Sauer and Sons enclosed our lanai 6 years ago with windows and a sliding door. The first time it rained water leaked inside. They came out and calked the bottom on the outside, but that didn’t last long. Every time we get a heavy rain, I have to put towels down inside to absorb the rain water. On 6/14/21 we called to order glazing bead (weather stripping) for the outside of a couple of the windows, as the original ones had broken down. We told them we had put electrical tape on the area to hold in the glass. I called on 7/27 and 8/31 requesting a status and was told it was still backordered. Consequently, we ordered it from another window company on 8/13 and it arrived 2 weeks later. I definitely do not recommend this company. As a follow up, when we ordered it originally on 6/14, the cost of installing it was never discussed. And, we no longer need them to do it.

I can no longer recommend this company because they are running a scam where they tell you if you leave a review for them they will send you a $25 gift card. Dont believe it because its a scam. We had a screen enclosure done in May and I wrote a review. After a month went by I called and asked about the gift card and they said the person that does them had been out sick and they would get one out to us. After calling two more times, they said they mailed it, but we never received it. It is clear they are running a scam and lying about sending the card. Im not sure why a company would pull a stunt like this other than to receive good reviews, but then they ruin any trust you had in them with their lies. I would recommend to avoid any company that lies to customers like this one does.

I love our new patio enclosure! The entire process from start to finish was a breeze. Mitchell came to my house and listened to what I wanted, drew up the plans and took care of all county permits. A couple weeks later Ashley called and said a team could be at my house the next day if I was ready. I was! When Aaron and Kim showed up the next morning they explained to me everything that they were going to do and over the next two days they did exactly that. Their work was done meticulously and you could tell that this team not only worked well together but they also both took a lot of pride in their work and my patio is proof! Had them do a pool cage 4 years ago. Didnt use galvanized screws and now many are rusted. Screen was also poor quality as it has split from the frame in many places. Shoddy materials! Asked about warranty over a week ago and no call back.

They were hired by our pool contractor to install a screen room. Awful crew. Left over 100 screws in the drive and around the pool are . Also 3 razor blades left outside the enclosure. Gouged our pool dec . I must say the construction is solid but it leaks in one corner of the gutter they installed. The crew of 5 left and one of them was left to complete the install he was here until almost midnight and did a poor job. i suggest finding a better crew to install your screen room not these people. It may have been just the crew I got were awful, but why chance it?

From start to finish this was a class firm to work with. At each stage of the project they did what they said they would do, when they said they would do it. Better yet, when the project was over with it cost what they said it would cost! The office staff was friendly, if they did not have an answer to our questions, they got one and promptly informed us. Their work crews were professional and friendly. They worked very well with the other contractors that we had contracted with. If you want a quality project, done on time, on budget and by professionals this is the firm to choose.

I contacted Sauer and Sons to obtain a bid for removal of a damaged room at my mothers here in Ocala, Florida and reconstruct a room in the same location. I received a bid from Mark in a very short time. I compared their bid to the other companies and decided to award Sauer and Sons the contract. Their demolition team began work immediately to remove the existing damaged room and repairs were made to the homes structure to prevent any further weather damage. Materials were ordered for construction of the new room and work was started shortly thereafter. Rick was the installer and was very courteous and helpful during this process. After Rick had completed the necessary framework, windows and a door were ordered for final completion of the room. These needed materials were received in a very short time. Again Rick was dispatched to complete the installation. Rick is very proficient, knowledgeable and courteous. The office staff were also very proficient and a pleasure to work with. Kudos to Ashley, Kelli, Mark, Rick and any others at Sauer and Sons that provide exceptional Customer Service. These associates are an asset to your company.In summary, I would definitely recommend Sauer and Sons to anyone that desires to have work performed by a competent company with knowledgeable and courteous personnel ready to serve their customers.

I recommend you go to the web site, when do you know you hired a bad contractor. this site list many catagories of failings. In my case sayer and sons company met several of the listed catagories and Im not talking just one or two but several. Think hard before hiring this company .

If youre looking for poor workmanship, false promises, and a porch that leaks every time it rains, these are your guys. We were getting our lanai replaced by a screened in porch last February. Prior to hiring this company, we voiced concern about leaks because we have a valley with a lot of runoff. We were assured that it wouldnt be a problem. We requested the lanai be taken down before Christmas even though they wouldnt start building until February, which they accommodated quickly. However, they didnt think to tell us that doing so may cause our entire living room to flood upon the first rain. Only after the fact, and after the $2000 spent on new carpets, did they decide to inform us that taking it down was a very bad idea because it would leave our house vulnerable to the rain. They also left live wires hanging outside which I had to have my father come and remove. After this debacle, they quickly built the porch to prevent any further damage to our home. So now we have a beautiful porch, but then the first rain hits. Water was pouring out of every inch of the entire ceiling. They quickly came out to asses the situation and claimed this new remedy would solve all our problems. Next rain comes and we still have water pouring out. They tell us that this happens sometimes and we just have to be patient as they figure out where the leak is coming from. We were assured that they would keep at it until it was fixed. Fast forward 6 months and weve had the same conversation every time it rained. Each time someone new was sent out, this person was the expert who hadnt found a leak he couldnt fix in 30 years. With each new person we received new promises and guarantees. We were told to be patient and not worry; this happens sometimes and would be fixed. Once it became apparent (6 months later) that the problem wasnt a quick fix, suddenly I stopped hearing from the company. Despite numerous phone calls and text messages, it wasnt until 6 weeks later (keep in mind, this is Florida, so 6 weeks of daily summer downpours) that I finally heard from someone. Now the story is that theyre going to redo the flashing to go up a little higher. They assure us that everything they did was done properly and it must be our roof thats the problem, but that the extended flashing would fix it for sure this time. We wanted to get some different opinions, so we had 3 separate professional roofing companies come out to assess the situation. All 3 companies had the same response: the job they did was a joke. They all said the flashing was done improperly (they put flashing ON TOP of shingles) and made a complete mess up there. We went along with the roofer Sauer hired to redo the flashing because they showed up on our roof one morning, without any notice of course. His OWN chosen company said that the work was a joke and done completely wrong and lazily. Thankfully, they fixed the hack job that Sauer & Sons did on the flashing. However, our porch still leaks and now Sauer claims its a problem with the valley; yes, that same valley that we brought up prior to hiring them but were assured wouldnt be a problem. Well, now apparently it is our problem as Sauer has decided a leaky porch is fulfillment of their contract and that theyve gone above and beyond and bent over backward for us, as if the numerous times they had to come out were because of my frivolous needs and not because they built a faulty product. While the leaks are now fewer in number than they originally were, a leaky porch is a leaky porch. Ya know what wouldve prevented so many follow up trips? Two options: do it right the first time or dont take on a job that you cant handle.
