I just wanted to share that I contacted AMR and I spoke with a lady in the debt department who was very quick to get me off the phone. Yes she answered my questions however it was like I was inconveniencing her. It is not fair that you have to give them stars. they do not deserve any. Since I have to click one thats all they will get. Knowing that someone is trying to pay off something on their credit report they should be helpful and considerate of the fact that you called. Being in customer service they should be ready to talk with anyone with a smile even if it is not what they want to be doing. I understand sometimes the day may be long however i called still early enough in the day that she should have been happy she has a job!!
Very informative, promptly emailed me the answers to my questions.
I had an account here from a medical bill. I knew I owed it as my insurance did not pay it. Its not this companies fault if your insurance didnt pay, its up to your ins if they pay or not. I made a small payment on the bill as thats all I could afford and a few months later was able to pay in full. I paid on August 7th, 2018. They had reported to my credit but thats what happens when you dont pay your bills! By September it was taken off and my score went up. Also its not up to them how much it dings your credit thats up to the credit agencies. Attached is proof of improvement between August and Sep.
This is a terrible company. The recommend you pay with a credit card, in order to send notice immediately to creditor, which of course cost more money. Then they inform you you must fax a credit card release before they can notify creditor. I told them I do not have access to a fax machine. They then advised me to download a free fax app to fax. Which is free to download, but cost to fax. I asked if I could just email it, but no this company operates as if we are still in the early 90’s. I was later informed that if I don’t send a credit card release, it will take up to 90 days to send notice to the creditor. I was also later informed it would have only take 30 days if I would of paid with my checking account. This company is such a waste of time. I would rate them as a big fat 0 star if I could. Thanks for being such a headache AMR!
Illegal collecting practices! If any of you have received a robocall from these people, it was ILLEGAL!!!If any of you have received a voicemail from these people, it was ILLEGAL!!!Youd think theyd be a little more knowledgeable/careful with collections practices considering theyre a collections law firm??
Hate them
I was reading these comments yesterday and saw all of the poor reviews. I was beginning to become concerned with how my experience would be this morning.I spoke to a rep over the phone about a bill that I totally forgot about that was fixing to be placed in collections but thankfully my Life Lock membership alerted me.The lady I spoke to over the phone was very polite and was more than happy to answer my questions and get all of my billing information updated! I was able to get everything squared away and paid within 5 minutes.
Very helpful
OCCC sold my debt to Account Management Resources; I was called and notified of the debt owed, and I was verbally told that it was due by December 24, 2016, or it would be reported to my credit report. I called on December 23, 2016, and paid off my ~$1,000 debt.Despite this, the debt was still reported on my credit report, and there are no options to have it removed. I have called numerous times with no assistance. It is not right to do business like this.
I was active duty military and was wrongfully charged with a medical bill by a radiology clinic, these guys have been hounding me like blood in shark infested waters. They dont understand that active duty is 100% insured and have ruined my credit score. When Ive explained the situation numerous times they simply say I dont understand, Im just here to collect. Heartless and brainless employees.
Just received a call asking for John, though Im not sure which John, as I have 2 that work for me and have had 2 others that have worked for me in the last year. When I said he was not available and offered my assistance, the caller said No, Im calling for John and hung up. I called her back and asked her why she was so rude? She said I wasnt calling to talk to you and hung up on me again. NEWSFLASH: I OWN this place and NO ONE from CCI will EVER be allowed to contact one of MY employees at work again.
They would call, when i would answer the phone it would be dead on the other line. When i would try to call the number back, the call couldnt be completed as dialed. So for months I had no idea who was calling me. They never left a voicemail. I only found out who it was when they started reporting against my credit for bills I was never told about. They had recent addresses yet refused to use anything but an 3 year outdated address. I paid the bills directly as soon as i found out about them. However since i paid direct instead of through this company, and they said even if i provided a receipt, they would continue to report against my credit!! This company is horrible.
I wish I could give 0 stars. These people are trying to collect on a debt that was an error on Verizon part. Good luck with that. See you in court
More than once, this company has called and asked me to confirm personal information about myself, but will not divulge what the call is in reference to. When I explain that asking for personal information, or the confirmation of personal information, without offering any verifiable reference for the call is how phishing scams work, and that I will not confirm anything for them, they tell me theyre sorry, they cant help me, and hang up.
You guys are the worst. Ive been trying to get ahold of somebody to get this debt cleared. It was done in error on the ambulance service, considering I was covered under medicaid at the time I needed one. Ever since you guys showed up on my credit report, youve been next to impossible to get ahold of. The number and address that shows up on my credit history does not match this, and even the current address and number are difficult to find. When I can actually call a working number, your options are not very clear, and every time Ive gotten someone on the line and its not who I need to speak with, they hang up! And thats if Im lucky to get anybody on the line. You are ruining my credit and ruining my life. This place is holding me back from my dream of serving in the military, BECAUSE YOU CARE MORE ABOUT DESTROYING HISTORY AND MONEY THAN ACTUALLY HELPING PEOPLE PAY OFF DEBTS. This is a serious issue, you all need to get it together, and maybe try to get some humanity back and make it easier for people to reach you!
I called and started payment on a medical bill last month with this company. I have been trying to get a hold of someone for a week now, to see when I need to pay again and/or how to setup an account online. When I call the local number it says my call can not be completed as dialed. When I call the 1-866 number I get a busy signal. There is not an email for to contact anyone regarding payment, just staffing and marketing for people who want to be blood sucking leaches for a living. So I figured I would at least email HR and inform them that their employees are really lacking in the service department. This company does not make it easy for someone to pay off there old debt. I will be contacting the credit bureau and OU Medical who sold them my bill and inform them of Account Mgmt. Resources lack of service. It is pretty sad that people actually trying to pay off old debt (in my case a medical bill from being submitted to the ICU for 5 days after almost dying) dont have better access to actually make that payments. But then again, why would they want to make it easy, that is what their business thrives on, right?! Im late on a payment with them, because I cant even get a hold of anyone to pay it and they can jump for joy at the chance to ruin someones credit again. AMR employees are really living the dream.
I had a bill sent here during a dispute with a doctors office. I received one notice, resolved the issue and paid the doctor all within a week. The bill was paid March 9th. Today, June 14th, I get a call from AMR letting me know they trashed my credit report on May 31st! Someone didnt report or mark the account as paid and their mistake turned into a false report to the credit agency. To their credit they did a reversal for me after the Doctors office confirmed, and they were professional about it, but as I have suggested to 3 levels of their management now: They should have sent a second/final notice that if it wasnt paid my credit report would be affected. If I would have seen that, I would have been given the chance to alert them to THEIR mistake before they trashed my credit. They told me their lawyers probably wouldnt allow this, so then I suggested: CHECK WITH THE DOCTORS OFFICE before you take steps to ruin my credit. MAKE SURE THIS IS STILL AN ACTUAL DEBT BEFORE YOU REPORT FALSE INFORMATION TO MY CREDIT REPORT. I have made both of these suggestions to them, and hopefully they will take the simple extra step going forward, but everyone I talked to seems extremely hesitant to do so. In the mean time, if you are a doctors office looking for a collection agent, I hope you will consider how this company treats your patients: They refuse the common courtesy to make sure the information they report to the credit agencies is correct. Shoot first ask questions later! Bottom line: These guys reported false information to the credit bureau about me that could have been prevented by taking either one of the steps above. If they are given the authority to affect my credit then they need to take the responsibility to make sure their information is accurate.
The number was on my caller ID so I called it back to see who it was, they said it is an attempt to collect a debt regarding medical. I asked them who they represent, stating that medical is a broad term, they said it depends, they represent a number of companies, and I would have to verify my information. I told them I cannot verify my personal information if they do not tell me what the debt is regarding, and they insist on information and I hang up.
They call and try to collect on a debt I had paid 6 years ago. At the time I was a minor so they should be calling my parents not me anyway as I wasnt the one paying. When I told them I called the actual place and had no debts there they hung up on me. Very rude.
They have called and left voicemails for other people I have asked them to stop calling I would get a cease and desist order and the calls stopped for a week and right back at it
Very rude!
