I have met with Loren for over 6 months now. We have worked on numerous things, and when something comes up he thinks another therapist would be more suited for an issue, or give a different perspective, he refers me to them for it. Ive worked with multiple staff with different specialties and modalities. ALL of the staff Ive met, even when passing in the hall, are kind, friendly, and welcoming to the practice. The waiting rooms are relaxing and private. If you are looking for mental health treatment, this is the place to go!
The waiting room was very calming and welcoming. My therapist took the time to listen to my concerns and help me find better solutions and ways to cope with my life. Highly recommend!
Suzanne Piotrowski is a wonderful therapist! I am so thankful I found such a great match on the first try! She has helped me find words that I could not and has given me a deeper understanding of myself. I am in such a better place now than when I started. I would highly recommend Suzanne at Sage Counseling!
I had an appointment set up for virtual counseling, and i witnessed unprofessional phone etiquette, got hung up on, and still no link to this counselor Shawna. Now no one is answering the phone. Counselors these days act like they need counseling. smh I would give 0 stars. Edit: and no one reached out. Disregard the damage control comment they left. Keep serving those in your community, because thats the feeling youve provided.
Kimberly Wittmeier goes above and beyond for my son. He really enjoys his time in his counseling appointments. I would recommend Sage without hesitation for their warm and welcoming atmosphere.
Sage is amazing!!! Very warm and inviting and extremely helpful. I would recommend them for anyone needing help improving their quality of life.
Without saying too much, I have had a very good experience here. I have had no desire to experience other practices, and I am very pleased with my decision.
We saw Brittany Matney at Sage counseling. We didn’t get a long great but I didn’t know any better so I continued into treatment for my son to get him diagnosed with ADHD. We saw her when he was 5. She diagnosed him with ADHD but said that we couldn’t start medication treatment until he was 6. All the while he continued to struggle with school and peer relationships. I was upset but thought that was the rule. So we waited the month and a half and started medication on his 6th birthday. Once we figured out the right dosing which took a couple months I figured we would meet every 3 months because why should we need to meet monthly if nothing changes? If there was a concern, I had the means to contact her- nope! She stated it was her policy to meet monthly for the length of treatment- in my sons case that would likely be his whole adolescence. So I found another provider. Dr. Lubberstedt and he was shocked to hear of how she practiced- there was no evidence based practice that said we had to wait till 6, we do NOT need to meet with him monthly AND she had us call her Dr. Brittany but she isn’t even a doctor. She’s a nurse practitioner who didn’t even specialize in mental health- she practiced in family practice!!! How in the hell are you going to write yourself up as a DOCTOR of mental health when you don’t have either qualification?!?! I know it was within her scope of practice to give us medications but that was shady as hell.. OH and when talking about side effects of the medications she said loss of appetite was a concern but said that in my sons case it was probably a good thing- to his FACE!! A 6 year old! Any true mental health practitioner should know that you don’t say things like that because you can trigger an eating disorder. WTH?!? I have told everyone about this and made sure people know if they are seeking mental health care to absolutely avoid this “doctor” !!
They helped me very much! great service!
They are all very helpful and nice!
Both Lauren and Suzanne were great During Treatment they were always there When I need it Communication with them is great. I really cant say enough how much I appreciate everything Lauren has done for May I now have been sober a while I have my daughter back my boyfriend is finally getting his act together everything is getting way better I have hope that the future will be OK. I know my effort plays a big role but I still communicate with Lauren on a regular bases Because The support I got from sage made a huge difference in my life and I would recommend anyone that needs help turn to this place
Loren Dexter is very professional and cares about his patients. He listens and offers solutions. Sage Counseling is a place that is really there to help improve peoples lives if your willing to do your part. Loren Dexter is excellent at what he does because he really cares about a person living a healthy life and doing better.
Great therapy place, they actually listen to what you are saying are give you feedback to help but it only works if you want it. When I started I wont say I didnt want the help exactly but I wasnt helping myself i was just feeding my same behaviors which makes things I really need to do even harder. It takes alot of work and Im not even close to where I want to be but its nice to have a person that will walk with you and help you get there.
Loren, Suzanne and Kyrstin are very passionate about what they do. If you put in the work they will go to bat for for 100% of the time. I can actually say for once Ive learned something from IOP and I am grateful for their compassion and effort. The atmosphere here is so calming, clean, and relaxing, It really puts you at ease as soon as you walk through the door. Thank you guys for everything!
I was really struggling with my 4 year olds behaviors so I did hours of research on different ways to help her. I discovered PCIT and tried to find a therapist in the omaha area who specializes in this treatment. I was told that Suzanne with SAGE performed this type of therapy so I signed her up. My daughters father and I were going through a tough split and so there was a lot of animosity and tension between the two homes. I had several issues with Suzanne, one of them being she did not implement the PCIT in any way shape or form. This therapy was not helpful for my daughter at all. I asked about it and when I asked any questions regarding how I am supposed to interact with her or what her dad and I can do best to transition her into two homes, I was shut down, told that these sessions were about HER ONLY (as if how we interact with her doesnt involve her?) and told to sign up for OTHER sessions on top of the ones we were already attending, as if she was trying to upsell me for more sessions.. On top of that, we went into the therapy telling the counselor that my daughter has issues with telling lies and she is obviously very well cared for but Suzanne called CPS on me anyway. I had CPS to my home and allowed them to speak with my daughter and they immediately closed my case because the accusation was absolutely absurd. I took my daughter to this therapist because she needed help and I needed help being the best mother I could be. This felt like the ultimate betrayal of a therapist and I am just shocked that someone who is supposed to be helping children and families would betray a mother seeking help like this. If a counselor cant see that a child is in a loving home, they are in the wrong field. This therapist needs more training or something to learn what ACTUAL concerns look like.
Amazing place! Loren is the best counselor around. He makes you feel, like you matter. Your not just another client. He relates to you and what you are going thru. Great establish. Not like those big $ firms
I waited a month for my results. I only got them because I called. I was told 5-7 business days. They took 20. I was trying to get into rehab. They took 20 business days. A Month. I tried to end it all during that period to no avail. When I could have been getting help.
I feel like I found someone who is not judgemental and listens to what Im saying. He is able to discern my crazy rambling to find the logic and underlying issues to work through.
