A good traditional mans haircut, the only thing is that wasnt what I specifically asked for and at $45 I expected better.Scheduling, the hours posted on the door and website are incorrect. I returned to try it again and the stylist was 15 minutes late for the appointment again.

Tony is a great barber. He cuts my sons and my hair. I have been going to Westgate for years.

Not sure what I’m doing wrong. There’s nothing on business or website regarding appointments, but they don’t keep their posted hours. i.e, right now it’s a Wednesday at 7:45pm, and it’s dark and locked. Says open until 9pm. Happened last time I tried to go about a month ago. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Tony is the best. Moved out of Oak Park and get a haircut everytime I come back. No comparison.

So, I had a good haircut. Thing is after an hour or so of chatting w barber Lisa throughout haircut, she didnt have receipts to process transaction. This confused me as I didnt want a receipt. After 10 minutes of waiting, no solutions, her calling colleagues, I offered to go to an ATM and pull cash. I am a repeat customer here and a local. She asked me for my ID while I grabbed cash across street. I honestly could not believe it and found this offensive given long standing business relationship.Think it was just plain disappointing to offer a solution, be a repeat customer and local, and treated this way. Not going back, especially if mutual respect not there.How would you feel if your local barber did this to you because their system was down?

Fantastic! Took care of me and my groomsmen before my wedding. Very accommodating and friendly. Definitely worth getting the more expensive beard treatment.

This review is long overdue. I have a relationship with Ava at Westgate Barbers that goes back a long time. Dont worry it is a strictly professional relationship. She cuts my hair the way I like it done and I pay her fee (and of course a tip.) I could not be more satisfied.The shop is well located in the heart of booming downtown Oak Park and comfortable and welcoming.I sit there as Ava does my simple old man haircut and watch as the customer in the next chair is having his facial hair sculpted into a work of art. Watching that makes me wish I could grow a face full of hair. (But I really dont think my wife would like the feel of my facial hair rubbing on her.)

I was in search of a new barber and decided to give Tony at Westgate a try. I gave him a little direction, showed him a picture, he asked some questions, and the result was great! I liked that he sought confirmation on the style before he buzzed away. The shop is conveniently located, well appointed, peaceful, yet busy enough that you feel like youre getting service from experienced barbers. I plan to return.

Lisa was superb...and I can get admittedly picky and anxious about my hair and beard, especially for my first visits. Great attention to detail. Relaxing atmosphere with a classic barbershop feel. Transformed me from caveman to more of a gent.ALSO, huge bonus points required to Lisa here. Never before have I had somebody tell me to come back in a few days to get sorted out for free (within fair reason) if I found any stray hairs or goofs.*ZERO goofs found or at all expected. Flawless.

Tony is the greatest barber in there, he takes his time to make sure it is done to your perfection Im really satisfied with the job he does I recommend you guys to go to Tony.

Tony is great, however the older lady with dark hair have me the worst haircut I have ever got. It was not even remotely close to what I asked for. Both sides of my head are completely uneven (very visibly). The hair appears completely staggered instead of faded. Its probably over an inch longer on the top than what I asked for. And to top it all off it took almost an hour for me to walk out of there with worse hair than when I walked in. I cant begin to explain how dissatisfied I am. The only reason Im giving it 3 stars is because the last two appointments I had with Tony were great (exceeded expectations). I dont usually write reviews but for this level of disappointment I had to.

These guys knows how to give you a good cut— tailored to your liking. Came in as a walk-in, not from the area, and they did not disappoint.
