My parents used him to auction off a very large estate. He is one of the most dishonest and misleading people who leads you to believe he is a strong Christian with prayer and praise. Unfortunately it could not be any more misleading and further from the truth. He is all about trying to find ways to better himself and screw his clients. Please be aware that he will not follow through or do anything he promises. People like this really get on my nerves and must be called out. Time and circumstances will catch up with him if he doesnt change his ways.

Only use them if you want to be screwed over and disappointed. He acts like he is religious but he lies through his teeth. He actually pretend to pray before his auction. A cheater, a lier, a cone man. Only use if you enjoy being cheated and lied to.

The worst auctioneers ever. Louis Dakil is a smooth talker and will over promise and not deliver. They say one thing and do another. Don’t use this auction. If you’re selling, not a good idea. If you’re buying, you might get a good deal but beware of pressure buying.

I participated in an oil and gas auction they held. I bought some stuff, but truly wish that I had not, the closing process and really everything else was not very efficient. I will stick to buying oil and gas assets through a platform that actually focuses on that type of asset and the understands the expectations of the buyers in that market.

I had an overall pleasurable experience today at a Dakil auction. The auctioneers were very professional, did their best to keep things going, and were patient when a bidder did not understand the terms of a bid. Mr. Dakil seemed especially nice. The gentleman calling out the lot descriptions seemed a little out of sorts at times though. On the negative side, at the site of the lot inspections there were two individuals working who were singularly rude and took the fun out of the day. When I twice asked the lady a question about the whereabouts of certain lot numbers, she didnt respond. That was rude. Then there was a wind-up toy that I was gently testing to see if it still worked. That makes a huge difference in the value of the item. I hear, Would you put that down? I looked up and saw the man looking sternly at me like I was a little kid or something (?) First of all you should be able to test a wind-up toy. Secondly, you could say:1) Im sorry,Sir. Its required that I show that to you. May I demonstrate?OR2) I know its weird. But I have been instructed not to let prospective buyers wind up the toys.OR AT THE VERY LEAST...3) SIR, would you kindly not wind up the toy? Im afraid the mechanism might not be able to handle the wear, and we need to preserve its integrityfor todays auction. Thanks. (Then smile.)

I think that the demand of $1000 deposit for $60 item is very are responsible. Ive been using proxy bid for better than 10 years and never been forced to place a deposit of more than $100 on any auction. If this company is so afraid of their customers to demand $1000 deposit maybe they should get out of the businessR.C.H.

I have purchased a few properties, and a lot of other items from this auction. I have been very happy with the staff, the auctioneer, and the process. They are able to assemble a larger crowd of buyers, consistently, than any auction house I have ever been to.

We bought a car from them. They let us start it and drive it around the parking lot before the sale. There were no check engine lights at that time. After it was purchased, on the way home the dash lit up like a Christmas tree, with 5 warnings. We took it to a mechanic who cleared the codes, and they came back after a short drive, so it was apparent that someone had cleared the codes prior to the sale so that prospective buyers would not see them. Had we seen them we would not have paid what we did for the car.

DO NOT USE THEM!! Louis Dakil is a fast talker you must beware of! He makes promises and DOES NOT DELIVER!I held an auction with Dakil who netted me 10% of what he promised. They took out more than the initial agreement with marketing fees and basically stole money from me.You have been warned!Blake

A Great experience, all around! It was my first time, ever using an auction service.I auctioned my 2 hotrod cars, and everything went just fine. They took care of all the advertising and fine detailsthat were involved for this auction.I personally attended the auction and I swear, there must have been over200 people there, and thats not including the people who werebidding online, (and there were alot of those as well).Dakil Auctions, took dozensof photos of my cars and put them on their web siteand other advertisments that they use for each auction event. They also put both cars front and center on the lot, so that people couldlook and start the motors. When the auction started, they even had a big screen monitor, so thateveryone could see huge images of the items being sold, as they wereauctioned in sequence. Both of my items were sold quickly, and I got a good price.Best of all, they paid me on time, just like they said they would.I plan on attending one of their real estate auctions in the near future.last year, I tried to sell the cars myself and didnt have much luck.Im glad that tried something new and different this time. Thanks for a great job.

Disappointed by amount the auction generated. Mostly unhappy with the non disclosure in advance of more than 5,000.00 in promotional and advertising expense added to their sales commission. would have opted to sell on my own if all was disclosed in advance.

If youre thinking about buying or selling through this place, just say no; Hard Pass. As a buyer: The descriptions are terrible, They dont even know half of the time what it is they are auctioning(If you dont believe me, listen for their pronunciations and descriptions.), 15% buyers premium(internet), Sometimes they let the person bidding in person win it over the internet bidder for cheaper(even on a pre-bid) (They say there is nothing they can do about it because it goes so fast) Which is bad for the buyer and the seller, the buyer cant keep up from listing to listing, x5, x8 x15, must buy at least this many, must buy them all, they lot too many things together. When told about easily fixed mistakes as a buyer or seller, they dont fix them. Ex: I asked them to post the pick up times on their website for an auction, they didnt do it.As a seller: Pause about 15 to 30 seconds between items, tell people what they are bidding on, a brief description at least, ex: tire sizes, brand name, model name/number, ect.I have sold with them more than once and bought more than once; Do what you want but, I will never use them again. They are either lazy(especially with pictures, picture quality, spelling, descriptions), dont care(rushing through 1000+ lots in 8 hours)(thats less than 30 seconds per item with no downtime), incompetent or deliberately misleading. Either way, I dont care to do business this way.Its nothing personal, they used to be a pretty good auction house but, not any more.
