Worst service ive ever had told me them would call me with a date and time cause system was down after a week stil waiting id never use or reccenmd them to anyone
STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. TECHNICIANS ARE NOT TRAINED, AND THEY WILL LIE TO YOUR FACE TO SELL YOU A WARRANTY. Our dryer turned itself off due to it getting too hot. Called a Sears where we had purchased it to repair it. The technician arrived an hour over the time quoted. He did a diagnostic test on it, and said he had no idea what was wrong because everything checked out fine. He then said lets just change out the heating element because its probably ready to go out. He then told me about the Home Warranty System. I told him it wouldnt do me any good cause I have all GE Monogram appliances and Sears doesnt cover the Monogram line. He called and spoke with a guy from their sales dept who supposedly said they now do cover it. I asked to speak with the guy to confirm it, and he said he disconnected the call. I thought Id trust his word and sign up; so I did.The next day the dryer was still heating up too much so I called back in. They sent the same tech out. He told me he only fixed lawn mowers and snow blowers. He informed me Sears does NOT provide training on fixing appliances, basically they just ride around and shadow with another tech. He called another tech who told him to change out the thermostat, and the tech walked him through on the phone how to do it. I paid for the appt, parts, and warranty program. Today our cooktop exhaust started acting up, I called in to Sears Warranty Dept where I was transferred six times after giving them my name and phone number. I was then told, contrary to what the tech told us to sell a home warranty, they do NOT cover our GE Monogram appliances and even though we paid for everything, our warranty is not considered Active for another month. Id have to pay the full amount for a service call and parts. I was COMPLETELY LIED TO AND DECEIVED. We will definitely be canceling this and filing a complaint.
Stay FAR FAR away from this company. We attempted to use them to repair our Kenmore water softener, that stopped running and would not drain. We had to call them to come back out 3x. Each time they claimed to have fixed the issue and each time we were charged. The 3rd visit was to re-evaluate what the SAME tech had done the 1st 2 time, that didn’t work. We had turned the unit turned off because it would continue to fill with water and not drain. The tech turned it on and failed to turn it off when he left the storage room the 3rd time. The next morning we woke up to a flooded basement. Sears referred us to Sedgwick claim services to have the damage assessed and repaired - which we did. Had to call and follow up with the local office at least 10x- couldn’t get anyone to return our calls for our claim follow up. Finally they responded that our claim was denied- we had to prove it was a Sears product (it’s a Kenmore....) and that the original work order from the tech said that they were originally called out because it was leaking, which was not something we filled out or signed but was submitted by the tech. It wasn’t leaking it in fact wasn’t draining. The tech had a very strong accent and was difficult to understand. The 2nd time we called my husband apolitically told the scheduling person this and asked if there was another option because we really had a hard time understanding him. She insured us she would assign someone different, which she didn’t. The same tech came out for all 3 calls. I’m not sure if the tech knew we requested someone different and intentionally left the water on to the unit or if he truly didn’t know how to repair it. Between the poor service from Sears and the poor unprofessional scam service from Sedgwick. I’d avoid both.
Avoid Sears appliance repair at all costs. My fridge stopped working and my home warranty company AHS selected Sears as the contractor. It took them 4 days to arrive and diagnose that it needed a new part. The tech was unfriendly and would not provide me with any information other than they couldnt reschedule for another 10 days due to having to order the part which would take 5-7 days. I was able to get the part on my own within 3 days. Then on the day the tech was supposed to arrive (11 days after the first diagnosis by Sears) they did not show at all. There was no call, email, or text with an update that the part was backordered. Terrible customer service.
I called as they no longer have physical locations in my area. I found my part on their website. I called to verify no physical locations and the gentleman that helped me, ordered my part and it showed up on time. After looking at the diagrams on their site and watching a few YT videos, I replaced the part in about 30 minutes. Fixed the problem. No complaints.
Hi, I have to admit I forgot the name of our serviceman, but he was excellent. We had an 8-5 window, and he showed up at almost 8. He was extremely friendly and knowledgeable and found the issue immediately and had it fixed in no time. Thank you for hiring and sending such a magnificent person. Stu
I appreciate Sears making it so easy for me and coming out next day! Thank you so much! I have 3 teenagers and could not wait and didnt even have to ask to come right away! So appreciate the service! Technician was very helpful and nice. New what he was doing!
Vince from Sears did a great job of making our 5-year-old gas grill operate like new again. Very professional and courteous. I wholeheartedly recommend them!
Your most expensive repair option in town, even with a Coupon. Quoted service was $500, and a quick call to Andys had the full repair at $300 with the service call. Readily available part and a repair that takes less than an hour. Charging over $350 in labor is obscene.
I will first say that you should find a different company this company will waste your pto. If I could give negative stars I would. They came out to repair a washer were an hour late without any notification of the delay and not even a month later it still had the same problem. Called for a repairman to fix it again they gave us a ticket number to have if we had any questions about the appointment. They did not show up. Called again to reschedule. I waited another 5 hours with no one to show up. They said the repairman is in the city I live in but they do not know how long it will take for him to get here. This company is hopeless. AGAIN SAVE YOUR PTO AND USE A DIFFERENT COMPANY.Update----Repairman came to the house turned on the washer and said it doesnt look broken there is no oil leaking and left within 20 minutes. Ran washer same day and I smelled smoke in my house again. This time I recorded the washer dying with a load of laundry and not draining the water. Currently reporting to the Better Business Bureau for this month long terrible service and no help from Sears.
Our technician was prompt arriving for the appointment. He spent a lot of time on servicing the requested items, blade, oil, filter, plug etc. and made helpful suggestions regarding the continuing upkeep of the tractor. It was worth the money to have a professional service the equipment to prepare for the upcoming season.
After calling Sears and scheduling a window air conditioner cleaning and telling the woman that it is a heavy window unit and will have to be removed from the case and taken out to be cleaned they scheduled me for 3 weeks from then. When the repair man shows up he says there is no way he can take it out. I am disabled and I told him that I made it clear to the person that I scheduled with that it was heavy and has to be removed to be cleaned. He says he will have to re-schedule and come back with a helper. The soonest he can re-schedule is one month. I said if I help you carry it out to be cleaned will you do it. I shouldnt have but I could not wait another month. He takes 2 screws out of the bottom pan and pries the back coil out of the case and moves it back about 3 inches which flexes the copper tubing and will invariably cause a Freon leak. He says this is the easy way to do it. The other coil he just shot the water passed the fan blade and into the circular opening in the shroud.
Horrible Experience - Refrigerator RepairThis repair service on our refrigerator was among the worst I have had, which is par for the course with Sears. Our service appointment was supposed to May 31, but the service repair person showed up without the part needed for the repair. They refused to reschedule for the next day, so we had to wait until June 2. On June 2, the repairman arrived 2.5 hours late. The installation did not take too long, 20-30 minutes. He told us to wait 24 hrs for the refrigerator to cool to the proper temperature. We waited, but the newly installed part did not work. Our refrigerator did not get to an appropriate temperature. We called back on June 4 to schedule a new appointment. Again, they refused to get us an appointment for either of the next 2 days. Our next appointment is tomorrow June 7, where Im certain they will not be able to fix it once again.Ive talked to several Sears customer service representatives over the course of the last week. No one cared about our situation or saw any need to escalate their service response times. I felt this was unreasonable since they showed up to scheduled appointments without the necessary parts; were late to appointments; and didnt fix the problem when they did show up with the parts. Getting something fixed the next day is something they view as impossible. Were going on 2 weeks without a refrigerator because Sears does not care about how quickly they respond to you our how much of your time that they waste.I do not plan to ever purchase anything from Sears again.
Your service men are fabulous and get 5 stars. However, getting to them is next to impossible! It took five visits for everything that was wrong with my fridge to get fixed. After the 4th visit, I woke up to a pool of water on my kitchen floor (hardwood) and water rolling down the back of my fridge (not the fault of the repairman. He fixed one problem but it created another.) When I called your service center, they said that they couldnt get anyone there for at least another week. In the mean time, my hardwood floor was being flooded and ruined! You have no mechanism for emergencies, so, while your repairmen (Dan and Cosivi) are fabulous and get 5 stars, getting to them is nearly impossible. There are too many hoops to jump through in your service center. It is beyond frustrating! It isnt the fault of the people staffing the service center( they are very professional) but rather the policies that they have to abide by that make it so VERY frustrating for the customer.
The technician is courteous and thorough. He has worked on our 20+ year old Sears snowthrower for several years an always takes the time to make sure that it is running smoothly and efficiently! He is very knowledgeable and has found problems that we were not even aware of!
I noted my washer was leaking and called Sears to arrange for a repair person to come take a look. Prompt service of a gentleman who came at the appointed time, evaluated the problem and took care of it. Polite and professional. I was back to washing clothes in no time. I had a 20% coupon that save me a few dollars and I also had the hoses in back of the machine changed for maintenance, so I should be good for another 5 years for that chore. A++++
Did not repair my appliances.
Your service person diagnosed the problem quickly. He briefly explained the issue, which was a problem with the lower freezer door properly sealing. He turned off the refrigerator unit, pulled the freezer drawers from the refrigerator. He was making sure the drawers were fitting correctly. He then used a seal compound, silicon I believe, around where the main freezer door met the refrigerator. He made sure silicone was dry, reassembled the freezer parts removed and put the freezer drawer with door back into the refrigerator. It was a hard fix for one person but during the entire process your repairman was very professional and answered every silly question I asked with courteous answers. You have an awesome service person and I thank you for getting the problem solved. So far everything is working properly as near as I can tell. Thank you.
I paid for the technician to clean the inside of my washing machine as part of my appliance cleaning service and he did not do this. As a result, there are clothes that are getting deposits (dirt or mold or both?) on our clothes now.
The technician was courtesy and professional...very thorough in his options to correct my problem with the frig. Unfortunately, he couldnt fix the frozen water line even though he tried several things. We did get the line unfrozen for a few days, however, it froze up again! It is not the repair guys (this has happened a number of times)....it is the brand of refrigerate!
Great service, knowledgeable technician.
Technician was professional and knowledgeable but discovered the next day when I attempted to do a load of laundry he had not turned the water valves on so machine would not fill..Tequired me to get a step stool and get on top of Washer to reach water valves
Do NOT use this company!!!! They charged me for the service twice and the charge was not small. I have called the 800 number - not in the US - 5 days in a row about the issue. They continue to tell me they are researching and they will contact me but I have not heard from them.Mick B
I had a broken door latch on my dryer. The repairman came without the correct part. He put the broken part back in, which then broke again 10 minutes after he left. He ordered me the correct part and told me to fix it myself when it came and then charged me almost $200. I called immediately to complain and request a refund and cant get anyone to give me an answer about getting a refund. I will never use Sears repair services again.
Best customer service from everyone and the work corrected our problem Thanks to everyone who was involved. Repairman ordered parts to repair. The parts arrived on time and the repairman came back out and repaired our washing machine and made sure it was working properly before he left.
I was told I would pay 95.00 for an assessment if the work was not done. If the work was done the 95.00 would be waved and I would pay for the normal labor and parts. Instead, after the work was performed I was billed 95.00 for the assessment and 124.00 for labor. With tax, the labor was 234.33 for 1 hour of the techs time. I feel taken advantage of.
Not impressive at all. Tech was not very confident with his knowledge of my appliance. Didnt build trust for answers given.
We bought a maintenance agreement from Sears nearly 4 years ago and every time weve had the yearly check up of something fixed, the repair men are fantastic, polite and explain what they fixed.
The gentlemen you sent was very nice and did a great job, thankyou!! But it took Sears 2 weeks before they could come out. I had to take 5 loads of laundry to the laundry mat everyday in this freezing cold weather and it was not fun!! I have to rethink if I will renew my extended warenty.
I was extremely happy with Kossivi my second repair man..he quickly assessed the problem with the icemaker and installed a new one. He had little to say but most efficient. This repairman should be cloned..not many repair people like him.Phyllis Herbst
Excellent service from the Sears repairman. Gave me great tips on keeping the washer cleaner and fresher smelling.
Travis was punctual, knowledgeable, thorough and kind. He went above and beyond to ensure our refrigerator was working properly.
I was unable to be at home when the serviceman arrived. However, the problem was not solved and, to my knowledge, not thouroughly investigated at all. The repairman said the problem usually comes from the filter needing to be changed. I had changed the filter a couple weeks before so I doubt that was causing problems. I spent almost $200 for nothing. I am buying a new refrigerator because in the long run, it will be cheaper than trying to find the issue with this one.
It was very difficult to get to a human to schedule our yearly maintenance, but once I did the process was not difficult. I found the voice recognition answering process very frustrating!!!
Service provider was on time, professional & diagnosed the problem on our freezer very quickly. Great service & would use them again.
The technician was very professional. He was able to troubleshoot and fix the problem efficiently and in short order. I would recommend him without reservation.
Service Tech was fast and polite. Price could have been a little lower.
Technician diagnosed problem incorrectly. I adjusted the tension on the opener and it works fine.
The techs that Sears sent out were nice, however it has been almost 3 weeks since I have had a working dishwasher. My $900 Kenmore Elite dishwasher that I have had only for 1 year has a bad inlet value, interface, control board, latch and wiring harness. When my dishwasher was first diagnosed, they thought it was only the first 3 parts that were bad, had to wait 1 1/2 weeks for a part that it was backordered (then found - seems to me in addition to poor customer service, they are having trouble with a reliable ERP/inventory control system). Spent an entire vacation day on 8/14 trying to get this resolved only to discover that my dishwasher still wont work. Was given an 8 hour window to have the tech come back (which is unacceptable to me given that they called at 8:30am on 8/14 to cancel by service call that was scheduled for 8/14 from 8 -12), then the problem was re-diagnosed as a bad wiring harness and wait for it.....that part needed to be ordered as well. They wont have it in stock and ready for installation now until 8/29. Left 2 messages with Tony the Store Manager at Oak View and to date, has not returned my calls. No one at Sears seems to think that any of this is a problem, which is most likely the largest issue that Sears has. In short, the customer service has been horrible, there is no escalation process, the service times are now in 8 hour increments and in my experience, their Kenmore brand is not one that I will ever purchase again. We purchased this at Sears only because we wanted (or thought we wanted) this particular dishwasher. We literally have no reason to ever step foot in Sears again, normally we buy at the NE Furniture Mart for good reason. They stand behind their products and provide good customer service. My 6 year old Samsung refrigerator and GE stove and refrigerator have had 0 issues thus far and I have been very satisfied with our purchase. I actually did like the Kenmore as well before all of this and I know that it has a high rating (again, we did our research and this was a large factor in our decision to buy it). It cleaned/dried the dishes well and was very quiet, however this was only during the 11 3/4 months that it was operational.
The repair man was very good. Knew what the problem eas right away and was able to get the part quickly.
Our Service Repair guy was awesome never missed a step Thank You
The repair technician was excellent!!! I am completely satisfied.
Massiti and Travis were both wonderful, expert, and very kind. We want them each time we need our Amana refrigerator fixed. They know exactly what to do. After several visits to our house to fix the refrigerator, we finally got it right--thanks to them! If it hadnt been for their determination and expertise, wed still be with a broken refrigerator. Please give this information to them. We love them both. For Massiti, I did my vicarage (internship for a pastor in The Lutheran Church--Missouri Synod) in Strasbourg, France. Tell him (or let him read): Quest-ce que je taime et je prie pour toi et ta famille. Travis is a young father and tell him Im praying for him and his wife and children. Thank you again for sending such expert repairmen.
Things went great, repairman was in and out in an hour.
Knowledgable, personalble, did quick work. Would call again.
