A very nice hotel with a great view. The bar inside was great. The entire place was clean and welcoming. Highly recommended!
My young daughter and I moved over to this property very late at night after feeling a little uncomfortable safety-wise where we were originally booked. What a great decision!! This property was clean, refreshing, and very welcoming. Even the beautiful interior was no match for the wonderful service!! The night receptionist was very kind; and the next morning, we met Serena in the cafe and Johnny at the front desk - and they too went above and beyond. Cant wait to go back! Thank you Renaissance Waterford for a fantastic visit!!
This is my second time here. Traveling for business with no family. Probably one of the best in OKC.
The suite we had was spacious and very nicely decorated. The two balconies were awesome with beautiful views. The staff was very polite and friendly..
We booked this hotel based on the good reviews but our stay was not worth the money we spent. We first noticed the sheets were dirty. The front desk lady was very nice and offered to bring up some new ones. The outlets by the bed didn’t work and and the WiFi was spotty. We lost Tv signal for about an hour. There was a wedding downstairs and the people in the surrounding rooms were all drunk and we got to listen to them throw up for a while, so that was fun. They sounded like the were in my bathroom. I don’t know if the hallways echo that bad or what but it was bad. The bed were not comfortable at all. On the outside this place looks really nice, but the actual experience was lacking big time.
I really enjoyed my two night stay here. Breyonna who works at the front desk is an absolute pleasure. She went above and beyond to make sure that I was comfortable. Chuck at the Ember Bar & Restaurant is also amazing. I can’t wait to come back.
It’s a nice hotel if you plan on waking up early. Room service will be banging and busting in room before 8am. Kinda gave me an attitude first thing in the morning.
The room needed to be cleaned more. There was dust on the door to the air condition area. I called and ask for it to be cleaned it never was. I also notice the hanger was lodged into the air conditioner to help it work. Guess that was broken too.My toilet was not working and asked for help. Once I got back to the room I noticed maintenance left a yellow mess on the seat and left the lid open. I didnt appreciate that since it was all girls in the room.Bed was soft. Pull was clean. Food was good.
Beautiful hotel, the rooms are spacious, and the beds are like sleeping on a cloud.
I feel like we got the short stick during our stay. I asked if our room had a microwave, Fdl (front desk lady) said, no. My SIL checked in the next day, she asked the same question. Fdl said, you have to ask for one & we’ll bring in to your room. We already did our food shopping. Would have been great to know that. We went downstairs for breakfast, waitress stopped us and said, we had to pay and it wasn’t self serve. Day before, my niece went downstairs and served herself, didn’t pay for anything. Said, there were many guests serving themselves. Even brought a big plate to her room for later. We stayed here 3 days, NO one came to our room to clean it. If we’re supposed to ask, then that needs to be said upfront, along with the microwave & breakfast ordeal. I definitely wouldn’t stay here again.
Theres a reason the Waterford is a 4 diamond. Unbeatable quality for over 2 decades. Mr. Chance Rollins and team are top notch. If you stay anywhere else in Oklahoma City you are cheating yourself out of the best hotel experience you could possibly have there
Positive: Lobby was super clean and updated. The room smelled clean, and I dont see this very often. I was not hesitant about sleeping under the sheets. Negative: The pillows were horrible. I did not like how soft the four large king size pillows were. That was the only thing wrong with our stay.
Great stay, very nice hotel near everything. Needs a few improvements. Definitely need some umbrellas by the pool. A little music to.drown out the loud A/C units would help also.
Beds are uncomfortable back hurts have bruises on back of legs from board around base Bathroom was nice and clean. Ramp going to parking lot is scary.
Wonderful hotel. Great for business travel. Close to good restaurants.
We had a terrible experience at the Waterford. It was disappointing because it looked like it would be so nice. While we were trying to get to sleep near midnight, we could hear our neighbors perfectly through the wall. They werent even yelling but we could hear their entire conversation. After an hour, I decided we just couldnt sleep like this. I went to the front desk to ask to switch rooms. I didnt want to bother the people next to us. The front desk said they were booked. So instead, they called to tell the people next to us to be quiet right as I was walking back to our room. That perfect timing allowed our neighbors to cuss me out as I was trying to get back into my room. Surely, there was a better way to do this. After that experience, we didnt even stay the night and found somewhere else to stay where we could actually sleep. The main problems I had at the Waterford were thin walls that made it impossible to sleep and an unhelpful front desk. If you dont care about actually sleeping, then you may not have an issue here. I wont be staying here again and wouldnt recommend it.
Omg. The staff and hotel are the best. Bre and Johnny helped me and if I couldve more stars I would.
We only stayed for one night, in town to see the Foo Fighters at the zoo. The staff at the front desk was very friendly and helpful.
If I could leave a 0 I would. I have never been so ticked or disappointed I have felt compelled to write a review for a hotel. I stayed a total of 3 weeks, so these are consistent issues. Where do I start, constant elevator issues, poor plumbing, completely disorganized resulting in sending guests to occupied rooms. If your a BonVoy member good luck getting any points from these guys. They dont operate like EVERY other hotel in the country. The only saving grace is the nice restaurant staff.
I have been staying at The Waterford for years . My Family has had Reunions at this same location. During my last stay I had a bad experience with a few Employees, however the Service that I received from Erica and Michael at the Front desk made up for the unacceptable service received from other Employee. Its because of exceptional service from Michael and Erica I will continue being a loyal Customer!Levada Overton
Positive: The bed and pillows were my favorite amenity and the view was pretty awesome as well.Love the quick check-in too! Negative: Great stay. Nothing to complain about.
Very nice. Older building with updates. Nice staff. Excellent bar and dining room.
This is the only place I will ever stay at when I am in OKC!. Beautiful, classy, clean rooms, quiet location, and amazing staff, with a fantastic restaurant in the hotel! Checks all the boxes for me!
Very nice establishment, great for business meetings.
Positive: Location Negative: Inadequate air conditioning. Hot tub not working
Very nice hotel. One problem was couldnt get the conference room to work correctly
Ive stayed in Marriotts all over the world and understand what to expect from their different brand categories, and this is not a renaissance hotel.
Booked because I was looking for a hotel with a hot tub specifically, check in & informed hot tub is out of commission. Would like refund
We never got new towels or our rooms cleaned. The drain in our room was so stopped up it took 10-15 minutes to drain a quick shower. The breakfast service was very slow. The location is great, service isn’t.
The rooms have paper thin walls. You can hear EVERYTHING, even if you speak in normal voice. I was roomed next to several crying children that would not stop crying for hours/ days. No daily house keeping. If you want new towels or toiletries, you have to go to the front desk and request them. Parking is at the back of the hotel which is inconvenient when it rains. Staff is not friendly. The bed sheets smelled. I doubt sheets are changed after guests check out. For being next to Nichols Hills, this hotel is ghastly and unacceptable. I could not check out fast enough from this place. If you want no privacy, dirty linens, bad service, and head crying children at 5 am, this is the place to go.
Really beautiful hotel. The redesign on the rooms paid off. This is clean and quiet and cool place.
Did not end up staying. I made a reservation for two rooms to the app, however for whatever reason only received one confirmation email. I showed the desk clerk the reservation confirmation in the app which clearly showed two rooms, but she would not accept that. Furthermore, while trying to figure this out she proceeded to answer the phone four times. Always love Renaissance, but will never consider this one again.
Extremely loud and lacking the services or qualities that come with the price tag. Was unable to sleep due to the noise level and ended up cutting my trip short just to leave this hotel.
Huge rooms, friendly staff, pretty good breakfast. Bedding is super comfy as well. Decor is kinda funny (but nice / new / clean)
Nice hotel cleaner than most I have been to, still found candy wrapper on nightstand though. Good breakfast but the hotel is not serving lunch or dinner at this time. Might have missed that in the description but it sounded like they were. In any case if youre traveling dont expect all the amenities, however the gym and pool were operating.
Well I would have liked a bathtub
Fantastic hotel! I have stayed in a few hotels in okc. This so far, is my favorite. I used an upgrade credit to stay in an executive suite with my wife. The room was amazing and the view was even better. Thanks for making our special kid free night that much better!
Positive: The location Negative: The air conditioning in our room didn¿t work both nights that we stayed. I called and reported the problem to the front desk but nothing was done to fix it.
My favorite hotel best customer service clean rooms.
I did not personally stay here but Ive heard great things in the property in the inside the lobby are always very clean
I usually look forward to coming to this hotel its clear to see that it is not the way it used to be. it is mismanaged they messed up the reservation the right hand does not know what the left hand is doing I do not appreciate the manager getting on to me about a mask. Not to mention at breakfast the waiter had a diaper full of urine and the jet wash from that was unbearable I highly recommend you do not stay at this hotel.also there is no air conditioning in this entire building including the rooms I was sweating in my bed and I was sweating at breakfast The hot room temperature didnt help The diaper that was full of urine.
Room was nice but they definitely need to stay on top of maintenance and actually make sure everything is up and functioning.
Oh boy - This hotel has seen its prime and it is now past it. It is about 6 years overdue for a MAJOR refresh - The rooms are beat up and tired. The AC and Heat systems in each room are LOUD and work poorly. The housekeeping team is mediocre at best. Just look at the ratings of ALL Marriott properties in OKC and then you decide where you want to lay your head down. For the money... you can pick several other Marriott’s that won’t disappoint like this tired location.
Negative: Everything was fine except the room was really hot/stuffy. Maintenance came & looked at it & said a vent was closed in the bathroom & he opened it but it never got any better.
Stay somewhere else. I’m typing this at 1:30am because our A/C doesn’t work for the second night. After the first night we asked for maintenance to come and nothing happened. It’s the second night and still hot as can be and we were offered a box fan to help. This place is a joke and the front desk staff at 1:30am in a joke. Also, the place isn’t clean. My husband told me he found one of my AirPods on the floor and tried to hand it to me. It’s wasn’t mine. Clearly not even sweeping the floors here. We should have left then. We live in OKC and we are just staying here for the weekend while having some work done in our house and dissatisfied in that there are so many other better hotels to stay at in OKC. This was recommended by a coworker and what a let down it has been.
Beautiful setting inside a very nice neighborhood... So cozy and the view is breathtaking! ♥️♥️🥂🥂
It’s a little outside of the city but only a short drive to downtown tourism spots and restaurants. It’s a quiet location with nice amenities. I stay in hotels very often and this is a place I come back to. The rooms are modern and well designed. There are some mild signs of wear and tear. Carpet in my room could use a steam cleaning or replacement to refresh.
Horrible!! Attached is a picture of the airfilter that they would do nothing about. Im waiting to hear back from the GM. Depending on that I may go to the Oklahoma state health department. Im sure they would love to know they arent changing out their filters during covid.
The air conditioner was broke in our room. We called to report the problem on the second night and it never got fixed.
I have stayed at the Waterford before but never for a big family gathering with multiple rooms booked like we did recently. The hotel is so convenient & easy parking. The front desk accommodated all of us from the babies with need for cribs to the grandmothers needing handicap access & special help. The rooms and bathrooms were spacious. Just a very nice hotel without any hassle!
I delivered an order there. No one had masks on. Its a beautiful building though . .
Positive: The bar staff was amazing. The front desk staff was great until I encountered a problem with being over charged and my toilet was leaking. I wasn’t offered another room and the Manager did next to nothing to fix nothing until I complained t Negative: See above
We were in town visiting family and spent a night with our family of four at the hotel. The hotel has a great location in the heart of Oklahoma City with proximity to shopping and great food but tucked in a lovely neighborhood. We enjoyed the pool, the food at the restaurant, and the fitness center. The rooms are spacious and clean and the beds are super comfy. Staff is very friendly and the hotel décor is beautiful. This hotel has been an OKC staple for a long time and has evolved to keep up with changing needs and desires of travelers and OKC locals over the years. We wanted to stay another night and will definitely be going back!
Bathroom shower needed some work but staff was amazing
Positive: Location was the key in choosing this hotel. After arriving, the hotel staff was the best thing. Negative: The soundproofing. Neighbor had their TV on all night.
Very comfortable. Great, relaxing environment with great style. But the service is what sets them apart. The restaurant and concierge staff are beyond great. They’re incredibly polite, respectful and genuine. There’s no other place in the area I would choose to stay.
Our stay was less than pleasant and will not be back. First rooms air conditioning did not work, so we called down to the front desk and after 50-60 rings gave up. Was greeted by the same taped-on sign stating they would return shortly. Same sign that was taped on at our arrival 2 hours prior. We were switched to another room that also had A/C issues but after packed and unpacking twice were over it. Room never got below 74 degrees. Called again for linens/and once more for silverware. Never any answer and the same lovely taped on sign. Made do with the used towels we had and my husband had to snoop around for cutlery and was only able to find one fork. Lazy front desk, and terrible AC ensured we will not return.
Great hotel, wonderful staff, beautiful surroundings
Positive: Overall the hotel is nice Negative: There were blood spots on the backside of the comforter. Not just one, but many from one side of the comforter to the other. Hotel staff replaced it next morning. Refrigerator was noisy and kept me awake first night. Unplugged it the second night.
We enjoyed our weekend stay at The Waterford in OKC. The hotel cleanliness and decor was outstanding. The staff was friendly (they seemed like they were truly glad we were there) and helpful. The breakfast buffet was delicious and the wait staff went out of their way to offer great customer service. I would stay again!
This is one of the most unique hotels we have ever had the privilege of staying! Super friendly staff, excellent decor, and style, the breakfast buffet is outstanding! The hotel king suite was absolutely superb. This a beautifully restored building with a terrific modern decor. This is one of the best areas to stay in Edmond. Nichols Hills offers an upscale feel, shopping, and dining options to appeal to any traveler. This hotel feels like the perfect getaway but also feels like home. This is not a huge loud crowded hotel. The parking is excellent, you park and walk around the corner and into the Lobby. The bellhop is waiting at the door to greet you or help you with your luggage or answer any questions you may have. I feel like I should have paid a few hundred dollars more a night for this hotel with the service and feel I was offered!
Positive: Nothing Negative: Rude staff, gross coffee, stiff bed, no room service, bad view.
The overnight female front desk person wasnt the nicest, but everybody else was nice and pleasant and actually seemed like enjoying being in customer service....I would recommend installing hangers for the robes by the jacuzzi because it was a major inconvenience. I enjoyed staying there tho. #917
The presidential suite is amazing but the front hotel staff are amazing .... Alisa is most wonderful professional and warm... I can see her making manager! thank you for taking the time to take care of me! #Diaz
Place is a joke. Old beds, nasty shower, AC doesnt work in multiple rooms that I was switched to. The pictures look good but once you get here you know...
Rude staff. Noisy rooms. People next door doing the dirty super loud. Not at all what was expected by the rating.
Very comfortable and stylish. Clean and classy decor. While the dining staff strives to provide great service and the food was very good the restaurant was under staffed for both dinner and breakfast. We waited longer than was reasonable with everything from drinks and coffee to dessert. We dont fault the staff because there were so few of them but in a high end hotel you shouldn’t have to flag people down over and over.
Need better pillows, they only had down-feather. They need better towels. Service was sometimes good, sometimes so-so.
Honestly I rarely review anything. However this was by far one of the worst experiences I have had at a Marriott Hotel. Took 30 min for the hot water to come out of the faucet, no cribs for my babies even though I was told before I booked their was, the phones didnt work the room next to us was smoking Marijuana and the smell was so strong. It was definitely not worth $200 a night. If you cant provide the same level of service as a 4 star hotel dont charge me for one.
My husband and I were very impressed during our stay at the Renaissance Waterford OKC Hotel. Our room was stylish, clean, and comfortable. We couldnt believe the price we paid for what we got. We felt like we were staying in a very upscale hotel, for less than other well known 3 star hotels. We had a great stay and will definitely be back!
Really nice hotel. It was clean and pretty. The view from our room was amazing! Also, the restaurant in the hotel was phenomenal, its close to Penn Square Mall and other shopping. I would definitely stay here again! The husband and I used it for a little weekend getaway and it was just perfect! They also have some nice conference rooms and event spaces!!
I stay in hotels 300 nights a year so any twist from the normal hotel in a positive way is a good thing. This hotel still has the good things of the past such as bellmen, to help with your luggage and logistics, they truly seek to get to know You and your needs. The staff is there to help make your stay comfortable and the personal touches make it unforgettable.
Its a beautiful place to stay
Positive: Restaurant Negative: Yes.. room and service
We had the executive king corner suite. There were cracks in the walls throughout the suite. The bathroom door could not open all the way because of the placement of the toilet. The bedroom balcony was covered in cigar butts. The bedroom vent was held open with a pen and didn’t work very well so even with the thermostat being set at 60 degrees we were not able to sleep with any sheets on. The bed was pleasantly comfortable. Upon booking the room I requested extra pillows which weren’t there on check in. I asked for some through the mobile app, an hour later called down to ask for more pillows, another hour later called again and finally received extra pillows. We were on the 9th floor and the views were amazing but little did we know that we were right next to the lounge and at 5:30 when they start making breakfast you get woken up to all the banging of the dishes and them cooking. We definitely would not have paid extra to be in an executive suite and a corner unit had we known this. The pool was clean and nice to use. The restaurant food was good, although the service was a bit slow. The mini fridge in our room was broken and not working which we did have to get replaced. Overall my house with two toddlers is cleaner than the room was which was quite disappointing.
We stayed in a King room with a balcony. The room was very HOT and the A/C was barely blowing. We called the front desk and they sent a maintenance man who claimed he fixed it but it was still warm all night long. Also, my husband tried to take a shower before bed and there was no hot water and he had to wait another 30 minutes or so for hot water. The walls are also super thin so you can hear everything your neighbor is saying. Needless to say, we paid a decent amount for no sleep. The staff was nice and the room itself, while quaint, was nice. However, based on our experience, we won’t be back.
Positive: Rooms were clean, beds very comfortable Negative: A microwave in the room would of be nice since limited food service
Positive: The pool area is amazing and the property as a whole is beautifully maintained Negative: Restaurant still isnt open for lunch or dinner.
I liked the renovations done to the hotel and the quality. We were regular guests at the old Marriott on NW Expressway and when it closed we had a hard time finding an acceptable replacement where we felt at home. We tried the Waterford a couple of times before the renovations but were not satisfied. With all the updates completed, we have found our new home away.

Hotel was pretty nice and our room was large. The view from our suite was the AC units which wasn’t great. Staff were limited but all working hard and all very nice. The hotel was dead but the pool was really overcrowded because they sell memberships to the surrounding neighborhood. It was so crowded we didn’t even use it despite the hotel being near empty. This is a major downside if the pool is an attraction for you. We didn’t try the restaurant because it was closed but Bellinis across the street was really good.
The hotel and the beds are great. We will stay here again
I had booked a room at the wrong hotel under the same name. Ive made mistakes before with this hotel when I book and its always been something on my end. They never blink an eye and take care of me immediately and graciously. I travel 15 to 20 days a year for business and I always stay at this hotel when Im in town for their excellent service and accommodating spirit.
Update: I can no longer recommend this property without reservation. Ive stayed here about 20 nights this year between 4 or 5 trips. Each visit gets less impressive. They clearly arent performing necessary maintenance like they should. Every visit I have to change rooms beside the shower is broken, the toilet is broken, the refrigerator doesnt cool, .etc. This last trip I didnt have hot water unless I let the shower run for 10 minutes first. I brought this to the front desks attention, but she quickly blamed less travelers and COVID-19 without taking responsibility. That doesnt make sense because my first room next door had hot water immediately. It had a toilet that was broken, but it had hot water. I cant say how other properties compare in the area because Ive only stayed at this location with the close proximity to my customer location. I probably wouldnt stay here on my own dime until I saw that things have improved because its just not worth what they charge.
Did this hotel lose a star? They exceeded my expectations. I have stayed at many 4 star hotels across the country and this hotel deserves 5 stars. The staff was on point and very hospitable. Their food is amazing. The beds are comfortable and the amenities are amazing. I highly recommend this hotel to all types of guests.
Beautiful hotel very luxurious for a great price.
Enjoy your visit back to the Mid 1980s, at the Master Planned community of Waterford. Formally a Marriott, this hotel is all modern Renaissance inside, and fully updated. The staff is really great, and the rooms are modern, clean and comfortable. The location is close to Pen Square Mall and its very easy to get to most points in the city. Ive stayed here many nights, and will continue to!

I had to book 5 rooms at the last minute for ~15-20 people so I called the Marriott Bonvoy Elite reservation line. Within 10 minutes we had all the rooms booked and good to go. Once we checked in the following day, I couldnt help but be impressed with the hotel. From the nicely updated lobby to the modern and the clean and nicely appointed guest rooms - everything was superlative for the price I paid. The front desk staff were also noteworthy, being both helpful and friendly. Even the bellhop came up to us and gave us waters when we checked-in. When we checked out the young lady who checked us in, Tatianna, was just coming onto her shift and recognized me and inquired about our stay. This hotel is nothing short of spectacular for the price.
Wonderful staff
Enjoyed a one night stay here for leisure. The front desk and food service staff were great, very friendly and helpful. The bar tender was great, very attentive and knowledgeable about drinks, but could have used some help when it got busy. Aside from one elevator being down for upgrades which slowed down getting to and from the rooms, this was a great stay. Clean room, comfortable bed, good food and drinks. We will definitely be back!
I have stayed here several times over the years and the staff is always wonderful! TT in the Club Lounge is fantastic and cares about your comfort! The beds are comfortable and the rooms are nice sized. Im always struck by a slight mold odo in the rooms though - which should be addressed as Ive experienced it in multiple rooms.
Amazing hotel and staff. All the luxuries you can imagine when away from home. Best lounge I’ve experienced! Fitness center is amazing! Love staying here.
The facility is nice and it was a great place to attend a conference. However, the service was just ok. First, I arrived early and anticipated not being able to check in, but received attitude about asking. Then later inquired if other soap options were available because I have a mint allergy and received attitude about asking. Overall, it was fine, just didnt make me feel great, considering the cost.
Customer service is on point. They are friendly, courteous and genuinely nice. Stephanie was extremely helpful and even directed us to a place to eat dinner and she was spot on. The rooms are cozy and modern. The decor is inviting. I will stay here again next time I am in OKC.
We spent Friday night at the Waterford and it was great! Krista at the front desk was very professional and accommodating. Often people act like they are doing you a favor when it is their job (customer service) but that was not the case here. It is a quiet area but very convenient to everything. The grounds are very pretty, the pool is a nice large outdoor heated pool, and the rooms are nice too. The view from the 7th floor was beautiful. We could see the downtown skyline and the capital. Shopping and great restaurants are very close. My stay at the Waterford was so enjoyable that I cant wait to go back again.
We came into town to celebrate Thanksgiving with our families. I woke up on Thanksgiving day with the flu. The staff was so sweet and helpful. Especially Robert with room service. He was genuinely concerned and made my day. Overall, the staff was very friendly and welcoming. Our suite was comfortable and clean. I asked for the linens to be changed after day two in bed. The housekeeper was very kind. Cleaning the bathroom and around the suite as well. We will stay here again.
We had a brief but wonderful stay, we stayed in the executive suite. It was clean, spacious and perfect! Only wish our timing would have been better so we could have visited the executive lounge. The bed was very comfy!
This hotel is sort of an enigma. It is not the elegant, posh hotel it once was when it was first built, but it has great potential. The rooms are very nice, very contemporary and spacious. The lobby is inviting, although a bit “cold”. They cannot seem to keep the elevators in working order for some reason. The restaurant and bar are wonderful- excellent food and great bartenders and waitstaff. We were upgraded to a club lounge room which offers no amenities on a weekend. The lounge is closed on weekends even when the hotel is full. The very best thing is the location, and ease of parking. We stay here a lot for that reason alone.
