Placed an order via phone, there was an issue with my debit card that I corrected immediately with a text to my bank. My account reflected a charge and a credit. Called back 2 days later to check in my order, was told by someone who I had difficulty understanding that my order was fine, my card would be debited when the order was shipped and I could expect the order to arrive on Christmas Eve. Called today, Christmas Eve, order never was placed and of course it won’t be delivered on Christmas Eve. Customer service rep could not explain what happened, no record of my phone call to check on my order. Friends and family coming over for dinner tonight now I have to go shopping on Christmas Eve.
I placed an order on 12-16-19 for a package special from Omaha Steaks. It was to be delivered on 12-28-19 since we would not be home for Christmas.We used to order multiple times per yr. The order was sent from Omaha to Fed Ex on 12-23. It arrived in Kansas on 12-26 at nearly 5pm. It was then shipped to Flagstaff, AZ nearly 2 hrs north on my location (Prescott area).Fed Ex then bi-passed Prescott and delivered to Phoenix, AZ on the 28th, nearly 2 hrs south of our location. Our order was now scheduled for Mon the 30th. It arrived in Prescott at Fed Ex and was put on the truck at 7am. We then received our order at approx 6pm at night. Our potatoes were soft and the steaks had started to get soft. Omaha Steaks did NOT put any ice in the cooler! 7 days WITHOUT ICE. When I called to complain, Omaha only offered to replace the potatoes even though we are long standing customers of Omaha Steaks. No other coupons or deals offered. Never Again will we buy from Omaha Steaks. Go to your local grocery store instead.
Really wanted a subscription with Omaha steaks. I ordered $175 worth for my first order. “Payment meathod was not accepted” when I ordered online. I received an email telling me to call a number to resolve. Called number, waited on hold for 30 min. Finally spoke with someone who said he couldn’t help me in his department, he couldn’t transfer me to the correct department so gave me a number to call. Called the second number - spoke with someone after holding 10+ minutes, she couldn’t help me so transferred me, waited on hold for another 30+ minutes and finally gave up on reaching someone to help with my order. So, I contacted customer service via email. Their automated respond dates someone will be In touch within 24 hours. Waited 2 business days, no response. So emailed again, 2 business days later still no response. Emailed a third time, been 2 days still no response. I’m sure their steaks are as great as everyone says, just a shame I’ll never be able to enjoy due to poor customer service. I’m going to try Chicago Steaks and see if I have better luck.
