Great rental outfit! Made sure I had the exact equipment I needed for the project I was working on, walked me through the operation of it as well as provided helpful tips. Super friendly and fairly-priced!

The folks at Diamond are great, they get you in and out quickly and and are always professional and polite. They always have just what you need in the way of heavy equipment. I recently rented a John Deere 35 excavator from them and was very happy with my rental. Just a side note, if you plan on renting any heavy equipment please dont show up in a Ford ranger or Toyota Tacoma thinking that your truck is a truck it cant handle the weight. Do your self a favor and call a friend with a real truck or maybe go rent one it will be cheaper than fixing your grocery getter.

I originally sought out to rent from another company on the island but I was recommended to go to diamond rental.Boy was that a mistake!In my experience businesses are sort of a top-down type of attitude. If the ownership are good people, then the management are good people, employees, etc......I have been lied to by both owners. I have been lied to by the manager. The employees have never lied to me so I guess thats one positive?I also had my deposit withheld. $500 was never returned to me. I made it a point to power wash and refill it with diesel. Upon returning it I received no phone call. When I went into question them about it they had no proof of the supposed damage that I had caused. to make matters worse they turned right around and rented the unit out I returned. If it was damaged I wouldnt think that was possible.I made numerous visits and numerous phone calls and I was assured I would be refunded but that has never happened.Rent elsewhere! Get your deposit back!

I have had a great experience with diamond rentals.They went above what I expected to meet my needs, additional fees were required but they still met my current need and exceeded them.With prompt and quality service. I will definitely choose them for my future needs and look forward to working with them with my current on going needs.I was need of a wheelchair accessible latrine and they met that need at a reasonable and fair price.After they delivered the latrine I was able to groom and set it up to my liking, it was clean and not a eye sore.Thanks guys for all your quick service and help to meet my Hipcamp needs.

We rented an excavator from these folks and as is standard procedure they took a damage deposit.Upon returning the excavator in perfect condition they kept my deposit of $500. Nobody called me to let us know they were keeping the money. They never provided any proof of the damage we supposedly caused.Both owners told us it would be taken care of and I would be in reimbursed but that has never happened.The manager lied multiple times throughout the process as well. If zero Stars was a possibility we would have selected that!I heavily recommend you steer clear of these people!

Awesome place for rentals. Hassle free check in and out. I forgot to fill up the tiller upon drop off but the lady said not to worry about the extra charge. The website is not great, they have more equipment than is listed so stop by and ask or call to check before going trying another place if what you need is not listed online.

It was really good. They would have waited for us to get there if we were going to be a few minutes late. I also had senses of humor and were just robots.

This was my first and last time renting from Diamond Rental & Construction Supply. I rented a 60 ft boom lift to take down a couple of trees on our family vacation property, I talked with them about their rates and it was comparable to other rental companies I have used in the past. I set up the rental for two days and they did have the lift to me on time so I could get to work. When we finished work in the morning of the second day I called to tell them I was done with the rental and it was ready for pickup. The lady on the phone was very nice and told me they would be there that afternoon (Wednesday) to pick up the lift. However, no one showed up. I called Thursday morning to see what was going on, and to let them know that I really needed the lift gone as we have a narrow driveway and would have to move the lift every time my neighbor needed to get out. I was again told that they had us scheduled for pick up that afternoon and that they were sorry for the delay. Once again, nobody showed up to pick up the lift. I called them again before closing time Thursday afternoon. I was told that they werent going to make it again, but that we were scheduled for fist thing Friday morning. At this point I was getting frustrated by the inconvenience and I reminded them that i really needed the lift gone as I already had to move it multiple times and was burning the fuel I filled it up with for pick up. Friday around noon I called them again because the lift was still blocking my driveway, I was told that they would call the driver and get him there right away. AGAIN no one showed up. So, I called them again around 3 pm on Friday afternoon and let them know this was getting more frustrating that the lift was still in my driveway, and that was expecting guests soon and needed it gone. They apologized again and told me to move it to the public beach access down the road and that it was going to be picked up by the end of the day. When I went down the next day (Saturday) to check that they got the lift it was still where I had left it according to there instructions, so I gave them yet another call just to find out that theyre closed on the weekends. The lift sat there all weekend before I moved it back to our driveway Sunday afternoon before I had to head back home off the island. Monday morning I called to see if they had picked it up yet, and they said that the driver was on the way, so i conveyed to the lady on the phone that I was very upset about the service I had received, and that didnt think I should have to pay the pickup fee after being told that it was going to be picked up Wednesday afternoon, and ended up being stuck with headache of moving the lift for the rest of the week. She told me that I had to talk to the owner about this issue, but that he was talking to another customer and that he would call me back as soon as possible. I never did get the call from the owner but they did take the pickup fee off of my final bill, and I was not charged extra for the overtime and gas used.

If you want to find out why they are 1 star, rent from them. 0 out of 100 stars!

Jeff and the lot man were both very helpful. They listened to my questions and helped me solve my repair problem. (Blown engine on my John Deere yard tractor)

They have a variety of rental items, which could save a lot of money verses buying your own and not using it very often.

I have used them 2xs now for my rv and they have been great! Good customer service and willing to let me do a blackwater flush. It is a little more expensive than gabelein but it is worth it knowing what day n time range they will be here n not getting yelled at! :)

If I could give them zero stars I would. Needed to simply pull stumps up after dropping trees. Rented for the weekend to get the work done. Paid $326.10 up front. The company delivered for $40.00 fee on Friday at 12:00-- we got to work...worked all day Saturday as well. According to their records, we ran the machine 19 hours. Went and bought the fuel and filled it up, cleaned the machine and had it waiting for Monday Pick-up. The company picked up for additional $40.00 fee. Upon return, was called and told we went over the daily hourly rate. After reviewing the fine print we realized it was noted we were only allowed to run the machine 8 hours because we paid a daily rate (on a Friday). We were also told there was significant damage to both front panels. I am assuming when renting a mini excavator you should be moving blankets because anything else could possibly dent the machinery and you will be charged accordingly. We were charged $219.68 for damage but when looking at the statement, the majority of the fees came from Repair Labor Line Fees. They apparently take photos before and after but thats for their record-- they will give you a copy in the event you disagree with the damage fee. Just beware: the before photos happen without you if the machine is being delivered. Should have taken my own I guess. Take your own photos if you rent from them!!! Surprise surprise when they said it needed fuel- $63.60 @7.95 a gallon!!!So- at almost $900.00 it was a very expensive method to pull up stumps and dig a ditch to prevent flooding. I had two quotes from contractors for a fraction of this cost. Renter Beware-

Diamond rental has a wide variety of rental equipment but the prices are more than I expected. I am painting the exterior of my home and a sprayer is $100 per day. I am not a pro so I will likely pay as much to rent as to buy.
