Literally the best car buying experience with Salesman Joe Wolfer. I spoke with Joe on the phone at 9am, told him what kind of car I was interested in and my price range. Joe immediately emailed me links of cars he thought I would like, a table of prices and terms for both purchase and lease as well as a credit application. I choose my car, came in the next day for a test drive, signEd my docs and I was on my way home in my brandnew car in less than an hour!! We needed a new car after our 2019 Missan Rogue Sport was totaled in an accident. We had such a good experience with the totaled car, we new we wanted another one. I have previously owned or leased 5 previous Nissans ( all from Grossman’s) so I knew they would treat me fairly as they always had. Cody found us a 2021 Nissan Rogue Sport despite the issues in the auto industry with dealers securing cars and the microchip shortages with manufacturing cars.

By far one of the best car shopping experiences ever. Everything from service, salesmanship to car was incredible. Shelby helped me over the phone and email and was able to answer all my questions and helped me pick the perfect vehicle for me. Cody did not come off as a salesman, more as a friend. Before I decided to go to the dealer I was helped by their team, who answered my barrage of questions. Then the salesperson did everything he could to help me choose the car I wanted, I ended up seeing three different models and driving two. He also explained thoroughly what each model offered and contacted me promptly whenever needed, including text messages. I’m very satisfied with the car I purchased, although the financing part always depends on details that are often hard to figure in advance and not always clear enough, but that’s my general experience with any dealer. After my first visit and no decision, the owner texted me to check if everything was as expected, which was a first for me, and apparently my explanation was heard and my request for more info on one of the cars was emailed to me. In summary, a level of attention unheard of in my past experiences buying a car.

I would have giving you 5 stars but my previous visit for repairs was very upsetting and requests were made that were unethical. I have bought 2 Rouges here and have sent over at least 6 people who bought cars from Grossman’s. Needless to say, with the new sales manager and service manager, things are much better. They are awesome. Cody is the best. I am very happy with my Rouge and hope the service I received today, continues. If it hadn’t been as good as it was, I would have gone to another Nissan dealership. Happy Grossman’s realized a staffing problem and fixed it.

Received an email asking me to consider a trade in as their inventory of used vehicles was down, and the Rogue I had purchased there in 2015 could be Upgraded. Went in, the salesman was quite nice, quoted me a comparable monthly car payment, and three days later called to tell me my loan was approved and to come in to pick up my new car. Had an appointment for 5pm. Got there early and reviewed safety features with the salesman. Financial manager was a half hour late and walked over to salesmans desk, never introduced himself, and never offered an apology or explanation as to why he was late. Sat down in his office, he never even made eye contact, and quoted a monthly payment that was almost $200 higher than what I was told on Saturday by the salesman! He copped an attitude with the pathetic excuse of privacy laws, however common courtesy would have dictated that, when the salesman let me know my loan was approved, he might have afforded me the consideration of informing me the terms he had told me on Saturday were not, in fact, real. No invasion of privacy in that, not one bit. Grossman solicited ME with an email, literally asked for my business. Our family has purchased 2 vehicles from them in the past 4 years. I feel as though I dealt with a snake oil salesman who certainly turned on the charm to get me to buy another car from them, and the finance manager was nothing short of downright rude. My time is inordinately valuable, and Grossman Nissan wasted an awful lot of it. I will NEVER step foot in that dealership again, nor will my husband.

Grossman’s is an A M A Z I N G dealership!On a recent trip to CT, we lost one of our smart key remotes for our 2013 Nissan Altima. We wanted to get it replaced before returning to Texas and Grossman Nissan was close to us and had good reviews.I called Grossman’s Nissan and was connected with the Sales Manager, Bob Russo. He understood our compressed timetable and expedited an appointment through the service department for us. They had to order a remote for us and got it the next day! All things considered with COVID-19, I had a smooth experience. Cody, our salesperson, was great and not overbearing!

I was able to arrange service on a Saturday morning, and all required services were done while I waited (including a brake fluid exchange that I had not remembered being due but was reminded about when I checked in). I appreciate the convenience that the service department offers.

In the late fall of 2018, I had to make the tough decision of giving up the truck I had inherited from my fathers passing, one of the last things I had to remember him by, in favor of getting a more family-oriented vehicle for the addition of my newborn daughter. I was told over the email that Grossman Nissan can take care of all MA registration. I walked into dealership being assured I would be able to drive home in the car, but instead I had to go back home empty handed and had the vehicle delivered the next day. They did not get the vehicle inspected, which is a requirement in MA, so I had to pay the $35 fee to inspect the vehicle myself.The vehicle had a paint chip above the door which I notified, then was masked with a paint brush, but the chip is still noticeable.After all this, its hard to recommend the dealer as the experience was not very pleasant.However, the initial salesperson, Brian was very nice and understanding.

Had a great experience at Grossman Nissan looking for what I didnt realize I was looking for. Cody told me a lot about the Nissan Leaf which was a great car to check out but when I realized I wasnt quite ready for an all electric (maybe next time thanks to lots of great information from Cody), we next checked out the new Nissan Kicks!! A perfect fit & thanks to Codys help, I was able to land the just-right Monarch Orange Kicks complete with an excellent Bose sound system!! While buying the vehicle went nicely after 80 miles of owning the vehicle the check engine light came on with codes PO420 and PO430 which are emissions codes for catalytic converter. Went to the dealership they scanned the vehicle and cleared the codes. Then the next 100 miles check engine light again for PO430 bring it back to the dealership and they explained that due to the age of the vehicle the estimated $1200 in parts to fix the issue on my 2 week old $14,000 purchase is not their issue. Which in my opinion is just horrible customer service and removes all my trust I dealing with Grossman as a whole.

My wife and I came here to test drive a nissan rogue, which turned out to be a wonderful car to drive. Cody Baumgartner went above and beyond to help us. Ive had a handful of experiences in purchasing cars, but this was my first time working with Old Saybrooks Grossman Nissan. During this unprecedented time of dealing with COVID-19, it was horrible timing for a car to break down. In desperate need of a new, used car, I started searching used cars near my hometown. When I found a car I was interested in, I immediately got a call back from this dealership. I took my chances and visited this location to weigh out my options. I was greeted by my salesman, Brandon, who had the most welcoming and humorous personality. I instantly got the sense of that at-home feeling. Brandon was not a pushy salesman, and that is something that I appreciate. He was professional, yet understanding and compassionate of my needs and the situation at hand. Ultimately, Brandon is the reason why I went through with this purchase - he has exceeded my expectations of purchasing cars, and my perception of how a salesman should be. It only took two days for my process to complete - day 1 was test driving and talking numbers. Day 2 was finalizing and paperwork - it was the smoothest experience Ive ever had. The dealership took care of the registration, and they even called my car insurance and got the new car on my policy for me. While completing paperwork, I had the pleasure of working with Ariel - whose personality mirrored that of the entire dealership: warm, welcoming and compassionate. I purchased a 2015 Frontier from a different dealership and ended up taking it to Grossman a few times for basic service. Everything was fine other than the extremely long waits. It happens, whatever. The last time, I had them put on four new tires. Once I hit the highway on the ride home, the vibration and bouncing was unbelievable. My ride was short, so once I arrived at my house I decided to see if I could figure out what was going on. I thought to myself, They couldnt have screwed up the most BASIC concept of installing new tires, could they? Sure enough, I checked the pressure in all four tires and found that they were completely different. The lowest tire was at about 20psi and the highest was at 60 (SIXTY) PSI!! Come on, seriously? Once I set the pressure to the proper 33psi, everything was fine, but I just cant understand how something so essential could be overlooked. How was one of these tires so over inflated in the first place?

This is an excellent dealership. Honest, decent and thoughtful for buyers,. yet I dont feel being pushed at all during the whole purchasing period. Cody was the front man who showed us the vehicle we eventually bought. We have been through several places, as you guys know, most dealerships have additional fees, price in this place is both transparent and great. Also, pay attention to your APR if you choose to go financing option. They have the best rate to offer and I was offered a rate better than my own banks. Highly recommended

Very poor communication and coordination of registration and car insurance transfer. Calls concerning owners manual and spare key fob that were to be mailed the day following the purchase not returned now that over two weeks have gone by. I understand the salesman is young and new at his job, but someone should be shadowing him until he can do his job properly. Also, there is no excuse for not returning phone calls.

I went to a few other dealerships to look at cars and the experience that I received at Grossman Nissan was by far the BEST. I would highly recommend them to everyone. My brother and my sister-in-law came with me and they also loved the experience that I received that when they decide to purchase another vehicle they are going to go there. Rich was so nice to go in on his day off to help me with the purchase of my vehicle.

I usually dont write reviews, unless Im mad about something!! But this review is a happy one. Let me start out by saying, I have had many bad car buying experiences in the past so I searched the internet high and low for a place with good reviews. That led me to Grossman. I went in super skeptical, but let me tell you they were great! I dealt specifically with Brian, he was nothing but kind and patient with me, to the point that I was sure to take down his name (I even debated calling to let them know how good he treated me!). I never felt pressured, I felt like he was being honest (and helpful because he wanted to be helpful not because he wanted to sell me something). After those bad experiences at other places, I was ready to never buy another car. But thankfully I found Grossman and Brian!!Brian, if youre reading this: thank you again for all your help and advice. You know I will be back (and Ill defintely be less apprehensive about car buying because of you)

I purchased my car from here five years ago, the whole car buying experience was so pleasant that when it came time for my husband to buy a new car the choice of dealership was easy. The staff is pleasant and knowledgeable, not overbearing in the least bit. I will continue to recommend this to all who are seeking product and service from people who stand behind their product.
