Well today was my first visit at David’s Studio and it turned out be the best experience I have ever had in the saloon. He is very professional and precise at doing his work and most importantly he is very kind person. Loved the haircut and definitely going to David’s Studio everytime now!

Absolutely stellar service. David is clearly a seasoned professional, and was more than comfortable with the style that I requested while also giving great suggestions to improve the look. You arent going to find better anywhere else in the Bay. He is a great conversationalist and has a myriad of stories to tell if you like having a personable barber. 20/10, absolutely wonderful service. I will definitely be recommending David to my friends in the area.

David is professional and experienced hair stylist. I have tried different hair stylist in East Bay they havent done a nice hair cut for me. Finally I found my favorite hairstylist I am happy always with my haircut. Note: Cash only place make sure to get some cash when youre going for a nice hair cut.

Dont be confused, the shop is in the living room of a residential house. David is a little bit of an odd guy but very personable. I have been very happy every haircut I have had here. Very reasonable price.

David is a warm and friendly person, who lived in Canada for many years so you know thats expected. Im not great at small talk but he made me feel so comfortable in my first visit! He asked for what kind of style I was aiming for and looked at the pictures I showed. In the end the haircut was better than I anticipated. Was very happy with the end result with David punching way above his weight for the price point. Apart from the place being cash only, this couldnt have been a more top-notch experience! If you have thick unruly hair like me, this is the place to go for your next haircut 😁

David is the nicest guy ever. He gave a quality cut at a reasonable price. His services were very straight forward. Shaved the sides and back, thinned out the top just like I asked. Runs his shop out of a residential neighborhood, but has signs identifying his business. A positive individual with funny stories. I recommend supporting his operation.

David was very friendly and knowledgeable. His haircut was better than a lot of higher end shops. He used to cut hair for Al Davis, owner of the Raiders and some of the players. Interesting guy and a local gem.

Ive had haircuts here that top salons have not been able to do so well. Hes a very clean cut hair stylist. Explains everything to you to make sure that the haircut turns out exactly how you want it. The salon is a cute, very Oakland shop run out of his house and very high quality. If you want a good haircut without paying $25+ go to Davids.

GREAT EXPERIENCE! David is extremely accommodating, he saw me 20 minutes after I called in to make an appointment, and he kept checking with me to make sure the cut was to my liking. He is genuinely interested in your satisfaction with your haircut, and will make a real effort to get you what you want. Additionally, VERY CHEAP and GOOD QUALITY haircut - $9 for a trim and layering. Very kind individual, I highly recommend!

The studio is basically this guys house. David is a super friendly and accommodating person. Been going to him for a couple years and am happy to give him my business. Mens haircuts run a surprisingly cheap $12 and while theres usually a wait, its almost never more than ten minutes.Be sure to call ahead, its a one man operation so sometimes hes out running errands, etc.

David is the best barber Ive ever been to!!!! Im not exaggerating. He is so friendly, charming, and social. He treats you like a king or queen the moment you walk in. Do you miss how barbers used to be? Just go to David and leave the past behind you!!!He has a very decent price and gives a super quality haircut!! He wont stop until you are 100% satisfied!

This guy is the real deal. Gave me fruit from his garden and a great haircut for $12. He would be my regular barber if I didnt live out east.

Not for women, only mens shop! I called and asked if he did womens hair and he told me to come over. When I got there he clearly didnt know what he was doing. Cut my hair dry and too short when I told him 1/2 inch trim. Then shampooed my hair with conditioner. Then didnt know how to blow dry nor did he have the tools or products. I saw a bunch of V05 hair products and finally I asked him to stop, paid and left before he did anything else. Essentially felt like a guinea pig to him as he kept saying something about wanting to practice whilst blow drying my hair. Worst hair experience thus far. He should have just been honest and said he doesnt normally do women.

Haircut was okay. Had a customer waiting outside so I think he was literally wanting to be done with me as quickly as possible.

David was professional, clean, friendly, experienced, and honestly didnt charge enough for the quality of cut he gave me. $12 for a perfect bald taper fade was a steal. Any barber in the city charges AT LEAST twice that. Hes not Latino or Black, but clearly has experience cutting that style of hair. My man crushed it, I cant praise him enough!
