Up front, dont live here unless youre really desperate. Im not even sure where to start, I usually stay away from writing public reviews like this online, but I feel the need to warn others. To begin this has been the most frustrating experience Ive ever had living in an apt and Ive lived literally all over the world in great places and dumps. The dumps were more accommodating than this place.First the water shuts on and off weekly without any warning from management. I call the super, who is supposed to be on call for issues as big as these and he ignores calls. After a while hell call back with the attitude like you just kicked his dog. One time he just never called back so I went to management the next day to let them know and now he gives me more attitude than anyone has ever. So I just stay away from him because he legit makes me nervous.After this I asked management to at least give the tenants a heads up that they will be shutting off the water for a while. Its a 100 yr old building, I get that they need to do repairs now and then. But weekly without any warning was unacceptable. Since then they have been emailing when the water will be shut off, so theres one victory.Another issue with the water though is that when it does turn back on, it runs brown, and I mean DARK BROWN, for a good 10 min before it goes clear, and even then Im nervous to drink from it. Ive brought this up with management several times and has not been resolved.Again, another issue is with the locks. They are incredibly old and speaking with multiple tenants both new and old, and they have the same issue. The front door lock works about 10% of the time. We have asked to have it fixed multiple times but nothing has been done. So a lot of time, we walk around the back of the building to the back door and use that one. Doesnt seem like a big deal but its a large building.Rent is relatively low for the area and they allow dogs which is why I went with it without doing much research, but now I am learning why.If you can, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE BEFORE YOU GET LOCKED INTO A YEAR LEASE.Other random issues:1. I get such spotty service in my apt I have to leave or stick my head out of a window to speak on the phone. I never have the problem anywhere else, ever.2. They say they have laundry facilities but they have two washers and two dryers for a building with 4 floors of people. Basically, good luck ever getting a chance to do your laundry.3. Before I moved in I was told the apt would be updated as it was quite run down in the bathroom, kitchen, screens were ripped up, the windows were old and the intercom didnt work. Nothing was upgraded. If it was, they used some old, hand me downs upgrades.Best of luck to those apt hunting. Beware of Lincoln Apts.
