Went two separate times. Two years apart. Service is terrible. First time they didnt fix what they said they could wiith two cylinder misfire charged me the price to fix it. Second time they held my car hostage for a radiator for 5 days. I ended up taking my car to another business. Dont waste your time or money here. I gave it a reasonable two time chance. Failed twice.

These guys are some really honest and reasonably priced mechanics. They went the extra mile to answer the questions I had about my vehicle and called me back with that answer. I can definitely tell why theyre so popular.

If I could give a negative I would definitely do so. Weve had work done here for years and so has my boss and my husbands employer. Weve had our truck in there with a stem issue on multiple occasions and they cant fix it. Today i had a tire that was three weeks old blow on the highway they claimed I had drove on the tire too far with it low-how do you do that?? Your car tells you immediately when its low pressure-we pulled over the minute we knew there was an issue-before the car even knew. They refused to warranty the tire-NEVER do business here. They dont make things right when they go wrong. Lisa

My vehicle had a manufactured part failure covered by Warranty. Mechanics helped me understand the process and steps to get warranty approved. Initially, I brought car in because it was misfiring and had an Engine light displayed. The mechanics had my best interest in mind which gave me the trust and faith my vehicle was in the right hands. Weve been to Smittys Tires & Service over 20 times for services on our vehicles (e.g., inspections, emissions, registrations, tire repairs, oil changes, etc.). Usually Ive paid between $70-$80 for an oil change with Amsoil Full Synthetic. This time it cost me $93.25. I found the extra $16 charge, for a 6th extra quarter of oil, dishonest and disappointing. They were not transparent or consistent with their transaction. Personally, Id go buy my own oil and filter, and pay the $15 to have it replaced.

Great service. My wife and I came from Idaho and was staying in the hotel next door. We had some shaking in the front end on the trip down. Stopped by and asked about it.. All it need was to have the tires balanced. Less than $25 and we were back on the road. They also worked with us on making sure it was done before we had to be out of our hotel room. Great service. If Im ever in the area and need tire work. Id go back for sure.

Let me be again by saying I gave smittys two stars because I had taken my vehicle to them in the past and had good service. My latest experience with smittys was anything but good I brought my vehicle in for a tire change and asked them to check a squealing noise coming from my brakes. I recently replaced my front brake pads and rotors and I was sure to let them know of that they came back and told me that the squeaking noise was coming from the rear brakes. I told him to go ahead and replace the rear brake shoes. After several hours I had to call them to check on the status of my vehicle and was told that in the process of replacing the rear brake shoes and bleeding the brakes they had broken one of my bleeder valves and are now telling me that I had to replace the whole brake caliper. I went in and spoke with the owner and service manager and explain to them that while I understand they didnt break this on purpose I felt like the responsibility of replacing the part should not fall all on me if you broke the part why should I have to then eat the whole cost of replacing it with a new part. The service manager said that he could help me out he then took me back into his office and showed me what he could get a new brake caliper for and then what theyre asking price was the markup was ridiculous. Smittys took the stance of yes we broke the part but how could we have known it was going to break and now because we broke something youre going to have to buy a new part. And not only will we Mark the price up for what you would buy the part from us at but then we would try to tell you that we are helping you out. In my opinion this is taking advantage of their customers if you break the part what you should have done was given me your cost for replacing the part dont break a part and then Mark up your price on the cost of that part to make additional money off me. If you broke it the honest thing to do would be to say yes we broke it we cant give you a brand new part for free but what we can do is give you that part at our cost. Needless to say I wont be going back to smittys in the future I did have good luck with them before this happened but Ive learned my lesson once shops Burn you they will just do it again. On a side note while I was waiting for my vehicle to be done i witnessed one of their mechanics back a vehicle into the dumpster scratching and damaging this persons bumper I watched to see if the mechanic would go back inside and Report what he had done. Nothing was said to anyone in management and I doubt that they would have told the people anyway. I would consider some other locations over smittys they had done good work in the past but based on the Integrity of their management and employees that I have personally seen they will no longer be getting any of my business.

My first visit was for a safety inspection (no longer needed in Utah) about 3-4 years ago. My newly purchased 1993 Toyota 4Runner was Failed because the Windshield Wipers were Worn, did not squirt washer fluid to the windshield, and a bad tail light bulb. WOW! Brought the truck to Tony Divino Toyota for a scheduled recall and they were nice enough to fix the clogged windshield washer (no charge) without me even asking! A $1.29 taillight bulb, some new wipers, and ten minutes of my time took care of the rest.My second visit was for a set of (new) tires to be mounted and balanced. I called for a price prior and had the service done. Good Experience, Good Price.Third visit was for another set of (new) tires to be mounted and balanced. Called for price, and when I picked them up, the cost was higher than the price I was quoted over the phone (and the cost of my second visit). I would give them 2.5 stars if I could, because I may, or may not be back.

On a 1200 mile move across the country, my car developed a tire problem right around Ogden, UT. The people at this shop were friendly, efficient, informative, and honest. If I lived in the area, they would be my mechanic. No question. They would also be my recommendation to all my family members.

Would recommend this place to anyone. My car was recently having problems and I could not figure out what was wrong. After trying everything I decided to drop the car off at Smittys. The service tech was completely honest and told me what exactly was wrong with the car without pushing to have it fixed. I would give this shop more that 5 stars if I could!

We miss Firestone and miss the great services they offered to all of their customers. I found this new place near my home, at first I was glad that they could provide the services we used to get at Firestone. Unfortunately, my daughter took the car today. Her check engine light came on yesterday. I called Smittys to find out what the problem was and what we need to fix. They are such idiots, that they did not bother to check the light, why was it on and what we needed to fix. Not the best place if they cant even catch the obvious. The employee stated that next time they could provide better service. There is no next time, we have 3 cars and we need to find a place like Firetone, an honest and great staff.

Smitty’s has always been my “go to” place for the last 5 years, but ever since Roger has taken over I’ve felt lied to and taken advantage of. Recently I sent my wife in there to get a flat fixed for one tire and next thing you know, Brandon, the owner’s son decided to make an “executive decision” to replace all tires leaving us with an $800 bill.Also took my 05 Sequoia there to have my ring and pinion replaced in the rear dif. They took it all apart and told me my calibers had brake fluid all over them and also needed to replace my brakes, rotors, and calibers. Quoted me $1900. I couldn’t afford it so I called around and ended up taking it to Carpenter auto were I was told there’s nothing wrong with my brakes and I was out the door at $1350. I will no longer be taking my vehicles there.

This is my go to place for most car stuff. They are very honest with me and dont try to up sell me on anything. Some stuff they have even done free of charge. Staff is always friendly and the wait time and price are both reasonable. Mostly I just like have a car place that doesnt try to rip me off and these guys are great.

Smittys has always taken such good care of our cars. I have been going there for 10 years and they have had SO MANY opportunities to sell me things that I didnt need, but never do. They have always been honest with me about repairs and maintenance needed, which is so important to me!

I bought my current tires a year ago from a big store. Recently my check tire pressure light came on so I went back to the big store to have it checked and was told nothing was wrong. 3 days later the light came back on --so back I went. I was then told that I had a nail in my tire and its too close to the side wall to repair--AND that I couldnt buy just 1 tire, but I would need to replace ALL 4 for a cost of $770.WTH??I came to Smittys for a second opinion and told them what happened. They checked my tire and told me yes you have a nail in it, the other place even marked where it was, but its no where close to the side wall and its a $16.00 repair. !!!They are great here. Ive also had my brakes redone and a belt replaced because I know they are honest, trustworthy, and listening to their interactions with customers--they really do get to know them and care.Thank You Smittys!!!!

Smittys was great. My wife got a flat going down Weber Canyon and conveniently Smittys was down by where her tire went flat. She went in and they put the spare on for free no questions asked. They recommended 3 different tires and an out the door price. No pressure to buy just being really helpful and letting us know the price range. Smittys wasnt kidding. The price they quoted was to the penny and it comes with free balancing and rotations for the life of the tire. By far the best tire service that I have ever dealt with and they will get my business from now on. Thanks guys!

Ive never had a problem with this shop until recently. Told me I needed new head gaskets, turns out they were fine. Then I had my car in for an oil change, and the oil got over filled. I knew my valve cover gaskets were going, but that polished them off. Now Ive got a steady drip of oil from both valve covers. I trusted this shop, but I dunno if they hired a new guy, or what the deal is. Either way, Im just disappointed. I like the guys at this shop, but the game seems to have changed.

Best shop in town! I have been driving from Kaysville to get all of my cars serviced here since they opened. I literally pass several shops that could do the same thing but I know Im going to get the best service and best price from these guys. Worst customer service I have ever experienced. I took my car to Smittys in June of 2018. They replaced the front wheel bearings and hubs. About a year later my car started making a strange noise so I took it in. I had moved and unfortunately was not near Smittys otherwise I would have taken my car to them. The mechanic at the new shop said my wheel bearings were going out on the front tires again. I asked if they should last longer than a year and he said yes. I went into Smittys and asked them about it and even had paperwork and they said that sometimes they dont last that long and when asked if they could refund me some of my money they said no. I will NEVER ever go to this mechanic shop again. I dont believe they did the work right and I had to pay for the same problem again only a year later in June of 2019. If I could give a 0/5 I would!

Will not take advantage of ignorance! Ive been to car places that would jack up the price up hundreds of dollars for things that didnt even need to be fixed. Smittys will do what you want, and what you need for a VERY fair price. Very clean, has nice employees, just a great place to go! HIGHLY recommend them!

Great place to get your oil changed. They change your oil very promptly. They do a great job.

Bad bad service.Took my daughters car in and said I need oil change, diagnostics, check the filters, and tune-up. I trusted them to tell me what needed to be done and fix it since my daughter will be relying on car for college.$384 bill. Included a $179 tune up, 129.95 for an Intake Fuel Service (some kind of a solvent to clean top end of engine) and an oil change.Next day wife and I took the car for a test drive, before giving it to daughter. Cut out on freeway but would start up again.I had a day off so pulled the MAS (air-fuel sensor) and oh my what a dirty air filter. Couldnt believe it. Took the filter down to Smittys and asked if it should have been replaced they said yes it was dirty. Then they said it wasnt included in the tune up. Couldnt believe it! What kind of shop does a full diagnostics on a car and doesnt change a dirty air filter? Or bother to tell the customer about it.I know it is hard to find a good mechanic. I need to trust a mechanic with four cars for wife and two daughters, their lives depend on it. I wont go back to Smittys they lost my trust. Shame on you Smittys.
