I’ve had previous bad experiences with other dentists but these gals here know what they’re doing. They made me feel very comfortable and my gums don’t bleed anymore. So happy I came here!

Such a good experience! I am so happy with my teeth and they look amazing! I would definitely recommend going here. The staff was incredible and so kind. When my friend recommended this place I thought she was exaggerating! Turns out she was not! Ive always had horrible experiences at dental offices but this place was the exact opposite! Treatment was painless, music was so soothing, and Doctor Vaughn was very professional and kind! Cant wait to bring the rest of my family next month!

This place was recommended to us by my sister, I have taken my entire family for dental treatment. We are very satisfied. The front office is very helpful and takes the time to explain everything regarding dental procedures/insurance.I always felt very comfortable going there. We are happy!

I was very pleased with the great customer service but more so on how well staff went out of their way on making sure everything was disinfected ensuring my safety. If I could give them minus stars I would. I am angry with myself for not realizing the management of this office is all messed up. It took 2 months waiting for service; said they had to get authorization after the first month; then they said, they needed to get authorization from another doctor. Its been 2 months and still no appointment! Ive had it!!!!!

I had a very negative experience and dont recommend this office. I have overall very healthy teeth and gums and needed a simple cleaning and a simple extraction due to a single back tooth damaged in a car accident. The office gave me a full set of x-rays and exam and then told me they dont do extractions, that I needed to go elsewhere after cheerfully billing my insurance and exhausting my benefits. I went to another dentist for the simple extraction (took 5 minutes) and then called back a month later to make an appointment for a cleaning and was told I needed to see a periodontist for my cleaning because of a non-existent periodontal problem. I dont have periodontal disease. I take great care of my teeth. So other than billing my insurance for the exam and Xrays, this office refused to provide me with any service of any kind. I have never experienced anything like this. Avoid at all costs unless you like being billed and not being treated even for the simplest procedures.

Recently moved to Oceanside and found an excellent dentist with an amazing staff and customer service. Definitely recommend it for all your dental needs!

Unprofessional. I would not be surprised if these good reviews are fake. I noticed how they show up the day after they get a bad review. I except nothing less from such a shady practice. This place should be investigated.

Dentist is good, but nightmare dealing with front office billing. The office billed my insurance after I paid out of pocket. Money was sent to dental office and now they are refusing to give me my money back. My insurance had to call dental office twice to get them to cooperate after refusing to send money back to insurance or pay me directly. Then dental office offered me a receipt for work never done so I could rebill my insurance and get them to pay on fraudulent invoice. Very unethical!!! I already caught Illiana, front desk/billing, in two lies. Do not go to Pierview Dental..dishonest and totally unethical office..

Dr Vaughn and her entire staff are dynamite. Shes the best Dentist Ive ever had.

I highly highly recommend Dr Vaughn and her wonderful staff. She does great work I got a lot of work done two crowns and like ten cavities. No troubles at all, she explains everything she does. The front staff and dental assistants are super refreshing, professional and accommodating. Very satisfied with everything at this office. Wonderful group of people to work with that you can trust with your dental needs.

I would give this office a 10 star if I could. Every one in Pier View is competent and skilled. In my x-rays there was a circle above my 2 front teeth. She referred me to another doctor, it could have been cancer. All the other dentist ignored the symptoms. After 5 years, I would not recommend anyone else.

Pier View Dental is awesome. They are very professional, fun and they are giving me back my clean smile. The office is right by the pier and it is very nice. Dr. Vaughn is a real pleasure and I am lucky to have her for my dentist.

I have seen Dr. Vaughn several times now, after moving from NC to CA. I really needed a dentist that I could trust. I was searching for a dentist and discovered her online via my insurance. Dr Vaughn, is very nice and professional. I was very satisfied with the results of my dental work. I felt at ease when I walked in, her staff was very generous and kind. They are so friendly and care about your well being so much. Loved to talk with the staff there! I wont go to another dentist unless I have to move again. I will definitely be returning with friends and family. When you experience the best it makes seeing the dentist the highlight of your day. :-)

Im in the process of moving into the area. I just spent a full week near Oceanside trying to get everything together for the move when my child had a dental emergency. We tried calling several places on a Friday night, but no one was open. :( We were walking by this office, so I called, and they saw my daughter right away!! The Dr. was so nice and kind to my daughter, even though she was so scared. My daughters face was so swollen due to a dental abscess. The doctor prescribed antibiotics and drained the infection. What could have been a long painful weekend in the emergency room, finished with a happy ending! One thing that I dont have to worry about when I finally move to Oceanside is to find a Dentist!! I have already found one. My family and I will definitely be coming to this office. Thank you Pier View Dental.

I have nothing but good things to say about this dental office. Doctor and staff are very professional and most of all they fixed my tooth right away. Didnt cost me much either! I have had several appointments with them in the last 3 years and every time it has been painless! I recently married my husband and now Ill be bringing my him in next month.

Went here to get my wisdom teeth removed only pulled out 3 of the 4 got a few months down the road and the last one still hurts called them to get the last one done and said that I had to pay for an xray that is covered by my insurance then when I argued it changed to well the specialist wont be coming back for a few months. Just do yourself a favor and avoid this places. It looks nice but thats all thats nice about this place. Also had 3 cavities filled but they were also really rough about dental work.

Please do yourself a huge favor and go ANYWHERE else for treatment. I wasted multiple trips here and walked away without treatment 2 out of 3 times.The first time I understand because I did not have an ID since my wallet was stolen.The second time they agreed to see me with just an insurance card but wouldnt clean my teeth; they only did X-rays/checkup. They also saw my kids the same day but each one of them told me the dentist was rough with their cleanings so I was feeling uneasy.Today was really the last straw. I went in to get a cavity filled and said I dont like being numb but if the doctor thinks its necessary then I will do it. I have a high pain tolerance and would rather not drool on myself for 5-6 hours if I can handle the pain.Well, the receptionist came in a few minutes later and tells me that unfortunately they cant see me since I declined being numb and they can refer me to another dentist.I let her know that Im already here and would rather just do it now so if I have I be numb then thats fine.They declined.Im sorry but being a mother of 5 kids, I dont have time for this nonsense.Save yourself some time and look elsewhere.

I’m always terrified of going to the dentist, but this dentist really makes you feel comfortable! Assistants and receptionist are very welcoming as well!! I’ve gotten a deep cleaning, as well as my cavities filled and I’ve gotten my wisdom tooth pulled here!! Overall, a great place to go to!!!!

They always make me feel comfortable when I have to get any work done. Im a very anxious person so that is hard to do. I give them 5 stars because they are quick and to the point . Got a few cleanings and Im always a bit sensitive afterwards but thats the norm

Wow, what a beautiful office and experience! I thought for sure I must be in the wrong place, being that I have the worst insurance in the world Denti-cal. Dr. Vaughn and her entire staff are beautiful, vibrant and professional woman. I had 6 deep cavities filled in one sitting and did not feel a thing. They even called me the same night to check on me. I have had such bad experiences with my insurance in the past, and how I was treated. Not so here, they treated me with dignity and respect and even checked on me. The parking is easy and the view is amazing, the office should be in Beverly Hills! And, they are always punctual. I would refer Pier View Dental to anyone who needs to find an excellent dentist. Let me explain why I am giving Pier View Dental a 1 star. Its not that the place is dirty, because its not. Its a nice clean little office with a nice crew that works there. The issue I have is with the quality of the dental work I had done as well as their policies I had to deal with.So I called and made my first appointment for a cleaning and checkup. I was informed on the phone that I would get the check up but the cleaning would only happen if there was time. I found this to be false after getting there. They only do small amounts of work each visit in order to collect bigger checks from the insurance. They get paid for each visit as well as each procedure. A visit and a check up gets them X amount of money. A second visit and another procedure means another visit dollar amount and another procedure dollar amount. They did x-rays and within 10 minutes came in and said you have 4 cavities. 3 on one side and 1 on the other. I said ok lets get them filled. They informed me Id need to make another appointment to have them filled. I said ok, fair enough and scheduled an appointment for the following week.The following week I arrived for my appointment sat down in the chair and they started looking in my mouth and said oh wait you have 3 more cavities (mind you this is on the side I had already been told I had 3 on). Ive only had a total of 4 cavities my entire life and take good care of my teeth. I somehow have 6 cavities on one side?? I say ok, if I have them lets take care of them. Lets just say this was one of the least fun dentist visits of my life. That includes the time I had 4 wisdom teeth pulled, braces put on, a cleaning and one cavity filled (in one visit at a different dentist). Anyway she finished up and I said there is one more on the other side. She replied with we dont do both sides on the same day. Youll need to schedule another appointment.I left and for the next week my new fillings hurt, felt really rough, Id catch dental floss on them. I have never had my other dental work feel so bad.A week later I arrived for my appointment. I went in and she started taking a look youll never guess what she found? More cavities!!! She then went in and filled all these extra cavities. Again not a pleasant visit while she was doing the work. Quite painful. A lot like the visit before. At the end I mentioned the previous fillings didnt feel right, she looked and said they look fine. At the front desk I asked about my cleaning? That was my original reason for any appointments. This is that best part. They said You have deep pockets 4mm and 5mm, you need a deep cleaning. OK book it. Deep pockets like that call for a deep cleaning and your insurance doesnt cover that. Its going to be $100 cash or credit to do that work. At this point I had figured out there scam. I said No thanks ill go back to my dentist Ive had for the last 10 years if im paying cash out of pocket. They tried to talk me into staying but I had had enough.You ask yourself why I left my previous dentist? Not by choice. my new insurance wasnt accepted at my long time dental office. If im paying for dental im going to use it.Before I drove away I called my old dentist and booked an appointment. I went in the next week. I told him the story. He said thats to bad. He hadnt heard anything like that about Pier View Dental. (His front office people told me they hear that almost every week). He looked at my mouth and said I didnt have deep pockets. He went in and fixed all her bad dental work. It took him close to an hour. He did my cleaning and when I left He charged me $85.I dont write too many bad reviews. Only when I know it needs to be heard. This is one of those times. I will never return to Pier View Dental. I will use my normal dentist from here on out. I caution anyone thinking of using Pier View.

I get a cleaning/x-rays every 6 months and have not had a single cavity since I was a teenager(over 20 years). I visit this office and Im told I have 8 cavities some which include leaky fillings a term I have never once heard before. Im getting a second opinion for sure...My kids did not care for the dentist and described her as rough and impatient.Ive already found a new dentist and will update this review after my appointment.
