My husband and I both have COVID, and are losing money for having to be off work while we recover. My husband called and left a message for Orkin prior to our scheduled appointment, advising them to NOT come out and perform our monthly treatment. What does Orkin do? Come out anyway while we are sleeping, perform only the outside mosquito treatment, & charge $40 to our account. We did not want any services at all! What a sneaky way to take advantage of ill customers! That is a horrible business practice and I cannot recommend them in any way.Update 10/4/21: Orkin immediately called my husband the same day I originally posted this review. They stated they would credit our account the $40 for the service we did not ask for, after telling them to NOT come service our home. I just received an invoice in the mail for $40, the service they promised they would credit us for. Our online account reflects the same balance. Our frustrations with this company just keep building.

Orkin was amazing. They took time to answer all my concerns. They had a professional and quick response. They treated inside and out. Stephanie and Dean were incredibly nice and professional. They worked hard to make sure the termites are being taken care of highly recommend Orkin!

A very nice Orkin technician came to my door this morning. He was a different person than the one I’ve had for years. I asked him if my usual technician had retired early or was perhaps I’ll, and he said, no, the company had reassigned its technicians, and he would be visiting me regularly instead of Neil, whom I had come to know and trust. The new young man proved to be competent, professional, and polite. He did a great job. However, I am disappointed that Orkin reassigned my regular technician without saying a word. Just so you know, I don’t like that at all. It seems that your customers, for the most part, are just not important enough to notify us of a change like this. I believe I have had Neil taking care of my house for the last seven years. Why have you assigned new personnel to this area, especially without notifying us ahead of time of the change? It would have been a thoughtful kindness.

They are incredibly dishonest. They started off by telling us we had to wait several weeks after signing the contract to deal with a rodent infestation. They said there was a waiting period for those services. A call to the main company, not the locals, forced the same individual back out to the house the next day with the traps. After not catching anything we asked them to rebate the traps, which they said would be a week long wait. Again, the main company said that they would be happy to send the regional manager out to do it.Well, we finally killed some and then they refused to come out and get them. Even after calling the company I had to deal with TWO dead animals that they were under contract to remove... the smell was horrid. The main branch continues to assure us they want our business.... yet nobody called back.HORRID experience.

Abraham was Very professional and informative. He showed us areas on the home that made it easy for ants to enter our home. I’m very happy with the service today.

I got a text saying he would be arriving soon and he was there a little early which was amazing. He got right to work and pointed out several things I never noticed. He was very warm and friendly. I told him how I just moved to Florida two weeks ago and he gave me some pointers on the differences of Boston and here and he even noticed that my air conditioner needed work and again I didn’t even notice it was broken! He was very good and I definitely recommend Orkin! He went above and beyond for sure. Plus he was cute so that’s even better for me! Haha

The pest control man easily handled a large hive in the ground and they have not returned. He was so calm when they were buzzing around him but he didnt get stung

I had just bought a home and while cleaning out the cabinets I seen some dead roaches. The home looked very clean and beautiful but I didnt pull out the drawers or look in the back of cabinets. After being in my home in under a year the rainy season started. Living in Florida there is a lot of hot seasons and rainy seasons. I started to see a couple of roaches here and there, I sprayed but it seemed it wasnt working. I called Orkin, they was very polite on the phone and quoted me a good price. That following Monday the tech came out very prompt. He explained everything he was going to do and did a great job. The company even gave me a $50.00 discount. We had a problem with waterbugs getting into our home with all the rain we have been getting so we called Orkin. They came out to our home within just a few days, explained the process and began to spray inside and out. The products they use are not harmful to my pets or plants so thats a plus! So far no bugs and a happy costumer!!!

He came out today on time and gave me all the info he was gonna do. We had a conversation (very kind and caring guy, super funny too) he did an excellent job spraying the outside and inside of my house and explained everything I needed to know about their company and future pest control. I will be seeing them back in the future for sure.

My first call to Orkin was informative and specific to my needs. They were prepared to send a specialist to my home the same day. After our first visit, I have seen a huge decrease in pests both inside and outside of the home.

We had service done to take care of some minor issues with pest. The service representative Abraham was very courteous and professional. He was very thorough in making sure to cover all areas. We will be using them on a regular basis for preventative treatments. I had used Orkin before when I lived in Palm Beach. I would recommend them to anyone who needed pest control.

Having regular pest control treatments from Orkin has kept the perimeter of the house and surrounding area just about pest free and we have not had a issues with pest getting into the home. Our service tech is also very knowledgeable and detailed in his treatment applications.

Ryan, Jeremiah and Dean are wonderful and made what I thought was going to be a nightmare not so scary at all. They explain everything, come back as often as you need them and make things right. They are now my go to company.

It started out really good I told a couple people use them they are GREAT. But after what I experienced today I will be canceling. I never got the time frame of when they were coming, just the day. So I waited until 3 for someone to show up. Then when he did I had to remind him they were supposed to come back out to spray the inside of my house prior to this. The worker says, ok I have my sprayer. I can spray right now ok thats great however while my small kids were still in the house and same room he proceeds to spray. Now previous times they have sprayed they have made sure the kids were out of the house due to the fumes. I load my kids up and the guy asks are you leaving right now?... I was also told previously that after spraying you have to leave for a couple hours so it has time to calm down( the fumes). So that was i was waiting to do is leave after he finished up. Then he sprays in a part of the yard that was supposed to be noted not to be sprayed. This area is fenced in, so a clear boundary. As is another tenants part of the property. Hence why it was supposed to be noted clearly it was not.

Orkin performs this service each year to check for any termite activity, although each technician does the inspection differently. Weve not had any termite problems since we moved here 10 years ago.

We have a schedule that wont allow us to be home before a certain time. Orkin needs us to be there to let them in. We told them this upfront. They had no issues with it and said they would work around it. The first two times were ok, then they started to cancel or reschedule. Last week i get a message that they would have to reschedule, when they didnt schedule in the first place. I had no idea they were supposed to be here and they still didnt show up.To get them here in between scheduled appointments is almost impossible.I will be giving my business to someone local from now on.

Value kind of pricy but have not had any roaches since Orkin started!

My thought are this. The service really depends on where you live and who is your technician. As none of them follow any set program And do it their own way. I have in the 9 months I have been using this service had 5 different techs at this point only two I would have paid. The other were a waste of my time And money. And always had to come back. And still didn’t do a good job. There are two techs, Abe and James, James was here today he was professional And friendly And did an awesome job. The last three month however I had Steve who literally came up to me, a disabled gentleman, And told me I needed to go around And knock down the spider webs And eggs. To which I told him that is your job as you are my pest control he left everything the webs amd eggs, that is, up And left. Also this was June and again in July. My August spray never even happened. When it was already planned to give the house a double shot as Tech was here end of July as a call back and my normal appointment was August 5th which no one ever came or showed up till today 9-9-21. So when dealing with this company as I have said it depend which tech you get whether you will have good service terrible service or great service. James And Abe’s great service all the others terrible. Why do they still have jobs is my question. Orkin management knows who they are. And they will not be allowed to do my home again. I want one of the two techs I mentioned or not at all. No one should have to pay for services they are not receiving or tech refuses to do.

Our Orkin representative was very very thorough and he explained the process to us. He was quick and super friendly! We hope we can get him with every visit! I dont remember his name though.

Orkin arrived earlier than expected and was pleasant to wait for us to be ready for him. It was our first time with Orkin so he explained everything and got right to work. He was friendly, telling us what he was doing all along the way. After using a different service a few years ago, this was a treat. I’m so glad that I called Orkin and look forward to future visits from our technician, Neil.

The Technician, Abraham Canizares, arrived on time and abiding by CDC guidelines. Conducted outside application and inside (customer request) application very efficiently. Good communication on results of rodent control traps.My only complaint is the scheduling procedure. Since the local office has changed ownership from Family to Corporate I have found that I have to call the Regional Office to get the Technician scheduled. Prior to the ownership change the Technician set his own schedule with his customers and was more efficient.

The tech that came out was very professional and apologetic when a job took longer than expected, very knowledgeable .

They come every 3 month for maintenance and I have not seen or had any issues. Been with this company for years.

Barrington James came to my Mothers home on Saturday after we discovered an ant problem. He was by far the best representative for a company I have yet to encounter. Professional, courteous, humorous and diligent. Highly recommend.

Excellent tech who did the pest control

Orkin‘s response was fabulous. I called them at 10:00 AM Saturday morning and they were at my rental property by 11:30 AM Saturday morning. There was an issue with German roaches add a new rental property and they spent all the time needed to treat every inch of space inside the unit. The technician Was very professional and knowledgeable regarding the services. I will definitely use them again.

Ive had their services for 3 months and lets just say I have a reminder on my phone so that I cancel before the contract renews. Most recently, a man accompanied my regular tech and presented himself as a quality control of sorts. He asked if he could go in my attic and then tried to convince me I had rats and needed to subscribe to a $2500 service, additional to my existing contract. I was flabbergasted because that was not even a thought in my mind. My home is less than 3 years old, and my husband had just been in the attic last month. He went up there again to check out this mans claims and, of course... nothing. Turns out quality control man, is regional sales manager. I complained to the company and received a voicemail. When I tried to return the call and speak with the branch manager, I was placed on hold immediately. I waited for 10 minutes before hanging up. Utterly ridiculous. Do your research and avoid this company. Go with a local company instead.
