First impression was not bad. Inspected my house and they recommended local treatment. But other company recommended the humigate.After local treatment, termite found and they did not find it at the time. I ask fumigate with credit. But they did not give full credit and fumigate price is also higher than others. I will not recommend the company

I have used Hume for over 20 years. I would highly recommend them. They are super efficient, professional and well priced. I always get three bids when using a service. They are always the best priced. I cant say enough about the company and the people who work there. I give them five stars.

Called for a second estimate on tenting for termite treatment, representative from the company arrived, inspected the house, stated we would receive the estimate next day. We explained that we needed it done in the next two weeks. Called on the third day after not receiving an estimate, they stated it would be sent out that day. Never received estimate, even checked junk folder. Called the company that gave us the first estimate but the open dates were filled. I will never use or recommend this pest control company.

I work for a mortgage company, and needed a termite company to get me a termite inspection, and be paid through escrow. I spoke with Steve, who was extremely helpful, and just so friendly overall. He was quick and to the point, and was the only company that picked up the phone! And on top of that, his price was the lowest Ive seen in years. Absolutely killing it, and definitely would recommend to anyone I work with.If you want to support a local business, this is the place to do it.

Dan Hume went above and beyond to arrange his schedule to meet with my roofers during a repair project. He was very helpful in determining where the problems were not only with the termites, but with the roof repairs. His price was less than I expected. I would definitely recommend you call them to get a quote to rid your home of creepy critters

If you are buying a home, I would strongly recommend that you hire Hume & Company to oversee the seller and his/her delivery of a termite clearance. Hume represented the buyer of the home I was selling, and they found a lot of termite damage and rot after it had already been cleared by my termite inspection company. Unfortunately this occurred after I had already purchased another home and if I had hired Hume to represent me when I was a buyer I would not be in a lawsuit with the seller for providing a sub-standard termite clearance. They are honest, fair and very reasonably priced. They DO NOT make a mountain out of a molehill. Unlike most termite inspection companies, they simply follow the State of California requirements for a Section 1 termite clearance, if theres damage they will find it and list it.

Avoid this outfit like the plague. If they pass gas in your bathroom they will charge you for the gas. I HAD A TERMITE INSPECTION AND CORRECTIVE WORK DONE LESS THEN 8 MONTHS AGO but V.A. requires within 90 days for a new refinance.The inspector was claiming termites on a brand new roof I had put on fairly recently with a very reputable conscientious company meticulous about their work. He saw some wet wood which in his mind means termites. Forget the fact it just rained and the wind blows the water up and under eves in a lot of instances. He was merciless and took pleasure in a callous obtuse manner giving his blown out of poor-portion report. I am having two more inspections done and woe and God help any fraudulent reports made by anyone to pay the kitty as I have all ready contacted the state. This guy took joy and was just thrilled with himself holding up my refinance. I am a 100% disabled combat service connected Vietnam Veteran and really needed the refinance for a ADA Bedroom. Stay away from this outfit. This inspector Loves to make mountains out of mole hills, exaggerate, and document more than what is physically there and showing. Integrity? Business ethic? honesty? Their office is a PO Box. I guess this is Hume and Company Inc s way of thanking me for my service.

Dan and Hume and Co are honest and fair and have the best warranty as they stand by their work and do it right the first time. I refer them to my family and friends often.

My first experience with Hume wasn’t bad. I hired them to treat my house for termites a couple years ago. Following that service, I’ve probably reccommended Hume to a dozen of my own former clients, for which I now regret. I’m a contractor, so not only do I expect a certain level of service, but i can identify shady business practices when I unfortunately experience them. I had Hume come out to the house to look another possible termite problem. I was told they were subterranean termites, for which they could treat the area, but it wouldn’t be covered under the warranty from tenting the home two years prior. I didn’t think that made much sense, but that’s not the issue. I told the guy I wanted to think about it, as I was planning on demolishing the wall that was infested along with the landscape that bordered it, so I didn’t know if it would be worth treating. What happened next is in question, because they say i called and scheduled them to treat the area. Unless I have Alzheimer’s, that never happened. I did end up demolishing the area, and digging up and replacing 4 feet of dirt. I didn’t think it was necessary to treat, and thus i didnt call and schedule a treatment. I got a bill for $250 months later. I disputed it, but they had somebody’s signature apparently. I had them send me the signature to make sure I was t crazy, but it wasn’t anyone’s in my house. What happens next is what I have the biggest issue with. The owner, Dan, then calls and insults me. He implies that I am lying by saying they have processes in place to ensure they don’t make mistakes and if I cant afford to pay the bill I should ask if they would split up the payment instead of lie. I was more than offended and I very much regret the business I gave them, along with all the business I sent them over the last two years. After insulting me I ended the conversation, called their office and paid the $250 along with some other charges they slipped in there for interest and paying by credit card instead of a check. Honestly, if you go through Hume, you most likely won’t have the issue I had with them, but you shouldn’t support a company that conducts business the way they do and treats clients so poorly. There are plenty other options out there.

$715 charged for 50 minutes of work. Need I say more.
