Had okay relationship while at lions head. The big complaint was the maintenance team was awful. Would fix something unless a major problem. Now my wife and I have had storm damage at our place at Biltmore. Have had issues for 34 days now. Still no ceiling. Please avoid this apartment management group.Update : almost 2 months after storm (51 days) we have a semi completed apartment and now we have water again. We hear from Richdale/Biltmore on google review more than we do actually on the phone. May need recommendations on a lawyer. Idk.
I wish i could give this group of apartments zero stars. They are horrible. I have had mold, broken burner, broken AC, broken bathroom fan, washer started smoking, bugs EVERYWHERE and so much more. It is extremely overpriced and no one ever answers the office phone. Maintenance doesn’t show up unless it is an absolute emergency and even if then it’s sketchy. Please take me advice and do NOT live here. Save your money and live anywhere else.
Cherrie at Move Out Deparment of Richdale company was the kindest and most helpful person i ever came across during my stay there. Many either showed me passive aggression by giving attitudes or were not helpful at all. Cherrie is quite responsive and helpful kind lady, who’s truly there to resolve your issue.
Gloria Alvarado is the best CSR Ive ever experienced in 40 years of doing business. She is a real pro . She does her job exceptionally well, not only because its her job. No she has it in her blood and you cant teach that. I would hire her away and give her a substantial pay increase if I were looking for a CSR because she is way more than that.
Very sad most of the reviews are with them not returning security deposit and for very same reasons. For the same Kris person in corporate. Not sure how everyone being charged for the kitchen counters. Same issue with me.Wonder how better you guys would be if you address this. Doesnt seem like you want to address this. 1 bad review even if it keeps just 1 person away keeps you at loss. Lol
I do like the style of my particular apartment. It has almost a cabin feel. The leasing office people are nice. HOWEVER, the corporate of rRchdale just take your deposit money with no real evidence and run. I have had a back and forth email chain where they ignore my questions and refuse to give me an invoice and proof that they spent ~$450 on cleaning my carpet (6 stains) (Also, small apartment). They finally said I would get an invoice within 24-48 hours. That was 2 weeks ago. I would not go with Richdale just because their corporate is impossible to work it. As far as I know, there is no invoice and they just pocketed my security deposit money. Also I never received any formal or officially document to show what they spend my security deposit on which is highly illegal now that its been literally 100 days (May 20) since I moved out and 66 days since I informed them that I never received one. And I am not hard to find, I still live in the same apartment complex. Also I never write bad reviews because I am one of those people that thinks benefit of the doubt. This is literally my first bad review ever and I waited over 2 months before writing this to see if they could make up for their mistake. I just want my security deposit back like I deserved instead of being scammed.
Your deposit will not come back to you.Believe me, they will not return it no matter how clean and nice you are.
Everyone pay attention to Autumn Groves review below. Everything she typed is TRUE. I personally have never worked for this company but two of the most important people in my life have, and they have been messed up physically, emotionally, and mentally to say the least. One of the people I knew would wake up vomiting because of all the stress and anxiety this job caused. Not only are they beyond understaffed, but they do not offer any support to the employees or residents. They are beyond selfish, and I will continue to spread the word of how slimy this company is. DO NOT WORK OR LIVE WITH RICHDALE COMPANY!
Take my advice and RUN AWAY FROM THEIR GROUP OF APARTMENTS. They will literally suck all the money out of you. Weve rented an apartment in Vanderbilt omaha last year and it was 1 year + lease. They took 1 month rent as advance $870 dollars. Everything was fine until we leased out of the apartment. We gave them the apartment clean and neat, hired professional cleaners to clean the apartment. And after a month they gave us a bill with false charges saying kitchen counters need to be replaced, bathroom counters need to be replaced and window is broken. Luckily we took pictures before we handed keys over. We are stll fighting to get our deposit back and they gave us a corporate office number but nobody over there cares to listen or call you back to resolve your problems. They think that they can charge you anything they want and youll have to pay them. Thats not fair at all. Im a contractor and Ive leased many apartments all over US before and this would take first place in my worst apartment list. They are not fair people and very rude!!! KRISTI KOOPMeiners is rude to people. She needs to be fired for christ sake. How can they hire such uneducated, foul mouth people in their office. Attached are the kitchen pics and they are charging us because we have ruined it. Please take a look yourself. They are frauds!!!!!
My husband and I were apartment hunting for a about a year and looked at this location various times throughout that time. At first we were not sure about it, but then they got new management and we had the pleasure of meeting Stephanie and her staff. They helped us get ready for the move in to be painless and quick. The best part? When the initial apartment that we were looking at became no longer available, Stephanie took it upon herself to find the perfect fit for a newly wed couple! We honestly couldn’t be happier about the unit we got. Great view! Amazing space! The energy is clean and feels like home.If you are thinking of moving and aren’t too sure who you can trust in the market, take my word and trust Stephanie! She cares and makes sure things gets done. Looking forward to making this apartment home!
Lived at Preston Village for a year and Ive never had so much trouble living in a complex before. We first paid our rent online, on time, but they never received payment due to their system having an error. There was no notice of this so they charged us a late fee. We were no longer able to pay online because of this and switched to money order. Anytime we would call the office or need something they would NEVER answer. The area isnt very safe either. One time we had experienced people knocking on our door and covering our peephole. We told the complex this and they did nothing - they didnt even warn their residents of anything. They also failed to give us notice on anything and never informed us of our requirement to file a 60-day notice of leaving, no mail, email, nothing. They are aware of this issue and of the fact that weve already moved out and theyre renewing the lease regardless. Ridiculous. Find a complex that actually cares about their residents.
Everything was great until I moved out and got a bill from a collections company for $5000. When I called Richdale, they refused to discuss it and said all communications had to be handled by the collections company. Never got a bill, despite speaking with the manager once or twice after moving out. Nothing about an outstanding balance was mentioned. My rent was $1050/month and they kept my deposit. I gave notice, but if I hadnt, that would still only be $1050-2100. The apartment was in good shape when I left. So how did we end up at $5000?
Easily the shadiest company I have ever worked for. If I could give them 0 stars I would. I have never written a bad review on any other previous employers, however this one is necessary. I once witnessed a family go weeks without AC in the middle of the summer and have to stay at a hotel because the regional manager refused to allow us to order a new unit until the maintenance guys had “fixed” it many times. They were extremely understaffed when I left due to lack of employee appreciation and their terrible incentives, which also means they will hire just anyone to fill spots. “Pro Club” is Richdale’s best incentive, and even that is a scam as it’s the same people who go every year. They also made all employees jump on here to write good reviews because their rating is so low. This company is a complete joke and I 100% recommend working/living anywhere but here.
Ive been an employee with Richdale for less than a year and it has been nothing short of goodness. The Houston office is still relatively new and growing but the vision is great and everyone is working hard to fulfill it. The owners are hands on and very present in all affairs, which makes it easy to see why the company is growing into greatness. Richdale is determined to convey the culture of not just making their communities a great place to live but also to make the company itself a great place to work. Living excellence and an excellent work experience, that is the goal. I look forward to many years of success and growth with the Richdale Group.
They would have zero stars if possible.I lived in a unit at Richdales Alpine Village apartments for 3 years. At move in I paid a $450 deposit, $350 for security and $100 for a pet deposit for my spayed/declawed cat. My cat passed away in early 2015 and I did not have any pets after that time.At my move out I turned my keys into Amanda, the Apartment Manager, after I had finished cleaning and taking video and photos of my unit. She told me that as part of the move out inspection a company needed to do a black light inspection of the carpet and pad to make sure the carpet was salvageable since I had a pet during my residency. (This was regardless of the fact that the carpet did not have visible stains of any kind as you can see in the attached photos.) I called to find out when the inspection would take place as I wanted to be present and was told by her that it had already been completed, that multiple urine stains were found in every room, and the carpet would have to be replaced. She stated that everything else in the unit was acceptable.I expressed to her that any stains found were not from my cat as she never used the bathroom outside of her litter box and that the previous tenant had a dog that obviously did use the floor as there were stains on the linoleum in the bathroom (notated on my move in checklist). She stated that the carpet was NOT NEW when I moved in, but that I would need to discuss anything further with Richdales Corporate office as my file was transferred to them now that I wasnt a tenant. (I would like to point out also, that my carpet was cleaned twice by Alpine Village -- for each year I resigned a 12 month lease - post the death of my cat.)I then called Richdale Corporate and the receptionist would transfer me every time, directly to a womans voicemail. I would leave a voicemail, the woman would never return my calls. After a week, she answered her line and I was informed she wasnt the person I needed to speak to and that I needed to speak to a move out specialist named Kristy Coopenheimer. When I spoke to Ms. Coopenheimer, she was rude and hung up on me after telling me that I would have to prove that the urine on the carpet wasnt my cats. I called back and asked for her Supervisor and was transferred immediately to Tammy Halls voicemail. I never received a return call from Ms. Hall.I received a letter from Richdale stating that they had retained 95% of my deposit due to carpet & pad replacement. They did not include photographs of the alleged damage, even though I was charged for photographs on the breakdown. Two days later I sent a letter via certified mail to the Account Reconciliation department at Richdale requesting copies of invoices for the replaced carpet and pad, proof that the carpet was new when I moved in, color copies of the black light photos, and the opportunity to inspect the underside of the carpet/pad in person; or a refund of the money withheld if they could not provide me with the information. I received no response.Today I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau; to go with the ONE HUNDRED THIRTEEN other complaints previously filed against them.I have spoken to three other tenants who left previous to me who had their deposits retained. In every case they were told the black light inspection showed the carpet was ruined.BEWARE as this is what you can expect living in a Richdale property.
I have been with Richdale Group for just over a month and it has been great. The work atmosphere is amazing and the people that I work with are knowledgeable in their own respective fields of work. Everyday there is something different which keeps the typical mundane work life away.
I’ve been living on a Richdale property for four years, and will probably continue to do so for the next four! I barely ever have an issue, but when I do it is always resolved in minutes thanks to Kim! She is quick, thorough and professional. Honestly, she’s one of the biggest reasons I love Richdale so much! Thank you Richdale, and thank you Kim for making my life easy! You rock!
Richdale has truly been amazing to me and my family.Ive had the opportunity of working with them across several of their properties and have never had such great customer service from a property management company. I would 10/10 recommend anyone looking for a new home, to consider leasing with Richdale. They have different levels of properties that can fit almost any budget.
Just wanted to say, that Dezra Bowers has been extremely helpful with regards to explaining and signing my lease renewal, There were some changes that i did not understand, but she took time to explain them to me, and answered all of the questions that I had, and was very professional. Customer service is very important, in all businesses, and she was there to assist me, in multiple calls.
Very Impressed with how the Richdale Group at the Corp offices has handled my concerns. Kim McDonald responded quickly and let me know each step of the way to handle and resolve a billing dispute that I had on apartment in Houston. This is uncommon. Thank You Richdale Group.
Thank you for doing the right thing. Changing from 1 star to 4 star. Thank you from myself and my family
Beautiful property ! I moved here (Woodlakes Oaks), 7 years ago and I have really enjoyed my stay. The staff is friendly and professional especially Bianca. The location is not far from attractive places like the City Center, Galleria, Memorial City Mall just to mention a few and the rental prices are very good considering the size of the apartments and the great location! I would highly recommend it, if you are looking for an apartment in this area.
I worked at Richdale as an intern over the summer and had a great experience. Company culture was amazing and always made me feel welcomed and loved. Really enjoyed the people I was working with. Upper managment is very understanding and seeks to give its employees the best opportunities to succeed. Couldnt have asked for a better experience during my short time there.
Ive lived at several apartment communities throughout the city and I have to say that Richdale Apartments ranks at the top. My apartment is beautiful and I am always greeted with a smile in the office. Ive been really impressed with some of the new features that have been added, especially paying my rent online and the parcel lockers which allow me to pick up my packages after hours!
I currently live at one of this companys properties. I cannot say anything but nice things about the management. They really taken the time to listen to me about any issues we may have in a timely manner. My family and I have been extremely happy with them. Its a good community to live in. I lost my card the other day and someone there was courteous enough to take it to the front office for it to be returned to me. This does not happen often. Thank you for all you do!!
I have been with the company since the end of May and have been a resident in Des Moines for about 4 months! As a recent college graduate I was nervous about getting out in the real world but Richdale has made my 9-5 work experience nothing short of amazing! I work with an amazing team across Des Moines and am doing something new every day! I have also LOVED living on property. I know that when I am helping others find their new home, I can guarantee that Richdale truly has their residents best interest in mind. Not to mention I get to live and work in some of the most BEAUTIFUL apartment homes in my area! :)
Just wanted to give a big Thank you to Karen from the office at Woodlake Oaks Apartments. I was having an issue with my ceiling from my apartment leaking and due to the moisture it was beginning to spot mold . I called the front office and reported it several times . It did take a few months for it to finally get it fixed, but at the end of the day . I was happy . I understand that theyre busy with other residents . So I patiently waited. So again thank you Karen . And also a big unexpected thank you to Chad from the corporate office . Like a few days after the ceiling leak was fixed . He took the time out of his day to call and check up on me . To see if I was satisfied with everything and to see if I needed or had any other issues he could help me with . Totally did not expect that from corporate office . Thank you Chad . You guys rock And truly care for your residents . And it shows when you reach out to your residents just to make sure things were taken care of . Little things like that make a big difference in my book. 💛💛 -Laura Estrada -
Based on my 3+ years as a resident, I emphasize that you should not rent from any Richdale properties. They do not take care of them, and continually raise the rent by $80-$100 per month each year. When negotiating a short extension due to a family health matter, they refused. They have no compassion for real life issues and are only interested in lining their pockets. After I moved out at the end of my lease, and turned in my keys before the end of the month, they elected to charge me for two weeks after my lease expired and kept my deposit to cover part of that. DO NOT RENT FROM RICHDALE. You will regret it at the end.
In my seven months long relationship with Richdale, I have had nothing but great experiences. The managers all care for their communities and residents and have always tried to address every matter as well as possible. While sometimes things dont go as expected, they are more so for external reasons and certainly not unique to Richdale. In my experience, this company is made up of good people who care about their service and product.
I have had a great experience working with Mr. Pablo Velez, who was our leasing underwriter.Simply Wonderful,Jermaine
Richdale has been awesome to live at. My experience has been great. Everyone is super friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for an apartment.
Visited one of their apartments while looking for a new place. Im still looking, but the the staff was very friendly and knowledgeable, the apartments were spectacular, and the location is convenient. Definitely on top of my list.
I have lived at several richdale properties in Lincoln over the past 5 years. Ive had nothing but great experiences. Very professional and super nice apartments! It definitely feels like home and don’t plan on going anywhere anytime soon 😊
I lived at a Richdale property for over four years and had a great experience with everything from maintenance and the leasing staff, to the well kept grounds, all the way through the move out process. It was a smooth transition and would recommend Richdale to anyone considering a new apartment home.
My first visit to Tanglewood Apartments was with Janet. She was knowledgeable, very easy to talk with and ask questions, and was a pleasure to meet and explore Tanglewood. My second visit was to complete the application process and finalize my decision and choice of apartments. I met with Hannah who was also extremely knowledgeable, very patient and respectful when I had some problems with the online application. She went the extra mile to solve the issue. It was also a pleasure working with Hannah . The other person I would like to compliment and thank is, Karen Foster, who responded through email and phone immediately when I had some questions. She took the time to understand what my concerns were, was very patient, knowledgeable, and so easy to talk to.In addition to all of the wonderful amenities offered at Tanglewood (and the location), you also provided all the necessary information, e.g., tour, handouts, etc. I want to thank you for a great experience and especially for your great team at Tanglewood.Sincerely,Terry Thorpe
My experience with the Richdale Group has been nothing short of great. Everyone is very friendly and wants you to have a great interaction with the company, no matter how short or long. Thank you for being so pleasant, all of you.
Richdale Group is an outstanding property management team. The management is consistently on top of their properties and is very professional. I have personally stepped foot on a multitude of their properties in Houston and have always been impressed with how clean and well-kept they are.
Student Movers Inc is locally owned and operated in Houston, Texas and we have done thousands of moves at Richdale properties. Each of the properties has been easy to work with and our company is happy to perform move-in services at each property. We are pleased to be able to provide quality moving services to such a prestigious company.
Wonderful office staff. Breanna Clayton (Customer Relations) and Kim McDonald (Account Services) are extremely pleasant and accessible. Breanna handled my maintenance concerns professionally and efficiently She followed through to make sure my unit was repaired in a timely manner-excellent customer service!
I’ve had nothing but great experiences with Richdale, accross several of their properties. The staff is always very helpful and patient. I will be leasing with Richdale in the future, without a doubt.
The apartments are absolutely beautiful!!! I absolutely love all of the staff and would highly recommend any Rochdale property!!!
I absolutely love my home here! The staff is all so wonderful, and Yvett was just a ball of sunshine, she helped me out so much in whatever came up! Definitely recommend moving here if you’re looking!
I only have good things to say about Kim McDonald she’s been great she has always helped me with my account since I moved and always been so nice with me ..
Avoid Richdale and Slosburg at all costs. The Richdale Group is currently defrauding me of my security deposit. I provided them detailed photographic evidence of my damage-free apartment (before and after/move-in and move-out), they sent me blurry pics of someone else’s damage, are ignoring my photos, and are illegally withholding my deposit. It’s apparent to me that they are doing this, or some variation of it, with all or most of their tenants. If you have a similar experience you can call the Omaha Police Department and reference Information Report #AP09777. I have also informed BBB and the Nebraska Attorney General’s office.
Bad customer service, very poor maintenance on all their facilities, when you move out they try to charge you for everything new carpet, new paint, new cabinets, new drywall, ridiculous how the try to rip off their new and old residents thats why I decided to take my business elsewhere. Corporate office accounting department never answers their phone and when they do they are very rude with no professionalism and hang up the phone on you, leave you with a bill that makes no sense what so ever. Kristi Kayser shouldnt even have a job at this place no customer service what so ever. They will do anything they can so they can keep your deposit and make more money off of you at your move out. Pictures are from My bathroom ceiling took over 2yrs to get fixed correctly because they were so cheap and not want to replace the drywall but the want to charge me for paint when I moved out so they can cover up more mole in the rest of the apartment complexes. When I moved in the carpet was all dirty and used up and they didnt want me to replace it oh please...
I was enquiring about moving around this area. Richdale folks are really helpful. Ill highly recommend them.
I never lived at this company, but about a year ago I was applying for jobs as I was graduating from college in property management. I found them through linked in, they knew I had only had a three month internship in the past, however said it wasnt a problem, and continued with my interview process. After I drove all the way to Minneapolis at 9:00am (I was about two hours away at the time), the lady that interviewed me talked about nothing but herself and her experience, for the whole interview. She didnt ask me a single question. It was such a waste of my time and resources. After two weeks of hearing nothing back from them, they emailed me saying that they were looking for someone with more experience and people skills. Uh, sorry you didnt actually interview me, and just talked about yourself the whole time and knew going in that I was going to be a fresh college graduate. After reading all of their reviews, Im so glad I found a great company to work for that is respected throughout the Minneapolis area. I will never live through this company, and I will never work for this company. Horrible communication and people skills.
Wonderful apartments with great amenities, the staff are absolutely wonderful and it’s a pleasure to deal with them.
Chatted with one of the staff. They were very patient in answering all my questions and helped me with using the right filters while I was searching for an apartment.
I lived here for about half a year now and what. a. joke. The management NEVER fixes things on time and if they do, the maintenance job is done so poorly that its broken again within a week. They lure you in with all their campus amenities but what they dont tell you is that have the amenities are out of order. The AC in gym was out for the entire summer leaving the gym temp at a toasty 99F. When I complained multiple times to the staff they kept telling me that the maintenance man was scheduled to come tomorrow. Well the tomorrow excuse was repeated the entire summer.Additionally, I dont believe that they have gotten my rent bill correct a single month that I have lived there. I keep on finding these hidden charges that when I inquire about them no one can seem to find the reasoning behind the cost and end up crediting it back. If I didnt keep a super close eye on my bill dozens of meaningless charges would have been assigned to my bill. TERRIBLE MANAGEMENT -- PLEASE CHOOSE SOMEWHERE ELSE!
I used Richdale Group for a move to Huston.I had the best experience.Customer service was amazing.I would highly recommend them.
Yes the apartments are clean and nice (save for the entryways). But it takes an act of god to get a response from the leasing office or corporate. I’m beyond frustrated and angry with how they handle (or lack there of) maintenance requests. What I find funny is that they are so responsive when it comes to renewing your lease then it’s radio silence when you actually need something fixed. Some of the office staff rock. Others, not so much. Maintenance requests submitted via online magically vanish. So definitely take screenshots and save the information. I thought things were getting better, but nope same old same old.
I wish I would have read these reviews before I applied. I sent in my application for a townhome at one of their small communities in Texas 2 days ago. I have rented my current home for over 4 years. I decided to move because I accepted a job with the Federal Government and the commute would be substantially better. I sent them my offer letter from the government and the underwriter called me and told me that it was fake and that there were discrepancies with it. I called the Gov office and they told me that Richdale never called to verify employment. I also called my current property management company in which I have FLAWLESS rental history paying more per month than their townhouses for over 4 years...and guess what? They never even called to verify it. I asked the underwriter how i the world could I meet the qualifications to hold security clearance in which the government literally investigates your credit history, employment history, background, and residential history for the past 10 years but I somehow don’t meet the qualifications lease their property. I found it odd that they photo copied my ID when I went on a tour. Obviously they use this practice to discriminate against applicants. I am appalled and disgusted with their discriminatory acts. To add insult to injury, the underwriter called me back and said that she would “ask” the committee to reconsider and that she would get back with me. NO THANK YOU! I’ll see you in court!
I enjoy my waters of Winrock apartment. I love when I can call corporate with an issue and the problem is handled immediate. Thanks to Jaime Marymee who always assist and follow up on anything that need to be corrected.
Absolutely atrocious behavior and customer service. They caught me on 1 lease violation for having two pets and without notice, demanded I pay $1,000 even thought pet fees are $500. After having a 5 minute conversation with a department head, it was agreed I pay $500. Every month after that I was harassed and over charged with more “lease violations”. When asked to prove their claims, the charges and violations disappeared. There’s a reason this company has such a low rating.
Great customer service, I will definitely recommend to friends and family.
Already regretting signing a lease with a Richdale owned property. All of these reviews are accurate. They will literally suck you dry in every way possible, give you a dirty apartment and treat you poorly along the way. The property managers are great but on the corporate side with Richdale there is a huge disconnect and they will lie to you over the phone about fees and other additional charges. 100% accurate what you read for reviews. Overall I am 1 month into my lease and I can say with 100% confidence that Richdale is an unethical company. Save yourself the time and money and rent somewhere else.
I have lived here for about 4 lease terms since 2012. I frankly have had no issues with Tuscany Lane Apartments and the team managing the property. Every time something has not functioned properly I have been able to get someone from management to help sort it out for me within 2 days. The only downside to living here is the counter tops are coated with some paint that literally attracts stains and they do not come off. When switching apartment, management deducted a good 20% from my deposit. If you had better quality coating on your counter tops it will stay clean from move-in to move-out. I understand the apartments are ridiculously old but good upkeep goes a long way especially for the location. I do thank the team at Tuscany Lane for making my stay there peaceful, affordable and safe.
Clean apartments, friendly staff and very attentive.
My move in didn’t meet my expectations, but they made it right so quickly! I was impressed with their customer service.
Do not do any business with this company or their complexes. Look at any review and listen to what the residents have to say. I know most people only leave comments when they are angry, but people are genuinely trying to warn others about this company that will scam you out of any penny they can get. Have a great day and dont sign anything with Richdale!
Terrible customer service, every time you try and contact them they won’t hear your side of the story just another money hungry company trying to cheat you out of any money they can get out of you. They also give snide remarks and threaten you but call it “advising” to make themselves sound better. Would never recommend anyone to live here!! Our apartment manager was great but Richdale is terrible.
Love my apartment home, nice staff! Cant wait to renew :)
Good staff to deal with, the staff deliver on all the promises made.
DO NOT MOVE HERE. Cheaply built and horribly put together. Bug infested, car break-ins, over charging on rent, no insallation(if its 20 degrees outside its 50 degrees in ur room, and thats with a space heater and the furnace up to 75). Water leaks have been constant, sewage backups that come up out of your shower (DISGUSTING), and an inexperienced maintenance team that, if they cant find and fix the problem immediately, your SOL (all of these issues were reported numerous times and they did nothing). The only reason I would ever live here again is if they paid me. Kensington Woods is a joke and so are the people who run it.
Everyone is so nice and helpful! Ive had great interactions with the staff and would definitely recommend to anyone looking!
The apartment was okay to live in, however the Richdale company (specifically the employees) were disrespectful when engaging in customer service and will try to cheat you out your money. If im a college student, I will stay clear of this complex and lean toward The view, Latitude, and 8N lofts as they make things clear cut for college students.
I enjoyed very much having the opportunity to work with management both on a complex and coorporate level. I appreciated the timely manner in which my questions and concerns were addressed. I have enjoyed my stay here at Lionshead. And I am looking forward to my up and coming move to the Buoltmore apartments... thank you again for helping me with all of my meeds.
Lived in one of their complex for two years with my fiance. Hes lived here for 3 years. I cannot even begin to list all the issues weve had here. Including every year our AC going out and them blatantly ignoring our maintenance requests, their secretary laughing at my upset fiance right in front of me and BREAKING INTO our apartment to catch any violation, and constantly changing our rent for reasons they cant even explain. Our lease is up in August and we cannot get out sooner. This place is only nice to fools who have enough money to not care. These apartments are nice but the richdale group is a dirty filthy money hungry scam. Will NEVER live here again!
If I could give zero stars, I would. Literally the worst company I have ever dealt with and zero accountability for an exceptionally poor property management company. Rude, unorganized, unresponsive, and overall terrible experience. I ended up moving out early. They re-let my apartment, but made me cut a check for over $6,000 for the remainder of my rent, and said I would receive a payment back for it once the new tenants successfully made their first payment. Still have not seen my check and it has been two months. They claimed they mailed it out, but not to my forwarding address, but to the address I was living at prior to moving into their apartment complex. Said I would have to wait 90 days or pay a fee for them to cut and send a check to the correct address even though it was their error. This was how the entirety of my time living there played out with various issues going unresolved and somehow its always on the tenant to jump through hoops. Would avoid at all costs.
Richdale’s corporate staff are horrible. I lived at one of their properties for a few years in Texas. The staff at the property level were fantastic. But the staff in Omaha are pathetic. They over charge you, don’t return your calls, try to take your security deposit when you move you (fought until I got mine back plus more), the underwriters are terrible, I really could go on. Everyone there from the accounting dept, underwriting, any anyone else are horrible. They are so bad that I reported them to the attorney general. I would stay far away from their properties. I was prepared to take them to court but they sent me a check. If you decide to rent at one of their properties, just keep your fingers crossed that you don’t have to talk to corporate. But the way they operate, you will. I have several other friends who have lived at their properties and everyone has the same complaint... corporate sucks
I will never, ever, ever rent from Richdale EVER again. Horrible corporate management of their complexes. They refuse to work with their residents and have never been helpful. Weve been stuck in a 15 month lease with them. We are literally counting the days till we are out. The leasing team at our complex was top notch and we loved them. Their corporate practices are horrendous.IN RESPONSE TO THE OWNERWhen we began having issues in OCTOBER, our leasing team did everything they could to help us. Once it was finally sent to the corporate office, I received ONE phone call. One. ONE. I missed this phone call. I called back ASAP. I had to leave a message. I expected to hear back the next day. I didnt. I called twice the next day. No response. I tried calling once every other day for TWO AND A HALF weeks with no response. I called the leasing office again and they said they spoke with whatever woman was supposed to call us and that she was, in fact, going to call us. She never did. I finally sent an email to this woman, another corporate person and our leasing office... begging someone to call us. NO ONE DID. Whoever this lady was, didnt seem interested in helping us at all. She finally called around 5pm some 2 weeks later. She was rude and quite obviously I was upset due to the fact that we continued to deal with the issues we were complaining about for that time and my calls were going completely unanswered. When she finally called, like I said, she was rude. I dont even want to go into details about how awful it was. The phone call ended with her saying, I will look into your situation further and give you a call back TOMORROW to see what we can figure out.NEVER heard from her again. I contacted my leasing office, they contacted her, she said she was going to call. She never ever ever did.A few weeks later, our issue got SO BAD we were having full blown panic attacks about being at home. I sent an email BEGGING, yes begging, someone to contact us. We finally heard from someone saying theyd let us break our lease but that we werent allowed to speak of our experiences with them again. We were never offered the option to move into a different apartment or anything. Im fairly convinced resident relations doesnt exist. Now theyre claiming they tried to reach us multiple times with no response from us. This is a blatant lie. There were 3 of us living in this apartment. At no time did they try to contact the other 2 living in the apartment. I never received a phone call or even an email. This response is long because people need to know of the faulty practices at hand.Conveniently, now that were coming to the end of our lease, the fantastic team we had working with us are no longer there. I can only assume this is going to be an extremely painful break of a rental relationship.
Good facilities and location relativity old apartments and appliances. Poor customer service and unprofessional staff in the biltmore leasing office.
Dont give them your money. They dont work with you. I was given the opportunity to have a different job in a different state to better my career and support my family better, but because we signed a new lease there was no working with us. DONT RENT THROUGH RICHDALE. They dont care about you. All they want is the MONEY. Properties are run down and not maintained. Areas with broken glass all over the place they refuse to clean up. Areas with no grass they say if you want grass plant it yourself. Fire doors missing their automatic closing mechanisms and left like that until fire department inspected. Many other issues not addressed until city inspectors fine them for it. They retaliate by increasing your rent as a result of calling the inspectors on them for not doing their jobs right in the first place. Exercise equipment broken and not functioning. If you want to live in a slum then this is the place for you.
Bad faith actors. Simple concepts elude the policymakers, staff, and administrative arms. If there is an issue, instead of contacting the tenants via phone they instead snail mail and wait for you to reach them. Corroborating facts, evidence, or information is not their strong suit. They will hide behind procedures instead of addressing actual issues like how no body is ever available at the office. Instead, individuals such as Zoey Wagner will just restate that two people are always there. Instead of, you know, seeing if thats indicative of reality.Ive never written a review before. So, dont be a tenant. The 1.2 stars is accurate.
I lived in Vanderbilt and now in Bristol Square! The apartments are clean and very comfortable! Great service too! Love it!
This company is not a good experience. They refuse to fix big issues but will look at it and say, “we don’t know how to fix so I’ll have to talk to someone else” and then never come back. I have caught them unlocking and walking in my door with out knocking, they change major things in the building like a lock on the laundry room with no warning, they hardly ever give a full 24 hour notice when they will be entering your apartment, when you talk to the main office or corporate they don’t ever have answers for you. Either they don’t know or they dodge the question and try to confuse you. They charge you for the cleaning if they don’t feel it’s done right when you move out but then when you move in it’s filthy. This overall has been the worst place I have ever lived and I would encourage anyone to stay far away from the Richdale communities.
After the move out for the refund check....have been following up since last 2 weeks for some person named Christy who is never at his desk even during office hours. The operators says he is the only person who deals with move out and she doesnt know where he is. This is the most incompetent leasing group ever..period...And I am now almost confident that I will never be getting my money back!!!!
My wife and I lived at a Richdale apartment and was getting harassed by a racist stalker at our apartment. We informed Richdale of this and did nothing. After it became a news story they agreed to move us to another one of their properties. They would only move us if we signed a new lease. When we moved we were charged with a slew of charges including breaking our lease. When we went to the apartment office they said that it was an error that they would fix but the corporate office kept putting the charges on the account. When we refused to pay they hit us with another termination and now I have two broken leases on my record. They are a horrible company who does not communicate.
Iam really satified with all of what they have done specially to chad he was ah niece guy and most of all he answer any question that i had the way he treated the issue that was going on with my apartment he was able to ressolve it fast and and give answer quick i aprreciate alot his help and the way he handles it was great thank chad for all of ur work effort to ressolve this matter on my apartment on briarwood property...👍👍👍
Very horrible management. They have been making me run back and forth for garage remote for past 3 weeks. When i finally spoke with manager Mandy, she had no clue but had standard answers.Infact started to blame me saying I am yelling/raising my voice and in fact refused to help me.Also threatened to call cops.unsafe place and very unfriendly management.
They are currently practicing extortion. They are going back on a prior agreement allowing us to have a reptile. We have had this reptile for the entire contract year. They are threatening a $100 fine and an additional $10 per day until its gone. Thats not all. They withdrew a contract that I have never seen or been able to sign. I have no way to resign a lease which they state I now have a late fee for not signing....the contract I cannot see...So because I was late signing the supposed 11 month contract for 750 they have changed the terms to 790 and 18 months. Oh and they will graciously wave the fees...
If I could give Richdale ZERO stars I would. This was the worst experience my boyfriend and I endured for 23 months while living in the Vanderbilt apartments.PLEASE if you are thinking of living at any Richdale community PAY ATTENTION TO ALL OF THESE REVIEWS.You will NOT get your deposit back despite the tip top shape you may leave your apartment in. You WILL be treated with disrespect. Your maintenance requests WILL take WEEKS to be attended to - and then they will not be documented in your account history. We were threatened with legal action even though we had no clue what was happening was wrong - or our fault. We were told not to use our balcony until further notice and then received NO further notice. We paid a $40 amenity fee each month for crappy gym equipment and access to one pool that was either closed 2/3 of the summer or filthy. The people in the office are rude and short. Dont expect them to listen to your questions or try to work with you at all.Just about they only thing you can rely on them for is cashing your checks. Vanderbilt and Richdale ONLY care about your money - not about you. What a poor way to conduct business. This was the WORST experience. I will NEVER live at any RICHDALE APARTMENT community again.
If you like getting pooped on you should rent from Richdale. Go read my review about Lionshead apartments if you want to get an understanding of what 12-13 months will look like leasing from this company. At the end of your lease you will be given the option to rent on a month to month basis. Our rent was priced at $250 more a month to go to month to month. Thank goodness I have had such a horrible experience or I might have considered another lease or the month to month option.I would recommend looking up the apartment community review as well as the company reviews, I made the mistake of disregarding these reviews, however, almost all of the them are accurate. Be aware that Money is the primary focus of this company, not the renters. As long as you know this, and are okay with this, good luck.
Edit: Richdale has responded to this and what they have said is inaccurate. We were told someone would get back to us the next day and never heard back from anyone. Also trying to get ahold of anyone at residents relations is nearly impossible. Dont waste your time with this place. Review: Seriously, the reviews say everything about this company. I have lived in a Richdale complex for almost 15 months (the only lease length we were aloud). And for about 6 months everything was fine. We had to have maintenance here quite a bit but figured it was because out apartment sat vacant for 3 years (per our neighbor) before we moved in. 6 months down the road we found out how rude our upstairs neighbors were and contacted our leasing office. The leasing has helped us every step of the way and we love them! The corporate office of Richdale not so much. They say they will get back to you the next day, this was back in February and its now may and we have yet to hear from anyone. You do everything they ask of you and still somehow do something wrong. You eitger pay month to month or get evicted, they gave us no other option like to end our lease or move apartments They blame you for everything. All around just a nasty place to live. The price is great, but the company its self is not worth the price.
Horrible company, they never repaired any of the damages from my apartment flooding, causing mold and stains on the carpet, now they expect me to pay 6k for what they never fixed. Shady company, a Facebook post was made and asked friends what they thought of richdale, I shared only a few of my horrors on that post. Richdale contacted me and demanded I remove my remarks saying they will sue for slander, do you really want to live in a place like that?
THE WORST management company and apartment I have ever lived in/with. From the day I moved in I had nothing but problems with the apartment, from my a/c breaking more than once, it flooding my bathroom and nearly falling out of the ceiling, to an unexplained infestation of bees and three weeks later, an unexplained amount of honey in the samePlace I found the bees. Not to mention that there is mold, and I cannot live in the apartment without physically reacting to being there. When I brought all of this up with the corporate office upon moving out to live somewhere I could PHYSICALLY STAND TO BE IN, the said there was nothing they could do for me because I hadnt mentioned it earlier. If you look at the long list of maintenance requests/repairs, you would think a competent management group would see that maybe there is a problem and try to fix it. These people are greedy, uncaring, and selfish, and I would not recommend my worst enemy live in any of their properties.
The saxony apartments were a great deal when i moved in last year. the continued to be great, so i have signed up for 1 more year! there have been a couple issues with slow maintenance, but had they been major things, im positive those guys would have come out quicker. overall, great place, great price for the location and a nice quiet place to live
Mrs. Kim in the corporate office is always so helpful. She gave me some resources that was very assisting!
Unprofessional doesnt begin to explain how terrible it was to work with Richdale Apartments. From day one, the office and corporate office were nothing but disorganized, lazy, and scheming. They try to bleed every last dollar from each of their tenants in exchange for sub-par living conditions, irresponsible building management, and ridiculous policies. Apartment maintenance is basically nonexistent and any fixes made are band aid solutions that quickly break back down. Forget about trying to change anything (changing cable package, getting a pet, changing renters insurance, etc.) during your lease. Both the corporate office and local leasing office will lose your paperwork multiple times, forcing you to resend it over and over. Theyll continue by claiming they never received your documentation and proceed to charge you fines, late fees, or tell you that you are in violation of your lease. Your only saving grace will be to thoroughly document everything you do with management - save copies of emails, write down names and dates when you speak to someone on the phone, have your insurance company keep records of when documents were sent and to whom they were sent to, save bank statements to show that you paid rent on time - so you may use it as proof when you have to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. If you have any option whatsoever, dont rent with Richdale. Youll save yourself major headaches and hundreds of dollars.
HORRIBLE APARTMENTS, THE STAFF HERE HAS TO BE THE RUDEST GROUP PEOPLE IN A CORPORATE OFFICE THAT I HAVE COME ACROSS. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY TO BE TREATED LIKE CATTLE AND NOT A HUMAN, STAY AWAY!!!!
My bathtub over flooded about a month ago. My apartment complex had a plumber come and fix it. But the bathroom was dirty and some of my personal items had been made unusable. I had to review them before they even asked if everything was okay. Then They sent out a maid to clean the bathroom which had been left filthy. Then my apartment said that Corporate would call about the items and it has been about a month and nothing. (Two weeks after I went to the leasing office and told them that Corporate had not called and they said they would look into it )
Ive never had any problems with any other apartment company, but Richdale is known nation wide for their gross incompetence. Every apartment locator I spoke with asked where I currently lived, when I mentioned it was a Richdale property, they said that they were very sorry I had to deal with that and that theyd find me a much better place, which they did within 6 hours. The laziness and downright stupidity of the corporate office is nothing less than embarassing. I move out in December and it cant come fast enough. I had previously written a review on this exact page and they either had it deleted or started a new page. Unbelieveable. Do NOT give them your business.
I just finished dealing with the corporate office of richdale to both renew my lease for another year while simultaneously transferring to a larger apartment in Lanesborough. I cannot say it was the smoothest process, but it was handled in a timely manner, fairly and I am pleased with the outcome. I did not have time to find a new apartment or even deal with the renewal and apartment change, so it was nice to have someone take care of everything for me, and for that I am grateful and look forward to one last year here.
Do not ever rent an apartment that these people are managing. They are the most unprofessional, rude people I have ever worked with, especially Christie in the billing department. I recently called about a billing question and Christie acted like I was absolutely ridiculous and cut me off several times. She ended the conversation by saying this conversation is over and hung up on me. That encounter is very similar to the other times I have worked with these people as well.Do not give these people any of your money.
Took money from me illegaly after I backed out of a lease before it started. 2 days later after I backed out the money was taken out... Then they lied to me several times on a date of when I would get my money back. Almost a month later and I still dont have it. But dont worry we credited it back to you. Ill believe it when I see it. I should have just called the police.
I wish there was an option for zero stars. I just viewed the most disrespectful and very unprofessional video of your employee at the Saxony in Texas cussing and having a 5th grade tantrum because a PAYING resident was upset over your offices poor handling of residents packages. I am very interested in how she will be reprimanded as her employment needs to be terminated IMMEDIATELY!!!
This is a ridiculously greedy company. My friend told me her rent was increased after only one year of living at Lionsgate. And now it has happened to me at Tanglewood. My current rent is $660 and its going up to $681 (cheapest rate I could get). My current fees are $31 and are going up to $35. Thats a total increase of $300 more per year (going from $8,292 to $8,592). And for what reason? Probably just so the company can pocket more money. Lincoln is not a particularly expensive place to live and compared to other similar apartments nearby, the rent is a bit excessive as is (especially for what you get & because on top of it they charge a $20 per month pet fee so Ill be paying a total of $8,832 for a standard 1 bedroom apartment). You think they would want to reward long term renters, but instead they punish them with increased rent and fees (for amenities like cable which sucks and you cant even opt out of it). I wouldnt mind so much if it were just for the amenities but the rent? Thats ridiculous! A lot of students live here and we cannot afford a jump like that - most of us only receive federal student loans or minimal part time work. And you cant negotiate your rent like you could with a landlord because whatever corporate says, goes, apparently! A $300 increase is not awful but not great either and moreover Im worried they will increase rent and fees *again* next year. I dont want to have to move out, but seriously this feels like a scam.
Its unfortunate I have to even give them one star. The company that owns my building is called Richdale Group they have 1.4 stars on google out of 76 reviews. I have never seen a company that low before. That should be a clear warning sign!!! Do your research before moving here. They have been building the property for about 5 or 6 years. The US bank stadium took 3 years.... wish i would have looked into it before moving here. Luxembourg Apartments in MinnesotaI have been living her for about 7 months now. Everything started off great with this place. We got a great deal for signing a 18 month lease. At first glance everything looked very well put together. However just after a few days of living here I started to notice things. Like horrible paint jobs around the house. Very low quality cabinets and drawers in the kitchen and bathrooms. Also both of our showers leak all over the place. I have called maintenance about these issues, and they do come very fast. They say the work is done and everything is fixed, but the showers just start leaking again right after they leave. Also all winter long one side of our apartment was ice cold ( my bed room and bathroom of course lol). I called the office and once again maintenance came quick and said they found no issues, but we will seal the windows again. This did nothing to fix the problem. Im almost positive there is little to no insulation in the walls. So i dont know who they employee for maintenance but they do not know what they are doing. This is among the more just annoying issues. However Jennifer in the office is either a liar or maybe was just mislead by upper management, because before signing any lease terms me and my roommate made sure to get clarification on what was the latest time frame for the pool and gym to be completed. Jennifer gave us conformation that early spring was the latest. Today is the first day of summer and they are no where near done with any amenities ( apparently the movie room is almost complete but that is honestly the last thing i want to be doing in the middle of summer). They are currently waiving a messily $42 a month fee. That they are trying to claim covers the amenities the facility will have. Which is clearly untrue. Also they are giving current residents the opportunity to pay the $42 a month and they will cover a lifetime membership to the location across the street for you. Now that might sound amazing, but this lifetime across the street must be the first location to ever open. It is extremely small. There is nothing but a few thing to workout with( you can either lift or run on a treadmill) there is no pool, no basketball court, literally nothing a normal lifetime has to offer. Long story short i regret everyday moving into this place and i just hope and pray that they finish building these things by next summer cause that is how long Im stuck here until. Please dont waste your time with this place. They will dangle a sweet move in special just to trap you with all the false promises. I strongly encourage you to find a very similar property for around the same price point that is higher quality and has the amenities already.
Very HORRIBLE customer service, absolute worst people skills and just know sense of respect, feels like im the twilight zone because not ONE person throughout the richdale corparation from corporate and office has shown a glimse of respect or common kindness when it comes to deaing with things. i have been nothinng but respectful and got shown absolute disrecpect and not one glimse of care for any issue matienance wise, rent wise, any issue wise. i would never wise ANYONE to be stuck in a lease like i am, so blessed and happy to know my lease is up soon!
