It took 2 days to get mccarthy to come down to my reasonable price on my car. Plus a feature listed which was important to me was missing. The first salesman I worked with (Micheal Shelby) gets 5 stars from me. Even though we could not make the sale that day he was polite and courteous. Never treated me any differently because I was a female.The second person I worked with gets 1 star. He was not courteous and very much treated me differently because I am a woman. He first asked me if I found him more attractive than the person I was working with earlier in the week and then drew me a diagram (picture of a car and all) to explain to me how cars are bought and sold when I told him that I disagreed with the price of the car. The following day was even worse. Finance made an agreement with my bank to accept a check draft until they sent in paperwork to my bank and I would take possession of my car. They did not honor that agreement and I left without my car that day plus extra legwork as I had to drop off the paperwork to the bank instead of someone at the dealership! I began trying to buy the car on Saturday and did not actually get the car until Wednesday. Never will I buy from here again or recommend anyone else to.

This was my first experience at a dealership. My sales rep was quick to come up with a solution when the vehicle I had made an appointment to see sold just about 5 minutes prior to my arrival. I love the vehicle I purchased and am thankful for the minor work that was done on it before I drove it off the lot. The process was quick and easy. I deducted a star because the sales rep that assisted me thought it was necessary to inquire about the age difference between my husband and I, and extended his hand to offer a “fist bump” to my husband. This is the first and only time in our 5 years any commentary has ever been made, and in my opinion, wasn’t appropriate, let anyone anyone’s business.Other than that, my experience was fine and I didn’t feel pressured regarding the sale.

As far as the sales process goes, I can’t say enough about how courteous and smooth McCarthy Hyundai made it. My salesman, Jamie Ross, was absolutely STELLAR. Definitely ask for him!In a tough market for finding cars right now, Jamie and his manager made the experience very very positive. As a salesperson myself, and as a female, I get annoyed pretty quickly if I get the runaround or long sales pitches. I went to multiple dealerships searching for a car and felt like a fish in shark infested waters… I even had a sales manager speak down to me. But not at this dealership. Jamie read my personality and got straight to the point. **Second update: After finally resolving the issue, McCarthy Hyundai called me back weeks later advising they didnt charge me the correct amount and wanted more money (I had already paid them hundreds of dollars). I no longer have the paperwork (as we got rid of the car), so I had no way of verifying if it was true or not. I was told I have no choice but to pay the amount. This service department is seriously the worst. Do not go there.Our Santa Fe broke down so we took it here for service because it was the closest service location. During the time it was there communication back to us was non-existent. After days of no news I had to call them to get an update each time. Once the vehicle was fixed the service advisor was so unfamiliar with his own job that I had to walk him through all of the repairs/service that was made so they would charge us the correct amount (their amount was significantly lower than what we were supposed to pay) and then the rest to the extended warranty company who had already approved the claim. Now its been months and they are calling me asking me for money when all they have to do is fax a single piece of paper to the warranty company (who has already approved everything and is just waiting on their paperwork to cut a check) so that they will be paid. Each week I call them, each week they tell me theyll take care of it and call me back, each week they dont call back. Frankly its been an ongoing punishment that I used this service department and I cannot recommend enough that you go somewhere else. They dont seem capable of doing their job.

I have taken my Palisade to McCarthy’s service department twice and both times the experience was less than expected, bordering on rude. It seems like they are so busy they do not feel customer service is necessary. I have recently moved to Olathe from Joplin and feel that the fact I did not buy my vehicle from McCarthy makes me less important for them to satisfy me. I will start taking my vehicle back to Joplin to have it serviced going forward.

I worked with Frank from day one and felt like throughout it all, he was real patient and attentive to my preferences. Ultimately I didnt feel like I was being shoe-horned or pushed to get more than I was asking for. He ultimately found me a great match in a car I didnt think Id initially be very interested in, so Im very happy with the end result!

The service itself was great but their communication could use some improvement. Took my car in Wednesday morning and was told they would call me to give me an update. No call. The next day same exact thing. Finally I hear back on Friday with an update after calling them. Wouldve been fine if they didnt promise me a call by the end of the day each time.They ended up following through with getting me a rental and are replacing my engine under warranty. I would for sure rate 5 stars if they would have been better with communicating my cars status. Its not easy finding rides to work while your car is in the shop.

The deal I ended up with was better than my best projections! I just bought my second car there and both times, Jamie and I were shaking hands within 15 - 20 minutes. You can see how relaxed the other customers are. Especially at the Hyundai lot. With each year Hyundai makes targeted improvements to the cars as they really have listened to what the drivers say. On top of that, Hyundai is known for their outstanding service coverage.I still cant believe the deal I got for the new car and my trade in. Lets face it, these past 2 years has been rough. But as I drove home with my new car and not having that feeling that I just got ripped off. Was the best feeling I had in what seemed like ages!

I am a person who hates car shopping and doesn’t know much about cars, so I am hesitant to go into any car dealerships or auto shops. However, once I got there, Hunter Allee made my car shopping experience extremely comfortable. I felt that he was honest with me and worked with me, even though I am in kind of a tough situation, financially. He really took the time to find me a safe car that was in my budget. I really appreciated that he took into account what I told him I needed and that he went the extra mile to make sure I ended up with a safe car. I am more than happy with the car I got and would 100 % recommend Hunter Allee. Should I ever need another car, this is where I will be going. Not to mention, at this time, cars have been in higher demand, so it makes it that much harder to find a car. Years ago, I walked into McCarthy and was overwhelmed by sales people, only to have to sit and wait. It was a huge turn-off and I really just didnt want to go back ever. My mind was recently changed. I found a vehicle that I had been looking for for a long time, as I was not going to settle. I sent a quick message and made an appointment with Ruben Ontiveros to test drive the car. When I got there I was met not with the pushy sales person saying you need, you need, you need, but a friend person ready to help. Ruben was ready with the keys for me and ready to look at my trade. When I got back from the test drive, again, met with a friendly face. I was at the dealership for three hours start to finish, which is really not that bad. This new experience has really brought my opinion of McCarthy back into a positive light and I would recommend them to someone looking to purchase a vehicle.

When my wife found a car she was interested in she called. The vehicle was at a different McCarthy location. They brought the car to Olathe for our viewing. The sales people were very courtous and easy to work with. We purchased the 2020 Hyundai Sonata. The gentleman in the business office was also easy to work with.

Called in advance to look at 3 vehicles they had on the website, to make sure they were in stock. Talked to a Sydney about the vehicles she answered our questions, two of the vehicles had no price listed online Sydney said she would check with the manager on price and let us know when we arrive but said the price would be similar to the 3rd vehicle.Sydney texts us that we will be meeting with Peter to view the 3 vehicles and to let the dealership know of any changes on time, since we were driving 3 HOURS!We arrive on time ask for Peter, he informs us they have zero cars on the lot we are there to see. Peter goes and checks with his manager or someone else and comes back to tell us they will be getting those cars on the lot in the future but have zero right now, even though they are on the website. Peter then tells us sorry for the miscommunication and that Sydney is off today, and he is not sure why she said the dealership had those cars previously. When we informed Peter we talked to Sydney 3 hours earlier same day, now his response is she has left work for the day.

I wish there was a negative star option. Just be aware Hyundai service department is AWFUL!!!!Making an appointment means nothing. Made an appointment for 8:30 am. I called at 3:00 pm to check and they had not even looked at it yet and told me I’d have to bring it back the next day!!! Dealing with Chris was a very straight forward experience. He asked what we were looking for in a vehicle, pulled up matching options on the lot, and showed us our options without being aggressive or pushy in his approach. The New Car Sales Manager was also very informative and straightforward with all of our questions. We would definitely deal with them again.

A great place to buy a car. Our salesman Terrance McConnell was very helpful getting us into our 2nd choice Tucson. Terrance was getting ready to show us the one we had been looking at on line and would have purchased when my wife had a medical problem and we had to go to go home and come back. By the time we got back they had just sold our 1st choice. He was able to get us in our 2nd, the only Red Tucsonleft. People were in a buying frenzy but Terrance took time with us and helped us get the car in the shortest possible time considering how hectic it was.
