My daughter absolutely loves going to the Olympia Sylvan. We really wanted to give her self-confidence a boost after the hybrid and online learning over the last year and a half. The initial assessment they gave was spot on with her teachers comments and grades on her most recent report card. We enrolled our daughter at Sylvan after a tough year of pandemic homeschooling. She was behind, and learning at home had become such a struggle. My name is Stella and I’m 7 years old. I have been going to Sylvan Learning of Olympia for about 6 months. I like Sylvan because it teaches me phonics that they don’t teach at school. I like it more than school because the worksheets are simple and easy to understand. I also like how they treat me, the teachers are really friendly. I feel more confident at school now! (My mom says it’s expensive but worth it.)

My son has been attending for a few months now, and his confidence level in mathematics has increased tremendously. He likes his Sylvan teacher, the lessons are well-explained and he gets instant instructor feedback. It’s been a blessing during this pandemic!

Personalized teaching and attention.My son started attending in March 2017 and is currently enrolled. We have kept the routine over summers to keep momentum. We needed extra help in early reading skills and added math skills after reading improved. It has made a world of difference in helping my son build foundational learning skills. The small ratio of tutors to students is a key part for our family as our child does better in smaller group settings.Sylvan does their best to work through behavioral obstacles to learning. There are behavior expectations, but they also adjust to meet the child’s needs and personality.The students achievements are celebrated with incentives and certificates. The staff meets with parents to discuss progress and goals periodically.

Our kids love Sylvan learning center. They are very helpful with my daughters need for extra help in math and her reading. Sylvan is a very encouraging place for them and they are always excited on Sylvan days!!! We will continue to use Sylvan for our other kids when they are old enough

I went through a career change and needed to pass a state standardized test that included math, so I needed some tutoring. Sylvan was willing to work with me, an adult, and I have to say I wish my math teachers in primary school were as good as these teachers. Math was always a hard subject for me, but the Sylvan teachers were patient and they had more than one way to teach me, which I think was key. My learning style is not the same as others. I would use them again. I would also recommend them to anyone, young or older, who needed assistance. By the way, I passed my state test and on the first try.

Everything is as expected and more. We have found the staff to be very friendly, knowledgeable, and competent. They have also been very accommodating to our requests. My 10 year old and 7 year old love the store they have setup for the kids which allows them to get small rewards for doing a good job. We have found everything to be as advertised.

Sylvan of Olympia was one of the best decisions we ever made for our child! Not only does Sylvan help her to excel in school, but the positive, caring instructors, the Centers incentives program, and the individualized tutoring makes learning a VERY happy and successful experience. After a session at Sylvan, our child comes out glowing and excited! (It is a great experience for us as well, because of the progress reports, the personal meetings with the manager, and our ability to give input for her specific needs.) Her public school teachers tell her how fortunate she is to be able to attend.I recommend Sylvan to everyone! Some have followed up on my recommendation, and have told me how successful it was for their children as well.If your child could use additional help with school work, my advice is : DONT WAIT, BUT GIVE YOUR CHILDREN THE BEST GIFT YOU CAN GIVE - SIGN THEM UP TODAY!!!

My (soon-to-be) eighth grade son just started at Sylvan and just loves it! The best part he states that he is really learning to read and comprehend better in such a short amount of time. His reading confidence level has dramatically improved. Also, he enjoys the sessions and says they fly by and yes, fun. Way to go, Sylvan, for engaging a teenager!

Since our son has been attending Sylvan he shows great improvement with his reading and math. He gets excited about coming and that is a plus to me! The staff are very friendly and always willing to discuss any concerns you have as a parent. I can tell they truly care about your childs success.

Sylvan was recommended by my mother. I decided to take her advice and check them out. So glad I did. Those tutors are some of the most patient and understanding folks ever. Even when I wanted a written account of everthing my child was doing and sent home that day, they helped. The director is pure gold. She is willing to work with you to help you get the most out of their facility to help your child do their absolute best in school. Now mind you, its pricey but worth every penny if your child is finally understanding and excelling. Its summertime and my kids now cant wait to go and remind US when they have to go! Hows THAT for having fun and learning?! I cant recommend this place enough for after school tutoring. You will not regret it. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Wonderful ! Im a transplant from Mass. where I taught at private academies in Mass. and R.I. I had wonderful experiences but none compare to these 9 years at Sylvan. The administration is sensitive to children, teachers and parents equally. The environment is positive and inspiring.Definitely a 5 star experience for all involved.

After two sessions she loved going and now loves reading after one later still going strong,now two levels above class and doing challenges on her own choice. Its very helpful and you learn useful tricks that help a lot and you learn from teachers in almost a one on one sessions with a teacher and it helps you study and do homework .

One of the things I love most about being a tutor at Sylvan is the amazing teacher to student ratio...1:3 at most. It truly allows me to get to know students personally, which is a great foundation for teaching and learning.
