I now understand being on this side how frustrating it is to try to get my Wednesday Savor ads. Been getting them for the last yr. A month ago it just stopped?? So I make a call to see why? or better yet just get it started again. Lady on the phone goes in & tells me they have no record of my ever getting it, really? Then she tells me to call back tomorrow which is Wednesday if I don’t get it to call back & file a “formal” complaint. So today BIG SUPRISE we don’t receive it, so I call to be transferred to another lady to be told I need to call back on Thursday or Friday because those are the only days they “deal” with formal complaints! OMGI asked if I can talk to a supervisor or manager for her to tell me well they’re gonna tell you the same thing I’m telling you there’s nothing we can do today.Thought came to me that they are receiving so many complaints that they save them for the end of the wk & only have there very best people handling these calls right?? The paper is dying because of calls like this! Keep your Savor & the paper subscription.

Crummy. Bad service. Bad journalism. Bad company. Most of the paper is a patchwork of other papers. Biased paper. The people who are actually employed to write for the paper write like junior high school students. I think they are required to write in elementary English so the people who do still read the paper don’t get confused by big words. They have the audacity to try to limit the stories one has access too online. Hilarious given that they can’t give away this rag let alone profit from it. Can’t see it lasting another decade.ETA. You can’t give the paper away so how on earth do you expect people to digitally subscribe? As for the “award winning” journalism, spare me. Rainbow Rowell’s novels don’t mean the crummy paper she used to write for is award winning. The World Herald is a pathetic racist rag that is poorly run and will close because it provides absolutely nothing of value to the city or the industry.ETA. This paper and the Omaha news media as a whole tries to continue cultural and class divisions to keep bigotry alive in this city and degrade the people of this city. It’s mind boggling that a city that claims to want to grow continues to allow this thoroughly sub par paper to debase this city and it’s residents.

Great company! I love getting the newspaper every morning and reading through and then being able to check the web and app throughout the day for updates. Incredible news source for Nebraska- not a luxury many states have!

Large regional newspaper now owned by Warren Buffets Berkshire Hathaway. Well see how being part of the Berkshire Media group affects their overall product. But so far it doesnt seem to have negative impact. They really do seem to have a well edited, informed style of writing and reporting. I do appreciate their work on revealing immoral/unethical issues in our area, e.g., Goodwills recent scandal which lead to the board of directors all stepping down. Keep it up.

The world herald is a good newspaper in terms of informing people of local issues, but I have two major qualms.1) I have a problem with the lack of ideological diversity in the Public Pulse letters to the editor. There seems to be plenty of far right and moderate comments, but nothing advocating a progressive point of view seems to get published, and trust me, I dont want that to be all that gets published, but the editors should try to make the public pulse reflective of Omaha as whole, which is an ideologically diverse city.2) The utter lack of seriousness with which this paper treats the climate crisis is unacceptable. Billions of lives are at risk globally and thousands of lives are at risk right here in Omaha. We humans are making our planet uninhabitable, and need to stop destroying it by reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 50% within the next eleven years, according to the UN IPCC. This is THE issue of the century and I seldom read anything about it in the World Herald. If this paper values facts and science, they have the responsibility, both journalistically and morally, to report the facts related to the climate crisis, even if they rightly make some stomachs turn and generate angst toward the political and economic status quo. This is not a political issue, this a life and death issue, that affects EVERYBODY, not just Republicans or Democrats. I ask this papers publisher and its readers to think about their children and grandchildren who will needlessly suffer if the climate crisis continues, and I implore this otherwise fine paper to put some real effort into reporting on this and opening up a dialogue about this issue. The possibility of facing our species extinction gives us two options, to remain fearful and ignorant and face the obliteration of human civilization, or to have the courage to unite and save our species while building a better world for the 21st century. Which side will the Omaha World-Herald be on?

If I would break it down, I would give four stars for the writing and articles and one star for their busines approach. Were discontinuing our subscription again. We were a Sunday subscriber. If we could have gotten online access with that, we wouldnt have left. Im tired of them yelling at me if I want to look at an occasional article online.I had a really unpleasant experience with them over 20 years ago that has colored my perception. Every so often I have met an OWH employee and told them what happened. They sort of shrug their shoulders and change the subject or walk away. I realized that just once I wanted one of them to say, Im sorry. They wouldnt have had to even mean it.

I am not happy with the OWH because I call now and I can’t seem to get anyone locally to speak with from customer service. Why are you putting our customer service in other states when this is a local paper. I am tired of having to call to have my food express or my Sunday paper delivered. I am ready to cancel my subscription all together. You have really gone down hill with the delivery of the paper to your local customers. I know this because I delivered for you for 6 years and when a complaint came in we were notified right away and if we did not fix the problem we were not able to deliver. I don’t feel you deserve the one star I had to give to write this.

I needed to place a name change ad once a week for 2 weeks and was quoted $170-180 depending on the length of my ad. I called Papillion Times and they quoted me $10-$20. HUGE difference for the same thing. Paid $9.24 for both ads and will use them again. Ridiculous of the OWH to overcharge that much!
