It makes me sad to do a two star review but I’m beyond annoyed. Two years ago after we moved into our house we found out that the past owners hosed us with our inground pool and after getting the run around from another company cardinal saved the day. They repair our pool plumbing and everything beautifully. Would give them a five star for that any day. Fast forward to this year. We decided to open our pool ourselves, we always have had someone close and open it for us. We proceeded to take the cover off only to find it is drastically different than when it was uncovered before(I totally get that can happen) but the kicker is full bottles of unopened algae preventative floating in our pool. Who does that?!

Simple. Long established store with superior no nonsense knowledgeable staff. Even the most experienced owners benefit from a free expert water test and advice. Usually have the parts in stock or can either ship them in or suggest where to obtain. The only thing that could improve this store, is maybe a better location, as much has changed and developed over the decades since it initially opened, but then wed probably have to pay extra instead of benefiting from a low overhead. A better store than the majority, and worth the drive. Definitely recommend. Ive been a pool owner for two decades and trust Cardinal AquaTech over most others who lack in key areas.
We started going to them after our pool was put in. I wish I would have used them to build our pool. They have been super helpful from the beginning teaching us what we need for our pool and now to do chemicals. The first few times we went, my husband spent a couple hours there. They’re super nice and very helpful!
Nice demeanor and seemed knowledgeable, but I had a pre-purchase pool inspection scheduled two weeks in advance that the seller needed to have done on a specific day before they left town. Cardinal called me 2 hours before the appointment to cancel due to scheduling issues and left me scrambling last minute to find a replacement.

Great place, friendly knowledgeable staff, always help me with my pool problems. Always have the supplies I need. They can test your water and fix you up on the spot. Scheduled Cardinal to come out and open our pool. I called the morning of the opening because it was pouring down rain and asked if they wanted to reschedule - they did not. When they arrived, they removed the pool cover, dumped a bucket of shock in, and left. In the process of taking the cover off, they completely stripped out 2 of the screws that hold the cover to the concrete. To top it off, they did not even turn the pump on. I called the service department and he said they would be out the next day to turn the pump on and check for leaks. They did that but, nothing else. The pool is still green 2 weeks later despite doing everything they asked us to do. $250 down the drain and had to call another company to come and ACTUALLY clean the pool up and open it. Don’t waste your time with Cardinal. They will do the bare minimum but charge you like they have cleaned the pool.
Needed to replace my pump motor. Was shown scheme so I knew where everything went and was walked thru process. Very helpful and friendly!

Poor experience. Last year they serviced my pool through the summer. I started calling this year in February to start service again. I pay to have my pool opened closed and serviced on a weekly basis. Somehow, they just didn’t have room for me this year. They tried to tell me that they were training new people at the beginning of the year. Then somehow, I lose my position for weekly pool maintenance. Very disappointed in the run around they have given me. This forced me to find a new pool service company.
These folks are the best hands down. They are the pool people you need in your life.

Had a pool closing appt scheduled, and the day of the appt at 9:50 am of a morning appt., I called Cardinal to confirm when worker might arrive. I was told the the employee had a sick dog and that they rescheduled it for Friday. Mind you, I called them to find this out, they never ASKED me if Friday was okay or to tell me they werent coming. I took off work, so that I could be here to watch how it was done. So, instead of calling me early to let me know, I was left to figure it out myself. I was also given two differing prices by different employees, when I set up the appointment. (#1-$85 #2-$120). I understand life situations can arise, but to not be informed in a timely fashion is just bad business. Based on this and previous, less than impressive experiences, I will no longer be using Cardinal.
