Taxes done in a timely matter even though a wind storm caused a power outage right before my scheduled appointment. The Tax Preparer made me feel confident in my return. I found the price reasonable. I usually use the H & R Block website to complete my taxes but I had a new tax form and wasnt sure what I needed to do with it. I felt very confident in the tax preparer.

Always had a good experience using H&R block and today was no different. A CPA friend of the family does taxes in the town I am moving to and did my Taxes most of his life. He is also less expensive, so I may be using him while I live there.

Because of serious leg injuries I am VERY limited to movement at this time. The HR Block office I use has been FABULOUS helping me out in my situation! I cant thank them enough for helping me out above and beyond. So very much appreciated!

Have done my taxes here for at least the last two years, in this year, our tax specialist messed up my state taxes..twice…I spent 4 hours on the phone with my state revenue department to find the issue and had to go through a different tax specialist to be helped. The second tax specialist was/is super helpful and I hope this process becomes easier and I will finally receive my state taxes.

Sarah was very nice, and helpful. 2020 was a confusing year to do taxes for. I was promptly helped, and got back more than expected. (Which is just nice). There is no guarantee youll get more but peace of mind.

Stacey Chastain has been preparing our taxes for the past few years and she has been outstanding. She is very knowledgeable and professional. We felt very comfortable communicating to her. She patiently understands our concerns and provides us answers and explanations. She is very detailed and request further information to assist with our filing. She only offered additional services that will benefit us and did not force anything. Even though it was a busy tax season due to COVID and changes in filing policies, she gave us her undivided attention and did not rush anything. In addition, she provided information in regards to our business. Overall, it was a great experience working with Stacey! She is highly recommended!

H & R Block came to my sisters home. They filed a 1040 senior at no charge for my sister. She is low income. They made a mistake on the routing number and she didnt get the stimulus check for 600. We have called numerous times to have them e file a 1040x to revise the mistake and they have not replied . Very upset with them!

Price not transparent. My primary home should not be charged the rental price even if I rent rooms, its still my primary home.

Ms. Big was extremely nice and helpful. She explained everything and was easy to talk to. I thought my tax issue would be difficult, but she handled my issue with ease. The lady said that she made sure that I got the “best deal” on my taxes but charged 22.5% of what I was getting back in my return. Choose on her own not to do a standard return but a more in depth one because she was helping me “get more money back” but yet took a chunk... Thanks!I also asked if she could help me with a 540 tax return that is just for state which I wouldn’t be receiving anything back. It was just a quick form that I tried filling out online but it asked for a signature which there wasn’t a way to sign. She said it was super easy to fill out but yet charged me $90 and I still would have to mail it in my own. Said they were originally gonna charge me $130 but decided to lower it a bit for me. Thanks!Probably because she knew I wasn’t receiving much from my tax return and was charging me a total of 33% of my return when all she did was spend about 45 mins to complete that form and do my taxes.The last time I had someone do my taxes it was only about 30 bucks but I also went through a tax company that worked with the military. I know I bought a house but damn, almost 200 bucks is WAY more than 30. Hopefully next time I’m not deployed during tax season so I can go through that company again because I was not expecting to pay a total of $287.10 for less than 45 mins of work.If this is normal then it’s a scam in my eyes... I’d rather get my taxes rejected over and over again by doing them myself and just do the whole trial and error than be shafted out of money I earned.I thought the government was bad...

If I could give less than one star, I would.My entire experience was awful. I originally came in to have my taxes done, but the lady assisting me told me that I didnt need to do my taxes. Instead she said she would like to look over my fiances info to see if he should claim our child. I dropped off my fiances info since he worked on the days they were open. After about a week of not hearing anything I came in to check up. They said it hadnt been done but they would put it on someones desk to get done. Fast forward another week: I called to check if it was done. They said they were missing some info, I gave it to them. A MONTH of calling (after the cut off day) and coming in every single week, they FINALLY they notified me that it had not been done because they didnt have my fiances birthday (it was on the paperwork that they already had). So I went in and gave them info that they couldve asked for during the last 20 calls I made. The lady writing down the birthday literally had to write it 3 times before getting it correct. I watched her write 8 as I said 7 and had to keep correcting her 2 more times as she wrote the wrong thing. Needless to say, we will not be returning.

Ultimately, The Weirdest And Worst Experience Ever. I go in 5 minutes previous to Scheduled Appointment; and sitting around for 25 minutes..., Receptionist (no one in waiting room, mind you), argues with A Tax Preparer on a simple schedule check, and then as Im about to walk out, giving my reason for cancellation, i.e. inconveniences; them Ms. Guerrero could not process the review of documents required for federal and state tax filing. As a matter of fact, she was not listening, incoherent and wasteful in her office or desk work management. I was Appalled! Not Recommended to visit or work with them, here in oak harbor. I have used Seattle H&R in Downtown with higher volume and COURTESY, for several years. Such a shame ☹️ for Oak Harbor H&R Block. Awful!
