We take our work trucks there for transmissions. Whether it be a new transmission or repair one they never disappoint. My boss doesnt trust many auto repair places. So for him to give and continuously take business here says a lot about the place. The staff is friendly as well!:)

Traveling from MI to CA to escape the winter, my transmission died in Odessa. I called and while he wasn’t able to take care of the emergency in the time that I needed, he did transfer me to another mechanic who did an awesome job and for a great value. I cannot thank this company enough for getting this stranded girl back on the road practically overnight. Amazing!!

The absolute most friendly professional experience I’ve ever had with an auto shop. We were coming through town and my transmission went out. After a couple other local phone calls, I got Kenny at Permian Basin on the phone and I knew immediately this was the shop I wanted to deal with. He suggested a tow company, and once my truck was there, they got to work. Told me what they found, why it was that way, what I needed, and got started. Just from a conversation with Kenny, I knew my truck was going to be right when I got it back. The price was on point, and my truck drives and tows better than it ever has. I can’t thank these guys enough.....I really can’t.

Very friendly people. Been having transmission problems, it turned out to be electrical problem... Bob one of the master mechanics there put out on the computer and was able to point me in the right direction! I highly recommend this place because a couple other places was gonna charge me 125 and 75 dollars just to look at it... thanks Bob!!!

I called and discussed my issue on my Ford Mustang with the owner as I had few concerns. I spoke with the Owner Kenny and he said that he could get me in the next morning and it would be about $100 to put on the lift and diagnose the problem.After arriving to the shop we discussed some of the issues I was having and Kenny was very knowledgeable and helpful in our discussions.We put the car on the lift and Kenny gave me his opinion and since my issue was not related to transmission problems he recommended that I go to a Speed Shop that he recommended and said that he would conduct the work that he thinks may be needed if it’s something in his realm but I would need to seek the opinion of the person he recommended first.Sorry for the book but all of the Crew here are awesome and willing to help. Kenny did not charge me after all as he said he just gave an opinion and is looking forward to finding out the process needed to fix my issue. I have not had customer service to this satisfactory in a long time if ever especially being an out of towner.Big Thanks to the owner as well as the crew.I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BUSINESS!!!!!!

Guys are all great, they had my car because I blew 3 gears out of my 96 mustang, they helped me out when something went wrong with my tune chip preventing from their test drive and hung around helping me for about 30 minutes after they closed, sadly when we got it started finally we ended up discovering they had received and installed a faulty torque converter, but they told me they would get it fixed as fast as they could. I do plan on using their shop for automatic transmission work in the future, maybe some manual trans work too but all I plan on dealing with are t-56s, lencos, and Jerichos(and maybe a few richmonds) and my dad and I have plenty of experience with all of those. Update: faulty torque converter was not actually faulty, caused by a damaged wiring harness connector, they got me one of the last ones ford made for my trans, runs like a dream now, cant wait to get her past break-in so I can really see what that trans is capable of, but it already feels better than new!

Grate people, they do what others will not. There honest and up front, they do grate work and will help you out if you need it. Took my truck here, they took over three months to fix my transmission. Four months later, the transmission went out. Customer service was just as faulty as their work. Came in to pick truck up, they couldnt find my keys. Waste of $2,200.00!!!I wonder if all the other reviews came from legitimate customers? Just dont want someone to go through the hell I did.

My 40 ft class A Motorhome transmission failed on the Interstate while traveling through TX. I was fearful that being Midland/Odessa TX a gas-oil-patch boom-town /expensive region I would be charged Up the wazoo . To my delight, (and heartfelt thanks) the price was very good, service was quick and efficiently performed with a replacement transmission that was expertly installed and warranted so I could travel throughout with confidence and bring the transmission to any Mfg warranty service center nation wide for repair and or replacement.( like Permian Basin Trans)They even threw in a transmission fluid cooler radiator and hoses that came with the trans/ kit for the install. ( Unique to this big honkin unit?)Kenny the owner is a great guy, trustworthy, experienced, with knowledgeable staff including professional service and... as corny as it sounds fantastic customer care. 15 thousand miles later an increase in gas mileage (for a giant RV thats a plus) and more power through the drivetrain. They didnt keep the time frame they promised.they promised it done in 10 day but hadnt even touched it in 14 days then tried to offer me a jasper tranny for an extra 1000.00 on top of the 2000.00 quote. And then tried to blame me for the time frame . basically made a bunch of promises and didnt deliver.

Kenny is down to earth and does a great job.

I dropped my truck off to have the transfer case looked at for a minor noise. About a week and a half later I was called and told to pay $3,000 for a repair I never authorized, I never even found out what was wrong. I was going to talk to the owner about it when I picked it up, but he had a neighbor meet me at the shop to get my truck so I never got the chance. Oh and by the way the rear seal is already leaking less than 5000 miles later, it has a warranty but Ive been scammed enough.
