Dwayne, Jerry and the whole staff handled everything for me and my family so perfectly. They are truly A Good Shepherd, they compassion, they care, and very understand the difficulty family goes through in time like this. They genuinely care and want to help make everything seamless. They made us feel like we were theyre only clients! Everything was so seamless, they took care of everything and the things we didnt think of. During the process we ran into a small hiccup and the owner Mrs. Shepherd showed so much compassion as the issue was resolved it was amazing. The great folk at A Good Shepherds Funeral Home are truly experts of their craft. I expressed to my wife that I got a great feeling after initially speaking with Mrs. Sheppard over the phone. Upon meeting her, Dwayne, and the exceptional staff face-to-face, that feeling was substantiated. They are a courteous, accommodating, caring, and most importantly professional group of individuals that went above and beyond to ensure my mother-in-law was aptly celebrated after her transition. We traveled from out of town to FL to make arrangements and were made to feel like family. Extended family and friends remarked how well everything went. A difficult situation was made easier to deal with. For that I say thank you to them on behalf of my wife and family!

My daughters services were made last minute and I had never had to plan a funeral before. I went in, aside from the obvious feelings from losing my baby girl, with no clue about what I wanted. I was so lost and felt as if I was in a dream-like state of mind. The staff at AGSFH took care of everything. They even went so far as to deal with my son with regards to arrangements and I didnt have to do anything. My baby girl was so beautiful. They took care of us to a degree that I felt like family to the entire staff. Thank you all for your professionalism, your love and kindness to me, my husband, family and friends.

I lost my Mom on December 2nd, 2020 &’ I didn’t know what to do it was my first time doing funeral arrangements with all the stress that I had endured . My aunt was able to get in Contact with Mr. Sheppard and we were able to make Funeral arrangements. The experience I had with you guys was just a blessing &’ I thank you guys for that !! Jerry was with me every step of the way anything I needed All I had to do was text or call No matter the time he would reply or answer ! very Nice . &’ Funny Gentlemen... !! My Mom funeral services was very nice &’ I thank god that I was able to meet such nice people like you guys . If it wasn’t for A Good Sheppard’s Funeral Home I don’t know what I would have done . The way you guys treated me with welcome arms &’ Made sure anything I needed was done &’ The patience &’ the time spent on making sure my needs we’re met !! I never thought that I would be writing something like this but the staff and Mr. Dwayne Shepherd Sr. Did a phenomenal job with my mother who we lost on the 20th of April Jerry Ward and Brandon Brownlee went over and beyond in assisting myself and my sister in this difficult time for our family all I can say is that this funeral home is the epitome of amazing, cant thank you all enough for what you all did simply and truly amazing and Mrs. Adrienne totally amazingAgain thank you.

A Good Shepherd’s definitely lived up to his name because that is what I felt when he handled my father-in-law’s funeral. His staff was very professional and and was there for my family every step of the way. The owner Dwayne went above and beyond by driving to South Carolina for the final resting place. He even made arrangements with a local funeral home there to allow the family in Carolina to say their final goodbyes. I do not know many funeral homes that would have gone the extra mile that he did. The care displayed throughout this entire process cannot be matched. I am truly proud to write this review on behalf of myself, friends, and family. A Good Shepherd Funeral Home (AGS) by far exceeded my expectations in service, attentiveness, preparation, and attention to detail. My Grandmothers funeral was nothing short of AMAZING!We knew this day would come, but we never thought it would be now. When the day came that my Grandmother passed we were a bit unprepared for what happens next.One of my Grandmothers caretakers gave us the number for A Good Shepherds Funeral Home.I’ve never had to plan a funeral before and was completely clueless. I immediately contacted Ms. Shepherd who was extremely helpful in explaining what the next steps were and the role they would play. Based on the nurse’s recommendation I went ahead and proceeded with AGS.When I arrived the following day to complete the necessary paperwork, I was not impressed with the location. It was inside of an older strip mall and I was not pleased. However, the inside was nicely finished. It featured a modern gray and white color scheme, beautiful light fixtures which made the room bright, and wood flooring. They had monitors, speakers, podium, and a large space which provided the capability for slideshows, music, speakers, and social distancing.Mr. Shepherd immediately offered his condolences. He went over the paperwork, pricing, and details for the service. He also made a wonderful recommendation of Fairway Memorial Gardens for the burial services. He put us in contact with the young lady at Fairway which  took a huge burden off of trying to seek out an affordable cemetery to lay my loved one to rest. The pricing at AGS was reasonable and affordable,  and so was Fairway.Following the initial meeting, we were contacted by Jerry who introduced himself as the point in contact and assisted me with every single detail leading up to the services. Jerry kept me on track, and was extremely attentive.The day before the service, I met with Quenton to go over her dressing and how I wanted my Grandmother to look. Quenton did a phenomenal job with the make up, dressing, and hair. It was perfect! He paid attention to all of the details and delivered exactly what I asked for. My Grandmother would be proud to know how stunning and beautiful she looked.The day of the service, Yazetta, Amos, and Quenton attended to the guests. They were attentive, proactive, and catered to every guest there. They made me feel at ease. I had nothing to do but what I came to do which was to send off my Grandmother. They took care of everything else. They kept us on track with time, escorted me and my family to and from the funeral home as well as the burial. If we needed anything they were right there.Towards the end of the service Yazetta made me a bouquet by taking a piece of flower from all of the floral arrangements and handed it to me, along with a tote with the signature book, remaining programs, and other items she was safekeeping for me. Her attentiveness was outstanding. I truly could not have asked for a better staff.I say all of this to say, do not let outside appearances deceive you. I was a little weary at first, but they went above and beyond and delivered an awesome memorial! Thank you!

They are not called Good Shepherd for nothing. They are truly anointed, from beginning to end each and everyone of them made this process as easy and stressless as possible. They were professional, compassionate and always one call away with a prompt response to whatever questions or changes I had. Dwayne has the most humbling spirit that will automatically draw you to him. Clarina is such a sweetheart who will go over and beyond to make you feel as comfortable as possible, doing whatever is necessary to serve and please. Jerry is the one who holds it all together. He is a very kindhearted and personable individual, his actions were sincerely genuine and I will be forever grateful. Love you like a brother Jerry😘! They were more than a team, they treated us like family and we will be forever thankful for everything they have did during our time of need. I truly believe they were heaven sent. My family and I laid my grandmother to rest yesterday May 11, 2019 and it was the hardest thing we could have possibly done. What I must say is that A Good Shepherds Funeral Home made the process such an easy one. The professionalism, mannerism, care, and love that they took not only with my grandmother but with my family was incredible. They said they would hold my hand throughout the process and they did just that. On behalf of my mother, uncles, and myself we just want to say how grateful we are to have met Mr. Sheppard, Victoria, Dr. P, Chelsea, and the funeral director, Mr. Hill. These people made something that was meant to be so sad turn into such a memorable and heartfelt occasion. Thank you!

I handled the funeral arrangements for the burial of my older brother and despite the bevy of emotions from his sudden and unexpected passing, the staff at A Good Shepherds Funeral Home kept me fully intact. It was an absolute pleasure working with Victoria, Dwayne, Samuel Nakia and my old schoolmate Jerry. They went above and beyond, meeting all of our needs and obliging all of our requests as well. They were professional, but also flexible; caring and considerate. We held the viewing in the small chapel at 2760 and the then utilized the multipurpose center at 2716 for both the service and the repast. I couldn’t be happier with the slideshow and my brother looked amazing. Due to the COVID -19 pandemic several family members and friends were unable to physically attend, but the livestream of the service allowed those who were near and far to participate.This was my mother’s second experience burying a child (the previous burial was with a different funeral home) and although she was sad, she was extremely pleased with the affordability and the final outcome. The Stimpson family is forever grateful to A Good Shepherds Funeral Home, thank you so much!

This funeral home gave me a beautiful last day to say goodbye to my mother. Ms. Peggy, the director was the most sweetest, caring person. The whole team was phenomenal, professional, and SINCERE. my family was going to go with Forest Lawn at first for services but was so put off by their director. This funeral home was the best choice. The decorations and performance were beautiful. Once again I must thank Ms. Peggy and her wonderful team. ❤️❤️

This was by far the WORST experience in my entire life working with a funeral home. I really wish I could leave negative stars....yes it was THAT bad. They are completely incapable of meeting ANY deadlines. For starters they had my uncles body for a good 7 days before they even began work on his obituary and program. They would give me a date that the 1st draft would be ready, then they would change it. Then they try to play you with every reason in the book on why the dont have this and why they dont have that. ✋ Stop it. Then on the final draft you drop off the deceased ONLY living survivor son. Im a business owner myself. If u really want to see an irate customer, promise them something that you contractually owe them and then DONT deliver. Why is my uncle in the ground and we still dont have a death certificate!?A Good Shepherd.....yeah right!
