My go-to nail salon, theyre clean and consistent and theyve fixed more than one nail botch job for me when Ive been travelling and gone elsewhere. The nails in my photo are more than a week old, and I work as a hairstylist, so my hands definitely take a beating.

Went there today for pedicures…such rude staff…we asked for standard pedis… they did a terrible job on my husband and a rushed and sloppy job on mine. NEVER AGAIN!! Unique Nails, across tge street is so much better! What a waste!! AND there were flies everywhere! Yuck!

The salon is lovely and relaxing, and staff is very friendly. However, I got an acrylic full set that took 80 minutes and cost $65, and the final result was less than stellar. Doing acrylics well takes a certain skill set and not every nail technician has those skills. My nails were not the shape that I wanted, even though I showed a photo of what I wanted twice, the lengths of my nails did not match each other on each hand, and the woman actually made cuts into my fingers while filling. I appreciate that she tried, but I just dont think she had the skills necessary.

Very poor eyebrow waxing experience. My eye lids and brows are still very irritated and swollen; the end product was not my intended vision either

Friendly staff, extremely clean shop, and professional service. I typically get the spa pedicure and it always looks beautiful. Lately Ive been getting the gel manicures and pedicures which will run you about $30 for mani and about $60 for pedi. Theyve taken Corona virus very seriously, and have taken several precautions including taking temperatures, hand sanitizing stations, distancing, and putting partitions in between the pedicure chairs. Best place in town!

I love this nail place and I’ve visited my share of nail salon. Super pretty and Clean. I love my nail Tech Robert he doesn’t rush through my nails and is extremely patient. He always does a great job and I’ll be honest and admit I’m pretty picky about my nails :)

I wanted to try out a new nail salon and basically looked at the star review but not actual reviews with peoples experiences. I wish I did. This place is SO overpriced and everything is an extra $5 or $10. I just wanted an acrylic fill and walked out thinking how did I just spend $50? This isnt Newport people, its Old Saybrook calm down with your pricing. I have never seen more tip signs in a salon either. Free message is not really free..they bait you with a grand fishbowl filled with $10s and $5s (probably the owners money). For a place trying to go for class it lacks class. My nails are just the same as the salon I used previously. I gave it 2 stars because it is clean and airy and my technician was cordial and listened to my needs.

Ive been going here for so long now; I adore this place. The staff is so friendly, and need I say how gorgeous it is in here?? If I want some fun nail polish style, they do it!! Absolutely love going here whether its by myself or with friends. All their services are amazing. Dont forget the free massage while your nails dry!

Came here for my first time because I have a coworker who raves about this place and it has great reviews online. I called them ahead of time and made an appointment for a pedicure and gel manicure to be sure they could fit me in and I could get out in a timely manner. When I arrived, I sat for 10 minutes before being brought to a pedicure chair - fine, I know they are busy and didn’t think to much of it. However once brought back to the pedicure chairs, I sat for 45 MINUTES with the water on and not a single technician came back to check on me or anything. Ran out of time before the salon closed and didn’t end up getting my manicure either. Will not come back here.

Just got a mani/pedi. The workers were very polite and professional, plus you get a free 10 minute massage! 10/10 will return.

Despite the rave reviews, I did not have a good experience that I wanted to share. I recently moved to the area and wanted a pedicure, and the rave reviews persuaded me. I called and made an appointment for 11:30. I arrived on time, was seated at a foot spa -- and waited 25 minutes for the technician to come over! They were clearly overbooked and the fact that I had an appointment made no difference to them. I had a spa pedicure and the technician did ok -- it was not the worst Ive ever had, but it was not the best either. He then brought me over to the drying table. He asked to be paid, I handed him my credit card -- and he asked for his tip in cash! I didnt happen to have enough cash on hand for the tip and he was clearly miffed and pointed to a sign that asks for tips to be paid in cash. He clearly didnt care that Id waited 25 minutes for him in the first place. And then, as if that werent bad enough, they offer you a 10 minute free massage -- but you are expected to provide a separate tip for the person giving the massage as well! So as I was signing the credit card receipt, he told me that I was expected to provide a tip for the free massage as well. He then left me to go take care of someone else and nobody bothered to check to see when my nails were dry, to remove the toe separators or to put on any drying oil. I was pretty much just left to fend for myself once I had paid. The whole experience was just a huge money grab and it was a mediocre pedicure at best. I will not be returning.

Step above the expectations of good salon: meticulous, well designed place of comfort with lovely accommodating staff, kudos go to Michelle, Vicki, and Amber. They are knowledgeable and their aim is to please the client. The owner is on premise as well- runs it effortlessly all year round - even when the summer influx of visitors doubles population in town. . My go to salon from a very discriminating client.

I love this place. It is bright but soothing. Calm but not silent. The staff is fantastic and it is THE best post manicureassage you will ever have. I dont plan to ever go anywhere else.

My go to place. The staff is great - but one tech in particular Michelle is my favorite. I go in for manicure pedicure and Michelle does my brows. Every time they come out great. She is careful and meticulous.

Staff is friendly and attentive and the salon is clean and attractive. I usually just get pedicures, my favorite is the Villa Spa Pedi but I only get it done every couple months because its $60... If it was a little cheaper Id probably go more often! 😉

I had a mani/pedi done last Sunday. 6 hrs later, 2 nails chipped. I never bothered to look at my pedicure because my manicure DID come out great, but as I looked at my feet later that evening I realized she put two coats of red polish on ONE big toe & only one coat on all the rest of my toes! My feet were different colors. And I was leaving for vacation. Here I am a week later, on vacation, looking for a nail salon because most of my nail polish has worn off my nails....theyre chipped & look horrible. I liked the attention & time she took on my nails but the outcome wasnt so great for some reason? Wont be returning.

Beautiful salon, friendly staff, and most importantly, my nails last 2 weeks+! With the multiple choices in Old Saybrook, (and I think I’ve tried them all) this is the best place around :)

Good manicure but the color I wanted was not operable

This place is very popular and as a spa environment is really nice. I only give it three stars though because it is on the more expensive side for what you get. I deducted another star from 4 to 3 because even through the atmosphere is very luxurious the nail art aspect is lacking. I personally dont like one single color manicure. I like 🙊💅💁👀 instagram worthy nail art. I will say, the girl I saw did pull off a great snowy ombre and a sparkle ring finger with the powder gel polish, but originally I was showcased around the place to see who could do what I wanted and told they didnt have what I was looking for and they didnt do that there. I felt like I was being complicated for getting my usual. Basically I just had to say how close, how much, and who will get me to this nail art status. Then they could accommodate. It cost more than my usual 45 at 60$, but overall i left happy and with great snowy looking ombre just in time for new years.Recomendation to the salon better prices so the artists can get better tips and maybe continuing education for the artists that want to upgrade their skills. Thank you brave nail artist willing to take on a challenge!

I dont normally leave negative reviews but I had a really bad experience here. The man who did my nails was extremely rude and weirdly agressive. My left hand is crippled and this man kept slapping it to try to get it to relax when it literally does not move that way. His name is Eason if you want to avoid him. Hes lucky that I am a nice person and didnt cause a scene because he was really crossing the line.The only positive thing I can say is that the woman who intially took me over and removed my old polish was very nice and polite. I was really bummed when she got up to help someone else who walked in. I think her name was Miko.Due to this experience I wont be coming back here and I would suggest others try one of the many other salons in the area.
