My family and I have gone to Casa Castillo for years. Never had an issue before, besides this year. My Identity was stolen, along with everyone else that went there this year. I was notified by my relative that went there to get their taxes done (not by Casa Castillo), that their identity was stolen. By this time, they were already 3 weeks waiting for their refund. I 4 weeks out. I called Casa Castillo to ask if their was an issue and they said I was “next on the list to call”. I thought it was extremely unprofessional that they didn’t not reach out sooner let alone send an email out to notify all their clients (which they have sent previous newsletters in the past). I then had to pick up my paper form taxes and mail it in myself. I don’t know why They couldn’t just mail it in for me. They least they could of done was provide me with postage after paying $150 to get my taxes done. It has been 4 months + and I am still struggling with verifying my identity with the IRS. It has been a nightmare. Casa Castillo tried to blame the IRS but when speaking with the IRS, they informed me that where I went to get my taxes done, they’re systems where hacked. I have not been refunded by casa Castillo nor felt like they had any type of sympathy for their terrible services. Save your money, your frustration, and your time. Go somewhere else.

Casa Castillo is a great place to do taxes they take there time and explain everything to you i worked with Flor and she was really helpful with everything.

Only giving a two star due to Flor helping me out and understanding this dilemma of mine.......But do not do business with them AT ALL. Aside from them filing paperwork for a close relative of mine and doing such a poor job that they almost got him deported due to an error on their part..My portion is is that y asked them to translate a birth certificate of mine to spanish as i needed one done so i could be married in Mexico. Which they did do a decent job on translating it but it did not have the border line frame on my original birth certificate from California.. which they didnt tell me before hand that they did not have.. so i asked the Rep if she was sure it would be accepted and she stated yes it would be. Im currently in Mexico as im writing this awaiting my original birth certificate my sister had to mail to me. Very dangerous as well to send one through mail.. but, i called casa Castillo and talked to the rep that translated it for me and she was upset that i asked for a refund to the point where she put me on hold so she could talk to her manager.... knowing damn well she wouldnt answer her phone because she was busy.. as to say she hung up on me without actually hanging up... so, i was transferred to Flor... luckily i was able to have a full professional conversation with her and was able to explain that i wasnt in the know about the procedures here in Mexico so it was partly my mistake.. just wanted them to be aware that if their rep isnt fully in the know about procedures, to say she/he is not certain it would work and or be accepted..... i would certainly reccomend someone else at this point. Or if at best contact Flor. And she can explain everything you need to know.

The places customer service is absolute garbage, and they favor you more if you only speak spanish. As a person who knows minimal spanish, I went in and 4 customers came in and got served when i was told to wait. Horrible horrible customer service amd walk ins.

I wouldn’t ever recommend this place to a family member. They are very poor in customer service I feel like they don’t care.
