Took a Florentine wedding band in for repairs and to resize it. I had to cut it off of my finger after wearing it for 35 years because I had gained weight and could not get it off my Fat finger. I was told it would have a solid bar filling the space and I was ok with that!!I picked it up and was Shocked to see that it was as good as new and I could not even see where it was seamed together!!Lyla Jewelers exceeded my expectations! The shop had been recommended to me by a friend at work. One Sat, I took my most precious piece of jewelry in for repair and sizing(my wedding rings). I came to Lyla Jewelers today as I was getting new watch batteries for my wifes non functioning watches as a birthday present. I went to a watch battery place but four of them I was told required a jewelers attention. Lyla Jewelers was in the area and I went there on a recommendation. Stepping inside I could see this was a very elegant jewelers who dealt in classy jewelry, what attention would they pay to our mass market watches. I was so pleasantly surprised with the warm welcome our humble watches received. Obviously this was a skilled operation as the other place wanted no part of it. They were given new batteries very efficiently and at a fair price. I was given exactly the same courtesy as a person doing high end shopping and having a classic piece repaired. Truly they are surely expert jewelers and behave to all as gentlemen and ladies of the old school. Their array of fine jewelry while not the object of my visit looked like it was capable of pleasing many different tastes. Five Stars

A week ago, I left my most precious piece of jewery at Lyla Jewerlers. The item is my wedding ring set. My large diamond setting had fallen out and a few smaller diamonds had been lost. Lyla replaced the smaller diamonds, reset and secured my larger diamond and polished the ring so well, it looks amazingly NEW!!! The Jewerler is professional, prompt and extremely caring. Turned my deceased father’s wristwatch into a timeless treasure. Young Omar asked if he could make some suggestions and asked if he could take it from there and did, turning our dad’s watch from IBM into a handsome jewelry piece. Omar also suggested that in my line of work I should get a functioning Apple Watch which has been a great working tool. With the closure of our local jewelry store it’s great to know Lyla Jewelry west on 95th Street in Oak Lawn is owned by such a great family. My Dad would be pleased to know his watch will be there for all special occasions with our family.

I have been a customer of Lyla Jewelers for many years. They have never let me down. I dont buy diamonds, etc., but I frequently need repairs/bands for my watches, and my most recent smart watch came with a band that was much too small for my big wrist. They were able to fit the watch with a new band in no time. While I was there, I asked if they could clean the one piece of real jewelry that I own, a gold chain/anchor necklace that I have worn for over thirty years. It had gotten very dingy after all that time, but they were able to clean it up and now it looks like it is brand new again! While there was of course a charge for the watch band, they wouldnt take a penny for cleaning my necklace. They are great people and I would recommend them to anyone who needs anything from simple watch repairs to that really special diamond ring. They have it all, they do it all, and they always treat you like family!

I druve past this store frequently so I decided to check them out when the clasp on my sterling silver hoop broke. Staff was very helpful and offered to straighten out my other hoop when she noticed it was a little misshapen. I forgot her name but she also assisted in looking for a missing style since I had lost a 14k gold hoop. I will definitely return to purchase some jewelry and for more repairs. Earring looked great and the repair price was fair.

The service I received at Lyla Jewelers was FANTASTIC! I had a few pieces of costume jewelry from my Mother and my Husbands Great Grandmother. None of the pieces were valuable except in family sentiment. They all needed some repairs for missing stones. The final outcome was far better than I ever could have hoped for. The stones were matched and replaced, settings were reinforced, reset and repaired to perfection.
