I am sorry I havent taken before pics of every single pair of shoes and every single bag Ive ever taken to Benson Shoe Repair, because any after pic by itself would never convey whatever leather jujitsu this man does. I do, though, have before and afters of my Birkenstocks. As good as they look, the transformation of my shoes, boots and bags is even more unbelievable. Its like getting something brand new every time! Very friendly proprietor, other customers are always friendly, and I love love LOVE the dog.

I had two pairs of sandals that needed repaired. One just needed re-stitched, but the other was a pair of Birkenstocks. The leather that went between the toes ripped and I thought there was no way they could be repaired. I was wrong. Benson Shoe Repair for the win! They not only repaired them, they were ready in just a few days and the cost was incredibly reasonable. They also were honest when I asked about resoling my daughters Birks. They told me they could resole them but it would be better to just purchase a new pair. Excellent craftmanship, great value and honesty! I highly recommend.

They do AMAZING work! Best shoe repair in Omaha. I took my favorite pair of Chelsea boots I’ve had for years here recently and they look brand new. They were basically shot (as you’ll see in the before pictures, the heels were so worn down that they were uneven. They completely rebuilt the heels, stained them (you can’t even tell where they rebuilt it!), and polished the leather. They look better than new!

The proprietor took care of a problem for me that was the fault of another cobbler. He fixed my boots while I waited & was very reasonable. His Akita/timber wolf was beautiful.

Mike and his team are true miracle workers. I brought him two pairs of Frye boots that had walked the streets of New York City for nearly two decades and had been patched together by a series of dubious cobblers. He basically re-made both pairs, raising them from the dead. And man, they look fantastic! All for a very fair price. This is high quality workmanship and Mikes a nice guy to boot. Pun intended. Highly recommended.

Took my old pair of Cabelas hunting boots. I have had them 25+ years. There was a broken welt on one boot. Both boots were in pretty bad shape. They were totally rejuvenated and look like new now. Very fair price. Repair was fast. Very courteous!

Very cool shop that feels like you’re stepping back in time. They are very knowledgeable and passionate about their craft. They resoled my shoes for a reasonable price and they look and feel better than new.The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that they quoted me 1-2 weeks when I dropped the shoes off and it ended up taking 5 or 6.That said, it’s worth the wait and I’ll be going to them for any future shoe repairs as well as referring my friends/family.Update: I just went to have a second pair of shoes re-soled. They did a fantastic job and the shoes look better than new. I wish I had taken some before pictures for a before and after. Lightning quick turn around this time. Five stars!

Mike is awesome! I had a shoe strap that needed to be repaired, so I brought it in to see if it was salvageable. Maybe it was because it was a relatively simple fix, but he went to work on it right away. He stitched it up with a few minutes, and I am very pleased with the work! Mike fixed my moms purse after 4 other places told me it was too difficult of a job or they wanted over $200 to fix it. He did it at a reasonable price and quickly too. I expected the repair to take at least 1 week but it was a few days shy of that! Super pleased with how this worked out and he did a great job. Just picked up my completely re-worked shoes and they look amazing! They saved and rebuilt the heels of my very favorite red pumps, and put in a new insole and added new rubber to the chunky black heels. Both pairs are like new! I’m simply ecstatic! And very reasonably priced for the amount of work!!!

Mike is amazing with the work he does! Brought a pair of boots in that were almost near missing the heels out of them. He replaced the heels with a stronger Vibram heel, replaced the wrap around the heel, and shined them up to look brand new. I didnt even recognize the boots as being mine when I returned to pick them up. Awesome work guys!!

Honestly, I picked this business off a list Google brought up when I was looking for purse repair. I called a different place first and didnt like how that other guy at unnamed business answered the phone. I love Benson and try to support the businesses there when I can, so this place was next to call. From the moment he picked up the phone until I left after he fixed my purse was a five star experience! Mike has been in business at that location for 40 years and you can tell he makes a friend with each customer. I thoroughly enjoyed talking with Mike and Tony and the dog Maximus, and it wouldnt have been quite the same without Homer either! Made my day! And enough about customer service, he did a great job on my purse! I got it an estate sale years ago and used it for a long time. The handle broke and the inside was ripped. It is vintage and I just cant find one I like as much. He made it look just as good as it once was in no time at all!! Thanks a lot!!

I just picked up my favorite pair of shoes today and am totally pleased with the job to refurbish them. I had the heels and soles replaced and the uppers stained and polished. They now look better than new. With the black cat soles and heels, I prefer to wear these shoes on wet days, rather than my leather soled shoes. This level of workmanship deserves 5 stars.

I agree with all the other five star reviews. I used Benson Shoe repair for the first time yesterday. I enjoyed talking to Mike. He explained what could and could not be done with my shoes and, as all of his customers know, he emphasized that he will call when your shoes are ready. Two hours later I was surprised to get the call that my shoes were ready. The price was VERY reasonable and my shoes looked GREAT. This is the place to go for shoe repair.

I went to Benson Shoe Repair this afternoon. I took a single shoe in that needed to be glued. The sole was seperating from the upper part of the shoe. Mike introduced himself, stopped what he was doing, and did the repair right on the spot. I dont live very close to his shop so I was happy that I didnt have to come back and pick it up another day. Ill be returning to Benson Shoe Repair for all of my shoe and handbag repairs.

Dude is legit, did me well. He knows what he is doing. Would go back 100% I had a pair of work boots that were poorly designed, the inside of the boots would tear my heels to shreds, had horrible blisters. I tried everything I could buy. Decided to call shoe repair place. He sewed a nice piece of leather in them. Best money ever spent. Cash only, keeps pricing down. A++

I burned a huge hole in my $250 Columbia coat and was totally heartbroken. I took it in and he said he would do his best. Came back to pick it up and he did PHENOMENAL. Put a ton of time and effort into every stitch and patch. The colors almost match identically. Not to mention he is extremely reasonably priced. If you need any kind of clothing, shoe, or bag repair; he’s your guy. 110% recommend; I definitely will be a returning customer.

They did an outstanding job on what was a for sure a challenging task - two other places said they couldnt do the job. I have no doubt my wifes Taz slippers will last years longer because of the new soles they created, so the cost was certainly worthwhile. The strap on my favorite purse broke for the third time. The company wouldn’t fix it because it was “out of warranty,” but I desperately wanted it repaired. My work shoes were fine, but he completely ruined a pair of my wife’s Frye boots. They came back to us dyed a different color, caked gunk all over the brass detail and sewing, and the heel he replace was oddly heavy; to the point it made the boot fit odd, because it’s now weighted down at the heel. I guess he’s fine for men’s footwear. Just not her $400 boots. So much for getting them shined & repaired, they came into his shop a caramel color, left dark brown and streaky, with a heavy uncomfortable heel, and brass that’s now brown. She’s hoping to find another repair place that can fix what he did to them.

Unbelievable! Saw what I thought were my boots on the shelf...but they are like new. As well as my Cole Haan flats. This is truly the village cobbler shop. Got heals replaced but they took it to another level.

Took in a pair of jeans for a new zipper. He got right on them for a very reasonable price. And I also got a lesson on silver availability.AND Maximus Hemoroidus Canine is a beautiful wolf.

They were CHEAPER and BETTER than all the other shoe places in Omaha. They fixed a heel everyone else said they could fix for a third of the price.

I took a pair of silver flats that had leather damage and wanted them polished.The owner said it was going to be difficult to match to color and he would haveto make a special mix. He told me when to come back for the shoes which I did a few days later. When I got there he had a sign up that he was across the street at Louis Market. When he finally got back I discovered he hadnt even touched the shoes. Even more amazingly, he said he could polish them right away and took a can of GOLD spray paint and painted my silver shoes gold. I was stunned to watch him do this. When I asked him if he was color blind and what about the special mix of polish he was going to have to make, he just said he could fix it and took silver paint, painted them silver handed them back to me and just said there is no charge. Really!! No charge. Youve got to be kidding me. I had worn them many times and they were not hugely expensive so I just took them and left incredulous as to how that guy stays in business. Dont go there!
