The only good thing about this apartment complex is Lorraine. She is sweet, and she has good customer service. The maintenance man is also friendly and nice. There is also another women who cleans around the building. I don’t know her name, but she always has a smile on her face. Melissa tone when she has spoken to me has been very mater of fact without really validating struggles and concerns. For example, I had a toilet leak in my apartment that brought up my water bill, and Melissa stated, “ You have a responsibility to report this leak.” I am not a plumber, and I don’t have time to catch these issues as I work all day. I believe that, since I don’t own this apartment, if something is broken in the apartment that cost me money, the right thing to do would be to apply a credit to my next month balance. Many weekends, I have had to shower at someone else’s house or my gym because of constant leaks that require the water to be tuned off. Furthermore, there is flooding in the apartment parking lot, and I amNot sure where to park my car if spots that are not flooded are filled. This week, the amenities such as the pool are being turned off due to more water struggles. This is not the quality of Life that was advertised to me. All I asked was credit to my rent so I don’t have the hardship for a water bill, and Melissa did nothing to grant that wish or validate my feelings.

If you’re ok with not being able to shower at least once or twice a month then this is the place to be. I wish I would’ve taken heed to the warnings of previous tenants before signing a lease here, but I absolutely will not be renewing my lease. The water issue is a monthly occurrence & clearly it has been going on for at least 2 years now. How they continue to allow something like that to go unchecked for years is beyond me. Not to mention the water bill never being lower than $60, never have I received a credit for the water that I pay handsomely for but only occasionally have access to. This is literally 3rd world living. I have had nothing but good experiences with Lorene & Seth, the grounds people and maintenance, they also keep the property looking very good and clean. However it is time to focus all of that energy towards your plumbing issue.

Im reading the comments. Laughing because I got evicted from here for no payment. My car was stolen from the parking lot years back. They claimed there cameras were not working . Wouldnt help BSO to give any info. I stopped paying, and by the way there was water problems back then .Im going back 7 years or so. I finally paid them to get them off my back. You people should have done something . Since my 2007 Escalade never was recovered . I hope the owner gets there stuff together, but probably not

The only reason my review is a 2 and not a 1 is because overall its a decent place to live, but the water issues are just unacceptable. I understand things happen, stuff breaks, they take time to repair, but the water pipes bursting at least 4 or 5 times over the past year is just insane. This time its going on 24hrs with no water....A necessity in life. You cant flush the toilet, take a shower, wash dishes, etc. Now I have to go to work without a shower. I mean we must work to pay the $1200+ rent and God forbid youre late on a rent payment thats an extra $125 (which is mindblowing). To make it worse theyve not been proactive by offering water or offering to reimburse for hotel stays or anything, just an Im sorry. Unfortunately, Im sorry doesnt fix the problem at hand. In my opinion maybe we should stop trying to fix the cosmetic damages and fix the HUGE internal problem which is the plumbing system.

Omg Ive lived here since November and it wasnt too terrible at first. The people inside the apartments were nice but the outside is beginning to get worse and worse and migrate into these apartments. Since Ive lived here Ive had my phone, packages, locked in the hot laundry room having to have maintenance come take off the door knob, my knobs to my shower and bath fixed 4 times, a leak in the window pane flooding many peoples apartments, and a ton of water breaks leaving everyone randomly with no water! Please do yourself a favor and do not get wrapped into a lease with this place!!!!!

After taking a tour with Lorene kowlesser, my experience did not go well. As soon as I entered, I introduced myself and explained how I have an appointment for 5:30 pm. Instead of greeting me, Lorene replied with, Youre late!. I told her how I contacted someone to inform I would arrive late. That alone was enough to not make me want to take the tour by how she handled the situation in an unprofessional way and by being inconsiderate. While, I feel guilty and understand I should have been prompt, It was out of my control since the busses were delayed.During the trip, I realized I wouldnt be able to get there on time, by bus. Then decided to order a Lyft. Because of this, it took over an hour to commute to the complex from my city. Yet, Lorene is having an attitude because she had to wait ten minutes after 5:30 pm. Its not like I came after business hours, the office was not busy and I was the last appointment for the day. Also, she didnt even give me an actual tour. She just stood outside and made a brief description of the unit as I walked around. Which, did not even last five minutes. Basically, it was a self guided tour. This leads to my other issue, Lorene lacks customer service. She made no attempt to sell me an experience of how nice it would be to reside in Set Point Garden. Her whole demeanor was off-putting, making this experience unpleasant. Not only that, Lorene did not show me the gym, pool, tennis court or anything else the community has to offer.Because of this, I do not wish to lease from a place where residents will be disrespected from staff. Except, I never had an issue with Quentin or Melissa. Only Lorene, either way this discouraged my decision on making Set Point Gardens my home and made me feel discriminated against because Im sure her demeanor wouldnt have been off-putting if I were anyone else.Initially, my time, energy and money went to waste since the unit is not even available anymore. Which, I would have known if she would have informed me beforehand. Indicating, she lacks communication as well.

And Jill dont contact me as I have had problems since I moved into this apt in Jan. Maintenance has been here every month to fix something and your staff said the Apt was move im ready. Definetly was not.Update I read the management reseponse below and guess what the mananger of the property who wrote that respnse is not even on the property. She will be in around 2 when the water should be restored

I found the office staff to be unhelpful and maintenance to be untrustworthy. I moved to Set Point in October of 2019. Sometime at the end of July my whole first floor apartment was completely flooded. I had to stay in a hotel. Wasn’t reimbursed or even told what happened. My room constantly flooded whenever it rained. I put in 3 different work orders to have it fixed. There seems to be a lot of shady business going on there with maintenance especially with Vic. When I told the front office that I felt that my apartment was being broken in to and that I didn’t feel safe, Quentin said “Maybe it’s time to start looking for somewhere else to live” the statement felt a little threatening. When I noticed that my thermostat was switched to gas and not on electric (no gas in Florida) Melissa asked me why I care if it’s not affecting my water bill. Overall it was a terrible experience and I ended up packing my bags and moving back to NYC. I would look elsewhere, you can get an apartment in a nicer area with a WAY better staff for the same price, probably cheaper. If you decide to live at Set Point stay away from unit A101. I have never felt so uncomfortable living anywhere then I did at Set Point.

This place is a nightmare. I started my lease late August and every other week maintenance is over at my place fixing yet another thing. Please... DO NOT MOVE HERE. I’ve had dead frogs in my apartment (assuming from the broken window they took forever to fix), my ice maker wasn’t working for awhile, my garbage disposal stopped working. I came back home from vacation to my apartment smelling like trash and my whole kitchen floor flooded (losing everything that I stored under the sink) because the garbage disposal was old and out of date. There’s so many cellar spiders no matter what you do to get rid of them. The walls are super thin so you hear everything your neighbor is saying and doing. The space is extremely small for $1085 a month. They turn off the water due to some plumbing issues every other week as well. The final straw... I am now sleeping in my living room on an air mattress with my toddler because there’s a huge leak in my bedroom and it’s been 48 hours and all that was done was them giving me a fan to dry up the floor and my now damaged mattress. This is the second time this leak occurred. First time wasn’t as bad and I was able to catch it before too much damage was done and picture this... I am not the only apartment with this leak issue. At least 8 others are going through it too.

This is my 3rd year as a tenant and I have suffered two thefts inside property already (over 10k in value) and I’m pretty sure there will be a third one unless management finally decides to implement security measures. There is a few cameras around the building but none of them work. There is ZERO security measures as of today, ZERO. Properly renovated Security equipment should be NUMBER ONE PRIORITY. YEARS of security equipment OUT OF SERVICE exposes the laziness, complacency and lack of leadership. My two incidents could have been prevented with such a small investment of money and time from Set Point Appartments. Disappointing .

Set Point Garden Apartments are simply wonderful. I admire the inner court design style (all apartments face the tennis courts and swimming pool). Its clean, safe, and they try their best to keep the grounds clean and units updated. Lorene, assistant manager, was very professional and a pleasure to work with along with the general manager. I gave Set Point five stars because its an amazing property! Keep up the great work.

I’ve been happy to call this place home for 4 years. Through my experience the team overall does their best to make sure each tenant is taken care of. Even if there was trouble, they were always open to talk about it and help to the best of their ability. Throughout every bad situation, the office team was there to guide you through the process. Maintenance, throughout all the work they do, they manage their time to ensure your unit is squared away. I am grateful to have found this place when I did plus there’s plenty of events around the area, and more were developing as time went by. Security roamed around every night. Every person I talked to was more than willing to help. Advice to anyone that stays, please talk with them on any issues or problems ASAP so a solution can be worked between both of you. I’ve discussed issues early and late. You would rather be early and prompt about the situation. Beware and be mindful of new people in the office. Understand that they’re learning more as they go and be wise to learn with them because it only benefits you in the end. Thank you Jill and Lorene for the help you’ve given me. Thank you maintenance team for taking the time to fix any issues I had inside the unit.

Not an apartment complex, but a home. I moved here temporarily to save money to purchase a home, and because of the quality of management and the way that they constantly improve the facilities, it really made me think twice about moving. Maintenance are fast even on weekends and the neighbors are very friendly and its like its own community. Add on ample parking, tennis courts, two pools and brand new BBQ party areas and you have a great facility that a few miles down the road in Wilton Manors you would pay three times as much.

Ive been here three months and love my new apartment. I enjoy the large living room windows and looking out into the lush courtyard below. It allows for lots of natural light and the pool area is very nice. I like the large kitchen sink and the clean white look of the kitchen and bathroom. Maintenance has been quick to respond and Karla in the office was very attentive to an issue I had with the carpet early on. Lorene is absolutely wonderful too. Elevator and the small gym have a bit of funky smell but I never really use them anyway. Laundry rooms are nearby and convenient. The complex retains some history and charm but renovations continue and it looks like everything will get a paint touchup soon as well. Quiet and nice neighbors. Very centrally located. Park Lane East connects to Dixie and Federal Highway and beautiful Lauderdale-by-the Sea is just ten minutes away!

Considering the neighborhood the place is generally clean, but thats the only positive thing I can say about this place. The office management is filled with condescending b1tches. I relocated from Chicago to FL; needed a place to rent while I searched for a place to buy. Bugs and reptiles inside and out of the apartment. Bugs crawling on me and waking me in the middle of the night. I was told the exterminator comes every week. Somehow I still had bugs! Im lucky I found a place and closed on it and only had to rent here 5 months.

Now, I will recommend management to please check the apt before u rent them, there cracks by the hall ways and a few more that i have seen around the apt complex also inside the apts under the big windows where the ac scapes and cracks under the walls that separate one apt from the other, ANTS building nests, and the rubber under the front doors are old and need to be replace.Front doors are in need for a good coat of paint and even replacing the locks. These locks look old and even shake a little when u put in the key. This are things that could be easily be fix, and should be fix.I haven’t had any issues w the staff in the office they have been friendly and also the the staff that keeps the apt complex clean. The experience-- Ive had two unauthorized entries in my apartment. One of which theyve (the leasing office) fraudulently altered my service request and completely denied. The leasing office always speaks with you as if you are in the wrong. And, continue to make rules up as they go- ex. You moved in on the 16th but one one moves out in the middle of the month, everyone has to stay until the end of the month. In addition to that, according to person in the leasing office. Ive signed my lease authorizing unauthorized entries in my apartment of which is not true. I have a copy of the lease. Walls are super thin, you can hear everything (which could be a good or bad thing) a lot of ants. 1star is for the location, neighborhood not so great. But the location is close to a lot of cool areas (in an uber or driving).

I absolutely LOVE my little hole in the wall. Only asked for 500 deposite and first month rent. They accepted our relatively low credit scores. My fiance and I came in with a credit score of 500 and 550 at the time and still got in. Everything is done electronically, so going to the office makes it pointless unless youre changing your filter. Jobs are done on the 2nd day of request, the most. We have free BBQs outside of both pool areas so you can relax. Free printing as long as the office is open. Several washers and dryers by every elevator, but its a little expensive for my taste at least. Honestly, the only thing that would make this better is if rent was not high, water were included in rent and the projects werent two blocks away, yet it really isnt expensive if you compare our amenities we have as a community and all the cools things around our neighborhood.

Current Resident:The place looks nice on the outside, but living here is a nightmare. Our a/c is constantly leaking and there is literally dirt and mulch that come up through the actual foundation of the building, making the whole bedroom smell like soil and mold. There are cellar spiders EVERYWHERE, I think we clean the ceilings about 3-4 times a week. The one bedrooms are not made for two people to live in. There is 0 closet space, and the bathroom is very small. There is no privacy because the walls are so thin, you can hear everything everyone is saying all the time and im sure they can hear us. The walls are made with such terrible drywall that just because we have the bathroom door closed while we take showers, the light fixtures and towel hangers on the walls started to fall off! Dont even get me started on the completely rude women who work in the office. News flash, this place is nothing special! They constantly raise the price of rent outrageously every time you resign a lease. They claim its because of all the amenities, but the pools are small and you cant have people over to swim that dont live there, the gym is only open until 10pm and they have a new business center, thats only open when the office is open. So if you need a quite place to work after work, good luck. Dont waist your money here, when you first move in they make it seem so cheap and livable, it is anything but that.Updated: 2/15/2017Also had construction going on at 8am waking up the whole building. Not to mention the flooding the sprinklers do. Mold in the carpets on the bottom floor of the buildings outside. Had a conversation with an older tenant who said he was breaking his lease, talked to a couple also breaking their lease. Possibly breaking mine.
