My internal referred me to CPC as she knew they were taking new clients and many psychiatrist are not. I was in need of an urgent psych appt (and to transfer here to the shoreline) and after talking to them they said they could get me in within a week or so. I had submitted all my insurance/new pt info online, emailed Samantha back, called and have left 3 VMs in a couple weeks they will not call me back. I find this disheartening and very unprofessional. My dr is now going to try and call to see what is going on. They are in network and my OOP max is met so its not insurance/$$. I am not sure I would even go based off of how they are treating me now. Sad because not many psychiatrists are taking clients esp with the pandemic and this has been quite urgent since beg of July that I have had to taper off my own psych meds.

I went in to this optimistic. The therapist I was assigned to was in the old saybrook office. I made it clear that I was nervous. After the second visit she signed me up for a woman’s group weekly. I went to the first two and it was a men’s bashing club. Each woman would give their opinion on the other woman’s situation. It was very unprofessional and blunt in a harsh way. I left the third time going there feeling extremely uncomfortable. I went back and filled out a sheet to switch therapists. I followed up with 8 phone calls throughout about 4 weeks asking if I could switch therapists and again I was questioned why. I told them. I felt like I was being punished. I never did get a call back about setting up an appointment with a therapist. I also did not like that I could hear the sessions in the room next door because the walls are so thin and my therapist always asked me to speak up because she could not hear.

Ive received very respectful and helpful services ever since I began attending CPC in 2017. The therapists and staff have been quick to help with all issues/questions Ive had and I am 100% satisfied on every level.

Hopefully things will improve as does the outcome of the pandemic
