We moved to Kansas this Spring and needed a new vet. Arbor Creek came highly recommended and I can see why! The facility is clean and welcoming. We have been here three times and each visit with Dr. Smith is very thorough and not rushed at all. They truly care about the health and well being of your pet and getting to the root of the issue. I would definitely recommend them!

Our dog sees Taylor on a weekly basis because hes double coated and mats quickly. She is not only great at what she does, but super nice and always keeping us updated on things. She even mentioned noticing a small growth changing in size nd I believe thats because she treats our dog just like her own. We really appreciate knowing that hes always in great hands there!

Our last visit we saw Dr Smith. She was so compassionate and kind. She talked to our pet as though he was her own. She took the time to answer all of my questions.

Took my new puppy in for his first visit after getting him from a local rescue and was blown away by the attentiveness of every single employee, not just the ones directly involved in the completion of my appointment. My little pup was made to feel safe and comfortable the entire time and they were happy to answer all my questions as a first time puppy rescuer. The vet even took her time to show me the best way to trim his sharp little puppy nails. I grew up with dogs, but never had to be involved in all the details before now! Dr Smith and Dr Tarrant have been taking care of our doxie Sadie since she was a puppy 11years ago. We have found them to be very caring and concerned with her health. John, one of the techs, is the best with Sadie and she is so happy to see him. Dr Smith and John helped save Sadie’s life when we discovered that along with back problems she had life threatening allergies. We can’t thank them enough.

Our cats have been patients at Arbor Creek for years now. This summer one of our cats became very sick and we began seeing Dr. Mayerske for hospice care as we knew the end was near. Dr. Mayerske was compassionate and empathetic while we made tough choices for our cat. We saw him every 2 weeks for 3 months until we had to put our cat down. Dr. Mayerske, Holly, and the front staff were just outstanding on that tough day (and patient with our two young children). Cant recommend them enough!! Bonus- the fish tank and tree frogs in the waiting area are super cool!

I have been going to Arbor Creek Animal Hospital since 2011. The staff members are always courteous and professional. Both Doctors Tarrant and Smith take time to listen to us and always open for suggestions and never push for treatments that we are not comfortable with. We had to say goodbye to our cat, Carmel and I was thankful that Dr. Tarrant made the suggestion to let her go by making our decision easier. Lately we came to see Dr. Smith for our cat, Envy and we were very happy with Dr. Smiths diagnosis and treatment suggestions. She is doing great! I have been taking my dog Max to this vet for almost 5 years and we love them, especially their grooming services. Casey and the team are the best! Max is not an easy dog to handle and this is by far his favorite place to go. The transformation every time he goes is amazing. He has aa very strict diet and he has never been sick with anything. He has even stayed there in the past when we have had to travel to FL and he LOVES it. I rarely write reviews but dont have enough words to say how loving, caring, and wonderful they are. We came to Arbor Creek years ago after being told we would have to euthanize our mini Poodle Jack when he was eleven. Dr. Mike and Dr. Pam started him on a regimen that improved his quality of life and extended his life two more years. We were so grateful to have Jack feel better and playful for those added years. This past year we adopted a new mini Poodle at the onset of the pandemic. The first day we had her home we were welcomed back to Arbor Creek and KaCey was seen by Dr. Mike for her first well puppy checkup. After her checkup we talked to the grooming staff to get her on a regular grooming schedule and they took her in for a quick trim. Everyone at Arbor Creek is so attentive to KaCey’s needs and she loves seeing Aaron and Casey and the entire grooming staff every month. Dr. Mike is such a calming influence on her and we appreciate everything he does for our little girl. A big thanks to the entire staff for being there for our family!

Our vet was booked but recommended calling around - Arbor Creek Animal Hospital was my first call for a opening. So grateful they were able to see Buddi our 11 yr old mini- dachshund that hurt his back from running down a flight of stairs. The yelps were heart breaking and to see him move so slow was enough! Dr. Mayerske took the time to evaluate him and prescribed a treatment with much attention to present pain/discomfort. Incredibly thorough and thoughtful! The staff was great from checking in to checking out. You can actually see their instant love for their patients. Highly recommend this practice!

Ive been going to Arbor Creek Animal Hospital for almost 9 years. Dr. Smith was especially kind recently when my kitten got very sick. She fit him in her schedule even though it was a surgery day. She really went the extra mile for him, but the viral infection he had was too much. She took time from her lunch hour so we could put him to sleep so he would not suffer more (it was a Friday). They have been very good to all our cats that we have had, even the difficult rescue cat who is a total brat. Dr. Tarrant has also been excellent. They really care about their clients!

Waylon had his first visit with Dr. Tarrant a week ago. Not only were we impressed by the cleanliness of the space, but how friendly and professional everyone was from the front desk to the doc himself. Dr. Tarrant answered all of our questions, no matter how ridiculous they may have been as first time Dane owners. His knowledge for the breed is impeccable and it’s no wonder so many people love going to him. On top of all of that his calm demeanor throughout the exam had our puppy more relaxed at a place where that can be the last thing they are. Can’t wait to continue our care with Arbor Creek!

Dr. Smith made sure that our new family member, Oscar, had a great experience at the vet. She fed him treats while giving him his vaccines and he didnt even notice the shot. Weve been here twice now and have appreciated the amount of time she spends with us to answer our questions and concerns.

I took my Schnauzer puppy, Johnny Cash, in for grooming and was very impressed with the care and their process of getting him used to the grooming so he wouldn’t be afraid. Aaron did an excellent job and I definitely will continue to use Arbor Creek for Johnny’s grooming. The staff is very friendly and made me feel like he was in good hands.

We loved everything about Arbor Creek. We fell heir to a darling pair of cats, brothers, and while they are 9 years old we were not sure of their medical history. I cant tell you just how wonderful everyone was at Arbor Creek from the front desk, to the tech, to the vet. Bo and Target were on their best behavior thanks to the wonderful bedside manor they were given. I cant recommend Arbor Creek and more highly than to say Bo and Target give it eight paws up.

When we first began fostering our dog for Always & Furever, he was extremely matted and neglected when he came into their care. Arbor Creek worked hard to try to save his coat but ended up having to shave him. Despite it taking a long time, they were great with him and he left feeling so much better! We took him back for a nail trim and they did great again! Were very appreciative of them taking good care of our boy! :)

The staff at Arbor Creek made our first vet experience with our newly adopted furry family member a great one. Everyone was professional and friendly to us, and gentle, patient and compassionate with our pup, who is still working through some anxiety problems. They made what could have been a very stressful, exhausting visit into a wonderful learning experience, even when they had to deal with a tragic emergency in the middle of our time with the veterinarian.We have already returned for some grooming services, and we plan to keep going back to Arbor Creek Animal Hospital for all our pups medical and grooming needs. All of the staff, from the receptionists to the technicians to the vet to the groomers were consummate professionals and showed genuine care and compassion for the animals in their care.Side note: all the staff were very mindful of and respectful about precautions regarding reducing the spread of COVID-19, which we very much appreciated.

I found Dr. Pam Smith at Arbor Creek when I was searching for acupuncture treatment for our foster dog - who we have now adopted. She has partial paralysis and thanks to Dr. Smith she is now walking, running and enjoying life and a happy healthy dog. She will require maintenance treatments, however, its all worth it to see her being a dog again instead of dragging her hind legs behind her. The staff is also amazing - very friendly and professional!!

I switched to Arbor Creek Animal Hospital after moving to the area. Making an appointment was super easy and the appointment itself was great. My 5 year old cat needed some dental work for her stomatitis and Dr. Smith thoroughly explained the issue and how they’d go about solving it. I love that they do bloodwork before procedures to ensure the cat is healthy enough for anesthesia. Everyone there is incredibly kind. Lucky to have such a great place nearby!

Had recently adopted a kitten and took him to Arbor Creek for an initial check up. Service was prompt, professional, and very friendly (and pretty reasonable in total cost for the various initial shots, microchip, and checkup.I had been a previous client about 8-10 years earlier when i lived in the area. At the time i had two dogs and the Arbor Creek staff handled all kinds of different routine care issues over a couple of years (and one surgical issue when one of the dogs was nearly successful in chewing off his own tail).Really good office staff and I would recommend for anyone in South Olathe and surrounding area looking for a great veterinary team.

I just moved to Olathe and was looking for a vet for my rabbits. The vets at Arbor Creek were able to get me in in a reasonable amount of time and were very professional and kind. They listened to everything I said and took that into account on their diagnosis. They didnt pressure me to do unnecessary tests and prescribed medicines that day. Very happy with my experience!

We have been going to Arbor Creek Animal Hospital for years with multiple fur babies in all stages of their lives. Everyone has always been wonderful to work with in all areas. I appreciate the Eastern and Western medical approaches especially when dealing with a non-conventional situation or rare diagnosis. Casey our groomer with Arbor Creek Animal Hospital is the absolute best! We have known her for several years and have so much trust and faith in her each time we leave our pups with her for grooming. Our dogs are rescues and come with their anxieties and are not always the best behaved. Casey shows them nothing but love and patience, offers advice to help eases their stresses and they always come out at the end of their groom wagging their tails looking amazing and perfect! I would never consider another groomer than Casey, she definitely has a special gift in what she does!!

So grateful for Arbor Creek Animal Hospital! My cat ingested dangerous objects and required immediate surgery. Despite having no appointment, they were able to get him in right away for an exam and tests and Dr. Tarrant stayed late that evening to perform the surgery. He received excellent care during his 4 day stay there, and is recovering beautifully! All the techs and staff are warm and friendly and were great about communicating updates. Highly recommend!

Needed a vet closer to home so after reading a bunch of reviews selected Arbor Creek. When making the appointment the receptionist gave me instructions on what they would need from me and was incredibly helpful. The day of the appointment the entire staff went above and beyond caring for my dog Chip as if he were part of their family. We definitely found the right place to care for my best friend.

Covid, Deaf and 3 sick dogs with parasites. ACAH was very responsive and worked with me. I know its hard and masks make it almost impossible for the deaf. I do anything for my dogs to make it work. They embraced my disability and my dogs as if no big deal. They were open to my thoughts (our strategy worked!!!!). Beyond relieved - thrilled and grateful. TY!!!

I went here on advice of a pharmacist friend and I’ve never been happier. Staff is the perfect combination of friendly and efficient. Dr. Tarrant treats my rottie rescue as an individual patient with exams focused by relevant QnA. I appreciate a holistic approach when it comes to my MurphyBear; as well, someone who’ll give their honest opinion with pros/cons. Honesty and transparency are so helpful with crafting individualized treatment plans. I wholeheartedly recommend this practice without hesitation.

Overall we really like this vet. Their office visit fee is higher than other area vets and they charge every visit. Most local vets only charge once a year unless it is a sick visit. I spent $100 more than planned in unexpected costs because they do not inform people ahead of time. We will continue to use them because they are great with the dogs, but I will ask for estimates in advance for everything and will do annual shots with the city.

Dr. Pam Smith recently started caring for our new fur baby, Daisy. We brought her in for an exam and Dr. Smith was very caring, gentle and thorough. She took the time to discuss Daisy’s conditions in detail and how best to take care of her, and made several recommendations for things to do to keep her as healthy as possible. We are so appreciative of Dr. Smith and Dr. Tarrant and the staff at Arbor Creek for their excellent care of Daisy. We will always use Arbor Creek for all of our pets.

The staff was very nice, and helpful. Even in these hard times with this pandemic the staff had a plan and came out to get our gecko from the car. I also noticed them running in and out returning animals to their owners. This is obviously a well ran facility.

I absolutely love Arbor Creek Animal hospital. My dog Ruby goes here for her vet and grooming services. The team is always amazing. Dr. Tarrant spent a good amount of time with us and answered all my questions, made great suggestions and made Ruby comfortable the whole time. For grooming she always looks amazing and enjoys coming. I recently misunderstood the maintenance plan for grooming and when they realized I had, the team called me directly following me leaving. Dr. Smith was very helpful with evaluating Onyxs health and especially performing the necessary tests to determine where her growth plates were in their development to provide advise on how to move forward with her agility training. This was very helpful guidance so that I can ensure Onyxs soundness for a long career in agility. A couple more months to ensure their closure and Onyx can start learning the weave poles and get started competing!! Yea!!

The doctors & staff here are the best! They truly care about my dogs & always take the time to explain things to me thoroughly. They have always been patient with my German Shepherds who are a handful. I trust my dog is always in good care with them. They don’t practice one size fits all. Dr. Tarrant and his staff have taken great care of all of our fur-babies since he opened Arbor Creek Animal Hospital. Recently one of our babies had an allergic reaction to dog food we had changed her to. Dr. Tarrant was able to treat her and talk with us about any changes in the past few weeks when we realized we had changed flavors of food. He loves our girls like they were his own, and he treats them with love and compassion. The staff is always kind and caring as well. Now our sweet baby is back to normal.

I was unable to attend the appointment due to work and my son took our dog to the visit. They were great and called me on the phone and took the time to explain everything thoroughly. Dealing with a skin issues for a couple years treatment seems to be working! I have been to two other vets and they didnt take the time to address the issue. They taught my son how to give meds easier as my dog spits out every pill I have given him. Great team

We use the grooming service at Arbor Creek, and Casey is fantastic! She goes above and beyond to do what we ask, and we have doodles, which makes grooming a challenge. As long as Casey is at Arbor Creek, we won’t ever leave.

The reception staff has always been pleasant and friendly but the rest of the staff there has either been extremely rude or not helpful during EVERY experience we have had with our pet. We gave this place a few extra chances because it is so conveniently located for us, but will never make that mistake again and bring either of our animals here for services. Hopefully the staff, including the doctors will work on bettering their customer service skills.

I am a first time puppy owner and I have started going to Arbor Creek Animal Hospital for check-ups. They are so informative and friendly. Even if you have no question you will learn something and no question is a bad question, which I love. Remind you I had my visit with a 9 week old puppy, 4 year old (human :)), and 2 year old (human :)). I did not feel rushed even with my two small children with me on our puppy check-up. I left happy and informed on how to make sure everyone stays happy and healthy.

Dr. Tarrant and his staff were excellent with our Yorkshire Terrier. He took the time to get to know us and educate us on the next step of growth for our puppy. He gave diet advice and also has the best dog food at his practice. The grooming was perfect and done in a timely manner. We are definitely bringing Finn back for his medical and grooming care! We use Arbor Creek Animal Hospital for veterinary services and for boarding our dog. The staff is always friendly, and they take very good care of our dog. The pricing is exactly what I would expect except for bathing seems really expensive. Overall a great place for boarding and veterinary care!

Dr. Smith has been wonderful for us and our pets. She helped us manage Sashas heart disease, and eventually walked us through a tough time as we had to have her euthanized. She was caring and went out of her way to take care of Sasha and helpvus through it. Since then, we have gotten a new puppy and will only take him to see Dr. Smith. Also, in regard to prescription pricing, they utilize an online service that you can get medicine for a better price than in-office.

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. The staff is disrespectful and they don’t address your concerns, or take your concerns seriously. I went in to see two DIFFERENT doctors here with a concern about my chihuahua and BOTH of the doctors told me I was making his symptoms up and that my dog was perfectly fine. I went to a different vet with the same exact problem and the same exact symptoms to get a third opinion. Found out that my dog is COMPLETELY blind and has been for awhile, and there is something neurologically wrong with him as well. NEITHER of the vets at Arbor Creek even took a second glance at my pet to make sure he was really okay. This was a horrific experience to go through, especially when my dog was sick all along. Never ever going back to this vet again, and you shouldn’t either.

Have been seen by Dr Michael Tarrant at Arbor Creek Animal Hospital for nearly three years. As someone who has owned and bred both dogs and horses for fifty years, I can truthfully say this is some of the highest quality veterinary care I have encountered. Dr Tarrant is especially talented in treating and managing seriously ill animals; and can offer alternative treatments as well. I have also had occasion to board dogs at Arbor Creek and was very pleased with the care provided. I was able to call in daily and get detailed reports on how my dogs were doing. I highly recommend Dr Tarrant and the staff at Arbor Creek.

Charged us for a bunch of unnecessary and unauthorized tests to the tune of 400 dollars at the end of our dogs life. Held our cremated dog hostage until they received their money. Complete turnover and horrible customer service. We spent a LOT of money in the 10 years we had been going there ... probably 15 grand easily. They wont get another dime of our money and we will tell everyone we know not to go there. BEWARE ... there are many other BETTER options in this town for vet care.

We are so glad we brought our old cat in for a consult. She got a thorough exam and dx procedures to narrow down the cause of her problem beyond just old age. Now we know what to do to help her. We also love that Dr Tarrant takes a holistic approach and is good with homeopathic alternatives to Rx. Great vet practice.

Dr. Tarrant had been an exceptional vet for our entire rehoming center/pet store for many years, so we started driving from Lawrence to bring our personal pets to Arbor Creek, too. Weve had too many meaningful experiences to count. Everything from hamsters to lizards to cats and dogs, baby animals to end of life care -- the Arbor Creek staff is caring, non-judgemental, and always ready to help. Their facility is state of the art, all the way from the latest technology to the fire suppression system. As expensive as this facility must be to operate, somehow they keep their prices fair. 30 years in the pet industry and Arbor Creek is by far the best vet care weve ever experienced.

Our dog had just recently passed and we took him to Arbor Creek animal hospital and they couldnt have been any more sympathetic for our loss. They sent us a beautiful card which was signed by all of the staff and his paw print!We really appreciated that-Thank you!

I couldnt have asked for a better place to help my cat. She had a big whole from an abscess and they worked her right it! Even though my cat had never been there. I cant thank them enough!!

Unbelievable care. We are lifetime customers! Arbor Creek is unlike any vet we have ever been to. Both Mike and Natasha care so much for our animals, and provide not only the best care for them, but offer alternatives such as acupuncture, herbal remedies, in addition to regular shots, surgery etc. They are absolutely fabulous! Price is lower than others we have been to, and facility is top notch! I wouldnt take ANY animal anywhere else.BTW-To the Google User who gave them a bad review because it took some time to diagnose, you are INCORRECT in saying they offer discounts for 5-star reviews They simply ask for a review.

Took my dog there, he was itching badly with open sores. The lady performed a very superficial examination. She said nothing was wrong with him but sold us some meds. His condition didnt improve, so we called back and we were told to come by to pick up something else, we werent told it will be in addition to the meds we paid when the examination took place. Anyway, the condition persists. Looking for another place now...

Saved my dog!! My Lab had been vomiting for 3 days and they let me drop her off, they cared for her all day and then did a vet exam that day even though their schedule was full. Kept my dog from dehydration and stopped the vomiting. Then, bonus! called to check on her. What a great place and caring staff!

I frankly was pretty disgusted to read some of these comments. Let me start by saying Dr. Tarrant and his entire team have not only been extremely supportive, but also kind and respectful of our budget. My older dog jumped off our bed and lost the use of her back legs. We really thought there was nothing that could be done. I brought her to see Dr. Tarrant and after seeing how bad her X-ray was, he said he could try laser therapy. I was honestly pretty skeptical of this process. I mean, Donut couldn’t couldn’t walk...at all. I wanted to at least try it, so we did. That was almost 2 years ago and Donut was running around the yard after the second treatment.Most recently we had an emergency. They referred us to Blue Pearl, but my dog gets super stressed there. When I explained it, they had me bring her in right away. They took xrays, the prognosis wasn’t great, but he didn’t give up on her. Within 48 hours, I have a happy dog at home again.I’m so grateful to have a vet that appreciates the relationship I have with my pets. They are family to us and he treats them with top notch care and loves them as we do. I completely trust him and I know, when the time comes, I’ve got the best person advocating for my dogs.....because he will always put their needs first.So, thank you isn’t enough for all they do....day in and day out. Imagine a doctor trying to treat a person that can’t speak or communicate their needs. That’s what Dr. Tarrant is doing. Each case is different. Each dog responds differently and sometimes it works and sometimes is a roll of the dice to see what works. But, that’s why you go see Dr. Mike! The day before Thanksgiving my cat Gracie injured her back and I called Arbor Creek Animal Hospital in a panic. The receptionist I spoke with was very kind but explained they were booked solid and had no openings. After explaining the pain Gracie was in she said bring her in and Dr Tarrant could check her out between patients. This was our first visit to Arbor Creek and I was really impressed with how I was treated. Everyone I have had contact with from the front desk to the vet was friendly and treated Gracie with great care. I even had an unexpected follow-up call from John two days later just to check on Gracie. I plan on continuing to trust Arbor Creek Animal Hospital with all of my cats health care. I would not hesitate to refer them to anyone needing a place to take their pets.

Love this place, my only place to go in the town for my cats. On my last visit, Doctor Tarrant helped me to come up with a plan to fit my financial situation and saved my cat! They are the kind of hospital that really cares about you and your pets!!

We love the grooming services. They always accommodate my special requests and our dog looks and smells great after each visit.

I have been seeing Dr. Tarrant for years. He has always provided the best care to my animals. He is so knowledgeable and really takes the extra time to make sure you understand everything that is going on with your pets. I love that he always looks outside the box and will find any way he can to help you. I really feel like part of the family when Im there. I have always been greeted with kindness by all the staff. Recently I lost one of my dogs and Im so glad to have had Dr. Tarrant taking care of him. He was sick for quite sometime and thanks to the Dr. T, I was able to make him comfortable to enjoy his last days with us as a family. My pets mean the world to me and when a Dr. is willing to go above and beyond, contacting you at night to check up on my dog, making home visits and willing to do what ever it takes to help you that really means the world. Dr. Tarrant and his wife, Natasha made me feel love and support during this awful time. Loosing a pet is like loosing one of your children, they are your family members. I couldnt ask for a better vet and experience than Ive had at Arbor Creek! I will continue to recommend Arbor Creek to all my friends and family.
