I’ve been delivering here with years. Never wrote review because they were always somewhere at the middle(not too bad and not too good) But this place getting better at receiving. The guys were nice and polite. I checked in before 9am with 10 am appointment. Unloaded completely at 10am.Keep the positive energy!

If I could give this place zero stars I would. My Fiancee worked here for a few weeks, this place was completely unprofessional and LIES from the start! If you have a family to help support definitely not the place for you. Also pairing a non-smoker with someone who smokes like a chimney. Is not a smart idea. When going in for an interview, be sure to ask if your semi has working A/C. Not to mention the complete disconnect of communication from the warehouse,trucking,and HR I could go on but Ill stop there.

Absolutely terrible place to work. Company offered me a laser operator position, instead job was actually general warehouse labor work. I dont mess around with that kind of nonsense or type of company that would engage in such dishonest unethical behavior.If you need someone to setup program and operate a two million dollar laser Im the person you call. If you need someone to band skids, tap parts and clean, you call a temp service.The owners reply is inaccurate. I spent three days performing general warehouse duties and secondary work with absolutely no path forward. When I inquired as to when the training would begin, I was told weeks out we have other stuff that needs to be done before we can begin training you.Company pulled a fast one -- they needed a general-labor-helper and figured a senior-level worker with my background was perfectly willing to drive 100 miles a day to do general labor work for an extended period of time.Moved back to New York after that. Four months into the job I have yet to be asked to do general labor work, clean floors, stack skids, tap parts or anything that would be assigned to labor workers.I am a very senior programmer/technician/lead operator whatever you want to call it. I set up and program jobs so the labor workers can run the machines. I am not now nor will I ever be one of them. Any company that refuses to realize that is deeply confused and poorly managed.Perfect description of State Steel right there.

This was my first time dealing with State Steel of Omaha. The employees we very helpful, guided me through the building, and courteous.

Called and asked about round tube,lady tells me they don’t carry what I need.Call a buddy and he says his buddy gets all his round tube for doing rollbars there.Guess I will stop by in person and see if we can change this from a one star rating or not.Went there in person,ordered three sticks of 1.75” in 11 gauge.Biggest thing is they want you to make an appointment to pull three pieces of pipe so I had to leave and come back three hours later but it’s not like they pull it and have it waiting,you show up and they pull it.

No explanations. Just believe and trust the 1 star ! You will thank me later ! 😉😎✌

This is by far the worst company I have ever worked for. I was treated extremely poorly by the Human Resources employee, management doesn’t care about the issues going on within their own walls, and they also don’t care about their employees. I wouldn’t go back even if they paid double.

Very professional, nice people

Friendly crew, and pretty quick at getting you loaded/unloaded, though they do get busy real quick. Would give 5 stars but they need to widen the curve for the south rail bay, I hate dropping both trailer axles in the 2’ rut.

Came in today with a truck load of tubing. Was empty and out in 90 minutes (including me untarping and unstraping).Wish other places were as quick.

If you are a driver delivering to this place,good luck. My advice to you is drop that load,look for another or you will waste your day at that stupid place. They appreciate their business very much but at the same time they dont appreciate your at all. So,final advice,DONT GO THERE.

Not a horrible place was a little slow have 2 door and 3 bays not the best setup, the workers tend to gather and chat alot i sat inside for almost 2hrs b4 starting to unload. the workers are very nice and easy going. over all not the worst place ive been and not the best. (still aint found that one lol)

I ordered 1 small stick of steel and was told it would take over an hour to pull the item for pickup. I could have walked in the back and pulled it off the shelf in 2 minutes. The obviously are not concerned with time. they are a company I won’t do business with unless I’m forced to.

Worst place i have ever worked!!..Dispatcher has no Clue what he is doing!!..They Hold nobody accountable for there actions.Always drivers Fault..Turn over is Bad!!Run if your looking bere for a job..
