The Planet Fitness in Oak Park is very well maintained, the staff are friendly, and most importantly the gym is pristine. What impressed me the most was a piece of equipment that had failed was replaced within a matter of days. Definitely a great PF to work out at!

In the middle of my workout I got kicked out of the section I was in for a class... no notice, nothing just told “I have a class so you have to go.”As a black card member I pay the same price as everyone who was signed up for the class so we should all get the same privileges since we are paying to use the same equipment.I wouldn’t mind if the piece of equipment I was using was located in another location but the wall balls and the trx are only in one part of the gym.I recommend putting up a sign or something 10 minutes before the class starts just so we can better plan our workouts

I work out at Planet fitness four days a week, they are a friendly, & clean place to go to workout without any JUDGEMENT..

I would like to start off by saying that this gym is not the vibe. Very amateur equipment. Terrible setup. The water from the fountain was definitely NOT filtered. The only good thing about my experience was that I was working out next to an absolute baddie.

It helps having a friend who is a member here. Was able to work out after my night shift at work and it felt great. Everyone wore their masks and social distanced. Looking forward to coming back again.

Theres a new manager named LaShawna and shes making me reconsider my membership! As soon as she seen the door open she walked away from the POS going to another computer. I was left standing there until a staff member came from the back. Said manager at this point still didnt acknowledge me i asked the staff member are you all trying to get everyone to use the app? And Lashawna yells across the way Yep .... I asked her named and made a complaint! She has a very negative vibe about her... Since shes been there I have noticed a change in staff. The equipment isnt maintained. I pointed out a jagged screw sticking out on a machine that can make contact with someones inner thigh she did nothing about it and that was 3 days ago. Today there was a staff member there reeking if weed, eyes low obviously under the influence and she did nothing. Hey Planet Fitness I will be saving my money and using my home equipment.

Very spacious, clean as with all other gyms. Except the staff are not that welcoming. Cant be bothered to get off their phone to greet you or to say bye. Not even a smile!

It was good, I was able to work out with no distractions and had no problems getting to what I needed at the time of moving to my next machine

It was my first training visit to this location and since the beginning of the Covid-19 Ive been very apprehensive of the atmosphere that Im in and very observing to the behaviors and habits of the people in it, but I was most pleased ti see that careful actions and habits were being exhibited from the staff and members which calmed my thoughts of what it would have been and I was able to enjoy my workout. Thumbs up to this facility, I say thank you!

My go-to gym for daily workouts. Not absolutely perfect, but no place is. For $10 a month, it does just fine...I do wish it had a sauna, though.

The name is so fitting because this place is out of this world. It is a planet of its own. There is no way anyone can beat that price. Who couldnt afford $22 a month for the ultimate selection in State-of-the-art machines, never a wait to use any of the machines, extreme cleanliness, immaculate showers/locker rooms, amazing massage chairs, and the piece de resistance: the Hydro beds, which are the Cherry on top. Ive taken people who were so adverse to going to the gym & turned them into PF lovers.

This location goes beyond the states mandate of social distancing. There is plenty of space to workout to yourself. The gym is never overcrowded.

They are super nice and helpful! I never feel like people are watching me or feel uncomfortable! Its an affordable price for a ton of equipment and they are really good about keeping it clean!! Absolutely recommend!

The gym closed in March and stopped automatically charging my account. When it apparently reopened in September, they snuck out an automatic fee and unfroze the automatic charges from then on regardless of whether I had been actively attending or not.When I asked for a cancellation due to safety concerns and a refund on the charges (that they reactivated without confirming with me beforehand), I was told they werent accepting refunds even though I havent been anywhere near the gym sense the pandemic began...

Great staff and environment

Nice and clean. A lot of space. Even it is little far from my house or work, I like the oak park than my gold gym or any other planet fitness.

The staff are very professional and friendly. The machines are always clean and there is always plenty of cleaning solution and paper towels. They really practice social distancing all throughout the gym.

Nice location. As others have said it’s always super clean. The staff are very nice, helpful, and welcoming. I’ve enjoyed working out here for a number of years.The only negative would be the number of outside personal trainers working with their clients here. They’ll tie up multiple machines or cordon off a section of the gym while working with their people. I’ve been told that it’s Planet Fitness’ policy that there is to be no outside trainers but I see it at least once or twice a week. It makes getting a decent work out a real hassle at times. If you report it to the front desk, they will sometimes talk to the person but then again sometimes not.

Just being in the parking lot of PF it makes you want to run from the car to the treadmill....it naturally motivates you! When you have a motto of judgment free zone already makes you feel comfortable and you could just be you without feeling ashamed! The staff is very sweet and makes you feel like $1000000! They always have a smile on their face! One of the ladies who works there should be on a Crest commercial thats how bright her smile is! Every day I say to myself Ive gotta go to PF!! You feel rejuvenated and a whole new person after every workout! If PF stands for Planet Fitness but it also stands for Perfect Family!

Great workout place

I travel quite a bit and always look for a PF. This is by far one of the cleanest locations I have been to. And not just a one time fluke but consistently day after day! The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. They definitely need to be a training facility; other locations could benefit by learning from them!!!

They provide clean facilities, equipment, a big variety of classes, and my favorite part of the day after my workout relaxation!!

Very misleading staff. I have been a member with Planet Fitness off an on for years. I contacted the staff about the annual fee as I had planned on cancelling prior to it being pulled from my account. The staff advised it would pull on the 17th of February. I check my account and see it was pulled on the 1st of February. I called and spoke with the manager who advised the fee is non refundable and apologized for the staffs mistake.. I want a refund not an apology. Will be reporting this to the BBB.

When I first moved back this location was extremely clean in all areas. It appears to have slacked off on cleanliness especially in the stretching area. The floor often has dust bunnies and hair. Its just not the same attention to detail. Its still my home club.

The best Detroit area location. 30 min zone, abs station and abs/stretch section. Hydro Beds and Total Body Enhancement machine.Best Black Card Spa area.Great for late-night workouts

I have been to many different planet fitness locations around the US, this one is the cleanest and well kept up. Everything looks brand new, the hours are amazing and the staff super nice, I had an issue with my key card and they took care of it efficiently and still keeping the smiles on. Thank you!

Too ghetto dont like it

Watch out- I enjoyed this planet fitness location for a couple of years but when it came time to cancel my membership, the front desk attendant did not do it properly and a few months later, they refuse to refund me. It was so embarrassing that they (including regional management) acted like I was lying about it. The fact that PF employees failed to do their task should not impact me- any other business with customer service experience would understand that.

Go here a lot. It is nice and straight to the point.

Love being able to workout, tan, etc. @ anytime thats convenient...24 hour hours are perfect w/ a busy schedule. Always spotless, staff is always friendly & you cant beat the membership cost!!

I used to go to this location fairly regularly. It is clean and has a lot of machines. The workers have always been very friendly. Probably the best PF location Ive been to.

Ive been going to Planet Fitness for the past month now and Ive seen remarkable results. It is definitely, judgement free and I feel extremely comfortable doing my thing. Its more inexpensive then, the YMCA downtown Detroit, where I spend at least $80 a month in parking fees, plus my monthly membership fee. Thanks Planet Fitness

Everything looks great. Im glad this location has opened. Its closer to my house. I love the layout. Super friendly staff. I suggest upgrading to black card to get all the wonderful perks like the massage chairs and tanning. I will definitely be making this my go to gym. Keep up the good work!

I came in the guy at the desk didnt seem like he wanted to help me. I told him I wanted sigh up didnt explain any of the programs to just told me . Its 26. Dollars to sigh up you need your checking account ect. Not very welcoming. Makes me very sad. I really want to join.

My favorite gym. This gym has the best workout in the area hands down.They have state of the art facilities. I recommend!

This location is by far my favorite! I drive from Livonia to come to this location, simply because the staff are so friendly and helpful, and the equipment always looks clean and well maintained. I Highly recommend this location!

I have been going to this Planet Fitness since January 2017. Thanks to this amazing gym and their wonderful trainer, Kevin, as well as my determination to be consistent and transform my fitness level -- I have!! I am fit, leaner and stronger physically and mentally.

Social distancing is good

The staff here are always super friendly & attentive to members when they approach the counter. Always a clean gym, clean locker rooms, equipment is never faulty & relatively newer, sometimes busy early mornings on weekdays & afternoons on weekends but that just keeps your workout interesting !

I was one of the first to walk through the door. It has a great feel. The layout is very nice. There are lots extra equiptment for peek times. The location is fantastic! This is my favorite Planet Fitness Ive been to in MI. During what should be peak after work hours there is always plenty of space and you are never waiting for any cardio equipment, or long for any of the machines. The strength training area is usually occupied by guys but this is common at any gym. It is a little weird that their 30 minute express workout station is in the very middle of the gym (fishbowl feel), everything else is awesome. Would visit again.

Great gym but trying to cancel a membership can get a little dicey. They require a written cancellation notice however they will not send you a written confirmation even after I asked them twice

I love this gym! While they are missing some equipment such as punching bag or more weights; for me this gym has some of the essential things for me to workout. The service is great and Im greeted every time I walk in.
