My husband and I have been meeting with Elaine for a few months now and we both thoroughly enjoy working with her. I always look forward to our future sessions. One thing we admire the most about Elaine is that she’s been in this field for quite some time but she still carries such a passion for her work/her clients and she continues to learn things. She helps us break things down so we can really understand one another. She’s encouraging, compassionate, empathetic, respectful, funny, REAL, kind, and caring. I first sought Elaine Wells services as a marriage therapist 23 years ago after hearing her speak at a seminar. We had seen three therapists before Elaine and were frustrated because we werent making progress but were spending lots of money talking about our childhoods rather than the problems in our marriage. I was so impressed with Elaine Wells at the first counseling session because she got to the heart of our issues immediately and we left after one session with tools for communicating and interacting and dealing with conflict on some very emotional topics.Elaine has experience in working with individuals with addictions. In just a few sessions, Elaine saw through the smoke screen and walls my ex-husband was putting up and told it to us straight as a couple and individually - when addictions are involved, couples therapy is a mere bandaid because what is needed is for the addicted individual to get help and healing first. Elaine could have wasted our time and money for years on marriage counseling knowing that we couldnt fix our relationship until each of us was healthy. I appreciated her honesty and integrity. Elaine also cautioned me on possible behaviors that could occur if I stayed married to a man with multiple addictions. I didnt believe her at the time because I thought he loved me and the kids more than his addictions. She also counseled my spouse on what steps he needed to take to overcome his addictions. Elaine truly cared about both of us and our well-being individually and together. Unfortunately, everything she predicted happened and we eventually divorced. Luckily, I had taken her advice and prepared for this worst case scenario in the event that my husband chose not to work on his addictions.Fast forward 23 years. I recently sought out Elaines relationship coaching services again. This time to help me overcome many irrational fears as I navigated a new relationship with a wonderful man who wanted to marry me. Thanks to Elaines counseling, I was able to say yes and will be married soon. She has even given me some great tools for communicating effectively with my daughter. I highly recommend Elaine Wells as an effective and professional relationship coach with many years of experience! Ive also referred her to several couple friends of mine who were looking for expert help for their relationships.
