I’ve had a great experience living here. I’ve moved every year I’ve been in Omaha for the past six years, but I’m over halfway through my second lease term here because I love the community and my apartment. Any time I need maintenance, they are on it. I actually think they have gotten quicker throughout my residency here. If I ever need help from the office, I email, and I hear back in a timely manner. If I need a response quicker (because people get busy in the office; I get that) then I go to the office and the staff is friendly and able to help me.When I first looked into moving in, I looked at 2 bedrooms, then had to change my mind and look into 1 bedroom, then 2 again, finally deciding in a 1 bedroom. They helped through it all, and what kept me here once I moved in was spacious apartment, the staff, and the features this community offers.
I love my home here. I have lived here for two years in October. The few issues I ran into have been resolved professionally. Whenever I need anything the property manager Kaylee is quick to respond and help where needed. I have lived in three different apartments here and they have made it so easy to transition to each.
I can’t say enough GREAT things about this property. I wanna say THANK YOU to Kaylee and her staff. They were amazing and answered all my questions I had before I moved in! The apartment was amazing! I am so glad to be here and whenever I have a problem I call the office and they are quick to help me! I am so glad to call this place my home!! Thank you Kaylee and Staff!!! You are appreciated! 10/10 stars! ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
DO NOT TRUST. Very UNPROFESSIONAL. NEVER RETURNED OUR DEPOSIT.We contacted Leasing office on phone about an apartment unit and they gave us incorrect information about the unit that it was fully upgraded(Hardwood floor, stainless steel appliances etc). We paid the deposit trusting them 3 months before our move in date and one day they called and forced us to sign the lease one month before our move in date stating that if we dont sign the lease in 24 hrs we will have to lose the unit even though we said we wanted to take a look at the unit and then sign the lease. When we actually looked at the unit 2 days before our move in date it was not an upgraded unit and they started saying that they never said it was a fully upgraded unit and started asking for email proofs when we actually communicated via Phone. They never returned our deposit($300) back and asked to call corporate office if we need it back. Corporate Office(Lund Co management company) was not willing to listen and simply said decision was already made to forfeit the deposit. They wasted our time and money for no fault of us. Very unprofessional. NEVER TRUST THEM and Do not recommend this community.
Went in because no one responded to my email inquiry. I WAS interested in renting. The leasing agent was on Instagram on her phone when I came in. Was completely disinterested. She kept trying to get out of actually showing me a model, when she did she just stood there. No telling us about the place, nothing. I had to ask for her to write down every piece of information, she clearly didn’t want to help us. After we left we knew we will never be back.
Been living here going on two years and I haven’t had a single problem with my neighbors, the Property manager and leasing agents are fantastic, and the maintenance staff is great with fixing any issue and they are very quick
I was about to apply for a apartment at this complex until I came to the google reviews and read all the horrible reviews within the last year. They all get the same cookie cutter response, we would love if you would reach out to us so we can fix it. seems like after 10 negative reviews you should know the issue and be actively fixing it, it tells a lot about an apartment complex that is unwilling to listen to there residents and help them have the best quality of life within there apartments. Obviously something needs to be done at this complex to turn it around but unfortunately it seems like someone/something is going to get majorly damaged before the Lund company does something about it and even then it will be about protecting there bottom line. I do thank all the google reviewers for being honest and keeping me away from this mess.
Definitely not a luxury experience. Things are always broken and not fixed promptly.
Do. Not. Move. Here.Communication is poor, they don’t put anything in writing except their leases for their overpriced apartments. We lived in 2 of there apartments & move in was a nightmare. Both were absolutely disgusting when we moved in.When we moved out of our first one they had there vendors in our old apartment renovating even though our move out date wasnt until later. They moved all of our stuff into a pile in another room so they could lay flooring. We couldn’t even get our keys to new apartment until that afternoon because their vendor was still in the new apt laying carpet that wasn’t even stapled to the floor. It has corners pulled up, prices of carpet were coming up. Horrible cheap work.& shockingly enough were moving out of our current apartment here & they had our move out date the 13th when we were told the 14th. My husband even spoke with Christina (apparently the new apt manager?) prior & said moving out Friday was perfectly fine. Christina didn’t want to hear any of it & hung up on me trying to explain their fault to her.My husband called Christina back and we got “we have all new staff”. We have lived here 2 years & they have gone through so many people. & it’s your fault they can’t keep things straight.Do not move here. Much better & cheaper apartments in the area. You do not get what you pay for here.
I absolutely love my apartment! Its spacious, updated and feels like home. Parking has never been an issue. Maintenance does an excellent job, office staff is always friendly and helpful. Love that theres more than one pool & fitness center so its never super crowded. Its also nice that its right off the interstate so I can get anyway in town pretty easily. Would definitely recommend living here!
This was my first apartment experience, and overall I had a postive experience living at Whispering Hills. I loved my apartment and had awesome neighbors. I took a break from home ownership and had an amazing and relaxing year being spoiled by not having to shovel or mow the lawn. :) The apartment I rented was beautiful and guests that came over would compliment my apartment. I loved the large windows and the bay window in the master bedroom. I enjoyed walking around the neighborhood including the pond area by the 2nd pool. The staff were responsive and very helpful. The only few areas that werent great was I had a guest come over to my apartment and their car window was busted, we dont think anything was stolen but looks like someone was looking for something. I know this isnt Lunds fault, but I would recommend not leaving anythihg valuable in your car. Also, the dog poop bag stations sometimes would have no bags for a few days on occasion. I would have stayed longer but I had a life event change and moved back into a house. Thank you for a great year!
DO NOT LIVE HERE!!!! I made the worst decision ever living here. There’s no security at all which led to our car being broken into and BEING STOLEN COMPLETELY. And they did nothing about it. And our garage will not open leading to my car being stuck in the garage for days, and the office doesn’t pick up or doesn’t send anyone over. Terrible.
My experience with Whispering Hills has been HORRIBLE. I have complained more than once about maintenance entering my apartment without notice (the last time it happened, they said theyforgot to send the usual notification via email and that they would start placing notices on the apartment doors) I explained at that time that was not a practical solution because everyone is not in and out of their apartments on a daily basis. Why not just be responsible enough to REMEMBER to send the notification via email which has been working all these years. Sure enough, I was awaken in bed this morning with a maintenance man INSIDE my apartment. I was scared to death, and am still so mad I am shaking. He says he knocked which I did not hear. My purse was sitting open in the living room area and I was in my bed in a very vulnerable position. NO WOMAN should have to experience this, and when I called to share my experience with management and DEMAND that they return to electronic notification, I was not allowed to speak with the property manager. In addition, the parking here is horrible, I finally had to rent a garage just to ease the anxiety of trying to find a place to park, and they refuse to enforce their own rules regarding where dogs are allowed to defecate and the fact that owners are supposed to clean up behind their dogs. I have provided specific information regarding violators on numerous occasions and still nothing. Instead, I am greeted with the highly unpleasant smell of dog poop wafting through the area whenever I leave and enter my apartment. The sad part of all this is that the apartments themselves are OK although my dryer and refrigerator still do not work properly after numerous requests for maintenance. The management here is horrible and I am immensely sorry that I renewed my lease because this situation this morning was honestly the last straw.8/24/ update: As stated in my review, I called the office immediately after the incident happened, was not allowed to speak to the manager and never received a call back or a response to the two emails I sent outlining my concerns. This automated/scripted reply does not negate the blatant disregard that you have for your tenants.8/26 update: I was contacted by the leasing office here on site, and they agreed to issue electronic notifications as well as door notices prior to entry into apartments for maintenance purposes. Unable to determine if this issue has actually been resolved until the next scheduled maintenance visit.
Ooohhhh lawdy heeeee we go. First of all, we do love our apartment itself. But Lunds staff has been so incredibly unprofessional we almost have to just laugh at it all? Keli, our leasing consultant was amazing. He was pretty knowledgeable and very friendly. We were so excited to move in. A week before we moved in we came to check out the actual unit we would he moving into. The walls had patched up spots, the carpet was dirty and stained, the dryer exhaust wasnt connected, the dryers lint screen was missing, the blinds were broken, the water/ice on the fridge door didnt work, and there was a frozen paper towel roll on the balcony. Were we worried? No, bc they assured us it all would be move in ready for us in a week. So, moving day comes. We hired movers. We all show up to unpack. We open the door and our jaws dropped. Literally NO ONE had even stepped foot to fix ANYTHING. A painter showed up 2 days later to sand the patch spots down and spot paint over them (even though he said the whole walls should have been painted. Carpet cleaners came by in the middle of the day the next day to spot clean the stains. And maintenance stopped by the day after that in the middle of the day to fix the dryer and the fridge. 3 separate days to get it all done. 3 days i had to schedule my job and free time to accommodate something they should have had done. The terms of our lease were broken by Lund the second they dropped the ball. Well the first of the month rolls around and we have to reach back out to the office to find out how they would financially compensate us... $100 dollars.. Are you kidding me? Our last apartment compensated us $200 for the first 3 months bc there was a stain on the carpet- and we didnt even have to ask! Tonight was the final straw. My fiance went to pick up some mail just before 6, but her key fob to get into the front door to get to the mail room doesnt work (why would it? At this point we arent surprised). One of the women in the office finally came to the front door to open it and rudely told my fiance the office is closed.. Yeah were aware of that bc we can read the sign. Didnt even give my fiance the opportunity to tell her she was just checking her mail and that her fob doesnt work. Didnt offer to fix it (which we wouldnt expect them to at that time), at least give us some response like oh im sorry, if you come by first thing in the morning and we will fix it. All three women just walked right passed my fiance and acted like she didnt even exist. Im conclusion, the majority of this complexes staff have no idea what follow through means, or just being descent human beings. I have pocs of EVERYTHING but unfortunately it wont let me upload them.
I wish I could give this place zero stars because they truly don’t even deserve one star. Let me first start by saying the front desk staff is extremely rude and are extremely unprofessional. If you ever have any issues, good luck trying to get a response out of someone. They also have zero respect for the residents that actually follow the leasing rules and are good tenants. We had people that lived below us that had gotten the cops called on them 7 times because of drug paraphernalia and management knew about this, but refused to take action until 5 months later. They had so many excuses that were so invalid.I just recently moved out and never received my deposit back, so I called to check on it and they told me that we owed an unreasonable amount for carpet that they rip up and replace with wood flooring and so many other things. When asked about this amount it took me 8 emails to finally get someone to answer me. I still have minimal information and never received an actual bill, but got told it was sent off to collections because it was past my 30 days of move out. I don’t understand how a company can do that if they never send a bill.DO NOT waste your time or money in this complex. They charge you for the most ridiculous things, they are rude, and the cost is not worth what you’re getting. They claim to be a “smoke-free, luxury style apartments” but they are so far from that. Lund company is the worst management group in Omaha and I would definitely recommend elsewhere.
Ever since the Lund Company has taken over this property, we have had nothing but trouble. Their staff is very disorganized and careless. They lose packages with no regard towards their tenants sense of security or trust. Nor do they take complaints against other tenants seriously, even ones that may harm their safety. They make appointments and they do not show up. They dont keep records and then blame the tenants. It is a disaster and I would never recommend for someone to live there.
I love living here! They have really nice options for upgrades, the staff is very professional and helpful. Maintenance is really on top of things, and the property is really well kept. I also love that you have private outdoor entrances, which makes the apartments much quieter than other apartment buildings. 10 stars if possible!
I always recommend Whispering Hills Apartments to ANYONE looking for a safe, comfortable, affordable and well-managed complex! I lived here for a 2 years and if I hadnt bought a home, I would have stayed longer!Management went through some changed throughout the last 5-8 years, but the good news and that it keeps getting better and better.I LOVED the pools there and the fact that there are high ceilings, LARGE apartments with walk in closets and its centrally located!I love this place - you will too!
Keli is a great employee and helped me and my roommate out a TON. gave us a ton of information. Was always responsive and even emailed me a list of available apartments in my price range. He deserves a raise!
Whispering Hills has been the nicest apartment complex that I’ve lived at to date! The staff has been friendly and helpful and having the 2 gyms, 2 pools, a volleyball and a basketball court are a nice touch as amenities. This is a good looking property and it’s tucked away from noisy roads with access to the interstate nearby. Loving the location and new place so far!
Worst apartment management ever. I lived in these apartments for almost 3 years. It was great when Sheldon was managing the property. Lund company management is the worst. They are lazy and irresponsible. I moved out and provided a new address for my final bill. They never sent me the final bill. When i call to enquire about it, they told me that they sent the bill to collections and i need to pay the collector to settle the bill. Now due to the irresponsibility of the apartment management, i will have collections account on my credit report for next 7 years.Don’t believe in the other reviews. They are probably paid reviews or by their own employees.
This community is so great! The apartments are very spacious and the price is great! I feel very at home and it is so quiet! I have never had a problem with anything. Maintenance staff is so efficient and on top of their work. I HIGHLY recommend Whispering Hills!
We were interested in renting at Whispering Hills in June and were willing to start lease at the end of May. My boyfriend had been in contact at least 4-5 different times over the last 2 weeks trying to work with Management to make something work. We were really interested in locking down a 2nd floor 2 bedroom apartment they have available now vs getting the same floor plan on a third level that is available in June. We felt as if they didn’t want to earn our business and were disinterested in making something work. We applied for an apartment elsewhere today and after putting money down received an email from apartmentlist.com stating the floor plan we wanted on a level one will be available May 1st and is less money. This is EXTREMELY disappointing as we were just in contact with them again yesterday and were not made aware of a 1st level becoming available. We would have bit the bullet and paid double rent for May to have a first level that was less than the second level being we expressed we have small children and really needed a first or second level.Park120 went over all the options we had and really put the sales hat on to earn our business and make something work.
RENTER BEWARE - UNNECESSARY FEES EVERYWHERE. Ever since Lund bought the property, they will find any reason to charge a fee. I spent 4 hours washing the base board, scrubbing the flooring, and shampooing carpet. They will still charge you an unnecessary and exorbitant cleaning fee.Your mail is treated like floor decorations, and they are going through employees quickly. They will send you a large bill regardless of your security deposit when you move out.I’ve had good experience with Lund in the past, but the company is not doing well. In response they charge more fees in order to turn a profit.
I have never felt at home this is a great place to live the management is great with the tenants I have been living her in this community for 3 years now and I wouldn’t change it for the world the site managers are great to work with they do all they can to make sure the tenants are happy and very well taken care of. Emma and lily and and the rest of the team are great. I couldn’t have found a better place to live thanks guys you make coming home worth coming to.😊😊
Horrible place to live. The LUND company who is managing this apartments are horrible people. I moved out of this apartment and then had to call them multiple times to find out my last bill and they ignored me and finally it ended up with collections. These guys horrible horrible people to work with. Please do not go to this place and make your life miserable.Whispering Hills Owner - who should I reach out to with my concerns and what is the number I should be calling ?
Apartments are very big and nice for the price, although they are continuing to raise the prices. The parking sucked and we were always forced to park very far away from our apartment. Kids are constantly running around and yelling which can be heard from inside the apartments. The people living above us smoked weed and cigarettes in their apartment which made our entire apartment smell, and nothing was ever done about it after we complained. The amenities arent what they seem like from the pictures. The new yoga room in the fitness center takes up space that couldve been used for more exercise equipment. The basketball court is very small and was always being used we hardly ever got a chance to use it. The pool was constantly crowded and they did not provide enough chairs for people to use. Most of all the management was terrible. Any time I had to go to the office for something to ask a question they were annoyed and treated me like I was an idiot. They charged us $100 after we moved out for cleaning fees even though we left the apartment spotless. They did not allow us to do a walk through with them while they evaluated the apartment so now were stuck paying for charges that were made up for them to make more money.
When I was looking around the area Whispering Hills definitely stood out. The were super accommodating since I was all over the place about which floor plan I wanted. Its also really convenient to get to places being right by the interstate!
Best management though they changed recently. The best and safe place though it is not gated community. But still the safe. Nice place for families 3+ years and find this as one of the best communities. Maintenance is pretty quick and would address the issues on the same day or next for sure. Please keep up the work and Customer service is pretty important.
My boyfriend lived here for a year, and I lived with him for a couple of months. The apartment originally looked really nice (he moved into one of the brand new ones), but when he moved in we couldnt find a way to arrange the furniture - the layout was incredibly awkward (oversize bedroom, large but oddly shaped closet, too-long living room, kitchen that was only partly open to living room). There also wasnt a ton of storage space. The staff was generally very friendly. Even though the apartment was new, it was pretty cheaply done - the cabinets were not very solid and the counters were plastic/linoleum or something. The doors are all open to outdoor corridors under roofs which I actually really liked because it wasnt a hallway - it felt like your own house. The bedroom was huge (unnecessarily so), and the place itself felt pretty safe and comfortable - although there were a couple occasions where neighbors would smoke pot on their porches or behind the garages. The most annoying thing we found was a lack of parking - if you didnt get a spot by 5-6 at night youd probably have to park on the street - they just didnt plan for more than one car per apartment and there were a lot of apartments with more than one car. Either that or they expected more people to pay $60/month for a garage. The amenities (pools) were very nice, the workout rooms could have used some attention and overall I think it was way too expensive for what you got.Didnt have any particularly terrible experiences, but just wouldnt recommend.
Whispering Hills is an absolutely amazing complex! Beautiful apartments with many different options based on what fits your needs / budget best. The staff were always helpful and super reasonable! It felt like you were always working with real live people who truly care! Cynthia is the best!
The walls and floors are thinner at Whispering Hills than in any other complex Ive lived in. No where else have I received noise complaints for walking around my kitchen or had my lamps and plates shake when my upstairs neighbors walked around theirs. The office, instead of taking responsibility and explaining to tenants that the buildings do carry noise, will pass every complaint on to you with a phone call.Maintenance was timely, but usually not very effective. There were a few instances where I had to buy my own parts and do my own repairs after their several visits didnt fix the issue or they refused to acknowledge there was one. When comparing rent, know that Whispering Hills does charge around an extra $40 per month for additional fees on top of the normal rent price. They may also increase that fee amount in the middle of your lease, which is what my experience was.
When I first moved in the complex was very clean. Since the new manager has taken over, it isnt kept up as well, dirt and cobwebs all over the breezeways. Maintenance responds quickly; however, management doesnt seem open to improving anything for the residents. While I do feel safe here, I wont be renewing my lease, they raise the rent at lease renewal instead of giving preference to existing tenants, maybe management doesnt understand that it costs more to find new tenants than to keep the good ones you already have.
The apartments are wonderful but with the recent change in management, billing became a huge problem. We had electronic payments set up and the system was unsuccessful three months in a row pulling money from the account. Notice would not be sent until the payment was late which resulted in further payment grievances and staff that was not as helpful as could have been (but the situation was ultimately resolved). Upon us moving out, we inquired if we owed anything to which we were told no. We have recently found out that was false and are having issues getting a hold of someone who can tell us what we owe because they will not forward any bills to the next address. Still trying to resolve the situation having moved out four months ago.
I am the current resident. The emergency maintenance is the worst I have ever seen. The management sucks. We love the old management. I felt sick because of their delay in maintenance response and they recommended to chose a motel in case if their maintainace doesn’t show up.I wouldn’t really recommend this apartments to anyone here on. Fully dissatisfied.
Loooove this place! Have lived here almost two years now. It’s the first place I have ever renewed my lease! The staff is phenomenal; specifically Cynthia. She’s always so helpful and willing to make sure you walk away 100% happy! Highly recommend this complex.
Would not recommend living at these apartments. Ever since the new management took over they have been extremely difficult to deal with. I was scheduled to view a 1 bedroom apartment on a Friday at 4:00pm and when I showed up there was a note on the door that they had closed early--- no call or email to let me know. They are not efficient in responding to emails or questions. In addition, the pools were consistently closed last summer due to various reasons. We lived here for 3 years and when we moved out were charged a ridiculous amount for cleaning fees. The apartment we lived in was not in new condition when we left but we did clean it thoroughly before moving out. You can not expect someone to live in a unit for 3 years and it to be spotless. I will never consider renting a property managed by the Lund company again. Also they have 5 star reviews on here from their employees as an effort to help their terrible rating-- Emma bosco works in the office and I would place a guess that some of the other 5 star reviews are their employees as well.
I lived here for only a year I wish I would have stayed longer. The apartment was very nice and modern. The staff was very kind and I had no problem with none of my Neighbors. My neighbors would say hi here and their which was great. The location was awesome as well its close to the interstate so easy to get to places. The only thing is I wish they allowed pets but other than that I have no complaints:) very reccomended!!!
Apartment was reasonable for the price. Don’t expect much from the management as they are rude and don’t seem to care about anything you ask from them. Expect to get ripped off with extra cleaning charges when you move out even if you leave the place spotless.
Pros: clean apartment complex, apartments are nice, maintenance needs are resolved quickly, nice pool and basketball court, spacious and updated apartments, close to the interstate, etcCons: two women were robbed when I lived at the complex. The package room is constantly disorganized. The workout rooms are a joke. They will jack up the utility bill on you making you pay much more than expected each month. Sent emails to the front office that often went without response. When I moved out they charged me $226.62 in cleaning charges. My girlfriend and I cleaned the apartment to the best of our ability before we moved everything out.The apartment complex was in great hands when the Seldin company were in charge, but ever since the Lund company took over it has gone downhill.I would recommend looking elsewhere for a place to live unless you want crooks ruling over you.
Whispering Hills needs to improve the safety of their residents by providing security services, cameras, etc. There has been TWO gun point robberies, in ONE month.Managememt sticks letters in our doors stating so and that they will not provide any services, and it is solely on the residents to be extremely cautious and safe.Whispering Hills NEEDS to provide safety services, especially with it getting dark at 5 pm.As a female it’s VERY frightening/ crippling to walk to and from my car, after dark knowing there’s a possibility of someone coming up to me and pointing a gun at my face for a purse, phone, money, etc.I do not want to receive anything from Whispering Hills, unless it’s a letter stating they will provide services for the residents. I am not going to email anyone else or talk to management about it. I’ve said all that needs to be said and Whispering Hills can forward the message along.
I love living here! The office staff is so easy to work with and the location is perfect.
This is the absolute WORST customer service I have ever received. We moved in even though the first two times we tried to tour we were turned away by a rude young lady because she forgot to write down our appointments and wanted to leave the office early. We were given a free garage for 7 months upon signing our lease as a promotion, and were promised that we would be able to get the free garage during the winter months, but when winter rolled around they claimed to have absolutely no open garages, even though I was forced to give them a $25 deposit months earlier. They were extremely rude and uncaring with us throughout our experience. After arguing with Leslie at the leasing office, we were told that she would let us move out without finishing our lease as long as we gave a 30 day notice. Of course we took her up on the offer and came in to sign a notice to vacate, but the lady at the office at this time did not give us the time of day and threw a paper at us without explaining anything. We were just happy to be out of there.A month after moving out we still had not received a refund for the garage deposit (for a garage we were never given) nor did we get any of our original apartment deposit. Called the leasing office 5 times and were told each time that they would get back to us (which never happened). Finally we stopped by the leasing office and were again told they didnt know why we had not received our deposit back yet, and would take a message and call us back. After not receiving a call AGAIN we called Mike Hogan realty directly and were told that they received the notice to vacate, but were never told by Leslie that we were being let out of our lease and we owed 2 months rent now!We have been more than pleasant with everyone working for Whispering Hills and have received nothing but lies and a bad attitude. I would never recommend this place to anyone, even though the apartment itself was nice.
Since I started living here less than three years ago management has changed three times with no explanation as to why. Recently there has been two different incidents with women being held at gunpoint and robbed in the parking lots. Mowing gets done at 7am so if you are someone who likes to sleep in this isnt the place for you. Just this last winter I had a broken water heater for a week before it was replaced. I am currently waiting for my clothing washer to be replaced and it has been a week since I sent in that work order. Also rent has gone up $50 every year Ive renewed my lease so I will not be here next year.
Visited family and it’s a nice complex. Workers were nice when we stopped by office. Loved the fitness center!
Do not, I REPEAT do not consider living at these complexes. I have been here for 4 months and Im already jumping through holes trying to get out of my lease. In the 4 months Ive lived here there have been 2 people robbed at gunpoint. No cameras. Ive had a package stolen off my porch. Still no cameras. Ive over heard neighbors talking about their cars being broken into. Guess what? STILL NO CAMERAS. The complex itself and the Lund Co. (leasing managers) do not seem to care about their tenants raising concerns about these things. I was literally told We can not control when and where crime takes place. THIS PLACE IS BEYOND RIDICULOUS
Safe place and beautiful ambience. Quick service for any maintenance. Security system like ADT already built-in . We love each moment staying here.
Great experience very nice apartments and friendly people both staff and residents
Whispering Hills Apartments is conveniently located close to 680 Highway between Blondo street and Maple. It is right across the Builtmore Apartments and just like Built more, a number of its residents are students, medical residents and workers at Creighton University, University of Nebrasaka or Medical Center. The complex is at walking distance from Joslyn Elementary school and a short drive from other schools in the area. It has very open lay out with plenty of open spaces and foot paths to walk and stroll. The apartments are nicely built and offer full amenities including refrigerator, washer and dryers and dishwashers. The area is overall neat and clean and does not have the kind of noise you will see in some crowded places. There is plenty of parking in the complex and you can also get a one car garage for additional charges.Since the change in management in December 2018, the place has gone from being excellent to mere acceptable to seriously bad. First thing you notice about this new management is their rudeness and roughness with residents. You can walk in to office and they will never offer you to sit. Instead, they like to keep you standing and complete your business like that. Further the front desk person has some special education or something in rudeness that speak out bold and clear. General message is that you are not welcome!. Services wise, the situation has deteriorated as well. Common repairs that would be done in 24 hours with prior management are now taking about a week to complete and that is after several calls. The swimming pools are constantly out of order and closed several times. Throughout the complex, there are no speed signs or bumps. People are driving cars at whatever speed they want. This is definitely not a very safe situation if you have young kids with you. During winters, snow removal process is slow and during snow you can see several residents struggling with their vehicles early in the morning. The mail packages are handled by a third company. Its not a secure process and we lost at least three packages from here in 3 months. The company that runs this service has poor customer service and management here does not take responsibility for any lost packages. Bottom line, if you loose your package, you loose it...nothing happens afterwards. The general security situation is also not very good as close to holidays last season, there were number of incidents where people were robbed off while getting groceries out of their car. There have been few burglaries as well. The management prouds itself with security patrols which are far from reality. You can easily see suspicious people roaming around frequently close to Christmas especially in the area adjoining the pathway from complex to Joslyn elementary.Overall, because of its management and issues highlighted above, I dont recommend this place for any one. They do not do the walk around the apartment at the end of your lease as any decent company will do. You will try to call the manager but you will never be able to talk to her. They rather charge you exuberant amount of money afterwards for the real and imaginary repairs that you can not verify as you can not go back and confirm that.If you have thought twice or thrice, think another time before signing the lease here. We once thought to complain about the rudeness of front desk person to parent Lund company but a google search revealed that Lund company itself enjoyed 1.7 to 1.9 ranking. For sure, it has one positive review after every 10 or 11 negative reviews. The company appears to be in hard competition with some other locals for the top position from bottom!Addendum: Since these people have no shame in lying, I have to add this. When I visited the office to go over my check out statement, I spent 15 minutes and asked multiple times about details of the repairs. I was told in one line sentence about the details. It probably would have been great that you could have shared the pictures with me there and then rather than offering it now.
The staff have been very helpful and the property looks well maintained. The overall reviews on this place are outstanding. Im looking forward to moving in!
The property is currently the defendant in litigation for violating landlord tenant laws.
Love love love living here. Im sad Im moving honestly. The apartments are beautiful and soooo spacious. I live in a two bed two bath Armhurst floor plan. Its perfect because the rooms are far apart so not a ton of noise. Maintenance fixes everything fast. Surrounding buildings are quiet and calm. Staff is wonderful. Best apartments Ive honestly ever lived in.
I really like this apartment! It was very nice, affordable price, the staff are helpful, and maintenance request are quick at getting issue fixed. Too bad, I had to move, else I would have sign another year lease.
Worst customer service ever. The whole office is so hard to work with (especially Emma). For the service they provide rent should be more like $400 instead over $900. I would never recommend this place.
With Previous management (Seldin), it used to be very well maintained apartments . But as per my experience After LUND management took over this property it was one of the worst apartments to live in . The charge for MUD (water) got increased than previous one and their service is pathetic . I raised a AC repair ticket 4 days back and called their emergency contact numb as well, but no use . All I am gonna say is think twice before considering these apartments under this management .
The staff is wonderful and my apartment is everything I wanted! I highly recommend checking them out :)
Staff is incredibly friendly and more than willing to discuss issues with apartment. At one point whispering Hills was having issues with autopay and rather than notify us what was going on we received a notice for possible eviction. Luckily it was resolved quickly, but always check to ensure that your rent is beig paid otherwise it will happen to you as well. Maintenance is very friendly! And the service requests are always prompt and well done. The amenities are pretty fantastic but the garages are a bit expensive. They are now allowing pets however on top of a pet fee you have to pay a $25 a month??? Far too expensive and wrong to ask for a monthly pet fee. If you make less than 3000 dollars a month I really wouldn’t recommend these apartments as they are just far too expensive for what you get in return.
Enjoyed living there for 2 years. Best maintenance crew EVER.Office staff is very friendly too.
Good place. Good gym and swimming pool
Had requested maintenance on dishwasher and washing machine recently. The crew tried a few different things to no avail, camehome today to two brand new appliances. Thank you!
Hey Omaha! Your search for the perfect apartment is over. Whispering Hills is by far the greatest opportunity for anyone looking for a luxurious home within an all star community. Every Unit, Amenity, Maintenance Pro, Team Staff Member, and Neighbor are the best Ive experienced in Omaha. (and Ive had and heard horror stories from some rough goes at other properties that claim the same) I have lived here for 1 year and just signed my lease for a 2nd. There’s no BS, no scams, no surprises that come to bite you later after you’ve already committed to your lease. I cant imagine going anywhere else. From the moment you meet the staff for your tour to the first day you get your keys, Cynthia and her team provide a fun, kind, and hope filled experience that goes above and beyond what any landlord would typically ever do. The manager of the property, Cynthia Kusuma welcomes all people from various backgrounds and provides them with so much more than a new place to call home. No matter what you’ve been through, there is no judgement. She just wants to help you. She takes the time to listen to your story, she welcomes you to every option based on your needs, and genuinely cares about each one of her tenants. This leadership trickles down because the rest of the staff are exactly the same way. I was a little picky on where I wanted to live and Wendy took the time to show me multiple units, multiple times, last minute which meant that when I signed my lease, I did so with complete confidence. We have incredible views, our own private neighborhood, 2 pools, 2 fitness centers, a business center, clubhouse, and even an indoor basketball court (with amazing acoustics). The insides of these properties are fully updated and make you feel proud of where you live. I highly recommend this Community and feel extremely blessed to have landed here. 10/10 Come by and say hey to Cynthia and the team, you won’t regret it.
Good apartment as I lived 3 years in this complex everything was good except the attitude of the old maintenance guy
The management here is poorly run, very hard to work with. Dane is the only one that gets things done. If he were in charge of management, I would renew my lease next month. But hes not, so Im out! Dont move here!!!
Quick response. Followed up on the work ordera quickly.
Its very nice and quite no loud noise at all
New Management is Terrible and rude . It seems to me these girls in the office have been snatched off the street with no training whatsoever and were given some desk, office and pens .
Nice layout clean facilities
Beautiful apartments and the staff is extremely helpful, would live here again
The ladies in the front office are very nice and the maintenance guys are great. Renee the manager is very unprofessional.
We had cars and a truck packed and there with family and apparently the person who took the application wrote down the 30th instead of the 27th as the move in date. The manager at the apartments was extremely unhelpful and we were not allowed to move in the day we were told we could during the application. I was able to get ahold of the managers manager who was helpful and got us set up for the next day move in.Remember to call ahead if you are moving in.
Clean and moderate priced.
Management with strong emphasis on leasing staff is extremely rude and disrespectful
Very beautiful apartment complex to bad that Tudor heights cant follow suit very clean dont feel like someone is gonna attack me
New apartments but expensive comparing with neighbouring apartments.Fitness center is small. No indoor swimming pool. Apartment corridors were open to outside. In winter, it may be problem.
Nice places to live
Cool place
Dingy, tough stairs dusty snooty
