I went in for a normal fade, and left eighteen dollars poorer, two razor cuts on my neck, and an fade that appears more uneven than Hurricane Katrina aftermath photos. Genuinely the worst haircut Ive ever gotten; my disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined.

Used to be in here for my weekly fade always great service and came out fresh! I’ve since moved outta state and can’t replicate how they used to fade me up! Thank you Sarah for all the great work miss you!

Without a doubt this is the best cut ever. I have been getting barber cuts ever since serving in the military about 30 years ago.I was on vacation in San Diego and went into knuckleheads for a cut. Pat is an excellent barber. His fade is literally the best fade ever. He was super friendly and efficient. Too bad I live so far-away but I will always make it a point to go and see Pat at knuckleheads when I return to San Diego in the future.

Place is nice, efficient and usually you dont have to wait more than 15 minutes for a haircut unless its 1pm on a Sunday. Only knock against it is they changed their prices so if you pay with $20 you get a $1 bill and a $5 bill back so when you tip you either tip $5 on a $14 haircut or tip $1. Other than that service is great.

Had a great haircut from Gabby. She was the go to for flat tops. I normally go to Camp Pendleton being retired. I found a new place, I was very happy with my buzz cut. They just don’t do military, civilians with long hair. I felt refreshed after my trim, needed that in a bad way. Go check them out

Great environment to get your haircut. They do phenomenal fades and provide hair products for all types of hair. Can be packed on the weekends, but that lets you know that they have return customers for a reason!

I dont know if Ive just got bad luck or what, but the last three or four times Ive come here they have absolutely destroyed my hair. You would think that being so close to a military installation that a medium fade wouldnt be too difficult, but then again Im not a barber. Just too bad I had to spend $60 total to learn my lesson

They cut my hair for all 5 years I was on Camp Pendleton, and I was never once disappointed. They have tons of barbers working the weekends to keep lines moving quickly, the after haircut hair wash is amazing, and theyre all nice people. I would highly recommend them.

Seems as if barber shops are making a comeback, in California at least. Visited here on a Saturday. Was greeted promptly upon arrival. The place was busy but I didnt have to wait. They had enough barbers to take me right away. $17 including a wash was a good deal. Id definitely go back.

As someone mentioned they have been getting inconsistent with the haircuts. I have been coming here for a year. They got new people. Unfortunately, the new barbers are not up to par with the quality of haircut. They butchered my hair and I only got the most basic cut (believe it or not) since I know this place is notorious for churning out barbers. Unless you have an appointment with the best barbers there you are out of luck.

This used to be my barbershop when Tracy & her daughter worked here. I STRONGLY advise not to EVER let them anyone give you a line up here. They messed mines up one weekend then I had to wait a whole month for my hairline to grow back in. Only to come back for them to do it again the next time I tried to get one. I was a faithful customer for over 3yrs that tipped well. Im never coming back to this place.

My first time coming here was October 2017.. I had Tracy cut it the first time and I’ve been going back every 3rd Sunday and having Tracy cut it everytime. The place is clean, very friendly, and they do amazing fades! I recommend Tracy cause her cuts are the most consistent I’ve ever had. But she’s also the only one I’ve gone to since day 1. I look forward to my haircuts now cause I don’t have to wonder if my barber is having a bad day or distracted with his or her own drama. It’s 100% on point each time!! Two thumbs up... Way up!!!

Reason Im only giving 2 stars is because of my last experience. The first few haircuts I got from there were good to very good. Last night got a haircut from the one male barber ive seen there. Asked for a med/low fade. Got a crappy low fade instead. Not blended in at all. When I asked for him to bring it up a little bit he explained to me that he gave me what I asked for and gave me attitude. Never going back.

I called ahead to make sure I could get a shave. Waited for my turn even though I got skipped 3 times. They admitted and apologized for that part--like that makes it better. When I sat down and asked about a shave, immediately she tried to get out of it. She started cutting my hair and half way through--when I couldnt walk away-- she left me to talk to the manager who came up with an excuse for why they couldnt give me a shave. Not a terrible cut but definitely not a good experience.Why advertise something that you dont do?Needless to say, Im not going back!

I have been going here for 3 years and Ive finally had enough with the inconsistencies. Their barbers change almost weekly so unless you wait for an hour for their two primary barbers then dont expect any sort of report with one person. Their haircuts are standard at best, it only takes five minutes for a military haircut but the other reviews make it seem like it is amazing salon like quality. The worst thing is the prices, completely inconsistent. They have signs posted for pricing, $9 for just the sides plus $1 for a trim on top. So how is it that I have paid between $9 and $13 for the EXACT same hair cut Ive been getting for years? Plus they expect a tip, Im always willing to oblige but the inconsistencies have gone too far. A persons rank shouldnt change pricing for a hair cut, Im sorry knuckleheads but you have lost my business and I dont plan on recommending you to anyone in the foreseeable future. Save yourself the trouble and find another barbershop amongst the hundreds in the area.

Excellent Barbershop! SARAH(sorry if spelled differently) cut my hair today and let me tell you it was perfect. Very attentive to what I wanted, I asked for a 4 on top and 2&1/2 on the sides with a low 0a (super low taper) and she delivered.I especially like how she used a straight razor to fine tune the sides of the ears and line the back edges. She was very quick, but precise and thorough while cutting my hair - all while conversing with me.The inside is constantly swept and all of her equipment was sanitized and properly maintained that I noticed, this goes for all the others that have cut my hair before her at Knuckleheads Barbershop.CASH ONLY - ATM INSIDE. There are a few couches that provide comfortable yet, adequate seating.FREE WIFI - While you wait inside.My haircut was a pretty standard haircut and worth all $12; I pulled a 20 from the atm and gave her the rest after paying, because I believe you should tip excellent for excellent service.Would recommend all to this location!

Called on Wednesday to ask if they took appointments which they dont but thats ok. My issues is that I asked what time they opened on Thursday and the person on the phone told me 8am, said Id be the first in line...THEY OPEN AT 9AM!!!!....I have a job interview at 10am. Thanks for the heads up....

Ask for Kaycie Paramore for your barber! I showed her a picture of what I wanted and she did EXACTLY as I requested! It appears that all of the barbers are great, I just fell in love with the outcome of my cut from Kaycie. The entire place is professional and operates smoothly! They even wash your hair, which is included in the price! I willl be there EVERY 2 weeks like clock work for my trims! I cant say enough great things about this barbershop!
