Love this place, clean big lots of weights, lots of cardio machines. Easy to work out in.

The gym is fine, but make sure to cancel your membership at least two weeks before your bill is due or they’ll charge you for an extra month. I came in a full week before mine was due and they charged my card for the following month. I definitely feel scammed, but it is what it is.

Staff is very helpful. Gym is always clean. Tanning booths and beds are clean. There is never a long wait to use tanning and/or massage chairs. Restroom is nice and clean.

Great! It is a great place to workout and meet new people. The facility is clean and they are doing their best to accommodate everyone when it comes down to cleanliness/6ft apart. Even though I just joined, I’ve been to other gyms before and I got to say this place is awesome! I only wish they provided a sauna..

The gym is a nice for cardio. Not so much for lifting. I do not like the fact you need to give them your bank routing number. That’s ridiculous. The locker rooms are very..... Uncomfortable to say the least, definitely could be cleaner. Overall not satisfied and cancelled my membership.

I usually go to the PF over by sr 200 but when I recently moved to the otherside of town this is the one that was closer .This planet fitness isnt bad, however it does feel old. Lots of the equipment and machines show good amounts of wear and tear. The kettlebell handles are almost completely worn some the machine seats are ripped or have tears. The employees were really cool and helpful, doing the with what they have. Theres a strange design choice in the Abs and legs room where the wall is a glass window so everyone in the parking lot can see you working out, not a huge fan of this a car pulled up with their brights on and was right in my eyes. Overall Im just going to make the farther drive to the sr 200 PF Im paying the same amount no matter what might as well go to the clearly better equipped facility.

I called about an issue. I was corrected by the staff, and I was in the wrong, however, the experience was extremely unprofessional. I voiced frustration that you can send a formal written letter, or go into the store to cancel membership, but you cannot do it via email or over the phone. I did not curse or use vulgar language. Before I could finish my statement, I was told it was in my contract on how to cancel and I was hung up on. I’m not a fan of the process, and understand the employee isn’t responsible to determine what PF does with their corporate policy. When I tried to call back immediately after, my calls were ignored. I called from another line, and it was instantly answered by the same employee, Courtney. I asked to speak to a manager, and was told that she was the manager. She then said she didn’t hang up on purpose, but couldn’t answer why she ignored my two follow up phone calls from the original number, and she only answered after I had to use a different number.Basically, this place was fine taking your money and pretending to smile when they do, but the second you try and cancel your member ship they treat you terrible. I will never be jointing another PF again based on this experience. Been with planet fitness two different stints for a total of about 4-5 years...will not ever be going back to this establishment.

It closes too early on the weekends, the only hamstring machine is isolated to the 30 minute express, no squat rack and you can only do bench presses with those safety machines. If you want to be a serious lifter dont go here the equipment is really lacking.

Great convenient place to work out, employees are very nice. Only negative is laziness of customers not whipping equipment down when they are finished.

This gym is very clean and is never overcrowded. It offers an array of equipment for a great workout. The membership is definitely worth it.

First time at this gym and the employees there were very friendly and extremely helpful. All the equipment and locker room were kept very clean as well.

The business people are wise. They are easy to sign up with and they take your money quickly. If you want to cancel your membership however, you have to send them a letter that is notarized and a signature and the witness has to be the former president of the United States. Then you have to go to the local office (mind you that my local office was 3 hours away because I moved) and have them print off paper work to sign. Then it will take a few months for them to stop stealing money out of your bank.

Why is it so hard to cancel membership. We have not been for 2 years and just got charged $80 again. Update* still getting charged, CANNOT cancel online or over the phone! I can cancel insurance online or over the phone but not Planet Fitness! Also very annoyed because although I have spoken to them several times they never bothered to inform me that we could at least freeze our accounts until we could come in. That may have been helpful don’t you think?! All they care about is the almighty $$$$ of course. We’ll be going to GOLDS Gym where they are at least courteous and helpful when it comes to managing your account!

For the past couple of Sundays it hasnt opened on time. Kinda frustrating when you work nights and on lunch break.

Just went for the first time since the pandemic shut everything. I was very happy to see precautions in place. You need to wear a mask except when you are actively working out but I wore mine the entire time (Im not taking chances). Everyone there did wipe the equipment down after using it which was reassuring to see. I really enjoyed being back.

Clean and they care about really helping you with your goals. Love the My Zone to keep you motivated.

First time to this location. It wasnt bad, but I didnt find the exact piece of equipment I was looking for that I use at my home gym. Still wasnt a bad spot.

Joined called and had to cancel membership was told I had to come in before the 15th. I went in the first time on the 1st was told they would not charge my account. Well first it was 50 dollars now its 47. Called they said there is nothing they can do because they lady who makes the decisions on not charging didnt want to come out and speak to me. I flagged and had to close my bank account. I havent been in 2 months and they are still trying to charge me I would not stay away all they do is lie and steal your money

Very clean facility with staff that is willing to help. Staff is constantly busy cleaning and maintaining the machines. This location works hard to maintain a friendly atmosphere that is welcoming for all who want to focus on fitness and achieve goals. Shower and restroom facilities are also well maintained.

Staff are always super helpful, and always make me feel welcomed when coming in. Very friendly staff that make you feel appreciated, and bring their staff and member relations to a first name basis. Honestly it feels like family.

My friends and i tried the gym out for the day. Courtney, Alex and Nikki were all very helpful in answering all our questions and were very kind to us

I had a membership there for over a year and decided to cancel bwcause the employee named sarah was very unprofessional and harassed me everytime i went in. So i canceled dont go here

We joined over a year ago before covid. People will not wipe off machines so we started wipping off machines before using. After covid started we stopped going. They automatically charged renewal fee and monthly fees. We had to go in to stop payment while we were there same thing is still going on People still not cleaning machines after using. Noone enforces it and they dont pay attention to this at all.

I wish they had a sauna. The location off of SR 200 has more equipment.

I joined this gym right after the gym reopened because of the pandemic. The staff is constantly sanitizing the equipment. The staff always greets you with a smile. If you are looking for a gym look no further.

Whether you need a discount place to work out, or the black card with massage and tanning beds, its a great deal. Everyone seems friendly and helpful. Its clean and had really good hours.

A woman showed us around but I have no idea what any of the machines are for. Ive never been to a gym before so it was all new to me. She didnt really explain much except the pricing.

There has been no concern for its members with the spread of this virus happening now. I have witnessed the manager using a swifter duster top to bottom on an entire row of machines and then an elderly gentleman starts his workout on one of the machines in that row. This is not the only time; I witness the same dusting on all the equipment. This virus may not be in Ocala Fl today but might be tomorrow. This is my personal gym. I have been a member for a few years but this week I have witnessed no regard from the staff for its members health. I find this appalling considering the elderly membership at this gym. I have observed no staff member sanitizing any machine or even a door handle. I only want action taken for members. I will update and change my review when I see a change at my gym ASAP.

My experience at Planet Fitness was awful! The manager, Bill, was rude, had a very nasty attitude and told me ..If I didnt like it, To leave.. You dont have to come here.. If this is how paying customers get treated, this WILL be my last visit! Anybody working as Customer Service should have a positive attitude, respectful and follow the motto.. customers are ALWAYS right.. To have a business, you need customers, to keep customers, you have to keep them happy and if you keep them happy, they will keep paying to come. With managers like Bill, Planet Fitness will soon have no customers! Planet Fitness needs to hire the correctly skilled people for jobs.. If it allowed me to rate zero stars, this review would have a zero star for my experience! Also, I will tell my friends and make sure everyone knows that Planet Fitness has HORRIBLE customer service and to not go there! Hope you correct Bills position as Manager because he cant fulfill his duties and make customers happy and have a good experience while they are working out. If anything, he should be a Janitor, they dont have to speak to customers, or have any other skills then to clean.

This is a great gym! I absolutely love that I joined planet fitness. However I hate that they keep cutting the hours. I would love to work out after work on Friday but now the hours are cut again. Im not sure if this location is closing or under staffed, but its unfortunate.

I have never felt more welcomed walking into an establishment as I did when I went into this Planet Fitness. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the new equipment is amazing. I would highly recommend joining. Plus you cant beat the price, especially for a gym that is open almost 24hours.

Clean gym and plenty of equipment. The new leg press machines are tough on your spine. They also dont give an accurate measurement of the weight youre pressing. You are actually pressing some portion of your own weight plus what you select on the weights.In my opinion, its very important to know the weight we are pressing. Especially for those in training. Most of the new machines do not have cupholders or pegs for our bags, phones, water, or paper towels. Tanning beds are clean and usually no wait. Also take the opportunity to check out the massage beds. Its worth checking out!. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. That does make you feel at ease when work out.

We wanted to change our lives for the better, so we walked through the doors of Plant Fitness to make a start in that direction and meet Jan. She was very informative and motivated to get us on the right course. Every time we came in she greeted us with a smile and gave us guidance with the equipment. Unfortunately, we moved from the Fabulous Ocala location to the not-so-much Gainesville location everything has gone down hill since then, the equipment in not kept up with the facility is dirty and the staff could care less. It makes you less motivated to go when you have to walk through a wall of B.O. when you go through the doors.

I am a new member and I am EXTREMELY HAPPY. The staff I have met so far: Chris, Jacob, Lindsey & Brenna are very knowledgeable, courteous, and kind. I felt no intimidation by anyone. The gym is clean, the machines are in excellent working order and the staff is always available to answer questions. This is truly a NON JUDGEMENTAL ZONE!! You have me for life!

Just joined and it couldnt be better. The gym is very clean, the machines are in great working order and everyone that works there is extremely nice and helpful. The hydromassage tables and new tanning beds are wonderful after working out. Wanted to mention that their trainer, Leah is an absolute joy. Included in either of your memberships is Leah to design your own personal workout program if you want and will even take you around the gym and show you how everything works and whats best for you. She puts the icing on the cake in going there. Recommend PF highly!

Most of the machines are good. The leg press doesnt accurately indicate how much weight you are pressing AND its very painful on your spine. Its more trying to mimic a squat when what we really want is a pure leg press

Good gym, very clean during covid

The gym itself is nice. The bathrooms/locker rooms and tanning beds can be pretty gross. I picked this gym for the tanning and was pretty disappointed when I walked in the room. There was dirt and hair under the plexy glass. I cleaned the bed twice before I laid down and still didn’t feel good about it. However considering the price, I can’t complain.

I have been working out here for nearly 6 months. The staff are all very friendly and always speak. I do not have a black card so I cannot really comment on those amenities but the bathrooms and showers always seem to be clean.

I used to go to this gym 8 years ago, I loved it, it was my second home, ( lost a lot of weight👍🏼) until I got pregnant. I’ve tried other gyms cuz of the day care and it just doesn’t feel the same. I really miss working out at my gym, I just wish they had daycare. ( reason for my 4 stars) other than that I’ve had no issues, love the environment and the staff.

This location is the worst. Tanning beds, restrooms, work out equipment are all extremely filthy. Husband brought it to the managers attention and she did nothing but go back to her conversation with her co worker. It’s very disappointing because this is the only location that is near by for us to go to. We are thinking of getting rid of the membership honestly. The employees are always too busy talking to one another than cleaning things or doing what they should be. They even tried to send me in a tanning bed that someone was literally coming out of which means it wasn’t cleaned at all!!

Outstanding price. Great cardio equipment. The weight options are a bit limited; however you can always get a great workout at PF.We also had a really good experience with the trainers.

Ive been very happy with this no frills gym but there is an ongoing problem with keeping the towel dispensers filled. I was fed up and rudely complained. The staff, in my opinion, over reacted and almost had me thrown out. I was chewed out for 20 seconds but allowed to stay. Maybe it was a bad day for the staff and myself. No point in mentioning names. For the price I ll put up with a little crap.Some customer service training would be beneficial. I will still recommend this gym.
