I have been a customer for Rothes for the last 5 years. I have trusted them with my car and have recommended them to friends and family. I found out about them from my employer who has trusted them for years. They are fair and honest and have the best customer service Ive ever seen in auto repair. Their work is always on time and they want you to be involved in knowing whats going on with your car and keeping you informed. They are up front and they give you all your options, so that you can make the best decision for you. They dont force extras on you or scare you into doing extra repairs. And they always guarantee their work too! The owner, Nick, is always concerned about how theyre doing and checks in on every customer. Every customer. I like that! Fast competent help.The guys there are friendly and knowledgeable. I took my Ford Ranger to several other mechanics and they all worked on it and charged me but none fixed the problem. When I got to Rothe’s they saw the problem immediately and now it’s finally fixed. You should give them a try. You won’t be sorry.

Had been experiencing a clunking noise coming from the front end. I went to Rothe’s based on a friend’s recommendation. Two other shops could not help me with this issue as they could not diagnose. Dennis called to tell me they recommend my stabilizer bar be replaced as it was worn out. After the repair the clunking noise disappeared and even seems to drive much better!Excellent job.

Trust them - they are the best in South Florida. Like everyone who drives an older car, my 2007 Caravan needs a little this n that from time to time. This time was a starter, something I would have done myself in my younger days, but now I leave that to Rothes - the only shop I trust. When I moved here 30 years ago from Detroit, Rothes was still in downtown Wilton Manors and everyone here raved that they were the best & most honest shop in South Florida. I know that sounds like an oxymoron, but they do exist, and Rothes is proof of it. Theyre not looking to Trump of charges for unnecessary services. They provided excellent service at reasonable prices. Id be crazy to take my car elsewhere. I highly recommend Rothes and constantly do to friends with car problems. I had problems with my 2010 dodge ram 1500, nobody could figure out why it was overheating, spent nearly 3 grand at other mechanics and they all gave me the standard run around and still charged me more to try and fix it. I took my 2007 Avalon in this week for a major repair of the AC system (evaporator leak). They did a great job with my car! I realize they had to take off the whole dashboard to do this and I know it is a big deal. My car came back looking great, there was no damage to the dash, and the AC is so cold! Feels great after being without air in my car for a year! I am very pleased with everything and Ive now found my new place to take my car for repairs.

I trust these guys. The recommendations they make are for what they think is truly best for you, not for their bottom line. Ive had that experience with them more than once. And as far as the four positive descriptions you list above, I cant think of one of them that they dont deserve.

What an awesome mechanic! It seems so hard to find an honest mechanic and are so happy we found Rothes. We have been going there for about 10 years. They are thorough and get the job done when they say they will. When they find a problem, they always provide how much each item will cost before doing it and always explain if its necessary to fix immediately or if it could wait. Amazing staff great service

I was aware that Rothes was a long established auto service business. I was treated with courtesy and respect on both occasions I have visited. The first was to check why the check engine light was eliminated on my 2017 Fusion Hybrid. They advised that the component was probably under warranty by the manufacture and to check with the dealer at no charge to me. The second was for a routine oil change on my second vehicle, a 2005 Mustang. I will be a regular customer as my former long term mechanic has closed.

I could not be more pleased with the service and repair from Rothes. They are very fair in their pricing and very efficient in their repair work. They communicated with me regularly and a major repair was completed in less than 24 hours. If you want a quality repair done at a reasonable price and in a timely fashion, I highly recommend Rothes. Great mechanics. Honest and reliable.January 4th update. Had to call AAA for jump start last week. Took car in for new battery and wound up needing new thermostat as well. Completely forgot about the $50 off a $350 or more service coupon they had just sent me. Doesnt expire for 18 more days, but they were unable to allow me to use it a week after the service. Great mechanics, but be forewarned - dont get preoccupied with a dead battery and forget about your coupons!

I brought my Toyota Rav 4 in because the engine light was on. They said the light was mal functioning and disconnected it. I paid for some other errant problem. A year later I was having serious gear problems where my car was slamming into first gear and chocking afterwards. I brought it in to Rothes and they said I needed to have the transmission rebuilt, for the amount of 3,800 dollars . This was due to a malfunctioning computer problem within the transmission. They would need my car for a week. Then I thought...If my engine light still worked it would have alerted me to a problem, long before there was damage. I think Rothes needs to take the blame for this one. Sure tell the aging lady her engine light isnt working right, charge her a couple hundred and send her on her way.

Don’t go to these people at all, they are not to be trusted. My car was misfiring and would not drive over 40 miles. I was able to drive the car to the shop and they made me pay $290 for full diagnostics. They did the diagnostics and said it was my CPU that was bad. I agreed to pay $987 for them to put in a used CPU. They had the car for a week and it seemed like they was having complications then they finally said my car was all good to go. I came in and they told me my car would need future repairs but as of now it’s running fine. I paid them and took the car, as I was driving it home I realize they fix the misfire but the car still won’t go over 40 miles. I call them and told them the problem wasn’t fixed and the car still is basically not driveable, they claimed they fixed what needed to be fixed and the car had more issues and let me know that I would have had to get the work done anyway. I plan to dispute the charge through my bank but I called another mechanic to look at the car just to confirm if any work had actually been done in less than 30mins the other mechanic told me the problem with my car which was the transmission was completely shot and would not switch out of first gear. I called Rothes to ask why was my transmission completely over looked in the diagnostics and they literally said to me and I quote, “We never drove the car to know if it was your transmission or not. We only did diagnostics where we thought the problem was”. I filed a claim and dispute with my bank and come to find out these scammers only replaced the speed sensors not even the whole CPU. Not to mention they lied through their teeth on the report. I lost basically my last $1000 couldn’t make it to work or school, and the car was repo’d on its last payment thanks Rothes
