Very disappointed with the service and professionalism with the manager which she claimed she was. I read all the reviews and now understand why they did write a review, just an FYI they expect you to sign a LEGAL document with a purple pen, when I asked for one the nastiest attitude stating “nah we don’t have any black pens here, is that a problem ?” I’m not sure who signs legal document with a purple pen now a days. Maybe I’ll be doing them a favor by lessening there work by never going there again. “Diane T. Wilson” is supposedly the manger, not sure how that happened.
Tonight, December 18, 2020, I went into the currency exchange to cash my checks. The teller was EXTREMELY(which is a understatement) RUDE, and very unprofessional. She asked for my ID, I presented my passport. She then said we don’t accept passports . I asked her why not. She said she didn’t make the rules, in response I said I understand but I’ve never heard of that before. She then asked if I had a work ID. In mind I’m like you all will accept a work ID but not a GOVERNMENT ISSUED PASSPORT HOWEVER I went to my car, brought my work id in and she then said it had to be on a lanyard and refused that. She then suggested that I called the number on the window and ask them why she couldn’t accept it. First off there’s papers all over the window when you’re at the window. I found what I thought was the number, yet it was just a random man who picked up saying that was just his personal number. Okay great. So not only was my time wasted I’m now receiving a run around. I asked the teller for her name she said “it’s Cinderella” I said okay what’s the number for corporate and asked for her managers name. Not only did she NOT give me the number and manager’s information. In the midst of me asking she got up and walked off and went to the back. I called the police because I’m not one for scenes I just wanted to cash my checks. The police arrived. There wasn’t much he was able to do but he suggested I follow up with reporting her because her actions were uncalled for as well as unprofessional. Overall, my time was wasted, I received horrible customer service, was highly disrespected, and STILL wasn’t able to cash my checks. I have never heard of a currency exchange to not accept a government form of identification over a work ID, but I will be doing a follow up. My night was ruined and my time was wasted and I do not appreciate AT ALL the way I was treated. This was a Hispanic lady, in her late 50s with pink hair. If you go there(which I DONT RECOMMEND) leave before you get started. You will leave with a headache and be very dissatisfied.
I’ve gone a couple of different times to this currency exchange and they always seem to be making their own hours...this was even before COVID. Went today 15min before closing time 5pm Sunday doors closed and employees still in the office. No where is there a new sign with new hours.
Arrived 10 mins before closing which is 8pm and doors were locked. They were inside and saw two of us outside and ignored.
If they had the option to rate this facility at a negative 5 star.. that would be my choice. They don’t even answer the phone. This facility truly needs to recruit better staff. Not sure how it’s still open.

Fyi, dont go here if you are wanting to use a credit card to renew your vehicle registration. They wont accept credit cards. Go to Alsip Currency Exchange instead.
I umpire for 2 Catholic leagues and registered to cash my checks there. I went in to cash 1 of my checks this past Saturday. After being the only 1 in there this past Saturday and standing there for over 10 minutes, I had to ask someone out of 2 people in there if the were going to wait on me. I was rudely told that it would be awhile because the 2 women were having trouble with the vault and that was it. As they sat there talking about nothing related to the problem another 10 minutes had passed. So I again ask them if it would still be awhile. The one girl ( white ) rudely said I told you we were having problems with the vault. So I waited another 10 minute . I asked again if it would be much longer and she said Im getting there while the other woman ( black ) sat there and did nothing but bs about personal stuff going on in their lives. Another 7 minutes passed and the ( black ) lady just started counting her bank. Finally after a 35 minute wait she opened a window. I proceeded to go up to the window and gave her a check from St Christina Parrish, where I ump. She played around for like 6 to 7 minutes and was told that she could not cash it very rudely. Told her thats why I signed up here to cash my umping checks. And was told that place of business was not the place that my first check was from, and said that she needed to call them to see if the check was good. Tried calling and of course it was not open being 8 :00 on a Saturday morning. I was never so disrespected or made to feel like I was bothering someone to do their job. Was handed back the check and said I cant do it . was in there a total of 35 minutes to be not acknowledged and ignored to being talk to in a childlike sort a way. It was the worst service Ive ever been treated in, in my life. These ladies and I use the term loosely were lazy and ignorant.
I live in oak lawn, stopped here a few times for quarters, all of the woman that work here and serviced me are really mean, always have a nasty attitude no matter what, extremely rude for no reason what so ever, if you ask any questions, it is like pulling nails trying to get any information out of them, not helpful at all. Its as if they hate their lives and take it out on everyone that walks through the door! HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE customer service. Corporate really needs to get in there and rid it of such nastiness.
I’ve been trying to get in contact with the owner of the currency exchange and every time I call the manager an African American woman says they have no email or phone number! I’m a little confused as to why someone regarding a personal business matter upon their store wouldn’t give not even an email for contact. This place is run by very unprofessional staff their manners and appearances are unprofessional and they speak very rude too customers. I’m a adjuster for the city of Chicago and I’ve call multiple times and have dropped by their place numerous of times and I will say these reviews are correct and these things will get handled. Anyone have info on the owner please feel free too message me thank you.

If I can only give no star, that’s the kind of service I got today, 6/17/20 around 11:45am. The associate by the window today, hispanic, short curly hair was very rude with smart comments when asked information about their Notary Public charges. I don’t understand why people cannot provide decent if not good customer service. If you don’t wan’t to come to work because you have a bad day, there is such a thing as “calling off sick” or “calling off not in the mood to work”, rather than infect people with your negative attitude when you are in the clock to serve.

ZERO stars if I could . I popped in to get my plate sticker and the women behind the counter told me I had to have my registration. I usually go to the one at 115th and Pulaski and they ask me verbally for my plate number and vin . The women here at 95th, with glasses and a dark complexion said I have to have my registration, which is not true, all they need is the plate & vin number to complete the transaction.She told me to come back with my registration. I went to my car and found it and was waited on by another woman. I asked her what would happen if I didn’t have it and she said we would just need you to write down the plate and vin .I will NEVER go back to this currency exchange at 95th & Cicero and employee who waited on me initially should be fired for being incompetent!

****Debit card fraud alert**** Don’t use your credit or debit card here! I had to use notory for some papers I needed and I didn’t have cash and they stated, I only have to use my debit card so I gave my debit card to her and it took about 1 minute or so to get my debit card back . Now remind you I never used my debit card for purchases or even withdrawal however I needed to get this done. So about thirty minutes later i seen about 6 different purchases at 2 different BurgerKings based in California all equal to about 120 dollars. Now I know it had to come from this currency exchange so to all be aware because again I don’t ever use my debit card any where else.
Just left there trying to pay a bill and the older lady never gave me an option all she said was it takes 24 to 48 hours then she tells me I have to tell her that i want it right away well hell if you dont say we send out direct then who the hell suppose to know Really lady !!! She was very Rude when I called back then told me there was nothing she can do of course it is she is just to lazy to do it void the bill and put it in the correct way but I. Will be calling Mrs.Elba today just very poor customers service from her !!!
The lady there today, black lady, ignorant as can be. Tells me a price for my plates and I’m all ready to pay and bc she asked me cash or debit and my dad answered saying cash an she goes “I’m not talking too you I’m talking to her” and my dad says “well I was answering your question she wasn’t paying attention” and she goes “well she better pay attention too me” *i was counting the money when she was talking* then she suddenly can’t give me my plates bc their is “maintenance” so we r currently going to another currency exchange and if they give me my plates no problem, then I don’t suggest this racist place. Chubby girl with dirty blonde hair was very rude. I’ve been coming here for years and have never had a problem. Prior to taking care of me she was very rude to a lady and her poor young son who was on disability. She showed no compassion nor could she assist the lady with answers to her questions. As I approached the counter she looked at my check and toldMe she couldn’t cash it. I told her that previously they had called the employer to verify checks she stated “ we can’t call after 5pm” mind you the office in which I’m employed is open til 8pm! I then asked for HR number and her name. She refused to give me that info then began to swear at me in front of 5/6 other customers in line. Customer service is horrible here! I’ve never once had a problem until now.
I been in alot of currency exchange places i think this place from 1 to 10 is zero. Staff unprofessional always saying western union down while all the locations around is up. Always looking for excuses to make your transaction not going smooth!!!.I wish people in this location change or go to training to know how to deal with people.

For the third time my significant other have to come to the ER. She has subdural hematoma withFocal aware seizures that put her in a Catatonia state. 1st time they sent her home with no test. 2nd time I had to threatened them to do their job. Now after around 5hrs & listening to nurses treat other patients bad I’m ready to transfer her from this ER. On top of that I just found out Dr. Alan Jackson a friend of the family from Rush hospital is on the board of directors. Do anybody on the board knows what’s going on. THERE ARE EMPTY ROOMS WITH BARELY ANY PATIENTS WHAT IS GOING ON.

The worst service ... especially if you have to deal with Ms. WILSON- and especially if youre white! Apparently when you ask a manager who is above you?, a good professional answer is MY MOMMA. 🤨 Though I came in at 745 am, she was late by 15 minutes, which I was completely understanding of; I was still denied service before the black and Mexican customers that were there. I was very patient when the other employee that worked there, didnt know what to do with an out of state title; or what the process was to get my vehicle registered; so I waited patiently for Ms Wilson to help me. When she came to the window to service me, she shoved a Natural disaster from at me and told me that I needed to have it filled out by the previous owner; that I purchased the vehicle from over 5 years ago, and that when I got that filled out it had to be notorized. At the top of the form, it CLEARLY states that the person that the vehicle was registered to at the time of the disaster needed to fill out the form.... WHICH IS ME????? When I came back to her window to ask her to read the top of the form, she yelled at me saying that she told me to get it notorized. I asked her if that was a service they provided, and she angrily said yes- but I dont have my stamp today!. Theeeeennnn she tells me that I have to pay an extra fee of 17 dollars for an out of state title.... when the woman that I talked to 3 times the day before told me a different price completely. I stood in line and heard this woman tell her co worker that she wasnt dealing with me because she was gonna cuss me out!. I went to the oak lawn location because it was convenient, not expecting that I was going to be treated like trash. This place of business really needs to clean up their act and the owner Ron Kaine should really look into talking to his employees about how they talk to their customers; especially his managers. The other two women were very pleasant. I dont pay high convenience fees to be treated like I came in there looking for a hand out.

Cashier accidently gave me a blank temp plate upon canceling a transaction..then called multiple times harassasing me, after 2am, threatning to call police if I didnt return temp plate immediately.
Stay away from this place I bought a GMC truck through this location and then after two weeks I find out that this car was stolen so I lost $17,000

Went in the for a city sticker and got a plate sticker, they did a mistake and won’t admit to it, spoke manager and she will not admit to employees fault, I called ask to speak to managerShe says she can’t do nothing about it (with a attitude) (RUDE) and can’t give us a refund, I say I don’t want a refund give me a sticker at no charge has us on hold for 15 min and then hangs up we call again and accuses us of hanging up, know I’m calling and they don’t pick up, EXTREMLY BAD SERVICE !!!!! We call again, someone else answers we ask for manager again or at least a name and she will not give us her name, So know we have a second plate sticker and still no city sticker .....if I can give her and her team 0 stars I would.
