This is honestly one of the best bike shops I have been to. With the bike industry boom going on right now it is hard to get quality service and the parts I need in a timely fashion. I spoke with Dave (the store manager) over the phone prior to coming in and he ensured me that my bike would be up and running in time for a vacation I had coming up. My expectations were blown away. Dave and his crew really took great care of me and I cannot thank him and the shop enough. Thank you!

I love mom and pop sports shops. I stopped in here just to buy some snowboard wax and I end up staying for about an hour and trying on some snowboard boots. Nick a sales reo) was extremely helpful it was so nice to talk to someone whos a snowboarder like myself. At first I started talking to him about the new kind of equipment and then I found myself trying on a pair of boots and I was just so impressed how he was able to spend the entire time that I was in the store with me and not even get distracted nor did his boss come over. long story short if you want personalized customer customer service then this is your shop. The prices are very reasonable and before I spend money at a big-box store I will support a small business any day all day. This is a well-established Sport Shop and they have been there for over 30 years. Stop in and im sure you will not be disappointed.

Action Sports in Old Saybrook is our top spot to get us ready to ski. The staff is always very helpful and professional, and the make it really easy to get everyone in our family squared away. And though we have a range of needs and abilities, AS of OS is able to serve all of us. We go several times each season, and always leave happy and excited for our trip.

Its an okay place to buy sports gear. Not much here but they do have a little bit of everything.

Dont buy ski equipment here, there are better places. They know nothing about ski equipment or boots, and didnt provide any guidance when we went to buy. They suggested my dad get skis that were way too long for him. They also didnt suggest adding inserts to boots, which I understand is pretty standard at most places. I really wish my family of five didnt buy skis and boots from these guys, because a lot of it is ill-fitting or performs poorly, an issue that could be fixed if the sales staff had more insight. At the time, we were new to the Shoreline and didnt know any better. Now weve tried a bunch of places and go to Alpine Ski Haus for boot fitting etc.

The Old Saybrook store is wonderful. Purchased paddleboard, bicycles and paddle for paddleboard.

Brought in three kids for seasonal rentals. Shelby had us properly fitted, paperwork processed, and out the door in 30 minutes. Great experience.

I drove two hours round trip to get seasonal ski rentals based on the website, but was told that they do not have seasonal rentals at the moment.

Good selection of ski/snowboard equipment and winter gear! With how knowledgeable they were regarding the winter sports, I would imagine they are the same with the bicycles etc

Took my skis in for a tune up and I was in and out in about 5 minutes. It was much cheaper than I thought and they were very helpful.

I walked in and no one said hi or how may I help you. I looked through the small bike tire selection and couldnt find my tire. The store representative never said a word to me the whole time, even as I was walking out the door. On another occasion, I called to inquire about getting my bike serviced and the woman flat out laughed at me over the phone. She said everyone wants their bike tweaked this time of year and we dont have the capacity to handle everyone.

We had bought a Talon 29 in orange and everything loose, the seat came undone mid-ride on the sidewalk as well the chain damage to the frame, nevertheless, I will be going to refund.
