Not a huge fan of this location, but I return because it’s the closest to home. Not great customer service and the free weights area is always packed. I consistently have to change workouts because I can’t get 2-3 things each visit free at any point in 1.5 hrs. Locker rooms are decently clean though.
I joined last spring and signed up for a Personal Trainer. The training routine is heavy in arm exercises with various weights. By mid summer I waas having neck and shoulder pain. Ive been to a few doctors. The shoulder specialist at Summit Orthopedic wrote me a letter stating that I need to stop this training. LA Fitness plans to charge me anyway.
Not a 24 hour gym, which is unfortunate because those are typically the better ones to go to outside of the small locked facilities. If management wasnt worried about price gouging, paying their employees and providing a decent way to modify (cancel) membership, Id say this would be a prime location to go to in the northeast metro area; but its not due to the lack of all the above. Its remarkable how being cheap can cost you potentially far more. Other than that, the facility is reasonably maintained so Ill give it a 2 out of 5.
Love la fitness. Favorite gym. Could use some new equipment to shake up the place.
This location is clean and more mellow than some of the other locations! Heads up...the Blaine LA Fitness is closed!! 🤔
Would be 5 stars but the pool has the usual water aerobics every other day... otherwise great.
Worst customer service EVER! In order to cancel the membership you can’t do it online and they force you to go to the location. If you get there before 9am you can’t cancel it because the operations manager doesn’t get in unit 9 am. I wish my day started then… God forbid you trust your customers to make their own decisions or even let one of you employees have some autonomy to talk with a client about what is going on and to cancel a 30 dollar a membership. Just ridiculous all around.Just talked to Trevor the manager (who finally made it into the office to work) and he said he runs the club but wouldn’t cancel my membership unless I came in or printed off a sheet and mailed it in. Absolutely insane.
Ive been trying to cancel for a year and they always have a reason why I cant cancel when I come. Im honestly thinking about cancelling by bank account so they cant charge me anymore. You should be able to cancel over the phone or in person, regardless of whos there. DO NOT SIGN UP HERE OR YOU WILL BE STUCK WITH A MEMBERSHIP FOREVER
Facility is pretty nice, the fee structure does not make any sense. Every day of the week the price changes for new members. Watch for a month before you commit, try to find the lowest day. Annual fee that the sales manager himself stated he had no idea what it was for. Got pretty mad that I asked for it to be waived considering he had no idea. Told me to find another gym if it bothers me that much.
Nice and clean! Employees were very courteous
The Oakdale location has a group yoga class in the morning
I was too naive thought they would care about their member, the reality proved to me sometimes they don’t. Besides that the classes there are good, l like the Zumba class. Considering if I should start looking for a different gym to go to.
People do not wear their masks over their noses as per the state mandate. When you bring it to the attention of the staff hiding behind the desk(who also dont have their masks on over their noses), they stare at you blankly. Even Nate, the manager has been approached repeatedly and they never make rounds and enforce the mask policy. Why post the policy, if you arent going to enforce it? Why are you not concerned about our health and safety? Do you want the business closed down again because you cant follow your own policies? I understand that people feel very differently about mask usage but if you post a policy so voraciously at the entrance, dont you think it should be enforced?
I’ve been there for 7 months. They used to have Wifi. So disappointed now they dont have Wifi.
Nice club! Very clean, wide variety of equipment. Nice pool, hot tub and sauna too
I think its ok. People that I dont know who train there, I think are theyre ok. The mens room and the shower is better than xperience
Nice and clean! Employees were very courteous
Had fun on the Racquetball courts
I was recently employed with LA Fitness until the man who assaulted me a few years ago joined the club. The employees including my supervisor showed little to no sympathy for me. I was not offered any assistance or solutions for this situation. They did not even include upper management in on this to support their employee. All they asked was that I move clubs or at least finish out my shifts RISKING my safety to be around this abused. I was forced to leave.
Manger name Augusta,Very Rude as a member some friendly and professional Courtesy should apply.I paid for a year membership and I dont even want to use the Facility...
This gym is not one to go to, save your money and go elsewhere. Very unprofessional and disappointing the things i’ve seen and heard.
Love this gym!! All the equipment is new, super nice location and facilities.
Outdated equipment. one thing interesting is that, they have new equipment stored in the closet,by the stair machines, which only accessible by a specific individual. not sure the reason why that equipment is hide away from the rest of the members but not that individual. He bought it ?Canceling can be difficult. more difficult than you sign up. I was told that operational manager is the only one that have the access to cancel membership, which is fine. What is not understandable is the manager never showed up on time. I was told that manager works from 9 to 6 Mon to Fri. I went twice during those time period, never there. Quote from the front desk: if you want fast cancellation coming in would be the fastest, mail in would take a awhile. Guess what, I got my cancellation confirmation email before I get to meet this mysterious manager.after all its a okay gym for its price.
Good group of people; can be busy late afternoon but enough machines to not have a wait.
I like all the extra space in the extra equipment . And the staff was really nice
Great Gym for a nice workout.
Clean and neat. Good assortment of machines and free weights. Pool and hot tub. Cardio deck, two large rooms for classes. Lockers so you can change from street clothes, to work out or swimsuit wear.
Love this gym! Been going here for years, great staff especially Chris. The equipment is up to date and clean, and the trainers are very helpful. Would highly recommend coming to this facility, always a positive atmosphere whenever I stop in👍🏻
I go here still because of the convenience and the price for a membership. That is why it gets a 2 star. The equipment is very old. I asked the manager when this was going to be replaced/updated, and he told me that the members voted to keep the old equipment. That is obviously not true because who would do that. This manager is no longer with this club for reasons unknown to me. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE updated your equipment. This company makes enough off memberships to buy new equipment. Please
Great local gym. They work hard to get you a good deal. The facilities are clean and the staff is friendly and helpful. Not the most up-to-date facility but there is endless equipment for anything youd want to do. Not very busy at any time. Great pool thats rarely busy.
The best LA fitness I have been in in the Twin Cities! Their kids club is well run. The locker rooms are kept very nice. Their equipment was decently up to date and there is plenty of room. The people at the front desk are also very helpful.
Large, extremely well equipped gym with very competitive pricing makes it easy to enjoy and afford getting and staying in shape. Beautiful, well-maintained pool, cozy whirlpool, soothing sauna, weights and more weights, exercise machines, bikes, elliptical and treadmills along with a room dedicated to biking, rooms for exercise classes with gentle, soft wood floors. If youre looking for a gym, dont pass this one by.
Decent equipment, and lots of it. My only complaint is that the sauna doesnt get nearly hot enough to provide the health benefits that a sauna has to offer.
Nice gym, just pushy sales staff, not uncommon for gyms.
Dont EVER use the locker rooms, the smell will give you more than your workout did.... and not in a good way. Everything always seems to be dirty and I swear there has been a half filled smart water bottle sitting on a machine for 2 weeks now... clean the place for the love of everything!!! Other than that good layout for what its worth.
Disappointed. In the beginning of enrollment, I was promised an additional month after any future cancellation if I paid the extra $$ upfront (which I did). I eventually cancelled my membership due to my busy schedule but I never got access to the gym after the month of my cancellation. So pretty much paid for no services. Staff couldn’t give me any explanation.
High ceiling. Plenty of spacing between equipment. Never really too crowded. Locker rooms during busy times have a strong odor, mostly due to carpeting in the locker area. Overall, I like the open space and availability of equipment at this location.
This is an excellent gym. My wife and I have been members for 3 months, and its the best gym Ive ever been a part of. Lots of weights and machines, friendly staff, large locker rooms, nice pool, nice sauna, and great location.
Decent, reasonably priced club though a bit worn. Could use some maintenance. OK equipment. Nice basketball gym. Three racquetball courts are OK, though they are located oddly directly facing training area. Have seen better layouts where they are located near gym or other larger area.Staff is basic, not too inspiring. Programs are basic. Price is less than Lifetime, but then the offering is not quite as stellar. More for young adults than older folks or kids. Some recurring maintenance issues with the sauna and spa. Pool chemicals sometimes overwhelming. Locker room has carpeting that is vacuumed but retains odors (and what else?). Could use more regular cleaning, stuffy (recycled air?), pool is often cloudy. Dont go barefoot or may catch something.Bring your own lock, no towels provided, few perks beyond basic exercise.
Don’t go here, it is a huge pain to cancel even though they say it isn’t. Will be contacting the BBB.
I love the gym but dont sign up at the Oakdale location or with Tim! When I signed up I told him I did not want to pay the Initiation fee or I would stay at my current gym he said I would not have to pay it upfront. Also we agreed I would pay $65 which is 2 months plus tax. I paid $11 to prorate my membership to the 29th of January when at which time $65 should have come out. They took out $116 on January 15th. When I called Tim back to fix it he said he would talk to his manager and call me back in 5 to 10 minutes. He did not call me back, and when I called him back several more times that day he refused to take my calls. I will be disputing charges with my bank. They left me with no money in my bank account but $0.22 to last me till payday. To treat a brand new client that way shows how little they value the customers! I guess once they sign you up they are done with you....
I only use it for swimming, but the New Brighton staff are friendly and the place is always clean.
Clean gym, nice employees, only problem is the mens locker room smells of old towels because of the carpeted floor. Other then that no problems. Do your cardio, do your sets, mind you own business and leave when done.
I called the personal training director to express a concern regarding our training at a different location (the Maplewood location doesnt currently have a director or anyone to talk to regarding these types of issues). I was talking to the guy and he kept trying to guess what I was explaining instead of letting me finish. I told him he was being rude and that Id like to talk to someone else. He said there was no one above him I could complain to so I asked for the corporate number. He tried asking me questions about my experience and I told him I did not want to talk to him and needed that number. He said that now I was being rude and hung up on me. Amazing display of the size of his ego and quite a difference from the great experience I had after him when I called Jerry at the West St Paul location. Needless to say that Im calling corporate to file a complaint on that guy though I doubt theyll do anything about it. Regardless, I just thought Id share this so you can avoid the personal training director in Oakdale. Hes a real piece of...Update : after calling corporate today I was told that there is currently no personal training director at this location so it mustve been the assistant director. So on top of his inflated ego, he probably thinks hes getting a promotion. Hell probably get it too and it will lead to the loss of lots of memberships. I say that because he reminded me of a high school bully who thinks hes smart when all he is is full of steroids.
Horrible!! I canceled my membership with Ryan multiple times! He told me he wold refund me my money back and has lied over and over again about it! These guys are con artist! Save your money and go someplace else! They will continue to access your account without your consent even after you have told them multiple times to cancel!Update! Greg just called my phone an completely lied about the conversation we had and was completely unprofessional and not trying to help at all! These people are con artist!
Crowded, all the cable pull machines have been down for months with signs saying they are evaluating them meanwhile their other locations still have theirs. This gym may look decent at first but, it fails on all levels. It is filthy and does not maintain its most important equipment. Their are many other better gyms in the area. I will be canceling my families membership to move on to better gyms.
Very busy during early evening, but nice clean gym.
Lets start off saying to all of co-workers at LA Fitness they were all friendly and helpful with questions that you have about the workouts
Needs better cleaning equipment.
The first personal trainer quit with no notice. The manager signed us up for a deal we didn’t agree to. The cancellation process was a disaster. You can attend any gym, get personal training at any gym, and even cancel your gym membership at any gym, but you can’t cancel personal training at any gym. Then, when you go back to try to cancel you get the runaround about who and who cannot cancel you. This is beyond disappointing given the amount of money we paid.
Guy at main desk too busy on cell phone to acknowledge me. Didnt seem the most clean. Equipment is old and not well taken care of.
Overall I like it here. Equipment isnt to crowded etcOnly bad experience was with a trainer there. Some younger kid with acne and wearing pants like he was waiting for a flood. Fresh out of college. So cocky and arrogant though. He even told my wife regarding her knee and working out that he could find out way more information and be much smarter about working out with her knee then she ever could be. This kid was pretty ridiculous. Once I uttered the words well Ill think about... he cut me off, stood up to shake my hand and said good bye. Biggest jerk that works at that store. Dont see him much now...sure his cocky arrogant attitude got him fired...However the GM was a real nice guy along with the other people Ive come in contact with. GREAT equipment to use too.
The gym is decent and I like my personal trainer, but i was there on a Friday after work so it wasnt that busy. I left my sunglasses in the bathroom and the janitor picked them up and put them in the front check out and the just disappeared. The employees described them to me and suddenly cant find them. They were a really nice pair. There is no security cameras and management kept claiming the employees dont steal, but yet my glasses are gone and they were behind the counter. Probably cancelling my membership.
I call this place the stinky gym. Its close to my job but the carpet through out the gym and the locker rooms retain the wet snow/sweat smell and its overpowering. Other gyms in the network do not have carpet in the locker rooms and gym floor. Otherwise it is not as nice as the Edina or Apple Valley location.
Its a standard LA fitness. The staff is friendly and its never too crowded. Great machine selection (in my opinion).I wish the locker rooms werent carpeted, and I wish the treadmills didnt interrupt my selected display to tell me how many watts Im generating, or how many mets I... did?
First, right at the top... Heres what you need to do to cancel your membership instead of trying to go in and do it...Go online, log in to your account, and print a cancellation form.Mail the cancellation notice to the address listed on the form. (The company recommends sending the form via certified mail and keeping a copy for your records.) Or, you can mail a written cancellation notice to PO Box 54170, Irvine, CA 92619-4170.Take pictures of everything before you send it in. Including the envelope with the certified letter number so you can use those records in Small Claims court later when you inevitably have to go to court against them.My actual review...No wifi available, and you cant get a good mobile signal in the building.Just a VERY OK place to work out, at best, until you try to cancel your membership. Then the fun starts. You see, at this place, virtually anyone with a pulse can help you sign up for a membership, but only one very specially trained person can help you cancel your membership. They will leave you waiting, wasting your time, telling you that the very highly trained gym membership canceling person is at lunch. The hope, of course, is that you will get tired of waiting, leave and forget to come back for another month or two.Additionally, the very tired looking, very out of shape guy with the grey and black beard working there (at a fitness place, no less) who apparently possesees only the very weak and very limited power to sign people up, and is totally helpless to assist you to cancel, and is also, not surprisingly, very rude and thin skinned (unless youre signing up, then hes chummy in the most contemptible, greasy, insincere way). He also apparently doesnt like to be stared at while youre waiting endlessly to cancel. Whatever you do... Dont look him in the eye. It will trigger him and hell puff up and call you bro, but not in a nice way like your bros call you bro, but in a mildly threatening, but obviously impotent way, like some beaten down husk of a thing that knows, I mean truly knows, deep down in the place where his real self lives, that hes no threat to anyone or anything except his own cholesterol and triglyceride levels. Also, if you finally get tired of waiting and call him out about their corrupt, lawyer-approved, corporate researched retention tactics, hell threaten to call the cops to remove you BEFORE HE EVEN BOTHERS TO ASK YOU TO LEAVE, which is very strange behavior in any context.Honestly, youre just better advised to send in the certified letter on your own and skip coming in. From what I hear, the expertly trained, highly skilled membership cancellation specialist (who, did I mention, is very rarely there) will only print out the form and you have to send that in certified mail yourself anyway. BUT REMEMBER, no one else who works here is qualified to do this. You need to wait.Dont say you werent warned.
Clean well equipped club with good free weight area, as well as cardio and large variety of exercise machines, pool, spin classes etc. I have one complaint though. Recently when doing cardio I am pretty much forced to look at Fox News, since 3 out of 6 of the TV screens on the main bank are tuned to that station. I see enough politics on home tv and news media though out the day and really dont appreciate having the Trump Show placed in front of the view when trying to burn calories at the gym. If you must run news channels, NEWSY just broadcasts news without the talking heads and biased spin. There are other types of channels. Maybe try the history channel, or Smithsonian, or Nat Geo on those screens instead.
Tim signed us up in Jan. Told us to pay 2 months we did, Tim said next payment is in March. Well came out in Feb. He ment to say 2 months up front. No apologies no passes to bring a friend. Reading post look like Tim does this alot. bad customer service.
Nice facility, very roomy, but under utilised space for a more variety of cardio machines. Staff is a little too sales oriented rather than gaining members as a club. Four stars because people and facility is nice. I would rather a 24 hour and no phone calls.
Very disappointed I asked for a free pass to bring my friend to water aerobics and the manager said she had to sign a piece of paper which ok fine I get it she doesnt have a member ship he said oh I have to hold ur ID... So after water aerobics was done we went out there sat with him he wanted her to get membership she said I havent even tried anything out yet so he gave her a 2week pass during them 2weeks he called her non stop... She set up a time to meet with him and bring her husband, her and her husband were on there way their and he calls to make sure they are coming ... Ugh... So they meet decided to get a member ship but with the agreement that payment wont come out til Friday, meeting was one Monday ... On Wednesday the manager the same guy ran their bank card 6 times in one day and then more on Thursday when they went to the bank to put the money in for them to withdraw the account was so negative.... They called LA Fitness told them what happened and to cancel there member ship the manager who was doing all this went back in and tried 2 more times to withdraw the money! Come to find out he the manager was trying to get his last bonus at the Oakdale location because he went to I believe the Roseville location... I am very disappointed I wanted to be able to have someone to go to the gym with and apparently they get screwed over I will most likely drop my member ship as well!
New management and staff in recent times makes this a friendly and well run facility. Location and parking are excellent.
I was lucky enough to bump in Justin Larson, Training Director of LA Fitness in Oakdale, MN while I was DESPERATELY seeking a fitness regimen for my 7 herniated disks, bad shoulder, bad knees and ankles that allowed me to step beyond the CONSTANTLY self defeating exercises from traditional physical therapy that have only made me worse for 30 years. I had watched great functional exercise coaches online and had sincerely prayed for my opportunity to meet someone with expertise in it. And lord knows I was so tired of the pool, not really developing any notable strength in it and had developed an allergy to chlorine (because I am one of those people with weird bad health across the board). Justin took me through the gym and tested my capabilities, the exercises made me feel vibrant and alive again. I didnt feel disabled, I felt ENABLED! As a result I am moving forward with a modest but productive functional workout that is a step better than physical therapy, empowers me to feel like I am not disabled and will help me burn off stress and calories while allowing me more muscle and stability. Its a VERY big deal. Ask for Justin and see!
They would get 5 stars if they stayed open as late as they used to.
I always seem to come to this location during an off hour or a snow storm. There have been very few people there every time Ive gone. Newer equipment compared to other locations, clean, and easy to find free equipment.
Good swimming pool, good hot tub, a good place to workout without the meat market type atmosphere. Some of the best membership rates in town as well.
Not too many people. Had round weights for me to dead lift. Didnt care if I dead lifted. Cant really ask for anything else from an LA Fitness. But seriously, it is similar to any other LA fitness. It is less popular than the University location and has everything you need to lift. Only problem I can remember is there were only two power racks but I didnt have to wait.
My only complaint is that they dont have wifi. Ive never been a part of a gym that doesnt have wifi provided for the members! A bummer. :/Also wished they offered kickboxing classes.Otherwise, nice clean facility with plenty of equipment and great staff.
Its OK. Its very crowded around 5pm - 7pm. Granted its during a typical busy time, but dont expect great customer service or a great atmosphere. Its a typical gym with less than decent equipment and less than average expectation.
Nice clean gym. Plenty of room and not very crowded
Its 2020 and we still dont have wifi....Dafuq?
Not too many hot girls to distract me from my heavy lifting. Not too many guys comes to this gym so more machine and weights for me to use for max gains. Like the low traffic. Locker room dont smell like ass. Most people that comes here just come workout and go. Not much of those loafing around. Only reason why i go to this gym vs. The midway gym.
I have been a member of LA fitness as an organization for over 6 years. For my job, I am around the twin cities and will often times stop at various locations to fit in a workout. Unfortunately for me, my closest gym to my home is the Oakdale location. I have had very negative experiences here and have attempted to get management involved on multiple occasions and have had no follow-up besides that they have passed it along to the correct party. My complaints include trashed locker rooms and facilities (I.e. trashes not being emptied regularly resulting in paper towels scattered across floor; maintenance employee being seen sitting down and over sharing her life’s complaints more often than doing her cleaning duties); outdated equipment; no WiFi or decent reception to even use my own data; multiple broken machines that are not fixed regularly; and their bar code reader frequently does not register my account despite acknowledging it. Overall after months of having a negative experience here, I have decided to go 10 minutes outside of my way to go to a different location where I won’t leave in a more stressed mood than when I came in. LA fitness is a great organization and frankly this location is not holding up to the standards of the franchise. I would not recommend a membership to this location.
This location for the most part, is always empty and plenty of weights/machines are available for use. The locker room is clean and doesnt smell like some other locations.
Clean facility with friendly staff and the people who go regularly are pretty respectful.
Nice facility, friendly staff and plenty of equipment to use. I especially appreciate that there is a pool and whirlpool.
I love the cardio and weight training areas of the gym. My problem is the Kids’ Club. A year ago, a new operation’s manager came in and removed nearly all (like 95%) of the toys in the Kids’ Club, legitimately leaving them with a few build in climbing structures (fake tree, hopping logs and a tunnel), some balls, a Cozy Coupe car that is rarely there and a tv. That’s it. Nothing else. Apparently it’s company policy to restrict as many toys as possible due to “safety” reasons. I used to be very strict about not letting my kids bring in toys but now I ask them what they want to bring so they aren’t bored. I don’t pay to send them to they gym to say, “sit on your butt and watch tv,” while I get exercise. How hypocritical. This is one area where I say the nasty, crime ridden desert in California that we used to live in is better. Their Kids’ Club was packed with toys of all sorts and they had more sitters. The only 2 reasons I continue to come because of this is 1) location to my house; it can’t be beat and 2) my kids have made friends who they enjoy seeing. Complaints about the Kids’ Club to the management have been many but they have fallen on deaf ears as no changes have been made and they see it as acceptable for kids to be in such a barren and unfriendly room.
I bought into a one-year membership almost a one year ago and got six months free. This club is very clean and has a big parking lot with many classes offered during all times of the day. 5am to midnight are great times to be open. It is very busy right before working hours and right after. There is some pressure because there is a commission sales. Move on and get past it. New Brighton and Oakdale are two of the best in the Twin Cities.
I go because it is close to home. BUT.... the sauna is not hot enough, the swimming pool had a band-aid floating in it, there was a disposable water bottle left on the floor in the shower area, the locker room floors were a mess, etc.
I wish they would open a little earlier.
Every time I come to Oakdale, I am SUPER impressed. Every interaction has been wonderful. The people here make this gym so great.FRONT DESK: I’m always greeted and they’ve been very helpful and kind - and smiley!PERSONAL TRAINING: This is where they have SERIOUSLY taken care of me. Aaron set me up - he got me a price that fit my budget and was easy/fun to work with. My regular trainer in Mpls left so I’m trying a new one in Mpls. However, I still reached out to Aaron because I was worried about finding the right trainer. He suggested Luke in Oakdale. Luke is a master trainer and I only had the ability to see certified trainers. Luke was nice enough to give me a session to test him out before deciding if I wanted to upgrade. That took a lot of pressure/stress off. But Aaron was 100% correct when he thought Luke and I would work well together - Luke was fantastic!OTHER: I have also noticed employees walking around cleaning the equipment which is much appreciated :)
I called ahead to ensure that if I brought my friend we could work out if I gave him a vip pass. They stated that yes as long as he brought a valid ID he could get in with my vip pass. We walk in and I asked to get him set up the general manager said no you cant use it during the holiday season, but I could pay 15 dollars for two weeks. We walked out and I plan on finding a new gym. No way to treat your customers.
Pros: I really like the layout of the entire place. Very open with plenty of space to lift while the cardio is all located upstairs. I havent been there yet when the cardio machine I wanted was full, so there is lots to choose from.Cons: I thought it was a joke when I walked into the locker room and saw that it was all carpeted, but then it hit me (THE SMELL). Good lord, you know what carpet does, right? Absorbs odor. And imagine hundreds of sweating men dripping across that carpet barefoot day in and day out. It baffles me that this is actually a thing. I can handle the typical locker room odor, but this is over the top. Consider taking that out. Also, there is no disinfectant near the only ab mats in the whole place. So you can imagine how that thing smells as well. Oh, and no WiFi. Yes, that might be high-maintenance, but it seems like pretty standard practice these days. Plenty of places that charge half the price and provide this amenity. These seem like pretty obvious fixes, but what do I know.
Nice place to spend the afternoon Im from Tennessee . The dry sauna didnt make me sweat like most of them . But great place .
So far my least favorite location. It is clean and has equipment
Sorry but we pay enough for this gym to have wifi. Everyother gym and LA fitness has wifi its 2018.
I love EL sauna, it is a perfect place to detoxify from all the drug-induced dreams created by the black smoke of our deepest desires. the yoga and meditation class are pretty englightening, relaxing, peaceful as well. they were nice to me and smiled and invited me in and i felt one with them. The girl that runs the bicycle class is super cool, she plays hip-hop rap music and she goes hard on the bicycle, i love her i want to ride with her all night long. the guy that cleans the place up is a indefatigable worker, he is guileless, he is always cleaning up after all of our messes, and he doesnt get enough credit. they need this to be 24/7 though thats what bringing the rating down some of us go hard al the time its in our DNA
Great gym. Very affordable and all the benefits of a community center.
Friendly staff and pretty clean
Employee promised a VIP Pass for me as a guest with a friend. On arrival we were greeted by the general manager who said that they do not do VIP passes during the holidays, nothing he could do for us since it was word from the CEO. Despite having called twice in the week prior to confirm this would be no issue for us on Sunday January 3rd. This general manager showed little grasp of basic customer service and threw his employees under the bus for being incorrect--lacks leadership. Very disappointed, certainly will continue my membership at Anytime Fitness.
Nice facility. Good equipment. Large, plenty of equipment.
Showers need to be cleaned more often but a good club for the price.
They run a shady business where they manipulate customers into memberships. They obviously just worry about numbers and have no interest in customer needs depending on the situation they are in.Talk to them about trial memberships because they will not bring it up and they will say your only option is a 3 month membership. They suck
I drive the Eastern United States so Ive been to many la fitnesses what I found with this one is its very very clean thats been something LA fitnesses and other facilities have lacked and on reviews that Ive read is the biggest complaint that people have this gem should be a role model to other LA fitnesses on how its really supposed to be
Decent facility but in desperate need of fans to move some air. A lot of their equipment is down for repair. Instructors dont show up for classes sometimes. Typical crooked membership fees, my wife and I joined a week apart but one of us paid more than the other. When we tried to cancel they apparently only did the paperwork for one account and continued to charge us for 8 months for the other while not returning calls to correct the issue. Had to go in in person to try to correct the issue and they werent helpful. Had to spend an hour on the phone with corporate to even get partial reimbursement for their mistake. Lots of turnover with employees so I am guessing its not a great place to work.
Equipment is good, racket ball is an upcharge but they cant keep any equipment in case you forget or dont have it and just want to play...Which goes to show they dont care much or want to make an effort for the upcharge. no wifi and no basketball league even with courts. Its conveniently located
Great judgement free place, large variety of equipment
The gym is kept clean and the equipment is abundant and well maintained.
Very misleading. Wanted to give zero star but that is not an option. At the time of joining they talked a lot and literally pressurized to put the money on hold for 3 days and since it was a weekend they extended 2 more days. They guaranteed me that if I decide to cancel, I will be refunded the whole amount same day and that was totally a lie. When I went back after 3 days to cancel, they handed me a form to mail in to their corporate office which they never mentioned at first. Its been a month since I cancelled and mailed the form and I still havent gotten the refund. And now they say that I have to show them the proof of mail. Really liked this LA Fitness because of its large floor space, racquet ball courts, bball court, yoga room, and abundance of equipment. Since moving to the Brooklyn Center LA, Ive been very disappointed that they have NO racquetball courts which are great for things other than racquetball.Fairly diverse group, though never felt unsafe or uncomfortable like the riotous Roseville club.
