Irina is the best service ever, still the same JP food and deals even after a Pandemic. Best happy hour. Cant be beat. Cant got wrong with this location. Wish they would locate in denver 😉. Best tex mex in town.

Shrimp Tacos were delicious. First time trying this one. This restaurant practice social distance and cleanness. Our food came fast and customer service was good.

Always a favorite. Every time Ive taken someone thats never been, they always love it. I eat here once or twice a week. Cant go wrong with classics like Monterey chicken buritto or Pollo magnifico! But the steak tower on the appetizer menu is great. (I ask for them to substitute the normal dipping sauce for the tomatilla ranch. So good!) The blackened chickened Verde is currently my favorite! The chicken & chorizo buritto is also amazing!

First, i was completely ignored by the hosts cuz they were busy talking. I sat myself at the bar..... then i witnessed 4 or more people at least eating on the floor...bartender, 2 waiters..... including the floor manager eating and repeatedly touching his face while working. And watched a cook picking his nose and leave the bathroom without washing his hands. No one has washed hands or took any precautions to protect the food. Welcome to the wild west of dining. Id rather eat ice in Mexico than come back here. Oh and the soup was warm.... not hot. Sad, sad place. You should all be ashamed

Like the Latino version of Applebees but better...Waiter was a little slow. But food was really good. Very friendly service with host.Overall good bang for the buck. Had the Jose burger, and stuffed jalapenos. Also their espinaca (spinach) dip was really good. Their salsa and chips were good.

My husband and I were told to check this place out so we did, we got seated at the bar and literally didnt even finish out drinks before asking for our check. The staff have zero personality and extremely unfriendly. How could a place pick the two worst females to be bartenders!?!? Super disappointed. Wont be back.Our one bartenders name was Jenni. Not a nice person at all!

The Mahi tacos are great. Also love the Taco Al Carbon and the Fajitas! The Jalapeño Margarita is pretty good too. 😉

Went to dinner here last night for my mothers birthday and it was awesome. I mean my margaritas couldve been a little bit stronger, I was with all but 2 of my siblings and all our children so you know I needed a strong drink lol. Our waitress was amazing she handled our party like a pro. I was a little confused as to why I had to pay for shrimp when I only ordered and ate a cheese quasidilla. I mean it is what it is she still did a great job and we didnt have to track her down when we needed something. Oh I was a little upset that you only give people a free desert for their birthday, you dont announce to everyone that its their birthday.

The staff was so accommodating. My son surprised me upon returning from his deployment in the Middle East. They were wonderful!

They have great good no doubt. What I will complain about is the curbside pickup. They often have one person working it. 5 spots for curbside, one person taking orders, collecting money and running bags. As Im sitting here today waiting for my food, two people have come back with the wrong food. Wait time was 25 mins from order being placed, we have now been here for over 20 mins waiting for our order. They need get this guy some help. He is very friendly but he looks overwhelmed. He is consistently being stopped from running orders because he taking orders via phone. Shame on the management for allowing someone to be put in that situation.

One of the best places in the area to eat! Service is usually great and the food even better. Great for families with small children as I saw one family with two small children getting to color as they waited! Even better for a girls lunch they have great deals for happy hour too!

This place used to be the best establishment for a quality Tex-Mex meal. the last couple time i have been, the quality seems to be going down. They are using more and more salt on everything and even the chips were smothered in it. I asked for another bowl of chips (i never send food back), and they came out the same way.

Our online order was great, everything was what we expected. Our order was ready about 5 minutes after the quoted time, but we were greeted quickly. The parking could be configured better, maybe just one way or pull through. The employees were almost hit a few times while we were there.

My husband is from KC and when we would come to visit he always had to get food from his two favorite restaurants, Jose Peppers and Joe’s KC. Their chips, espinaca and salsas are really good, chips are in my top three favorite from Mexican restaurants. I’ve tried the Pollo Magnifico, Monterray Chicken Burrito, Combo #2, and Chicken Tortilla soup (my go to) and all are very good and I would order all again. Their margaritas are also reasonably priced (or at least they used to be, haven’t eaten in for a long time). I like the new to-go system they’ve put in place for COVID, but it was been really slow a few times. That’s my only knock against them.

Food was very good. Everything was served hot. Frozen Margaritas are good. We were a large party and no complaints.Service was very good. They do have a bar you can sit at or grab a table.

Great margaritas, and wonderful specials for Happy Hour. Their portion for their fajitas were the largest that Ive had in this area. I highly recommend them.

As always a go to in the Tex-Mex department. The menu is diverse yet stays true to its roots offering plenty of classic Mexican favorites. My personal go to is the Pollo Magnifico one of their oldest dishes. It takes seasoned shredded chicken and jalepeno cream cheese and wraps it in dough, they then deep fry it and add more jalepeno cream cheese and a slice of Colby jack cheese put it in a broiler to melt it and serve. You get 3 and its insanely delicious. Have been many times and will be back many more. I recommend for sure. Great happy hour and delicious espincana dip.

The curbside service here is horrible. I placed my order on the app and went to pick it up. I called when I got there and a girl came out with clipboard to take my name which come to find out was the same only girl working the phone inside. Why is she even outside when we all call the store to tell them were here and what stall number, especially if shes manning the phone.Another woman pulled up 15 minutes later and got her order before me. Really not cool. The wait was over 30 minutes. Definitely will not come back to this location. The carhop guy could tell I wasnt happy when he finally showed up and he saw me pull up before the other people. I had to call again after i noticed people after me leaving with there curbside food.Steer clear of this place and go to another location. They certainly need to get their s**t together. I have never been so annoyed with a service that should be used with ease.

Service and the food were great. They do use a lot of cilantro which I dont personally like but my wife loves it.

We order to go, whole order was wrong. It’s like they didn’t even try!!! My husband was running errands and brought it home and we don’t live close to restaurant. so we weren’t going drive all the way back to the restaurant to take it back. What a waste of money and frustrating!!! Hope to hear from someone from this place, but I am sure we won’t!

They do a good job. Everybody has masks on and the brought refills quickly and were attentive.

Normally eat/order from the Jose Peppers at 143rd & Metcalf, but we were close by, so figured let’s get it and get home. Ordered the food online @ 11:12, with pickup time of 11:35. Arrived before 11:30 and parked on the back row in spot 15. Watched the carry out people go to cars up front, talk to the people and deliver their food. At 11:35 I called to tell them we were there, and our spot #. At 11:46 the carry out person finally came over to get our name. They apologized, saying they were short handed. At 11:52, after watching another row of cars in the front spots get their food ahead of us, I told them to cancel our order as I was already going to be late to work. They said our food had been sitting there and that we were next. The carry out person went in, came out and went to another car to give them their order at 11:55. I started backing out, as I had to get to work. They then ran over to the car to give us our order.We had ordered chicken fajitas, espinaca and chips and salsa. The food was cold. The onions were barely cooked, they weren’t crunchy, but they weren’t what I would consider grilled. There was one bite of salsa that tasted like something was rotten in it.Overall a horrible experience. I have ordered from our normal Jose Peppers at least 4 times in the last three months, and have never had a bad experience. In my opinion, it is a problem with their management. If an area is falling behind because they are swamped or short staffed, management should shift people around, or jump in and pick up the slack. Getting food 20 minutes late, and cold is inexcusable. I will not be back.

The Skinny Margaritas are surprisingly good (how can any drink with the word skinny in it be good, right?) But Jose Peppers managed to do the impossible and make it delicious! My husband ordered the chicken verde and absolutely loved it! Well definitely go back again (and again).

I have to give Jose three stars because the food order was not up to par. The margarita was made with brandy an not tequila after the waitress said it was. Also they served spoiled chicken in the food which you could smell with out even having to take a bite. The only reason I took away two was because the manager was so kind in solving the problem. I even heard him yelling at the cooks in the back as we left out so the problem was definitely solved!!

Amazing service! Our server and the manager, Amy, were not only attentive, but incredibly nice and genuine. We made sure to call attention to how exceptional our server was and we were told he was new; honestly, you never would have guessed it based on the level of professionalism and expertise in customer service. I am always satisfied here. Our waitress yesterday did an amazing job, as well as every other time I have had this waitress. I believe her name is Trisha. She is a very good communicator and took care of our table to the top of our expectations. Because of her service, we always come back. But I have noticed that the general manager will come grab a glass from our table to fill it up, but he NEVER says a word to us. He doesnt ask us how our service has been, didnt even check to see if it was a glass of water or sprite. He needs to be more talkative when running a restaurant. I even said thank you when he brought back our drink and he didnt even say your welcome. Come on dude!

Visited on Tuesday, but no taco specials. Average price of dinners was 12.29. Got the bottom of the bag chips (small and broken). Ran out of tea, soda and waters.

We love the food, but had such a terrible time with the waitresses. From the moment we sat down, they were so rude to us. It was our second time there and we dont know anyone working there, but they treated us like we were their arch nemesis from high school or something rediculous. I have never been treated so horribly by a restaurant. Jose Peppers should see who they need to fire because this was so awful!

Taking the family for a birthday celebration is always an adventure, but leave it to Jose Peppers to make it awesome, even in the midst of a pandemic! The service was impeccable (thank you, Jahnavie!!), the food delicious (thank you, kitchen staff!!), the price was totally reasonable, and the atmosphere was delightfully warm and welcoming. There was plenty of space between diners, everything was clean and tidy, staff were all masked, hand sanitizer was available everywhere via no-touch dispensers, menus were continuously wiped down, and every effort was made to keep guests and staff safe, but welcome and happy. Our drinks were kept full, the chips were never-ending, and there was even a birthday dessert for the birthday boy! Its nice to be able to tell your server is smiling, even behind a mask! This was one of our best visits yet! And its the grandsons absolute favorite place to go because, well...espinaca! Thanks, Jose Peppers! 🌶

The meal was wonderful the service was impeccable we definitely had enough food we even had some to bring home. Would recommend this restaurant and the polo magnifico to everyone.

Ordered the lunch shrimp tacos. They charged me $22!! When I submitted my complaint online, they never got back to me. Not the pricing listed and they’re a glorified Taco Bell. Go spend less and get authentic food elsewhere.

We had the best visit to any Jose Peppers ever! Our server was incredibly attentive and so kind. We split a meal, and there is usually a stigma about possibly not getting as much of tip, but he was so sweet and treated us just like he would any other table. The manager on duty, Amy, did the same and it was so appreciated. Our server said he was new, and honestly, you would never know it. Hands down one of the best restaurant experiences we’ve ever had.

Waitress didn’t understand the concept of being polite because she told my boyfriend “not to call her ma’am” because “they’re like, the SAME AGE”. Yet she called me “Love” and I guess that’s okay, because we’re like, the same age.

Their tortilla chips were served warm and salsa had great flavor. My friends and I enjoyed the food here. We ordered a Mahi (fish) bowl, veggie enchiladas and grilled chicken fajitas. Our server was polite and very helpful in customizing my vegetarian friends order. The food was served hot and the restaurant had a great atmosphere.They definitely have the best people working for them! I will definitely be returning.

I would consider myself a bit of a Mexican food expert having lived near the southern border most of my life. I ate the steak enchiladas and it was highly disappointing. The cheese tasted like quick serve cheese and the service was subpar. As a whole, there is NOTHING authentic about it. Tex Mex would be a generous classification and likely too good to describe Jose Peppers.

We always have great service here. But spring has finally come to Kansas, and our dining criteria requires pet friendly patios for this fantastic weather. No disappointment here. The staff were very accommodating to our furry girls, to include providing a water dish for them and several other staff, stopped by for a friendly greeting. Thanks for SPECTACULAR service and food.

Be careful if you have a gluten allergy or celiac disease.I have celiac disease and have gotten the shredded beef enchiladas, on numerous occasions now. Every time I go, I make certain to clarify that I have celiac so that they know to inform their cooks to handle my food properly. In the attached picture you will see that shredded beef is listed on their gluten free menu. I took the picture on 12/29/2017 so that I could more easily place orders for pick-up at lunch time.I was informed today (2/28/2018) that the shredded beef is not, in fact, gluten free. The person taking my order, at the Olathe location, made the realization. Their manager, when I questioned it, informed me that they had changed their recipe in the last couple weeks. This was after I informed them that I had just purchased the enchiladas 2 weeks ago.I contacted the Overland Park location to verify. The manager there did verify that the shredded beef is not gluten free. She also informed me that, to her understanding, it has never been gluten free in her 10 years with the company. She also stated that they havent changed their recipes in at least 6 months.This is a very bad situation for me. I should have caught it. I noticed the symptoms after eating here. I am still pretty new to all of the gluten free restrictions, however, and chalked it up to having eaten something else. I expected them to be genuine with their menu (due to the severity of not being so). Now I wonder what else they are being less than honest about.If you do not have any problems with gluten it is a great place. The service is good, the staff professional and polite and the food is genuinely tasty.If you do have gluten problems, however, be careful here and eat at your own risk.

Our server was Kirsten, she was friendly and helpful. We had Pollo Mognifico and Steak tacos. The food was excellent, but the waiting time was signifficant (about 40 min). We understand that food needs to be cooked from scratch, and we enjoyed salsa chips while waiting. Definitely will be back!

Friday nights - sit at the bar. The bartenders are awesome. The margaritas are excellent. The food is fantastic - particularly the espinaca dip with chips, and all at great prices! Meet new friends - everyone is so welcoming, whether it is the staff or the guests. Within moments of your arrival, you will feel like family! Looking for a place to eat found this spot, great job outstanding service and wonderful food. Price was in line with most sit down Mexican food restaurants. The shrimp dinner was done perfect. Left waiting 30 minutes to pick up my online order. Watched them try to give my food to 4 different cars before they finally brought it to me. Cold food by the time I got it and figured out they got my husbands order wrong. Curbside pickup is a joke!

Oh my! This was the best Jack n Box Ive ever been to. Ordered to eat in during lunch. Food came out fresh and hot for all of us! Items ordered: tacos, curly fries, a variety of burgers, churros, cheesecake, egg rolls. Our bunch will definitely be back when the boss allows lunch out!

Listen, I have worked in the food industry in the past for a few years and know good and bad service. And currently working at a healthy/food customer service based industry. We came here on 8/24 for dinner-it was my first time eating here. The food was great although the service is TERRIBLE.Once we were seated our server never came to take our drinks.. we sat there for at least 5-6 minutes just for the manager to finally acknowledge us. He took our drinks and orders which was great then our server thank god finally came to only drop off chips and salsa. Not even a hint of a smile. We never saw her again til our food came and asked if we needed anything else which by this time we were not happy with the service and needed nothing else. Throughout dinner, my fiance NEVER had a refill which he looked around constantly to see if our server was anywhere near and she was not. Talk about eating good food for half an hour with nothing to drink. The table next to us had a great server too bad ours wasnt like theirs. Overall, the food is great the service is bad. If you want customers to come back- have great customer service especially when they are new.

Was in town to visit my older parents. Theyve enjoyed Mexican food (Americanized) all their married lives. Our party of 8 was at Joses on a Friday night. Our server, Landon, was pleasant, navigated the packed house easily and served us hot, fresh food. The bill for 8 of us including several alcoholic drinks was less than $100 before tip. Its not fancy food but if youre craving Tex-Mex, this place will fix you us.

Food was delicious and the staff delivering the food was friendly. As he sat my plate down he says, be careful, its delicious. He was right, every bit was crazy delicious.Our waitress lacked ability. She did not remove our plates from the table and held on to four tables of tickets while she stood at another table where the wife was in the bathroom and the husband sat at the table on his phone. I can guess he was talking to the wife but for real, deliver the tickets and let people out of the restaurant so others can be seated already. Longest dinner ever.Ill go again sometime, but Ill refuse her section because I like great service and will tip well for it.

Ive been eating at jose peppers my whole life i would say its my favorite restaurant. If you decide to eat at Jose Peppers please dont go to this one. You wont get the service and best tasting food that they can put out. The past few times I have been there they messed up a-lot of my order but it was mostly forget small stuff. My most recent time I had ordered my food at 5:45. It didnt come out until close to 7. When I got home with my food not one or two things were wrong. EVERYTHING was wrong. I called and drove back to get the right order. I checked the bag before leaving (they still had left out 2 espinacas) but other then that it looked okay. Until I got home and we found out we got beef instead of chicken in our burritos. NEVER go to this jose peppers anyone is better then this one.

Ive had multiple bad experiences at this location. My latest exeperience was by far the worst. Our food was supposed to be ready at 6 p.m. (placed the order online over three hours prior) and I waited an hour and 20 minutes for my food after arriving at 6 p.m. to pick it up. I talked to two managers, and both were extremely rude and unhelpful. Didnt offer any kind of coupon, help, or anything and told me that their system just didnt work well. Ridiculous. Food was finally delivered and the bag was covered in food, and the order was still wrong. Not going back!! So unimpressed.
