My wifes father passed two years ago. Novad owned the reverse mortgage process. DO NOT EVER work with this company. They have been silent for a year and a half and the home STILL remains in limbo. They do not answer their phones. They will differ you to HUD who will say NOVAD has all the paperwork. TWO YEARS. Worse company Ive ever worked with.
WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!! Dont even deserve a 1. However their salespeople on the bottom of the totem pole deserve 10+ because they certainly do their best at keeping their cool, following a prescribed answer and are kind, when Im at my wits end wanting to pull their hair out. Reverse Mortgage is a scam for the elderly and offer NO HELP OR SUPPORT to the family members who are left to deal with it!! So frustrated.
These people are crooks to start with. My aunt and uncle had a reverse mortgage and when they passed we told them take the home. They informed us we needed to keep up with the taxes and insurances until they take the home. We find out now we werent legally responsible for anything since the home was not ours. I have called dozens of times to ask when they were taking the home and all I get is they will have someone call me. This is 6 months now and we have stopped paying any and all bills. Let them worry about a lien if taxes arent paid. The sate of Oklahoma should investigate and shut down this place.
Called to see if they received sum documents. The customer rep was nice but no interpersonal skill and friendliness. It seemed like they were less rushed off the phone and kept repeating themselves if you dont want a bad review maybe the company needs to teach their employees how to be more friendlier in care about their customers
This is by far one of the worst experiences I have encountered. The people are rude, they do not return calls, one does not know what the other is doing. I have been working on an issue since April, only to continue to get the run around. I am dealing with something that my 94 yr old mother gave in writing and verbal access for me to do, yet they insist that they need to speak with my mother, who is on dialysis and not available when I can be there and they are not open when i am able to be there. Then you set up something with them and they dont follow through. I am going to call or write anyone I can about this miserable company. I am also going to 7 on your side to have them investigate why I am still working on this suppose to be simply process.!!!! I gave them the less I could. It should be no stars.
Company could save money utilizing an automated answering machine as that is all the live persons at the listed contact number are. Always will be contacted in 3-4 days, never a true answer. Most overworked and underperforming of government contractors.
Let me tell you about the company called Novad out of Oklahoma City, OK. This company purchased my mothers reverse mtg, which she had signed for years earlier. From that point of purchase on, we have had nothing but troubles and non-response from Novad. Each time we called - and calls were numerous - we NEVER received a return call - NEVER. No customer service or caring whatsoever. My mother passed away over 2 years ago. The house has sat and sat and sat, following numerous calls to them. NEVER a return call. My family winterized, mowed and removed snow, continuing to this day. This 70 year old family home continues to deteriorate - no caring, no response, NOTHING. If you are smart you will never deal with such a useless, ghost company. Take warning!
Customer service reps hang up on you when you are trying to understand the odd way they run the customer service dept. The customer service dept is NOT cust service. It’s a call center. All they do is open a ticket and you are forced to wait for a call back. Elderly people get confused very easily and this run around is no way to treat seniors. Awful.

This company should be reported to the state of Oklahoma. I will gladly put in the time and effort while awaiting my next flight. They are holding insurance checks that require endorsements. We sent them off 2 day mail and the reps continue to hang up or claim that No Specialists are available. The fact that they are given a business license is a travesty.
This i on my list of the worst companies i have ever had to deal. the reps know very little or are not properly trained. their record s are not up to date and their letters to customers are not requests for information, but threats to force. I am complaining to HUD. I have no faith this will do any good. I am trying to get a new company to service my account.

Horrible place to work and do business with! Very hostile work environment. Employees treated very poorly. I was wrongfully terminated and trapped in a room while having a panic attack, not allowed to leave the room. There is embezzlement going on and the management is extremely unprofessional. Place needs to be shut down.
I feel sorry for the rare competent employees that have had to overcome the obtuse boobery of this companys service department. I feel that if there was a deliberate effort to not help customers, they couldnt do a better job. I see reviewrs complaining about 60 days or 6 months...I have been trying for 2 years to just take the house to satisfy my deceased fathers debt. Send us this, fax us that, we dont have any record of his death, electrnic signatures are unacceptable, no call backs, no emails, no respose from Contact Us...on and on and on. I just hope to God nothing happens to the property before this nightmare is resolved.
Wish we could give them a negative rating. Weve been round and round with these people for two years now - TWO YEARS - the house has set empty, with the utilities (as they told us to do) turned off. Novad is a disgrace. As Federal contract company, they should be investigated.
Managment is unprofessional, owner not involved, staff is not properly trained and good staff treated poorly until pushed out or fired sometimes unfairly. HUD needs to do better next contractor.
This company must be owned by the government, I have been trying to return a property owned by my family for over 60 days now. One person says turn off all the gas, electric and water- I tell them that will kill the plants and the pool..next person says do not do that..I think this firm is a division of the IRS...No wonder the government is in such sad shape, they are going up side down on this home $3,500 per month..
Horrible typical government affiliated agency. Has taken over 8 months now to process paperwork and no one can give answers or any kind of help over the phone.
The customer service is a joke dont even try to talk with these people. You will never get a call back and IF they do call you back they attempt pressure tactics to make you do what they want done and 90% of the time they are wrong about what is being requested.
Just horrible customer service skills. Get routed to voicemail and the calls never get returned.

Rude people cant wait to get you off the phone, directed and redirected. HUD is charging me over $1,200 for a modification I got, rip off! Thought they were supposed to help, not give you more headaches. They DO NOT have good customer relations.
