Rented a couple times through Hallmac. No issues good campers.
I came just to see the selection of RVs. I got a great education and determined that they really didnt have anything that I wanted. If you go real high-end youre pretty much have to order them from the factory. I believe they were well-stocked 4 items under $200,000. The salesman was very polite and accommodating. I like the fact that he answered my questions intelligently get to the point. I would definitely give them a try if you live in the Detroit area and are looking for more of a trailer that a large RV.
Good website. Has a lot of information . Rv rentals are crazy expensive. Lol
Our family of four rented a 19 Sportsman camper for a week from them. It was last minute and they were the only game in town. We saved 30% from what other big internet business places charge. Instructions were clear, and came in handy at times (take notes if necessary). Very happy with the way we were treated and counciled. We drug it around way up north for a thousand miles with a 2020 Yukon. It pulled OK, but would do way better with a weight transfer and sway bar system incorporated from what Ive been advised.1st time camper advice that Id give would be to arrange the camper and camp ground well in advance. Site set up takes time and patience, so hang for a few days in any spot to make it worthwhile, dont jump around like we did. Also, look at online site maps and pictures when searching for an ideal spot within the campground, near a lake, river or woods if possible. We will rent from Shelly again, THANK YOU!
Ive tried calling. Ive left 3 messages. I even tried texting the number like the website suggested. Noone has bothered to return my calls or text its been 3 weeks now.
I would give zero stars if I could. Terrible in every way and I didnt even get to rent one of their vehicles. I called and asked about availability and price. The lady answered my questions. I called back to reserve and she said she would call me back to complete. 4 hours went by and I called back. She said she was waiting for the owner to approve my rental and she would call me back when he did. They closed at 6 so I asked and she said I would hear back before then. First, why do I need an approval to rent something you told me was available? I didnt do an application or anything that required approval at that point. I only wanted to pay so I could finishing planning my trip. Anyway, I didnt hear back that day. I called one more time just before they closed and got voicemail. I left a message asking to be called back. I never received a call. I called again the next day and got the voicemail again. I had waited until lunch to call to give them time to respond to my last message. Well I never received a call back either time. From that point on every time I called nobody answered. The voicemail was now full too so I couldnt leave any more messages. Well its been 3 days now. Not at any point was I rude or short in any way. I was excited to book. We I took my business elsewhere. I will NEVER go there for anything and will NEVER recommend them to anyone in the future. Im in sales and this was about as bad of an experience as you can get. I can only imagine what would have come up if I had actually paid them. I would recommend they get a better person answering the phones, maybe someone that is organized enough to call someone back if there is a problem. Anything would be better than throwing away money like she just did.
I’ve rented several travel trailers, from this company over the year’s and have had nothing but great experiences.
Never got an answer or return phone call
Fries were cold. Hot my pancakes as I was getting to leave. Felt bad for THE ONE ONLY waitress. He did his best. But it was a terrible time in there. Not going back
I really like the selection
You can go there, if you know exactly what you want. - I asked some beginner questions, being new to campers, and was told to look at their website and call once I got myself informed. The salesperson made a point of shoving 2/3 of a banana into her mouth while talking to me. Not unfriendly, just not helpful and not professional.Generally, the place looks low key.
We have had the same experience as the previous writer, very disappointing in the service, no calls, texts, emails, nothing for a whole week! even after we were told we could have the camper van. Will never use or recommend this website.
Really enjoyed the experience but they forgot to leave me the key. Best part, they drive camper to your site if you pay extra.
Love renting from here, great accommodations for any size family or trip! Best prices around
We called and tried to reserve a camper almost a month before our trip. Never got any type of confirmation and the payment never got taken out. Called multiple times, she either didnt answer or said shed call back and never did. She ended up losing our reservation and we had to scramble last minute to try to find something. When I called from my phone and she finally answered, she immediately got an attitude when I told her I didnt want her to call me back in 10 min because we knew she wouldnt. Extremely rude and unprofessional.
Ive rented from Hallmac two times and will again this year for our annual trip. Friendly staff and she always makes sure to take care of us. Ive never had any issues or complaints.
They refused to rent to us after finding out we had kids..
Never returned calls
Ive only viewed their website.
Communication is somewhat difficult at times, but overall great experience. Good RVs and great rental prices
