I went there just to have a brand-new leather jacket that I bought elsewhere altered. Their price for the work was way better than a leather repair shops. Then I started looking at their leather jackets, and was so impressed with the better quality and way better and distinctive styling, and excellent prices considering the better products, that I bought two of them, plus a smashing one for my lady, and returned the original jacket instead of altering it. They have a full-service shop and will make a few alterations to the new ones for a custom fit. Mr. Angelo and staff were superbly nice and not pushy and not snobby like one might have expected from a high-end retailer. This is not the kind of place I would have ever set foot in before, but they have won me over. I wouldnt go anywhere else now for leather goods!

The employees are super friendly and very helpful. I brought in my fur last summer for alterations (shortening), repairs (closure hooks) and storage. I picked it up yesterday. They did a great job! Highly recommended!

I had a jacket refurbished by Angelos. I was assisted Alexi who was a consummate professional. Thank you Angelos, my old jacket looks like new. Job well done.

I went to Angelos with 3 furs that I inherited and Angelo told me my options. He could give a trade in value on new purchase or appraisal of what they were worth. One was not real fur. I opted to purchase a beautiful jacket and used the 2 furs as trade in. I got a great deal, no charge for storage for a year and he put my name in the jacket lining for free. He also gave me a delicious bottle of Olive Oil. He was so kind and informative and told me exactly what kind of furs I had and what they were worth. Everyone was wonderful and made me feel part of the family. I love my jacket and cant wait for winter. I would definitely go back and make another purchase. His son and lady assistant were also very helpful. For someone like me who knows nothing about furs they all made me feel very comfortable and answered all my questions.

Angelos has always been a great place to shop and they also did great repairs on my wife fur and on a shearling jacket i received as a gift.

Angelo thought he might have sold my mink coat, after I left it in there for 3 years. So, they took me to the back so that I could pick another coat, at a discounted rate off. (30-40% off)I was about to cry after we had a disagreement.I responded dramatically, you sold it!?He responded, talks loud: Blame yourself! Not me!We sent you letters. (Old address on file) As he was looking for another one, similar, he said we will get you taken care of. I said, It didnt look like that, It looked like this (as I stroked a beautiful dark mohogany mink fur.) Angelo talks fast, checked the tag, and sure enough my initials and ticket number on the back of the sale ticket! He was going to sell it for 2X the amount of its worth (assuming I wasnt coming for it.) We both looked at each other and smiled. This coat is at a sentimental value as it was given to me as a gift and worth more than the cost of what he was going to sell it for. 💜. They did great repairs on it and cleaned it, stored it pheonominally.I do recommend this store for everyone to check out once in their lifetime. They have nice leather and furs in here. Angelo is an original classic Chicago man yet honest. ❤️

Even though I was not happy with what happened at Angelos, after speaking with him we were able to come to an agreement. I consider that to be good customer service. He has been in business for a long time and he is a fair person.

I love this family owned business the owner Mr Angelo is always there and such a gentleman a great place to shop I have four coat from them, this man has great taste. Always a pleasure doing business with this family .

U can bargain with Angelo and has 2nd hand furs in back

This was my first and last time using their leather cleaning services. My husband bought me a white/black Pelle Pelle leather jacket. Spring is approaching so I wanted to get it spruced up! I called to get a price which I was told was $80 min. The representative who answered rushed me off the phone so I stopped by the location. Once I arrived I was told that because of the stones on the jacket it would be $200. Wow! Thats fine but I really anticipated seeing the brightness to the wrist and bottom trim of the jacket which was nice and white when recieved it as a gift! They told me it would take 2 weeks for my leather to be ready for pick up. I recieved the call to pick up my leather 2 weeks as schedule and was so excited to see it! Once I entered the store they start telling me how great my coat came out. FALSE!!! I seen that the leather was clean but my wrist and bottom trim is between a blue-gray. The man kept trying to hold my attention to the leather but now my coat LOOKS WORSE! The two men were trying to bully me into believing that nothing was wrong with the color. Yes Bully me! I was told about the cleaning of the stones when I first came and now they keep repeating it over and over to me while ignoring my issue. Then the older man tell me, Nobodys going to clean this coat!. This as good as youre going to get! I showed the man where you can actually see where the leather bled. After the fact he says he can replace the wrists but not the coat trim because thats too much!!and that I would have to pay him $25 more. Not only was he going to charge me to fix their mistake but I would have to bring it back another time. I was very respectful and never raised my voice but I was disappointed! I wanted to find a solution but the older man dismissed me while the other took my payment! I FELT ROBBED AND TOTALLY UNHAPPY the rest on the day. Maybe if you not buying an expensive fur and black your service is nothing. I called my bank to reverse the charges but I want others who love their expensive sporty leathers not to make the mistake I did by trusting them!

I BROUGHT A TUMI LEATHER JACKET IN - I HAD TORE IT REALLY BAD - THIS WAS THE FIRST TIME USING THIS PLACE OR HAVING ANYTHING LIKE THIS DONE - ANGELO MADE IT LOOK COMPLETELY NEW AGAIN - I WAS EXCITED BY THE WORK THAT WAS DONE - PLUS THEY GAVE ME A BOTTLE OF OLIVE OIL FOR HEALTH - I WILL MOST DEFINITELY TRUST THIS BUSINESS AGAIN...!!! :)
