In our defense: My Name is Dr. Beth Johnson. Taylor Mewis is my office manager. I am the executive director at Lakefront Wellness Center. Unfortunately, two of these reviewers did not receive services at our clinic. The paragraph of complaint did not reach my attention to resolve. It is important to note that Lakefront Wellness Center has been in business for 20 years without incident. This team has served thousands of clients. The nature of psychotherapy is that it is private and most people do not post about it. It is also the nature of all business, that the most disgruntled will post. Lakefront Wellness Center has survived and thrived based upon word of mouth. We have always struggled to keep up with our referrals. We are not perfect but please take with a grain of salt.

This is not a place to get real help.. I was seeing a counselor there for 6 months and never getting anywhere. My marriage and life were in real trouble. And she didn’t see it. I had to stop going due to change in insurance. My counselor led me to believe she was going to try and get in network and continue therapy with me when I would be switching insurance carriers. There was a thought we could continue and the costs would be back dated to the date of application.Over all her paperwork was “lost” or never sent. I owed full price out of pocket which she gladly took and finally 3-4months later I got a text saying she was rejected to be in network with my new insurance.. very little communication follow up in between.Having to seek out a new counselor because now everything was turned upside down I now have real recommendations and real choices and we are working on real effective steps to take and all within weeks.Do not seek help here it was a joke.honestly if she would have never charged me my out of pocket cost and recommended what to do next I probably would have never posted a review.

Lakefront Wellness was a warm and comfortable starting point to my healing journey. Everyone from the front desk to the exceptional therapists were thoughtful and professional. My therapist made me feel like I was involved in my treatment plan and goal setting. I put my trust in Lakefront Wellness and will be back if the need arises!

The owner of lakefront wellness center does not believe in her own practices. She is extremely unprofessional and cannot be trusted. Many other places to find help other than here!!
