It’s nothing like supporting your own! it immediately felt like home/family when working with the company. my car had your typical day to day crumbs, debris & dust throughout the vehicle without any spills. (pics attached). it took them no more than 5 hrs to clean it. im satisfied overall. professional service & i will refer them to others. from afar, no complaints. up close, there are very very minor spots that i can wipe myself.

My car got hard water stains all over the front end, and I couldn’t get it off using any car wash or off-the-shelf products. The guys here worked for 7 hours and made the entire car paint perfectly like new(minus the stone chips). Strongly recommended!

Took my car here for issues with mold after massive flooding in the area. They pulled out the seats, carpet, and upholstery and cleaned, dried, and put it back together. It looks like new. Very pleased to have my (now non-toxic) car back in such great shape!

I went in for a preliminary wash and was undecided on Detail work.I met the owner and everyone there. I am definitely bringing my vehicle back.Materials, detail, washing process all 5 stars.Fresh Water, clean buckets, clean mitts every wash, different mitts for body and rims.Mirrors, Door Trim, Tires, wheel wells clean after driving through a unpaved road in the rain.

Was worried i was not going to be able to get a scratch off the entire driver side of my car. Rod assured me he could get it out. It came out amazing!! Highly recommend anyone that needs detailing or scratch removal to come here. Best in the area for sure!!

I cannot recommend Motor City Detail for an interior car detail. I won’t give this place a 1 star because at the end of the day my truck was cleaner than when I dropped it off, but I wouldn’t consider it detailed. I had a terrible experience with them. I took in my truck to have an interior detail which they charged $170.99 and a non-negotiable additional pet charge of $59.99 “because it takes extra time to vacuum and blow the carpet,” not remove all the pet hair. All the pictures attached are the results after the first detail. They told me that the center console was left alone because there were personal belongings in there, and as pictured, I had 2 charging cables in there. It was upsetting because before the detail was started, I was told that any personal items would be bagged and ready to collect at the end of the cleaning. These were the only 2 personal items I had in the entire cab and didn’t think it was a big enough issue to skip cleaning the entire interior console. I also thought it was appalling to leave that much water in the center console and they left a whole section of the truck unvacuumed. I told them I was unhappy with the job, so they came out to do a second detail while I was at work. Didn’t text or call to let me know they were there, like they said they would. Once they finished the detail, they couldn’t be bothered to leave me a voicemail or text message saying they were finished. Instead they tried calling me 4 times while I was in a meeting within the span of 5 minutes, parked my truck where they found it and left. I still found the driver side cubby wasn’t even vacuumed out. After paying that amount, I would expect more attention to detail, especially after discussing my experience with others and they said they had better results with much less of a cost and headache.

They did a great job detailing my car. They fit me in on a Sunday and had it done by 5:00pm. I couldnt be happier with the outcome. I am ashamed to admit I had enough dog hair in my car to build another dog but they managed to remove all of it. Thanks again!

The owner is great to work with. He did a nice job on my wifes Dodge Durango. We were very pleased with the result. Additionally, he discounted the price on the exterior work because he had not restored the badly damaged hood to his satisfaction. I must say we were please with the hood and would have paid full price.

You know that feeling when you get a big box for Christmas, thinking its going to be a great present, but its just...a pair of socks... thats what I felt today.For those who like short reviews:-- I paid $205 for a poorly done interior detailing. It was obvious that they did not shampoo my car. As soon as I got home, I grabbed my sponge, soaked it in water and brushed it over my seats. The results-- my sponge than the $205 I paid. I even attached pics. On top of this, service was terrible. The person working on my car, Jill, said I would get $50 off because my car took longer than 24 hours to clean (I dropped my car off at 11am Thursday and was told they may be unable to get it done by the end of the day, in which I said Friday noon was fine). However, when I get there to pick up my car and pay, the owner said I heard wrong and that it was only a gift card. The owner also claimed that the car was actually done last night, but he had them redo it this morning. If they did actually indeed redo it, I am shocked at how poorly the redo was. I was legit devastated and regret not doing a groupon for a diff location :( never again, motor city, never again. You can take your $50 gift card.For those who like long (but detailed) reviews:Here are the details:1. I own a Ford Fiesta (keep in mind this is a small car)2. I got the gold package + dog hair fee = $2053. I made a reservation to drop my car off at 11am on Thursday, July 13. They prefer 9am drop off to ensure you can pick it up same day, so I told them I was fine picking it up Friday at my lunch brunch, in which they told me it would be for sure done by 12.Heres what happened1. They werent done on Thursday, which was fine. Id rather have them do a thorough job and pick it up Friday.2. Its Friday now, and I arrive at 11:50am. I see two people vigorously vaccuming my car. Jill sees me and said she called me earlier to tell me it wasnt going to be done by 12, but by 1pm. I apologize for not picking up and ask why it was taking so long. She tells me that they booked too many cars to clean and couldnt get to mine. She tells me that they just started it today and have been working at it since 9 am and thought they would be done by 12pm. She felt bad about the inconvenience and said she would take $50 off. I said okay and get dropped off to work.3. I come pick up my car at 5:50pm right after work. Jill isnt there. Instead, some other guy who says he is the owner. He charges me and instead of taking 50 dollars off, he gives me a gift certificate for $50. I tell him that I was offered $50 off my bill for the inconvenience. He says, no, that I misheard. That the car was actually done last night, but he saw it this morning and had them redo it because he didnt like the results. Please notice how different these two stories are between the worker that I saw clean my car and this owner who claims he was there.4. I decide to pay and take my car home. Once Im home I take a good look and notice that my car was obviously not shampooed. Just to make sure, I go in my kitchen and grab a sponge and just wet it with water. I wipe my seats that have dirt from my dog paws and what do you know, it came off.Honestly, I wouldnt have minded not getting the $50 discount that I was told, heck, I wouldnt have even minded if I got charged an extra $50 IFFFFF my car was cleaned well and thoroughly. The owner said that they worked on it last night AND they redid it this morning? pleeaseeee. Dont lie. Thats the last thing I cant stand.Will not return.My sponge is more trustworthy.***edit: After reading the owners reply, I noticed that the final price was indeed $205 not $230 (I got confused with the $130 I paid which had the yelp discount excluded). As for my car condition, it was indeed covered with dog hair, in which Motor City did do a good job in vacuuming. However, as far as the car seats go, it was def in not a state where it couldnt be washed. As I had stated in my review, they did not shampoo my car and if they did, my sponge was better.

This place knows their stuff! We had purchased a used car for our teenage daughter that stunk of cigarettes and perfume and nothing we did was getting rid of it; we were all getting headaches if we had to be in it. We attempted detailing with two other businesses to no avail but Motor City Detail was confident, honest and knowledgeable. They performed a full detail and their ozone treatment until they and us were completely satisfied. It’s like they performed a small miracle on that stinky car!We also use them to detail our Jeep Wrangler after months of dirt and dust with the top down, and they keep all our cars looking great in spite of daily trips with two dogs to the muddy, dirty dog park. Went here to talk in person about what I wanted done with my truck, to see if they could fix what I wanted (chips, scratches). I met up with Rod who is the owner and spoke with him and he told me it shouldn’t be a problem, so I set up my appointment. Picked up my truck after it was done, only to find out nothing that we talked about was done. Rod was out of town, so I had to talk with the lady at the front desk. She told me the chips didn’t get fixed because Rod is the one that fixes them and he’s out of town and the scratches I wanted fix weren’t even touched. Later I spoke with rod and he said to bring the truck back in and that the reason they didn’t fix the chips, is because while cleaning the truck they found more then what they where willing to fix.All of that was a bunch of bull because I was already told he was out of town that day, so there was nobody there to even fix them. So I didn’t take my truck back because I don’t trust them. I paid $340 for the premium package. My time is valuable and it was a big waste of my time. I’m sure he’ll commit on this with some excuse, like they were just going to fix the chips as a courtesy but I would of paid more or take the truck someplace else if someone would have called and told me. I don’t write reviews unless it was a really good experience or a really bad one and this was really bad.

I have two vehicles that need regular detailing and I appreciate the personal service I get from them. The people are friendly, the work is always done on time, and the prices are good. Took our crossover SUV here for its first detailing. Had owned the car for a few years and use it regularly to transport 2 large dogs. They took great care of the car and had it looking like new. Had the interior of my 2012 ram 1500 which I had just bought used. It had an odor in it and was quite dirty but after motor city did their thing the truck was much much better. They didnt miss a spot and concentrated specifically on the areas of my concern. They shampooed all of the seats and carpet and it looked great after. Additionally they were extremely accommodating and even let me pick the car up on their day off. Ill be bringing my other vehicles here in the near future.

Very happy with their work - had the exterior waxed and the interior detailed and it looked great. My car was very dirty from the winter. They went over it while I was there to pick it up and touched up anything even very minor they saw. They were very quick as well - had it done in half a day.

To make a long story short, i had an incident where a large container of hummus blasted all over my dashboard and all over the front area of my brand new 2017 Chevy Trax. It was everywhere. In a desperate need for immediate action, one of my car buddies recommended this place. Simply put... I WAS BLOWN THE F*** AWAY!!!!!!!!! Stunning work on every level. Truly incredibly attention to detail. Car looked brand new and they got the smell out of the vehicle. i am going to make it my sole mission that anyone who needs a thorough cleaning of their vehicle hits up these guys. After taking their full detailing service...1. i found there are several spots they didn’t touched up2. They told me to pay $50 extra as they found some tree sap on my car. But i found that they didn’t touch on anything. They took my $50 unnecessary.3. Unprofessional service. They told me that they’ll call me when my is ready. After waiting the whole day, when i tried to call them nobody pick up the call.Very bad service. I don’t suggest anyone to use this service

I researched almost a year for a reputable company to detail the engine in a 2005 Subaru Wrx.This is a process that I wouldnt let just anyone perform. My wife and I got our car cleaned here about a month ago, and their level of detail in cleaning is second to none. Since the drive to the location was a little far away, I asked if it was okay to leave the car overnight, and they were very sincere and reassured that they will keep it secure in their warehouse until we pick it up the next day.The price is a little steep, but you get what you pay for and it is absolutely worth it. We have a german shepherd, the amount of fur was so ridiculous that we believed it was impossible to remove it, and yet there were not a single hair to be found.Very very excellent service.

Unfortunately I had a passenger vomit in the backseat of my car, but they were able to take me in just 36 hours later. I was very impressed with the result, and the price was very reasonable. Ive never gotten the interior of my car detailed before, but now I may stop by every few months to have them take care of it. Nice work guys!

Rod and his team are simply the best Ive ever seen in my career. On multiple occasions my team and I have been in a bind trying to get a rough looking car turned around within an unrealistic time-frame. And every time I have called, him and his team have gone over and above producing the best result imaginable. Example: we had a pre-owned black 911 Turbo we had to deliver in 6 hours and it had small scratches everywhere. He picked the car up and had it back to us within 4 hours and it legitimately looked like it was fresh off the factory line. Couldnt recommend them enough!

Today I had my car detailed at Motorcity Detail in Novi, and I can’t believe what an awesome job they did! I normally don’t write reviews but I felt compelled to let everyone know just how outstanding this detail business operates. When I first arrived, I explained to Rod, the owner, that my past experiences with detail shops were less than positive and he assured me this experience would be different. He definitely delivered. My car looks brand new and Rod has a customer for life!

I got a used car for my birthday from a relative and it was full of dog hair and stains. I found this company online and took my car there to be cleaned. I just picked it up and OMG it is like a brand new car!!!! They got all the pet hair out and it seriously looks like new! Thank you so much Motor City Detail! I’m not much of an online reviewer, but I felt compelled after taking my 2010 Ford Edge here for a detailing job this weekend.After a long, cruddy winter, - the 8th one with my Edge - I was looking to give it some TLC now that (hopefully) the warm weather months are upon us.I came across Motor City Detail while searching online and I’m happy I did. It was a refreshing customer service experience that I felt went above and beyond.Special shout out to the owner of the place, Rod, who was excellent.He provided personal attention to my car from my initial phone call, to walking around and assessing the vehicle with me, giving me what I thought was a fair and honest quote (actually talking me down from the initial package I wanted to get), and then talking through the steps of their detailing process to manage my expectations.My Edge isn’t exactly some exotic/high-end/showroom car, but the level of attention and service I received made it feel like it was.This is the type of local business you want to see do well because they earn it.
