I just joined Advisory Cloud, and have been impressed with their professional quality and responsiveness. In a short call, Erika was extremely helpful to set up my profile and send requests to several companies which may potentially benefit from my advice. I look forward to start working with them in full swing!

When I originally signed up with AdvisoryCloud, I had a job that allowed me some leeway in my daily scheduling, so that I could advise a company or two on their communications strategies. About two months later, my job situation changed, and I went from a salaried position to my own business with four clients that suddenly caused my schedule to fill up. Over a period of time, AdvisoryCloud slipped onto the second shelf and I found I didnt have time to use its services. When I was charged another quarterly fee for it, I immediately called customer services and asked for a refund. Fortunately, I was able to negotiate a way to obtain a refund for the servies I wasnt able to use. The companys customer satisfaction officer was very nice about it after hearing my story and was able to issue me a refund--even when legally she didnt have to do so. I am very appreciative of the companys willingness to meet me halfway. Memberships are very misleading, do not set up right expectations, and what looks like a yearly charge is a quarterly charge. Definitely not worth the money. And good luck trying to speak with someone not in sales.

After connecting with this business, I’m still not completely sure what it is. I had a call with a representative out of curiosity, but it only lasted about five minutes. She basically told me it is a paid service that I wasn’t a good fit for even though we barely discussed anything. I have experience on multiple boards, so I’m not sure what the required qualifications are. Perhaps she didn’t think I could afford the fees for some reason? Whatever this is supposed to be, it’s quite confusing.

I find it funny that the founder of this company says he never really used the platform and he quit on it there is more there, but I wont go into it. Its very clear that he wrote his own review and then answered himself. Ill bet most of the good reviews here are fake. So you can please stop hawking your sales emails to me.

Saw an ad on LinkedIn to register for the AdvisoryCloud networking platform to explore board opportunities. I was curious and so I clicked, which led to a call to action for me to set up a time to learn more. Only after taking the time to have the call did I learn that this is a subscription model where I would be charged monthly to be on this networking platform. In addition, half the call focused on the account exec telling me how great the company is instead of telling me what the opportunity is for me the customer.Not a transparent value proposition or clear product definition for the consumer. I hope they improve their user experience.

Honestly I believe this company is a scam. The sales rep lied about the cost and did not mention that your money will not be refunded. We cancelled before even being onboarded so we never received any service. We cancelled after seeing how much the company charged our card because not only was that price ever discussed but WE DID NOT AUTHORIZE THAT AMOUNT TO BE CHARGED ON OUR CARD. Please read the reviews on BBB, LinkedIn, or simply search reviews about the company online to see for yourself. Keeping our fingers crossed that we get a refund but will be contacting our local police to report this fraudulent company.

This company is an online scam!I highly recommend that you do not try the free trial they offer. They make it extremely difficult to cancel and before you know it, they are charging you $350.00. By the time I finally figured out how to cancel, the company refused to refund my charges. The company offered me absolutely nothing for what they charged me.

Just joined the AdvisoryCloud and I am eagerly waiting to be approved for my first Advisory Board. The onboarding was very straightforward and the staff have been responsive so far.

My first 3 months, I never really used the platform and nearly quit on it. I was a little upset when I tried to cancel and they require a 2 week notice before canceling which I think should not be the business practice. However, they offered me a free onboarding consultation to maximize my profile and usage so I went ahead and accepted it. I was happy to do so and onboard with a really professional and amazing consultant in Caryn. I am now really pumped and excited to use my experience, expertise, and credibility to help startups with advisory work!

I run a small software development company and believe there would be value in the platform by looking for potential advisory board opportunities. The platform requires a good deal of commitment to actually see some value. That is ok, as long as you have a couple hours a week to work on connecting with potential boards.My biggest concern is their billing practices, they are predatory and will automatically renew your subscription without emails, notice. Even after you had explicitly stated you wanted your account paused. The cancellation process requires you to jump through hoops and it is simply put shady.Be very cautious, of this company. I do not recommend to use this platform.

I have been trying to cancel this recurring charge to no success. There is no value here for me. Ive sent two emails to member services to cancel, no reply (both emails sent long before the 14-day cancellation term which I cant find anywhere on their site). And I just got dinged again for the second time. Automatic renewals are clever way to keep feeding the beast without consequence. I am now taking other steps to call AdvisoryCloud to task through my credit card company.

Had replied on the calendar Yes...double checked the phone number, its correct...but no call, after looking up AdvisoryCloud, I see its a pay to play subscription plan for having a profile on their platform. But cant pay if they dont play lol

My goal was to find people who could tell me what I didn’t know. I have the ideas and market knowledge to drive this company but needed someone who could ask me challenging questions. I particularly wanted someone who could shine light on obstacles I might not anticipate or express different approaches to new opportunities. The Quarterly Advisory Briefing from one of the companies I advise, Redshift, was well-written, with links to relevant background information, and thoughtful questions, some very open-ended, and some more specific. It is a treat to share my experience with companies that I believe will value my input and look to me for further insight and ideas.

Its a Total Scam Difficult to Cancel UnethicalA complete and total waste of time and money. Would give them zero stars if it was allowed. Completely meets the definition of spam. Unethical to the core. They chased after me for over ayear and made a series of promises (Your experience is great wow 40 years executive HR experience with major corporations including a Fortune 500 NYSE multi-divisional home builder...youll have no trouble getting assignments may be on the first day, etc.) none of which they delivered. After I signed up I NEVER heard from them again except to hound me for payment. They provide no value. I tried cancelling after the first 3 month commitment for $285 and they make it difficult no call, no texts, no emails, you must find the buried link on their website to stop the recurring charges and time sensitive so if you are one day over the 15 day advance notice (why do they need over 2 weeks when they have done nothing for you in the previous 3 months?) its so they can squeeze in another quarterly charge. Stay away. Heed the reviews and dont ever pay anyone to list your credentials.

AdvisoryCloud is a complete scam so be very careful before you sign up and put your credit card details into their site. They tell you that they have many high quality companies in their platform but in reality only a handful of small companies are available to connect with. I reached out to three to be a potential advisor and never heard back, not even sure if these are real companies or if they get communication that somebodys interested. When I tried to cancel they refuse to refund the quarterly payment that they deducted from a credit card despite several attempts to the extent that I had to file official complaint with state and federal government. These kind of businesses should not be legally allowed to operate and as next step I do plan to take some legal action against them.

Highly recommend to AVOID!This sounded like a great idea. But as I talked on the phone with their sales reps for a couple of times now, I can’t stop doubting the trustworthyness of the service. That leads me to the google review and I am glad that I didn’t rush into it.The sales call got extremely pushy. When I asked a few simple detail questions to understand the expectation, the representative, two of them in a roll, would beat around the bush and recycle the same paragraph which did not answer my question at all. Then they would abruptively cut off my talking and assertively told me that my concern was wrong...What a ridicoulous sales talk stratgy especially considering they are trying to bring experieced domain experts/executives on board for advisory work. You can’t stop but wonder.BE AWARE about what’s beyond “the great idea”. I didn’t have my credit card signed up yet to tell whether it is a SCAM, but reading the below review, I am surely not surprised.

I own a business listed on AdvisoryCloud. I heard from advisors that AdvisoryCloud reached out to them under my name (pretending to be me). AdvisoryCloud then confirmed they did send out a welcome letter to new advisors under my name (and apologized they did not tell me beforehand). IMO, thats just dishonest. I then asked to get in touch with a manager at AdvisoryCloud. They gave me an email, but I never heard back from that manager (my assistant followed up 5 times). I was hopeful, but all in all a bad experience. Id stay away.

I am participating in a two week trial with Advisory Cloud (AC) as an Advisor. I have been linked with one company, and have participated in a quarterly Q&A with the CEO. So far, AC has delivered what they committed to when they offered the two-week trial. I look forward to the interface with the CEO of the company I agreed to Advise. I do want to better understand the opportunity with the Cloud and see what it helps me accomplish as an Advisor to business... which means that I will agree to the Premier Onboarding Experience. In other words, the trail was adequate to bait me and get me hooked.Building the profile is painless, and AC was helpful. Using the information that I am an Advisor looks good on my coaching resume and LinkedIn profile.I would recommend anyone who considers her/himself well qualified to be a Remote Advisor to try the experience.

AdvisoryCloud is another of these virtual businesses that effectively market, acquire business, and then do not deliver leaving their customers, disappearing and unresponsive. Buyer beware. Signed up on May 5, 2020. Received the signup acknowledgment with information about next steps. I completed all three Board Advisory questionnaires. As of this review none of the actions indicated in the AdvisoryCloud initial response email have occurred. I followed up on this five days ago no response was received. After spending the time responding to the three Advisory Board questionnaires, and received the confirmation this information was received, I checked the web site and only one of the three inputs is represented. Again followed up and received no response from Advisory Cloud. In summary it was a mistake on my part to sign up. AdvisoryCloud is another of these virtual businesses that effectively market and once you sign up they disappear. My error in signing up I sincerely hope all others are smarter about this than I was. I think this is a good platform to document ideas for the company, but I would like a more personal engagement and know more about the companys vision, mission, size, financials, plans. I feel that for me to be of greater value I need more info.

The onboarding is worthless. Waste of money. They wrote the summary for me, and the reading level according to the Hemingway app was 14! Never got any requests within a 6 month period. Also if you dont cancel before 15 days before renewal, they are going to charge you anyway. They have a directory with your name in it, but does anyone ever look at it? This is as worthless as an internet phonebook listing. For that reason, this is a scam. Stay away.

Scam Alert! They position themselves as a way to join boards and promote your career and presence. They solicit you hard, typically though individuals on Linkedin. They tricked me into signing up and before I knew it they charged my credit card for a few hundred dollars. I called them immediately and said they could do that because it was in some disclosure which I never saw. They actually provide no useful service and I suspect many of the reviews here on maps are fake.

Ive enjoyed sharing knowledge with companies I am interested in assisting. Its a great platform to glean some really good insights on what businesses are needing to make it all go...very rewarding.

Okay, its not a scam, but its not really a straight forward service where each candidate receives equal value.I was rushed through my interview for the setup. It was not explained that there is considerable homework involved. It was not advertised that it would take 8-12 months before getting an advisory position. The profile (a sort of professional resume write-up) was just a rip-off of my LinkedIn page. I quickly requested to cancel and they denied my request. At first they wanted to pause my account. Then they explained they were changing the platform. When I called back to make the cancellation official I was denied again. I feel Im owed the $200 and $195.Some candidates were expecting jobs and charging a fee just makes it more difficult for that person. I was looking for a meaningful position with a non-profit company because I enjoy that type of work.

Not worth the money they charge you to join. I might as well have thrown it into the garbage can. Big regret.

So I joined this group expecting to have actual active companies. It seems like a bad dating site, they have all these pretty options but they are all fake or non active entities. The ones that are active do not have the ability or concept of how to even utilize advisors.This service felt like the user (me) pays for access to a bunch of potential work that does not exist or is very poorly represented to exist and the company of AC doesnt do much to facilitate any real match ups. I think its a terrible value, poorly executed, and borderline scam.Good for all those who had positive experiences but I would not waste the $285 for this service.Also when I went to cancel the phone number doesnt send you to any live human beings. So you need internet to cancel and I was in an area with poor connection so when i went thru the 9 prompts to cancel, yes 9 prompts, I kept disconnectng and had to start over. This resulted in me taking an extra couple of days to cancel (i did forget to continue when I got home) and I got charde another $285 for another useless 3 months. They also so far have refused to pro rate refund me (which I get is probably something they spell out in the Terms of Service but that is a disappointing thing to experience in a world of much better customer service).Id give this a zero if I could.

This system is not worth $1 let alone over $250. In almost 7 months I have not had even 1 inquiry about my services (Digital Marketing), but in LinkedIn I get regular inquiries. I just cancelled my membership ahead of time because its useless. Now I know why they have such an aggressive sales people, most likely people cancel and they need to get more people to pay. I dont recommend Advisory Cloud at all!!!

My experience on Advisorycloud has been pathetic. Firstly the person coordinated with me to onboard me was unprofessional and demonstrated lackadaisical attitude. She spammed my email everyday, and didn’t not join the call when scheduled to speak. Despite my non-interest in seemingly spam service to lure people for money, she kept insisting and reached out to me on LinkedIn. Secondly, customer service is totally missing with their people. It won’t take them long, and soon people will realize they are spam and charge high fees.

I enjoyed providing feedback specific to the organizations needs and questions, and look forward to providing additional input according to their future inquiries and their response to the feedback I have submitted for their review.

Working with an advisor to build and grow your company is one of the best things for any executive to do. AdvisoryCloud was a great way for me to connect with people I didn’t know before, and it creates a clear path to receiving insightful feedback from advisors, which I can then analyze and make smart, informed decisions that ultimately serve the best interest of my company.

Everything was handled well, and we will wait and see if it was worth the cost and time.

Signed up for a free trial, and cancelled the day before the deadline. They charged me anyway. Told me that I had cancelled 4 days after the deadline. I sent them proof that this was not the case, and I stopped receiving messages from their customer care center. No refund. This is a total scam. Charged me $285 for a quarterly membership. Of course, I would have kept the membership and gladly paid the fee if there was any value, but the service is sorely lacking... Stay away from these guys.

Total scam. They hounded me for weeks to try it, I agreed. They took my cc (big mistake) with the “cancel anytime” lie. After I checked it out more, I wrote them to cancel (to several of the sales folks who were hounding me) and forgot about it. They still billed my credit card and now the charge is in dispute. Not a good product. Not an ethical service.How these people sleep at night is beyond me.

I contacted every address available to cancel this valueless service. I received no response. The LinkedIn sales approach, piggybacking off of a known successful service solution was deceiving. I even contacted LinkedIn to let them know I did not appreciate the sales approach. My onboarding specialist did a great job of looking over my resumé and creating descriptions and the like. She walked me through all the steps needed to start, and had even found three candidate companies for me to start with. On less than three weeks, one of the three companies has taken me on as one of their Strategic Advisors.Not only that, but the rest of the AdvisoryCloud team has helped me with posts to places liked LinkedIn. All the support people have been very responsible and helpful. My only regret is that I didnt sign up earlier.
