I wasnt notified of a service in time to leave a gate unlocked. Now I cant get an answer to schedule it.....long phone waits, left my number for return call, they dont call. Have been a chat list for a while. If they cant answer a customers call, them I am about to cancel any further services...as of today the aeration service has not been done, was scheduled yesterday and moved to today, see on my ap that is could not be done. I have left a gate open both days. I paid for front and back yard. If the back yard isnt going to happen, I need a refund and definitely want to cancel the next one. I have been on hold for nearly 20 minutes. Chat isnt any better. Doesnt matter whether I call the 800 number or your local number....
I have two services with Tru Green. One is their normal lawn treatment, which works pretty well save for the time I had to remind them to come back and do the side yard. I added the mosquito treatment last week, and that has been an absolute train wreck. They treated the wrong house. Again- they went to the wrong house, and it isnt possible to get to an actual human to help me fix the problem. I know they went to the wrong house, because they didnt leave their normal note on my door nor sign in my yard. I got to meet a new neighbor, though, because the woman who lives two blocks down with the same two last digits in her address got paperwork thanking me for my business, and they left signs that they had treated that yard. She called, waited half an hour, got somebody on the line, that TruGreen rep noted the issue, and then said I would have to call. I did, waited a half hour, and couldnt get through to anyone. I sent in an email, a customer service form, and an online review all to no avail. Dear TruGreen person who eventually reads this, please dont tell me to repeat those steps. I already tried it. I am posting under my real name, so you should be able to find me. I eventually got into an automated chat with a representative who said they would send someone to fix it and... nothing happened. I tried to call today again and couldnt get through. I would really like the mosquito treatment for which I paid, please and thank you. Ideally, that will come with some sort of an apology and a way to actually get through to an actual human who will help me solve my problem.
Today is the 5th time in a row that Tru Green has said they will show up and have not. Do NOT trust this company. We finally asked that they knock on the door so we can see what they are doing as there were 2 times, they sent a text message that stated they had serviced our lawn. I work from home with windows facing the front of our home. Both times, they did not show up. Not only that, if they had shown up they would have left the ticket stating they treated the lawn. When they do treat, it is a few minutes and not based on what is going on with your lawn. When you call, Press 1 for new service, they pick up in less than minute. When you press 2 for existing customers, it takes at least 30-40 minutes for them to answer - does not matter day/time of day/etc. and then the reps tell you they are sorry and they will definitely take care of it. Except we are on our 5th cancellation. The rep also said, the technician can cancel for whatever reason. So, the jist is, pay for whatever they decide to do for your lawn but if you expect them to actually do something for the 130 they charge then dont expect them to show up. Also, after 1.2 years of our lawn being treated, ask me for pictures and youll see how awesome they are.
I want to express my disappointment of the service I received 04/01/2021. If this was a April Fools prank. You got me. The quality of Aeration job I received. Was embarrassing and horrible. We have been looking forward to have the yard being aerated and excited for the change. But what we got was disappointing very little aeration if any through the entire yard. The tech was at my home for 20 minutes. Not enough time to complete my entire yard. Please give me back my hard earn money.
I chose to go with tru green because I thought I was going to get the personal care they speak of on their website. I was having a bad weed problem in my backyard. They come out and spray fertilizer on my front yard only. On their site they state they test soil that is far from truth because if this was true they would have quickly learned I had fake grass in my front yard. They didnt even read what I had put services for. I asked for my back yard to be treated and he never went back to my back yard. They were at my house for 6 minutes sprayed my front fake grass lawn and left and never issued me a refund when asked. So had to spend money for them to fertilize fake grass !! 🙄
Trugreen is a true fraud. I cannot believe a company that is so well known can provide such mediocre service. These people will find all kinds of excuses not to show up, and when they do show up they do a bad job or they just stick a flag on the ground to notify home owner that they came by without doing anything. This company is a joke and a disgrace.
I scheduled Mosquito Defense 5 times and the technician either didn’t show or decided they didn’t want to do their job.

My lawn started dying and the technician did nothing. When I asked if he noticed, he said you need to call a manager. I tried several times and it took nearly 3 weeks. Finally a manager called and said he was having the tech apply more chemicals. I asked the manager to follow up to see if the problem is getting better and he said I would need to call him. Meanwhile I have had to spend tons on water to try to get the dead spots to regrow. I also have to deal with my dogs tracking in dirt and mud. What a joke!!!
We have been loyal customers for three years. The first year was wonderful, second mediocre, this year...our yard is invaded with weeds again. We have called in regards to our dissatisfaction and lack of fertilization (which we were charged for) only to have them send someone out to walk around with a weed killer spray for ten minutes tops and then he sat in his truck in front of the house for about 15 minutes. We are exploring other options unfortunately because weve gone from having a beautiful lawn to a weed filled lawn. Very discouraging.
3 years and still have tons of weeds. And getting worse. They take your money and do not care at all about service. Waste of money.
The people that come to treat are hit or miss. Some are nice, some rude.

Service call “unscheduled” for no reason. Sprayed for crab grass... not effective ... yard looks like an invasion of crabgrass. Called... no one can explain why was “unscheduled”... no supervisor is ever available... one says there is no notes... one says there is notes...paid for year in advance and suppose to rec treatment every 4-6 weeks. Been 3 months since last treatment. Still waiting for second treatment... say be yourself time heartache and money ... one bad decision I won’t be making again
An older gentleman from trugreen has spent the day soliciting our neighborhood in Odessa. He has been rude to every neighbor I have spoken to. Not only is is extremely unprofessional to go around soliciting in a pandemic where people are trying to isolate, but he insulted multiple of our lawns and other people’s finances when they said the service was not in their budget right now. It is a poor choice for this company to have someone with such a sour attitude attempting to find new clients.
Never had a problem with service just high for monthly one tie service.
Corey is an outstanding asset to your business. He is always thorough and very pleasant. Corey has even answered my question when he was at my neighbors house. The neighbors were so pleased with my lawn, I referred them to your business, as long as they only had Corey.
We have 2 services with True Green, one is mosquito defence & the other is weed controller. Very happy with both!

Disappointing. I had to call and fire them today, because I could never get anyone from the local office to call me. After a year of their service, I had concerns about some thin/bare spots still in my lawn. I wanted to talk to an actual lawn care expert face-to-face and see what they thought we could do about the problem areas. Made several attempts to get someone to set an appointment with me and was promised several times that someone would call. They never did. Their techs would show up like lawn-care ninjas when we werent home and leave a sorry we missed you note on the door explaining that they had sprayed some random weed control chemicals on our lawn. We dont have a problem with weeds any more, so I am satisfied with that part, but the fact that I could not get them to respond to my other concerns was the deal-breaker. Its really a shame. I gave them ample opportunity to keep my business, but I think they only want the easy stuff. Sorry, Trugreen. From now on Ill give my money to someone else who actually cares about customer satisfaction.
Technician didn’t show up. He said he was unable to perform the scheduled service because our gate was locked. Our gate WAS NOT LOCKED. I intentionally left gate open because I knew they were scheduled AND I had put our 6 dogs in the house in preparation. I’m really considering canceling all of my services (4 in total)with them. I really can’t tell they are doing that much good anyways. Extremely disappointed.
I have had a TruGreen for six months now. The techs that come out Have done a good job they do what they are supposed to do. On the other hand the call center that you have to call failed to tell you that you only get a call from the local office24 hours in advance. I don’t know what it is that they use for the lawn but in six months it has not worked on my lawn. I live in West Texas and I got Trugreen mainly for weeds and burrs. To my dismay I still have weeds and burrs. I am sad to say I will no longer be paying for a service that cannot take care of my needs in lawn care.
If I could leave them 0 Stars I would. We have been trying to get them out for over three weeks now with the promises of, “be there by Monday”, “sorry,be there on Tuesday”, “can’t be there now until next week” and we have to call them after they never show. Very poor management- funny how they want you to pay all this money up front but can’t deliver their “great service” they promise.
I set up a year plan to get my yard looking good, they came twice, and my yard was takin over with weeds, called for a retreat, had is scheduled, they never showed, called to find out why, they said I was never scheduled, they scheduled me again, and they never showed. I called again, to cancel, they begged me to give them another chance, so I did. They scheduled another retreat, plus one 2 weeks after, and I eve again they never showed, I called they couldn’t find a manager to get this fixed, one was not available, they said they would leave a message for one to call me. Here we are 2 days later and still haven’t heard from them. So I canceled. They are not consistent with anything and would never recommend them to anyone for any service.
An outstanding service... And results!!! I wish I could answer this but I am almost never home when he comes. He leaves a message in the door. But my lawn is healthy and beautiful. That speaks for itself! 😊
I like that the technician will explain what they are doing to my lawn and how I can help the treatment do its best to work. If Im not home they will still do the service and leave me a message as to what to do to help the treatment work. I also like how they do not force treatments on me. They will call or speak in person and suggest something for me and if I say no they will take it and respect my decision. They wont continue talking for ten minutes about how I need it for this or that.
The new management team is excellent. Service problems in the past but Truegreen is doing a great job now. I would recommend their service to family and friends nowThanks for the improvements

There doing a great kid so far. Reason for 3 stars still have have a healthy crop of sand burs . This was the reason for services.
My specialist allways acts in a professional and friendly manner. He explains what application he is applying and what results are expected. My lawn looks great compared to the neighbors around me who do not apply weed killer or fertilizer.

I have been pleased with Tru Green our lawn does real well -we had problems with grub worms but after we got it treated our lawn is doing better. The specialist that treat the lawn has always been nice. We have used TruGreen for about 5 years and we have been pleased!
Our lawn was the envy of all neighbors with compliments coming left and right. Our specialists were there when they should they would be there and helped keep our lawn well manicured throughout the summer!

They are over fertilizing my yard and I have called repeatedly for them to halt services until they send a manager to inspect and repair. they keep putting fertilizer. it was beautiful grass last year and now its yellow and struggling.
I was impressed with the latest TruGreen specialist because not only did we get a call the day before the scheduled service, the technician called the morning of the service to let me know he was on his way and that we were his first scheduled appointment. I really appreciated this as we never know when to put our dogs in the house, whether the service will be in the morning or the afternoon. We have fought with TruGreen over this because our dogs are outside dogs and my husband or I have to leave work and go let them out at lunch or check to see if TruGreen has come or not to see if they can be let outside or not. So, by the technician calling this time, it was a huge relief to know we could let the dogs out at lunch and not worry about them the rest of the day being in the house.
Weve had Tru Green come out for over a year now and our lawn has really been improving!
TERRIBLE SERVICE!!!I called TruGreen a while ago, and I decided to become a returning customer of theirs, after millions of calls from them and promises that they had new management and had it together now. Even though I had a bad experience with them years ago, I decided to give them another try,and boy do I regret it! They scheduled to come do a treatment on my yard, and it was never done on that particular day. They rescheduled without even calling to let me know about it. When I called to see why they didnt show, the guy I spoke to on the phone told me that if I would have called a month ago they could have given me better service, but I was late. I told the guy that if I was so late scheduling my first service with them in March, instead of February, then to go ahead and remove me off of their schedule if they did not think that they could do a good job for my yard. Long story short, I decided just to cancel with them all together. They were already starting off on the wrong track and I did not have time for that! Save yourself the headache and go with someone else.
They charged me for an aeration but never told me that was extra. I was supposed to get an introductory price of $30 which turned into 80. They are giving me back 50 but wouldnt deduct the $180 for the aeration even though they never told me it was extra. They are deceptive and I would watch it if you decide to use them. Oh and BTW....the treatment didnt kill my weeds so I paid $210 for nothing!
Worst experience ever. Once I FINALLY got them to my house, they did the work they were supposed to. After that they cancelled 5 TIMES, saying that they couldnt find the address. Even after I had called them to inform the technician to call before he came. All 5 TIMES I had taken off work to wait for them !!!!!

Had to hang up and then he called me back to rep remind ME for hanging up. True professional. DONT USE TRU GREEN!

Was a customer for 4 years, with a fertilizer/weed control plan. Havent had many issues, until this fall. My law got full of stickers and milk weed. I was told that in order for them to guarantee the weed control, I had to pay for two more applications. I already do 7 applications per year! Had been with them since they bought out Scotts, but have since cancelled my subscription. Looking for other options. Do not recommend Truegreen. Terrible customer service.
I would not recommend Truegreen I any shape form or fashion. They initially lied about fertilizing my yard after they learned I have cameras and proved the work was not done the branch manger called put my mind at ease. After a few weeks he too will not answer my calls on his personal phone.(which he stated is always on his body) This will escalate into a lawsuit this company is very deceptive BEWARE...
I dont recommend. We recently cancelled and I keep being told a manager will contact me, I originally reached out in March, so 6 weeks and no word. Trugreen always treated our front yard but rarely our back because wed forget to unlock the gate and there is a huge difference between the two, our front is dying and the backyard looks great. Its sad that even after we used their service for over a year, that they came and solicited on our door 2 weeks after cancelling for the weed growth.
My called to get fleas & Tick treatment. That what she called for. They told her it was called mosquito treatment. I know because I also spoke with them. They went on to tell her that when they transfer her to confirm. That they were going to call it mosquito treatment. Anyway they came out to spray. The so called G manager was one that came out. Then 3 days later I found it ticks. I thought give it a few more days. Then again 7days after they came out. My wife found ticks & took pictures send it too them. They called & said they dont treat for fleas & Ticks. My wife was so mad !!!! Thats what she was looking for & why she called. She told them she was not going to pay them.
Terrible, terrible, TERRIBLE company. But, dont worry, their customer service is even worse. Ive actually never experienced worse customer service and I use AT&T for both my internet and phones.

This place is the worste customer service Ive ever experienced! We had them at our 1st home about 5 years ago, we had nice grass, just wanted them to keep it healthy, well after the first 2 applies our grass turned yellow and pretty much died! Foward to now, were in our second home in wich I figured I would give them another chance, maybe just the person at the time, Well they did the same to our yard! They blame us for enseficiant water, well not true, water bill to prove it. They dont come out when they say or call, and just show up when they feel like it! Save yourself time and money by going with someone else or better yet, do it yourself. HATE TRUGREEN!!!!!!! THEY SUCK!
These guys are terrible, the rep on the phone promised seeding of our bald spots in our lawn and all we had to do was mow and water. Come to find out they don’t even do seeding in this area. I then called for a refund and they never got back to me. These guys are a Joke!!!
Does not live up to their promises or guarantee. Customer service is slow to respond. My lawn suffered under their lawn care program. They did not provide the additional antifungal treatment my lawn needed. I was able to fix my lawn in a few weeks. This was after firing Trugreen following 3 months of horrible service and ineffective lawn care.
My lawn is now in fine looking condition,,the specialists who come are professional & friendly and knowledgeable regarding my lawns needs,,, easy scheduling,, make me feel good about my lawn service,, and also get a good value for my money

I decided to try TruGreen. After a few months I noticed that they werent treating about 1/4 of my yard. This part of the yard didnt get the pre-emergent so it was full of weeds. I called to cancel the service and they offered me two free months and I reluctantly agreed. This past week they came to treat my yard, the next day all the grass shriveled up and turned brown. I contacted TruGreen and local manager, they had an incorrect mixture and they killed a lot of peoples yards. Their solution was to water every day to wash out the high amount of salt. They didnt offer to pay my water bill or anything. I hate TruGreen they turned my yard into the worst yard in the neighborhood and they are very expensive.
