The commissions I paid to the Firm has to be the poorest way I have ever spent Money! Yes the Firm did bring me a buyer and Yes I sold my business. This is where it ends. All through the process, I was left to feel that I was the competition. Come to find out the buyer had the same feeling. I was led to believe they were working for me. They were clearly working for themselves. Saying and doing anything to get the deal done. I asked for helping negotiate a better deal and was told that the buyer was done. When in fact the buyer was never approached. Hence keeping their commission high. In many cases, we were left to our own devices to figure out the processes to this sale. Incurring legal expenses that The Firm should clearly been able to provide answers to. I was even told by Courtney Sells that it was Not Necessary for the Firm to come to the closing. However, just as we were about to meet, someone from the Firm showed up unannounced?I would not recommend this company to anyone trying to sell or buy a business. If you choose to do so, record everything!

Also found misrepresentations in the listings which had material impact on the deal valuation. This place is simply an untrained sales organization. It’s not a business brokerage that works hard to bring together buyers and sellers. Would not recommend.

Terrible business to deal with. I have been sent unsolicited emails even though I have requested both Cortney Sells, Molly and Meg to stop sending me mails as Im not really interested in any of the companies they keep trying to sell me any more. It leaves a very bad taste if they put you on a mailing list without an unsubscribe button. Makes me wonder how professional they are to be honest! I hope they will stop harassing me.It would be kind if you just stop sending me any mails as I believe I have been clear but it seems that all normal communication now is not working and I hope this public request will help.

Having both grown up in Omaha and knowing how small town/big city it is, my husband and I truly cannot believe that The Firm is still in business. Having been in the process of buying a business for almost a year, weve now talked to COUNTLESS lenders, commercial realtors, etc. who will not do business with this company because they know that the buyer and/or sellers have been sold a bill of goods that is false or entirely misrepresented!!!! For instance, attempting to sell a business whereby the owner hadnt signed the agreement to sell, yet taking a prospective buyer through the ENTIRE 4-6 month long buying process. Our advice....talk to ANY AND ALL major commercial lenders, SBA lenders, etc. DO YOUR HOMEWORK! DONT take their word for anything, no matter how many accountants and attorneys they have on staff, not matter how good they make the numbers look!! There is something to be said for the fact that the largest SBA lender will not do business with them! Also note that most of the 5 star reviews here are from THEIR STAFF MEMBERS! Dont be fooled like we were!! Id be happy to have a more detailed conversation with anyone considering using this company and point you in the right direction so it doesnt take an exhausting year long learning experience as it did us!!
